I loved the staff!! Everyone was incredibly sweet and helpful, we had two young kids and even without a pool they had an absolute blast! Great cookie time and breakfast was awesome for being included! Will stay again! I got nothin
Easy access on foot to all the major stores, sites, and facilities in beautiful downtown Spokane. Parking is a bit challenging small outside lot and indoor parking garage is great but, small spaces!
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well stocked. Everything was in great condition. The location felt very safe.
Staff was very friendly and the location is good. The rooms are quite small and in need of an upgrade. They gave us a room on the second floor with a view of wall. Although the room was tidy when we arrived, there were signs of wear: stains on the chairs, hole in the shower curtain. For the price, I would go somewhere else.
Nothing. Average property I have stayed at this property a second and final time. Gave them a chance to redeem themselves and failed miserably. As a downtown location parking is a substantial amenity and only street parking was available. When will we hold hotels accountable for their advertising. General Manager promised to make things right with a discount via email and I am not surprised there has no follow through on that empty promise as well! RUN do not walk away from this property
We liked the location. The hotel itself was clean and the walking access to downtown Spokane and Riverfront park is fantastic. Even the complementary food and drinks were nice. The walls were very thin and the neighbor had a crying baby and toddler that drove us from our room. We understand it's the not the hotel's fault, but when we inquired about being moved to a different room we were met with some rudeness and told to "wait an hour or two" and that they would call the room and request them to quiet down. Good enough. However, the call never happened and the children did not quiet down. We inquired again at the front desk and were told they did not call the room and when we asked why not we again were met with a rude attitude. We left for dinner and returned to a fairly quiet room later that night. At 5:50 AM we were awoke by a phone call to our room phone. A gentleman introduced himself as "Charles from the front desk". He said a computer glitch had occurred and they needed to verify a number of occupants credit card info, we would just need to come to the front desk OR if we want, give him the info over the phone right then. We opted to go to the desk and he opted to hang up before we told him that. Later at the front desk we learned there was no "Charles" that work there. This room was targeted for credit card theft along a number of others and I wouldn't be surprised if he succeeded. We reported this to the front desk and were treated poorly a third time, however the manager did come out to talk to us and take all our info about the phone call and was a very nice person.

We liked the location and convenience to Downtown Spokane and Medical facilities. We enjoyed our dinner at the onsite Restaurant. Our Smoke Free room smelled of smoke. We had to open the windows for fresh air to help clear out the smell in the room. The in room Air Conditioning/Heating System had to be turned off as it just made the room smell worse. The chair in the room was stained, and the room was lacking the updating that I have experienced in other well maintained Red Lion facilities.
The Pictures online were not of the same hotel it was the other facility located done the street. Got our hopes up. We will not use this site or booking.com again.
The room we eventually stayed in. Comfortable bed, OK bathroom, no odd smells like we had in our original room. Our first room had an unpleasant odor, it made my wife feel ill and she started to have an allergic reaction to the room. We called the front desk and we were relocated in ~15 minutes down the hall to an acceptable room. However, it was a lesser room and when I asked for a lower rate the next morning, I was told it was billed through another vendor but the manager would call me to discuss. She never called. It was a $20 difference in rates.
For the price we paid we felt very taken care of, great views of the water, a delicious breakfast, comfortable rooms, it was a great experience!
Both pools were filthy, our shower drain was clogged, the room carpet was sticky. Gross.
Very friendly and helpful staff. ..they really try to make your stay pleasurable. Sporadic WiFi. Could not access in room or restaurant. Had to sit at bar to access. Advertised "river view" is more of a garden or tennis court view.
This Red Lion was build as a temporary hotel for the 74 World's Fair but was kept after the fair ended and good thing. The facilities. Are not overly luxurious but the amenities, location and staff more than compensate for any shortcomings. The river walk runs right behind the entire hotel and enables guests to walk downtown, borrow one of the hotel bikes for a ride or get a great run in.
Rooms were OK... But nuttin to write home about.. What didn't i like..... Well not enough time for all that.... But $11 for what they call a breakfast buffet.... These people should be arrested as they are robbing everyone.... From the price of the rooms to breakfast..... They should at least be ashamed of themselves.... They advertise pool and spa but fail to tell you they are only seasonal.... And be careful around staff and asking them questions as they can be a bit snippy... If you are looking to argue with someone for any reason i think that you will find that the staff is willing to help. Do yourself a favor just don't start here....
I had troubles getting on the wifi, he tried helping me and when he couldn't even get on he said it was my device that was defective and not there wifi. I Never had any problems before or since staying at your hotel. He kept insisting that it had to be my device and as a customer service person you do not insist that it is their device that is the problem, he should have directed me to their IT specialist and then let th deal with it. Also, we had our dog with us and we were given the idea that we were to be in a room that opened out directly into the dog area. We weren't but on the opposite side of the area. This made it inconvenient for when we needed to take him out. I Don't believe that I will stay at this location again.
I was impressed with the shuttle service and the friendliness of the staff.
The room was dirty with stained carpets and dusty surfaces. The toilet was clogged when we arrived. After waiting for maintenance for an hour, I was handed a plunger and told to do it myself. The only thing this place has to offer is that it's close to downtown.

A true plus of the Double Tree is the complimentry shuttle service to and from Spokane airport, the staff was nice, and the rooms were very nice.
Proximity to downtown. It was a little run down and was not as upscale as I would expect for 160.00 per night. Bathroom is very small.
The beds were wonderful. Staff at the hotel were courteous and friendly. Nothing in particular jumps out as something I did not like.

I liked how close it was to everything, just a short walk to shopping and restarunts. Our room was a little dated. I feel that it was not worth what we spent for our room. Also our heating unit was so loud, it woke us up every time it came on.
I liked the location The cleaning people took some clothe out of our room when cleaning it and they made no effort to find them and return them.

Your staff was great and very accommodating. The rooms were spacious and bed quite comfortable. Breakfast buffet was delicious and no long wait times.
Staff was awesome, room was clean. I would definitely look to stay here again. It was a bit noisy, I think there was a soccer tournament in town and several players were here as well.

very new, nice, clean, high quality of workmanship, One might think that when you pay $200+ per night that you would get all the bells and whistles. My bride and I recently stayed there and felt that when you are a guest parking $17/day should be included. if you want to have a refrigerator brought to your room it is $10/day. I kinda felt like the human factor and personal touch was missing from our stay. Multiple employees knew we had just gotten married and none seemed to care. I had always heard of nice hotels doing sweet things for guests celebrating weddings or anniversaries, so maybe I had high hopes.
Beautiful modern room! No coffee pot or mini bar in the room.
