We enjoyed a swim and soak after arrival. In the morning it was nice to get out on the river trail for a stroll before breakfast.
The location of the hotel was amazing. It sits right next to the Spokane river with a short walk to the river side park and downtown Spokane. The hotel has two swimming pools, an indoor and an outdoor with a waterslide-fun for the whole family. The quality of room was horrible. The room was tiny, in a hallway with construction going on and not at all comfortable. On top of all that the hotel charges an extra optional fee for parking!-That's right parking. I would have been much happier paying $10 more for a room with parking included than have it as an optional charge in my opinion. The bathroom was tiny to match the room and the towels were not clean-they had crusties on them. The bed was hard, not enough pillows and during the night the fitted sheet (that was too small) slipped off revealing the ripped, stained mattress below-disgusting to wake up laying on that! Overall, I dare say we will not be staying there again.
Nothing Charge for parking no breakfast small rooms. Room smelled of marajuana
Super friendly staff, and the beds and pillows are amazing! Room service was a little $
Great location with direct walking access to the park and downtown. The pool and restraunts within the hotel provided lots of entertainment. This hotel is already one of the more expensive options in town so I was disappointed to be asked to pay extra for parking at the hotel and then $12 per person for a breakfast buffet.
Easy access to the park, spokane arena & restaurants .I luved walking the trails by the Spokane river, they were endless.
Did not like having to pay for parking price is high enough to stay. So many other hotels near by do not charge for parking.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Red Lion. I was able to rest, relax, and enjoy the wonderful Riverfront Park which was a short walk from the hotel. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The only thing I can think of that may be nice is to have a place in the hotel where you could purchase late nite snacks. Microwave popcorn or a cookie would be a great addition to the coke and water machines. Also, paying to park in the hotel parking lot was a bit strange. I would be a little more accepting of this if valet parking was offered.
the staff was very friendly and helpful. I had the pool to myself 2 mornings and it was well kept, nice jacuzzi. Cost of breakfast was a bit steep-a yogurt parfait and coffee was $11. The first night I stayed there it was really crowded and I could not find parking and had to come inside to the lobby to find out we had to park in a lot across the street. Was not a huge deal but it was so cold and windy and it was a long way to walk
Rooms were clean and well arranged. Location in proximity to Spokane Arena was great. No free breakfast!
Beds are very comfortable and location was great Felt like I was charged for every little thing. Staff acted like I was an inconvienance. I have stayed here before but will begin looking elsewhere.
Very nice hotel, beautifully appointed and fantastic location
Nice bed and shower The last 2 times we have stayed here, the room has not been ready, By 6pm, it was pushing our 7o clock dinner reservations. Also in a suite, which comfortably fits 10 people, we were unable to have more than 4 people in the room.
We chose this hotel because of the sky bridge right into the performing arts center. Pleasantly surprised at how nicely appointed it is. Also ate dinner at "13" which was very tasty. Very comfortable, striking views from the 16th floor over the Spokane River. Convenient to downtown attractions too. Would definitely stay again. All of the pillows were very soft and squishy down-like consistency. It would have been nice to have a couple of firmer pillows in the mix. No extra blanket in the room.
Carpet on floor in hallway
very new, nice, clean, high quality of workmanship, One might think that when you pay $200+ per night that you would get all the bells and whistles. My bride and I recently stayed there and felt that when you are a guest parking $17/day should be included. if you want to have a refrigerator brought to your room it is $10/day. I kinda felt like the human factor and personal touch was missing from our stay. Multiple employees knew we had just gotten married and none seemed to care. I had always heard of nice hotels doing sweet things for guests celebrating weddings or anniversaries, so maybe I had high hopes.
Beautiful modern room! No coffee pot or mini bar in the room.
The staff was very nice. The breakfast was slow which it shouldn't be. The staff was great. The cooks for breakfast need to speed it up a bit. I don't consider breakfast a "dining experience" like I do at night. Too many things to go do
Fantastic, historic hotel that is beautifully decorated.
I liked the all around excellent service from the valet parking to the turn down service.
We stayed in the davenport towers and it was great. This was very short notice and everything from the valet to the room to the dining was first rate. I'm not sure why its not rated as a five star. This was the best value I've ever had in a hotel stay. Can't think of a thing
I love the historical elements of this hotel. The rooms are large, elegant and quieter than the newer Davenport Tower across the street. The staff are friendly and upbeat. The special touches include a nightly turndown with peanut brittle candy. The only thing I don't care for about this facility is that the atrium area of the main floor always feels dark. There is a lot of beautiful dark wood, andiIt is true to the original era I suppose, but when I took my book downstairs to read, despite the sunny day, the room was too dark to read in. It's such a beautiful room, I always want to turn the lights up a but brighter.
The Pictures online were not of the same hotel it was the other facility located done the street. Got our hopes up. We will not use this site or booking.com again.
The room was clean and the bed comfortable! Breakfast was okay The noise level was awful. We could hear people talking in the hall and every time someone took a shower it was loud and a whistling sound in the walls. We'll never stay again!
Very friendly and helpful staff. ..they really try to make your stay pleasurable. Sporadic WiFi. Could not access in room or restaurant. Had to sit at bar to access. Advertised "river view" is more of a garden or tennis court view.
The room we eventually stayed in. Comfortable bed, OK bathroom, no odd smells like we had in our original room. Our first room had an unpleasant odor, it made my wife feel ill and she started to have an allergic reaction to the room. We called the front desk and we were relocated in ~15 minutes down the hall to an acceptable room. However, it was a lesser room and when I asked for a lower rate the next morning, I was told it was billed through another vendor but the manager would call me to discuss. She never called. It was a $20 difference in rates.
Perfect location and comfy beds. It's looking dated.
I was impressed with the shuttle service and the friendliness of the staff.
The room was dirty with stained carpets and dusty surfaces. The toilet was clogged when we arrived. After waiting for maintenance for an hour, I was handed a plunger and told to do it myself. The only thing this place has to offer is that it's close to downtown.
I had troubles getting on the wifi, he tried helping me and when he couldn't even get on he said it was my device that was defective and not there wifi. I Never had any problems before or since staying at your hotel. He kept insisting that it had to be my device and as a customer service person you do not insist that it is their device that is the problem, he should have directed me to their IT specialist and then let th deal with it. Also, we had our dog with us and we were given the idea that we were to be in a room that opened out directly into the dog area. We weren't but on the opposite side of the area. This made it inconvenient for when we needed to take him out. I Don't believe that I will stay at this location again.
For the price we paid we felt very taken care of, great views of the water, a delicious breakfast, comfortable rooms, it was a great experience!
Both pools were filthy, our shower drain was clogged, the room carpet was sticky. Gross.
We liked the location and convenience to Downtown Spokane and Medical facilities. We enjoyed our dinner at the onsite Restaurant. Our Smoke Free room smelled of smoke. We had to open the windows for fresh air to help clear out the smell in the room. The in room Air Conditioning/Heating System had to be turned off as it just made the room smell worse. The chair in the room was stained, and the room was lacking the updating that I have experienced in other well maintained Red Lion facilities.
We enjoyed the stay with you. Your employees have a very poor dress code. The waitress need to look in the mirror before they go to work.
The location to all of the restaurants and wine tasing rooms was great. You can walk anywhere downtown and to the riverfront park. The beds are really comfortable and staff are super friendly. $17 to self park seemed a bit high for Spokane, but the overall value that this hotel represents makes up for the parking fee.
The Davenport is my go-to place to stay in Spokane. Close to everything downtown. I prefer the ambiance of the old Davenport but the tower is nice and no hesitation about staying there again. Main lobby was noisy and crowded and hard to find quiet area to sit / talk and have a drink. Very congested area.
Convenient to restaurants and stores
It's a very busy hotel with great staff. The location allows for lots of dining choices. That I couldn't stay longer.
The beds were great and clean rooms Didn't like that there were barking dogs waking me up and in the lobby as I walked by and another person was going to pet it. Staff wasn't awesome either told the front desk girl that we would put the parking on a different card at check out, she nodded and said yes perfectly fine! Then the morning of check out received the bill slipped under the door before check out all charged to the card I ask specially it not to be. So bad communication on their part.
The room was really nice, bed and pillows are awesome. Would stay their again, kid friendly. Like the walk in shower too. The meal we had at the safari room was not that good. Disappointing since its not cheap to eat their, expected better from the Davenport.
Great location, nice decor, friendly staff. Room service was bad. We placed an order and was told 15 mins. 45 mins later, we called and was told it was coming up. But they brought the wrong order. Caked again the right order was brought up. Customer service needs improvement.
Beautiful hotel, comfortable beds and pillows, nice amenities. Turn down service was great! Bathrobes in the room a plus! Hot tub and pool area a bit too small. Water pressure was a bit low.
I like the attached bar/restaurant. The look and feel was cool. The upgrades to the were very budget conscious for calling themselves a boutique hotel. More of a boutique style hotel.
Super friendly staff and very convenient location. Rooms were very well appointed and clean.
I enjoyed the style of the place and the location. Lots of restaurant and beverage options. Parking was a bit tight
Loved this place! Very cozy and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel Ruby is right across the street from the Knitting Fsctory, so it's perfect for staying overnight after a show. You can also chill out in the Sapphire Lounge downstairs where they serve food and cocktails. Definitely will be staying again when I'm in town. Nothing!
All the artwork made me feel like I was staying in some place where more thought and care is put into it. No coffee pot in the room.
Comfortable bed No bathroom exhaust fan
The overall hotel. The lounge/restaurant staff.
We liked the location. The hotel itself was clean and the walking access to downtown Spokane and Riverfront park is fantastic. Even the complementary food and drinks were nice. The walls were very thin and the neighbor had a crying baby and toddler that drove us from our room. We understand it's the not the hotel's fault, but when we inquired about being moved to a different room we were met with some rudeness and told to "wait an hour or two" and that they would call the room and request them to quiet down. Good enough. However, the call never happened and the children did not quiet down. We inquired again at the front desk and were told they did not call the room and when we asked why not we again were met with a rude attitude. We left for dinner and returned to a fairly quiet room later that night. At 5:50 AM we were awoke by a phone call to our room phone. A gentleman introduced himself as "Charles from the front desk". He said a computer glitch had occurred and they needed to verify a number of occupants credit card info, we would just need to come to the front desk OR if we want, give him the info over the phone right then. We opted to go to the desk and he opted to hang up before we told him that. Later at the front desk we learned there was no "Charles" that work there. This room was targeted for credit card theft along a number of others and I wouldn't be surprised if he succeeded. We reported this to the front desk and were treated poorly a third time, however the manager did come out to talk to us and take all our info about the phone call and was a very nice person.
When we were looking for somewhere to stay Montvale seemed great because it is located right in the middle of downtown, just a walking distance from everything. It seemed great. When we got there however we found the site we reserved the hotel through wasn't as truthful as we thought. There was no hotel parking so we drove around for 20 minutes trying to find somewhere to park, there was a $30 fee we were not informed of in case of damages that I haven't even received back, and if you are under 21 you have to have someone at least 21 staying with you which the site did not say either. All these things could've cause my trip to Spokane to go very badly if I hadn't conveniently been able to work around them. Also when we FINALLY found a spot and went inside the lobby there was no one at the desk. We waited for a good 10 minutes and no one showed up, it was only about 10:30 pm when we arrived. I finally used the phone and called the number on the desk they left and no one answered until the second time I called. After another 10 minutes we received our room keys and went inside. I was exhausted from driving for 8 hours and immediately went into the bathroom to take a bath. In the bathtub there were about 5 hairs. Of different colors and lengths that were not mine. It grossed me out so much I just went to sleep instead. All in all the trip went very well and I was grateful for the tea and coffee the hotel served night and day even though there were a few bits I did not expect.
High ceilings, fun interior, historic feel, nice staff Parking was AWFUL
Location was pretty good. The history and architecture made the hotel fun to be in. No on site restaurant was my only complaint but I would stay there again.
Eve is fantastic and now they have free breakfast Wifi doesn't work well
I loved the decor - it felt so luxurious. The surrounding neighborhood was wonderful to stroll around, and the nightlife seemed really interesting. Everything about this place is thoughtful and enjoyable. The complimentary breakfast was nothing to brag about, but it rarely is, and it didn't diminish my experience one bit. There are plenty of places nearby to enjoy a more full breakfast experience.
cleanliness, staff, downtown location, spaciousness, atmosphere $10 extra per day parking, trains, limited breakfast selection
Picked the Montvale for it's location and price, was very pleased with the quality of our room. I would say adult only simply because of it's location to bars (they're good bars though) and lack of breakfast options in the immediate vicinity. But the Satellite Diner and Sante are only short walk away. We also discovered that Post Street Ale House serves breakfast, which was awesome. The Montvale nor Hotel Ruby are really set up to serve a proper breakfast, props on the Thomas Hammer Coffee though. Luckily there are food options downtown. Post Street Ale House serves awesome breakfast nachos and Sante is a personal favorite for breakfast.
Loved the old class with a touch of modern. Breakfast was a block away, and small amount of parking. But if you love the elegance of 1800's architecture; then this is a definite yes!
Large rooms, comfy beds, right across the street from the fabulous Fox theater and an historical building to boot. Being only three floors high, there is a bit of street noise heard in the rooms. Nothing the hotel can do about it.
I loved everything about it, no complaints!
Nice style, nice staff, clean rooms Wont go back. Beds horrible. Couldnt sleep. Could hear neighbor room like there wasnt a wall there. Loud sex at 2 in the morning. No sleep and not rested
The room was great, and the history and character were well preserved through the restoration. The hotel will be even better when the surrounding construction is finished. No in house breakfast, but they offered discounts and complimentary breakfast at the Ruby Hotel, less than a block away.
Check-in, check-out, breakfast, everything was quick and easy. Location was nice right off the highway close to stores to pick up a few things for our road trip.
Great room! Fantastic lounge and dining! Will stay again!
clean, comfortable, great value for your money! 0 cons to report
Location for us was great, and the cost was very reasonable. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, although a little dated. We have stayed at the hotel before and will do so in the future. The staff has always been pleasurable.
Wonderfu staff!! VERY friendly and helpful!! My room was very quiet as it did not face the Interstate. This is an old and tired hotel (at least the portion I stayed in) that is in need of a renovation.
We often stay at Mirabeau Park when we are in Spokane on business or pleasure. It is always a pleasant stay, and the accommodations are clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is superb on weekends.
I liked how close it was to everything, just a short walk to shopping and restarunts. Our room was a little dated. I feel that it was not worth what we spent for our room. Also our heating unit was so loud, it woke us up every time it came on.
A true plus of the Double Tree is the complimentry shuttle service to and from Spokane airport, the staff was nice, and the rooms were very nice.
I liked the location The cleaning people took some clothe out of our room when cleaning it and they made no effort to find them and return them.
The hotel was clean and the staff were excellent as with all the hilton hotel chain
The staff, especially Alexandria, was very helpful.
Proximity to downtown. It was a little run down and was not as upscale as I would expect for 160.00 per night. Bathroom is very small.
Close to everything downtown
The beds were wonderful. Staff at the hotel were courteous and friendly. Nothing in particular jumps out as something I did not like.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool and hot tub area were quiet and relaxing, we LOVED that it was available 24 hours. The restaurant was expensive for the quality and portions. The breakfast buffet was poorly organized making it very difficult to navigate through all the hotel guests. The movie selections were very basic and the prices were ridiculous, almost double the price of going to the theater!
Cleanliness, courtesy, large rooms, great breakfast service, I really can't say enough about our room! No restaurant on premises, smallish gym, lighting in the rooms was a bit funky
It was clean and close to the airport The refrigerator and wall heater were very noisy. The shower water was only lukewarm in the morning.
Room was clean, bed was very comfortable, a great stay! Very hard to find in the dark!
Super friendly staff! The beds were comfortable and the floor we stayed on was quiet. Everything was very clean. I want to stay there the next time we're in Spokane!
Bistro ! Great to not have to leave the hotel to find dinner. Serving Maryhill wine's was a plus. Just need to move the wine selection up a notch. Nada
The room was so pretty. We would suggest the rosewood suite to anyone and give it a Five star rating. I am not sure how the three stars got there.we only used the king bed and slept well.
Nice staff. Easy parking situation. Comfortable. Clean. A little loud. Hotel is very close to the freeway. A/C was SUPER loud even on the "low" setting - sounded like a jet taking off.
Comfortable and clean room, staff was very friendly and helpful. Facility in process of remodel. In the process of remodeling so not all amenities as available.
It is close the the freeway and downtown. The staff were nice and pleasant, but it takes away a lot when they are smoking outside the lobby. It is run down, the bed cover was patched, there were stains in the ceiling tiles. One of the elevators did not work. If your room is on the freeway side of the hotel it is noisy because the windows don't seal well. Parking is even though it is free, is limited, We literally had the last spot beside the garbage bins. The continetal breakfast looked pretty good, but the eggs were cold, there were not sausages or waffles left. It just seems that it was not monitored well, so items were not replenished in a timely manner. This was a last minute choice for us of what was left. We will probably not stay here again.
The hotel was clean and located near downtown. There is a restaurant and pool that makes the hotel inclusive. The size of the room and bathroom were smaller than my personal preference.
Make your life easy and just stay here the next time you visit Spokane. This is a fantastic motel! Amongst other things it provides shuttle service to and from the airport and downtown Spokane. I found the staff to be extremely friendly and accommodating - often going above and beyond to meet my needs. I didn't get to try out the pool or hot tub, but the room was very clean and everything seemed new. I cannot recommend this motel more highly.
Walls were very thin. I could hear the people in the next room talking at reasonable volumes.
Breakfast staff were exceptional! Front desk personnel were cordial. Pool area was very clean. Walking distance to gas station Subway and Dennys. Nice breakfast. Shuttle took 45 minutes and two phone calls. Beds have soft edges, which meant it was easy to roll off bed when reaching for light.
Room was comfortable and remodeled. Breakfast was acceptable...I've had better and I've had worst. There were several hot and cold options. We selected this hotel because of its convenience to the Spokane airport. The facility looked dated in public areas but overall it was clean.
The staff was warm and friendly Nothing
We liked the rooms and decor as well as the breakfast. The beds were pretty comfortable and the staff overall were pretty friendly. The pool and hot tub were cold. The rules of no kids after 10pm was not enforced and thusly made the cold pool and hot tub even less enjoyable.
It was clean, the staff was friendly, and the complimentary breakfast was good.
Close to the airport. It's really close to the freeway.
Nice pool and spa facilities. We enjoyed the proximity to downtown. Rooms were smaller than I had hoped.
Your staff was great and very accommodating. The rooms were spacious and bed quite comfortable. Breakfast buffet was delicious and no long wait times.
The room was very clean and quiet. Everything was very comfortable. Because of all the snow, it was very difficult to find a place to park. We were there for surgery at the nearby hospital. The hospital said if we had mentioned we were there for the hospital we could have received a discounted price. We were not told of that, signing up through Kayak
Staff was very helpful and friendly.
I liked everything. The free shuttle to the casino, the nice room, and the good breakfast Nothing.
Everything was clean and appeared new or very well maintained. Breakfast was the typical free breakfast fare. They did have a DIY waffle maker, that was a plus. Nothing to complain about.
The room was excellent, the hotel was close to the airport and close to the people I needed to visit. There was nothing negative.
Everything's excellent staffing was very resp respectful incredulous I enjoyed my stay it was the most Pleasant Hotel peaceful come thank you for all your help and support to make me very comfortable I enjoy everything about the hotel thank you
Walls were super thin. I could hear snoring from one direction and a sick or pissed off baby from the other all night long.
Rooms are clean The steet light out side the building was shinning in the room. The curtains did not block the light. There also was a smell. Like an old smell. Overall I like to stay at wingate motel. I still felt the room was clean.
Room size is great, quiet even though it is right next to the airport. Very convenient.
Excellent room with every thing we could have asked for a very small price. The breakfast was the best part.
It was clean and comfortable. The shuttle took me to my conference and was very prompt. The way the front desk is set up.....each time I went to ask something at the front desk, no one was there. There was a wall with a back room and I had to wait for someone to peek out.
Very clean, nice rooms.
Convienent place for an overnight especially if you have a very early flight out in the morning. Breakfast available by 0530!
Close to the airport. Good breakfast included in cost. Booked the room that day. Friendly staff aside from the 'bitch boss' in restaurant.. Didn't get vehicle towed even though it was parked in a 'motorcycles only' parking space.
Proximity to airport Breakfast buffet plentiful but not hot enough Lukewarm water Inop Lamp Erratic Thermostat Dingy, stained carpet Food service chaotic and slow OVERPRICED!!
Free breakfast included in the room.
The staff was excellent, friendly and professional The food was really good with a nice variety
Breakfast was good That breakfast wasn't included in stay
After spending 15 tiring hours traveling, Ramada picked me up at the airport with a nice, warm vehicle, loaded and unloaded my luggage. The check-in was fast, everyone was very courteous, and gave good directions when I needed them. Breakfast buffet was good. Comfortable bed.
The rooms were spacious, the pool area was very nice, the breakfast was above what is expected and the staff were very friendly and helpful. No hotel shuttle needed, we could walk to the terminal. The rooms were a bit outdated with very uncomfortable pillows. The hallways throughout the property were rather dirty and appeared to not have been cleaned in some time.
nice staff, especially on check-in and at breakfast. Very comfortable and quiet room with all the amenities I needed, though it is a basic hotel and a basic room. nothing.
I loved them Having pool options for my young daughter to play in and the restaurant staff was amazing with her. The fact that we were put right next to a room that was being remodeled, we could feel them drilling in the bathroom next to us.
The employee Thomas No discount for fire evacuees
Close to the airport and a great pool area! Confusing layout and mediocre rooms.
My 3 yr old likes the indooor pool that's a plus
lovely, very nice rooms and bathrooms Too expensive!
It reminded my partner of the movie Derailed.....
Benjamin the valet/bell boy was sooo professional and nice, great young man! Bathroom was large. Allowed us to check in early. The $17/night parking was a joke. Its a couple blocks away and you have to pay every time you exit and enter. Hotel was supposed to give us some credit back, but they didn't. Room service charges seemed exceptionally high. No fridge in room. TV cabinet doors just swung open, they didn't recede back into the cabinet which I found odd and it took up a lot of room.
Good location, clean, comfortable room. No continental breakfast.
location to airport hairs all over sheets..wrinkled and dirty..i don't think the sheets were laundered ..maids just made the bed..so gross to pull down the blankets only to find long black hairs..YUCK
My Internet didn't work after 10 requests and me calling their 1800 No games for my kids and no business for me, money wasted
My room was very clean and nice. Staff were friendly. The continental breakfast was nice and even had gluten free bagels to accommodate my wheat allergy!
Staff was awesome, room was clean. I would definitely look to stay here again. It was a bit noisy, I think there was a soccer tournament in town and several players were here as well.
Pool, free breakfast Everything was great!
Uncomfortable bed and the loudest room!!
