Beautiful boutique rooms N/A
The bedding is super comfy and the overall look is modern and very pleasing. Great staff. The room was a tad too small for me.
Great location, clean and very friendly hotel staff. The Art Bar left a lot to be desired. Poor food and service.
Great location to tourist sites. Rooms are moderdon, clean, spacious. Room are not very sound proof.
Construction at an adjacent building seemed to go on all night long. Unable to have any silence or sleep. And then there was a taxi "horn-honking" demonstration in opposition to Uber. Worst hotel experience of my life.
Clean & facilities are modern Room is describe with "city view", only view is an office building across our room. No full service restaurant in the hotel but walking distance to everything.
The staff was friendly, respectful and professional.
It's clean, the rooms are really nice, and it's in a great location. I have no complaints. This place was awesome.
Noisy and crowded they day we were there a plain clean serviceable hotel Two things. Our room was between two college kid rooms with multiple tennants. They were polite but busy Other was we went to happy hour and the price was not honored
the view and the room was lovely, the hotel is close to the city hall and to the museums. Bar on the first floor is good. The pool was not very clean (passable) and people had to ask several times for towels. The pool area can be a great place - just add some plants, get rid of ugly fence, put a bar there....
clean, nice staff, secured parking, spacious rooms, microwaves in room, no smoking, comfortable bed and sheets Daily parking was over $40/night
I love the nicely decorated rooms and modern feel. Great location. Rooms not quietly. Could hear all traffic from the street and noise from other rooms and I was on the 9th floor. Would like to see Sonesta to replace those thin windows with something better.
Hotel is in convenient location and staff is friendly. Furniture and rug in room were stained and unclean. Housekeeping did their part to clean the room, but the stains were unsightly. Not sure how they can let people stay in rooms like this.
My friends in another identical room had a rate that was half of mine and was booked directly through the hotel. The hotel couldn't honor the rate for me because I booked through kayak.com. Very disappointing, kayak is supposed to find me the best rate and not make things more difficult.
There were a lot of negative reviews but we really liked it. Location is good, room is nice. Bed is clean and comfy. The carpet may need a refurbish but that's it. 4-5 stars.
It all started with our arrival and meeting Anton Ford at the front desk. Anton's the best.......friendly, funny, informative. Our trip to Philadelphia was awesome because the people were fantastic......no matter what we did or where we went. And Anton really got our trip off to a fantastic start. Thank you Anton!
Hello, I'm writing here because I'm very disappointed. When I booked the hotel on Kayan it said that there was a working swimming pool. There was not! I booked this hotel because there was a swimming pool since I need to swim for health issues. I'd like to get fully reimbursed for this stay. Looking forward to hear back from you. Thanks, Giorgio Arcelli Fontana
This was a very convenient location to downtown Philadelphia. The front desk staff were very pleasant. The room was adequate. The bathroom was clean. The water pressure and temperature in the shower were perfect. In the morning, I went downstairs to get coffee and mentioned that the coffee pot in my room did not work. The woman behind the counter made a note of my room # and gave me free coffee. I was pleasantly surprised. The valet staff was friendly, courteous, and efficient. The check-in process took way too long. When I got there, there was a line of about 20 people and only one person at the desk. I came back 45 minutes later. There were about 25 people on line but they finally added additional staff at the desk. The carpet in the room was dated and wrinkled in places -- creating a tripping hazard. The coffee pot did not work. The outlet in the bathroom did not work. We checked our luggage the last day to enjoy a few more hours in Philly, and the bell hop was grumpy.
Staff quickly changed our room as we were originally put into one with no working drawers Small bathroom, rooms need refurbishing , pool as well. Not the standard expected from a Sheraton
Location and friendly and accommodating staff. Carpet needs to be replaced.
The location and being able to park at the hotel. Also like that they have a pool. The The pool was shut for maintenance. No free Wifi. Parking was expensive.
Location Iron had black stuff coming out of it... the tub water didn't go down it took awhile for it to go down. They over booked the hotel so I didn't get the room I paid for.. I paid for a king and I got two doubles but it would have been fine if they are normal beds they were twin beds... uncormfortable for two people to lay down so we had to sleep in two separate beds smh..
It was a great stay. Reviews were so so, and was worried. Nothing to be worried about! A little older building but beds are very nice
no free WIFI No breakfast No minibar no free parking for the guests
The Best Leaving
Great location, nice rooms, wonderful showers, and the staff was friendly. The hotel restaurant was decent at best. It seems like it should be an attraction but is merely just a side note with interesting decorations. And they also charge $60 a night for parking at a hotel you are already paying to stay in. That was almost half of what I paid for the room. It's not NY or DC and shouldn't cost $60 to park. Ever. Anywhere.
The Good: Very luxurious rooms. Friendly staff. Really good food on site at the Urban Kitchen. Location was prime to get to all the museums and city center. The Bad: 2+ hours delayed check in time. Compensation was essentially a drink at the bar. This happened to many people around us. When we finally got to our rooms, there were NO towels!!! For the price we paid and the star value of this hotel, I was very disappointed.
Excellent breakfast at the farmers restaurant. Room was very clean. Double beds should be changed to queen beds. Poor drainage in bathroom of sink and tub.
The comfort of the bed. It just felt old, out of date, old school, stuffy. I was also surprised that the only amenity for such an expensive hotel was a tiny little cup of coffee, self-served in the foyer. You had to pay for everything, even WiFi access.
Really enjoyed my stay. While not traditional room service, the food at Urban Farmer was amazing.
The staff was friendly and accommodating. Old king bed with two craters on either side and a mountain in the middle. Sparse king suite room missing some typical and expected details such as a bag for ice bucket, a second robe, or a second cutlery set from room service. The staff was nice and accommodating, but we just stopped calling the front desk after the 2nd call. Also the vanity area of the bathroom was awkwardly massive - perhaps 12'x24'. It contained a single sink, and a separate make-up vanity (without a stool). The toilet and shower (no tub) were located through a separate door to the standard, camped hotel bathroom. Weird prioritize took of space, that made the suite feel awkward.
Comfortable beds, spacious room and bathroom. Very slow draining tub. Beautiful view from Assembly rooftop bar. Would stay there again.
The staff was absolutely amazing. Every interaction was welcoming and friendly as if every single person there had a mission to make my stay the best it could be. The food was outstanding also. We were pampered!
Wife and I had a great time here. The location, staff and food is excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel for adults. With Kayak's website I got a great deal, thank you. Age is catching up with this hotel, hall carpets, moulding need to be changed and the bathrooms should be modernized. I rate this hotel at 4.3 stars.
Food at Urban Farmer was fabulous. Quite a delight. Rooftop bar was excellent - beautiful view. Room smelled like smoke. First staff person apologized and offered no other solutions. Second call the staff person offered an ozone machine to clean the air. He never showed up. I called two hours later after dinner and they said they couldn't bring the ozone machine to the room, stating that the machine couldn't be in use when the guest was in the room. Disappointed in response and knowledge of staff.
Very friendly, knowledgable staff, ready to help at an instant. Very nice rooms, nice location
Staff were extremely friendly!
The location The customer service from employees was horrible when I went up for breakfast. Was going to be my first time staying at this hotel. After I found out they don't do COOK TO ORDER BREAKFAST like most embassy's and my room wasn't ready when I checked in as promised and the employees weren't friendly. I decided to take my business somewhere else.
Convenient location for City travels. Appears to be reasonably clean. Good value for the expense. The hotel is dated and well used.
We love staying at Embassy Suites with our two kids (6 and 8 years old). The separate space is terrific for letting them go to sleep before us. The included buffet breakfast makes mornings easier too. The physical property is very dated ... only one of the three elevators was working as we went to check out at 9:30 AM, so we walked down 18 flights of stairs. I feel really badly for the cleaning staff who are competing for space on the elevator in order to turn over rooms! That said, every single person we interacted with had five star customer service and a great attitude. For the price, I'd definitely stay here again, but there's nothing luxurious about it!
It was walkable to my event Elevators were busy
Room door did not lock caught it on the way out on a Saturday nite. Waited over an hour for maintenance. Had to move to "the only room left" which was not a king bed (two doubles) and did not have a refrigerator. Really ruined the evening as we were not able to leave the hotel until midnight when we were planning to leave at 10:30. Got a new room the next day and the toilet did not work. Maintenance was there in a few minutes. Very disappointing experience. Front desk comped parking but then put it on my bill so I had to fight at the desk at check out to get parking comped.
Recently I had my wallet stolen with my credit cards so I made the reservation with a relative's credit card, so when I checked in the ask for the credit card and obviously I didn't have it and the lady receptionist would not take other type of payment, so I lost the reservation and the money and ended up paying for a Holiday Inn which did accepted cash. Very bad hotel don't stay here.
I like the size of the rooms Our shower was broken, our toilet was broken, we were not given enough towels, we had to call down for toilet paper. The breakfast was good, but it was a mess which made me feel uneasy about eating because of how horribly unclean the whole area was.
The staff was great and very helpful. Our room was nice, very comfortable and clean. We liked the location as it was walking distance to some museums and also a Starbucks! Snacks in the early evening and free breakfast was a nice extra. I would definitely stay again at this Embassy Suites. My stay would have been excellent had it not been for the very long wait we experienced with parking. We were aware that it would take about 30 minutes from the time we called the parking attendant to have our car ready for us at the front. We called right after we finished our breakfast, went to our room to gather our things and check out. Once we checked out we waited in the lobby for our car to be brought around about an hour. We finally asked and were told that the desk had not told an attendant to get our car ready. They got right on it but we ended up waiting about another 25 minutes for our car, making us late to our outing. Had it not been for this issue I would rate our experience as excellent.
Loved the room and the staff. Breakfast was overpowered by cooking meat and eggs. I am a vega. There are vegan options near by.
