The Hotel had 50% good staff and 50% poor Staff were not always professional and helpful
The hotel is really nice and very well kept. Front Desk staff are very friendly and helpful. The welcome cookie is a nice idea! The pool and jacuzzi are great and the seating around the pool is great for relaxing.
the swimming pool, gakuzzi, the matress and the pillows the personel
The Hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, a good value for money, the cookies on the arrival, parking space. The breakfast recepcionist didn't speak anything but Italian, which i think is really bad when you work in a Hotel. We paid for a room with view, and the only possible view from the Hotel is the highway...
Very quiet location, excellent sized rooms with balcony, good breakfasts and extremely helpful staff Need to have a car to go to the city center and anywhere else as public transports are not plenty around the island
Very modern, walking distance from airport, Sky TV, good breakfast
The best hotel out of the 100 or so I have stayed in the past 2 years. Restaurant has amazing chef: almost the only hotel restaurant I would completely recommend. Free fast internet in all rooms, clean, nice pool, fitness centre, sauna, superb staff (allowed an 8pm checkout for no extra charge, and lots of other help), stylish, and has only been built 3 months ago. So good, we are making a trip to go back to the Jazz Hotel.
The whole experience although only for one night was superb. We chose it because of proximity to the airport for an early morning flight but much appreciated the high standard of the restaurant, the comfort of the rooms and the smart pool and sun terrace. The staff were extremely helpful. And it represented excellent value for money No
Wish to stay longer not just 1 night. Great room, food, wine, pool, staff, design...very close to airport. There should be another anotherone somewhere just on the beach
The hotel was very modern in design and facilities. Very comfortable
Swimming pool, restaurant, room, service, staff, luxury, cleaness, friendlyness no
Great restaurant !!, easy access to the airport, friendly staff only relevant as airport hotel
great hotel. We felt at home when we walked in the door and the staff were all excellent from front desk to maid to restaurant staff. Also, lovely view. Great location too for anyone flying out
Sentral beliggenhet. Nytt hotell med god standard. Serviceinnstillt personale.
Nice room, excellent bathroom
Nytt og delikat. Hjelpsom stab. Bra frokost. Flere gode restauranter i nærheten. Litt komplisert å finne frem til hotellet med bil. Trange gater og mange enveiskjøringer.
Nytt, innbydende og hyggelig. Gjennomført stil. Hyggelig personale i resepsjon og ved frokost. God frokost. Fast og god seng. Parkeringsmulighet i hotellets kjeller. Nei.
et meget bra hotel,sentrums nært
Hyggelig service, kjempefin dusj, lekkert rom og hotel
Spacious room. Very good location, right in the middle of the city centre. We had an early departure, and breakfast was not completely ready at 0700 hrs
Personalet kan veldig godt engelsk og var veldig hjelpsomme. Hotellet ligger midt i mainstreet, perfekt beliggenhet. Frokosten var ok.
Easy to find after a long car ferry trip. Lady at front desk really friendly. Free parking. It was very expensive for nothing more than a roadside hotel. WiFi was really slow and we couldn't use it for that reason. Okay for a quick stopover but don't stay here for a holiday.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and cosy. Breakfast was typically Italian - mostly sweet things. It would be good if breakfast included more varied food.
The room was lovely & big with a very powerful, much needed air con system. A good sized bathroom, with shower, bidet, stool & mirror for make up, a hairdryer & plenty of towels. The staff were very helpful, 2 out of the 3 receptionists spoke good English & all were handy for bus routes, maps, directions & even booking us a taxi! Location, only because it was quoted on the site as being just 'minutes' from the beaches, ferry & airport, this is not the case. It's about 30-40 mins from the beach & that's taking 2 buses. The hotel does have plenty of eateries etc by it & there is a bus stop right outside.
Very helpful staff, large family rooms, slight musty odor in the rooms, but otherwise very comfortable stay. The children enjoyed the large couch in the lobby for watching TV.
the staff were extremely friendly and helpful - a novelty in Italy!
The fact that we were only staying two nights! Everything other than proximity to the beach and airport.
Nothing. Staff were rude in restuarant and all of the food was overpriced and tasted discusting. The receptionist advised us it would be 20 euros for a transfer from the airport and when we arrived at the hotel we were told we had to pay 30 euros?! Also the car hire company which were recommended by the hotel and who the hotel actually called and booked for us, were a total nightmare and ruinned our holiday. This hotel offers no value for money atall and is the worst place I have ever stayed. Nothing. Staff were rude in restuarant and all of the food was overpriced and tasted discusting. We got half board and it was good value for money as the set dinner each night was really good. The restaurant was awesome and made up for any faults of the hotel. If you don't stay here, you should at least go to the restaurant while in Sardinia! I would be disappointed if I booked here for a week. It's not on the beach and it's not a resort as the advertising has you believe. We were originally given a smelly and dirty room on the ground floor facing the road. Only after a minor arguement with staff, we were given another room. The rooms are old and need an upgrade - should be downgraded to a 3 start hotel.
quietness, friendly staff, welcoming relaxing nasty smell on the balcony
Beach location, pool, gardens, friendly staff No
Very friendly staff, good atmosphere. Very near to a good beach. My husband is a vegetarian and he did not get enough food variety, specially for dinner.
Everything, it was lovely. The staff were very very friendly and were great with our unsettled toddler, especially during meal time on our first evening. Maybe not the hotels responsibility, but perhaps improved lighting on the small road to beach as gets very dark and there are a couple of nice tavernas on the beach
nice rooms, close to beach, nicely painted pool not open, dinner disappointing
Staff was amazing, view from our room was spectacular pool still not cleaned, although only 2nd day of oeration during the season
The Hotel Stefania is placed very close to Olbia and to the beautiful beach of Pittulongu. The Reception staff is very kind and professional. Rooms are good with a very good furniture Sardinian-style and offer a good view. The air-conditioning system is perhaps to be renewed/replaced with more modern models, as the present air-conditioners often create areas too much cool. The restaurant, while offers a very nice structure with good furniture, lights and views, should increase a little bit, in my personal opinion, the quantity of the dishes/food offered to the guests of the hotel. However, I wish also to stress that the quality of the food is good and well prepared/coocked.
Nice and spacious room, bathroom, nice buffet, the pool is nice and clean with its bar restaurant, large resort, good destination for relaxing. A nice hotel for familly and kids. Almost only italian channels, no international channels (one euronews, one german and one spanish). In the minibar, ONLY bottles of water...4 stars hotel. Almost 10 to 15 minutes from the center of Olbia, 20 euros each way. The spa and the fitness aeara do not belong to the hotel, it's private, so the access to the gym is not for free and it's not open everyday!!! Be careful. Almost 30 minutes to reach Porto Cervo, 100 Euros by taxi each way.
There wa few issues with our room, such as electrical problem & friendliness of the hotel staff at the beginning, however, by day two everything just worked out fine and we had a good time.
Everything is wonderfull! Room, breakfast, viewside...
rooms were clean, staff was friendly, breakfast was good and facilities were good very very difficult to find when driving and its so big that its like a mze
Hotellet ligger midt i den gamle bydelen med kort avstand til butikker og restauranter
Meget god beliggenhet. Hotellet var fint, men Olbia er en anonym og kjedelig by.
Rent, ordentlig Litt "gjerrig" frokost
quiet, clean, large rooms, nice personal, close to the port and city center (by car) a bit old furniture and bathroom , hotel needs renovation on the outside (looks quite bad), the shower cabin is very small (you don't have space at all to move), the breakfast is poor (only croissants and jam, if you find ham and cheese you are lucky) and you must ask for coffee or tea, the terrace was dirty
Wi Fi is not included
very quite location, clean room, nice and friendly hotel staff
Personel was always pleasant. The view from the balconey was nothing special. No information in the room recommending things to see or places to visit.
Only an overnight stay but location ( for airport and town),service and facilities excellent.
the staff were very helpful getting the air conditioning and tv to work, which niether did on arrival.
Extremely friendly and very helpful staff . Everything was perfect.
Good sized, clean rooms Staff were not that friendly, breakfast was very poor
room, location, breakfast
Receptionist was doing everytning - checking-in in the evening, providing breakfast in the morning, checking-out.. I wonder if she was cleaning rooms as well afterwards. I hope not. She was very nice, but I think it is too much for one person to do eveything in a hotel, taking in account the high price customers are paying there.. Terrible location in boring town - far away from everything - to stay in this town was mistake. Price too high for the location. There is nothing interesting around.. ok there are some small shops (e.g. selling cheap chinese staff with discounts) and bars on the main street some blocks away, but better leave the town and stay somewhere else.. All in all terrible expierence!!
friendly clean personal care good restaurant on the othert side of the streetnclosed night parking
In the centre of Oblia and has own parking. Not easy to find as in a very narrow oneway street.
The Hotel Cavour in Olbia is in the city center, just in the pedestrian zone. We booked a triple bed room and got a double bedroom with an additional folding bed. Hence everything was rather cramped. There was not enough room for our luggage. The hotel access was impossible in the evening as the pedestrian zone was blocked at night. Even if it were, the hotel has only 4 parking lots for cars available. The bathroom was tiny with only one light bulb. Compared to the price of 120 € per night for three, the hotel seems overpriced. Next time we would chose a hotel more outside Olbia at a lower rate.
location was perfect, right on the Piazza an close to train station
friendly staff, english speaking, parking place, directly within the beautiful old town
The hotel was central for all the port and airport facilities Could have had tea and coffee facilities in the rooms
central location plenty of reasonably priced restaurants nearby and easy access to buses, staff very helpful and friendly
The hotel has excellent potential but feels as if it has only been open a week and no-one really has a clue what is going on!! The rooms were clean and tidy but you should be prepared for a long walk (ca. 3.5km each way) to the Old Town and for basic facilties - including a poorly stocked bar and restaurant. Please see above - the hotel needs to remember that guests are paying and although it may still be relatively new, as a guest you would expect it to be able to deliver all it offers in its advertisements.
It was business trip for one day. Lack of internet conection
The location was good with easy access to shops, restaurants and the port in a pretty cobbled street. The interior of the hotel was attractive. Our bathroom wa clean but very dark and there was a bad smell of drains.
nice room with seaview, fiendly staff, walking distance from centre of town, which is very attractive for shopping and dining nothing
We used the Hotel Martini as a last night stopover on our holiday to Sardinia as our flight left from Olbia on the Sunday morning and we didn't fancy a long drive first thing after packing up at the Villa. Our Italian isn't that great so it was a pleasure to be greeted with reception staff who were fluent in English and more than helpful. We arrived a few hours early and they were happy to check us in to our of our suites (we'd been given free upgrades to both our rooms from twins to Suites - always a pleasant surprise !). We were able to chill out in the bar area and treated to great, attentive (without being over the top) hospitality. On the Sunday morning the drive to the airport only took about 10 minutes. A great hotel with excellent staff. There wasn't really anything to complain about but if I was to be really picky I would say that the location isn't perfect for access to the centre of Olbia (about a 10-15 minute walk through pretty boring streets).
This is a family-run hotel and the owners couldn't be nicer or more helpful. The standard of service was absolutely excellent - room cleaned thoroughly every day; bed changed every other day. Great choice for buffet breakfast - excellent. Nothing about the hotel. The actual place - Pittulongu - is lacking in amenities.
Friendly personnel; near to the beach of Pittulongu; good quality/price report. Same breakfast everyday; Near a country road with some traffic;
everything was fine
The staff is really great! location for car!
Cosy, nice services, good staff, quietly and good parking facilities.
It was very friendly, very well situated, very calm at night and the owner gave me suggestion about where to go during my stay.
The people who owned it were so warm and friendly and made you feel very welcome.
Friendly staff, clean and big rooms. a swimming pool
I liked the coziness of the hotel. Only 16 rooms lending a friendly atmosphere. First impression left us a little dubious but the doubt quickly vanished. No internet as of 10/2007.
It was our honeymoon trip. We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights, liked it so much that asked for another night to stay. And would have stayed for longer time but needed to move on... The hotel is small but with enough intimacy and privacy. We had a small room but it had a spacious balcony/terrace. So it was lovely to sit there in the evening and have some wine. The environs are amazingly beautiful - the Nuragh and ancient well are worth seeing. The hosts also suggested us a couple more places to go to. Well, amazing and very comfortable place. But surely it's mainly a car location.
It is of the style and quality level that myself and my wife appreciate. The Restaurant facilities where curtailed.
The grandeur and the breakfast. Large, comfortable bed. The noise of the disco we experienced on the Saturday night we stayed was very annoying. I specifically booked the hotel in order to get away from the noise of the camp-site so my son could have a good night`s sleep before travelling early the next day on an important cricket tour. At the time of booking it was impossible to know whether there were any noisy discos nearby. Also the air conditioning wasn`t working in our room so we had to change room, but this was dealt with efficiently.
Beautiful building spoilt by being right on a very busy roundabout leading to the port. Average size room but with a tremendous balcony opening out on to the street side of the hotel. Right in the heart of the restaurant and shopping area so not too far to go to find the main street and something to eat and drink. Good internet access in the room (by cable). Bit of an end of season, shoestring feel to the place (end of September). Had to leave my wife out in the street with the suitcases while I let them know we had arrived. Blank looks when I asked for help with the luggage. Eventually a luggage trolley was produced and the manager helped us transport our kit to the room. Breakfast was a little abstemious - not that there were many in the hotel! Air conditioning was not very good so I should imagine that in the height of a Sardinian summer it would be baking in the rooms.
Good looking hotel with glorious views over the harbour from the elevated balcony (we were on the 4th floor). Nice room (if a little cramped)with lots of toiletries. free internet!! We arrived in Olbia on a day when there were stalls set up in the streets and there was a fun (sic) fair on the other side of the street. The hotel was fairly full and it was only later on that this became a nuisance. The funfair did not go on too long so was not too much of a problem but there was a group of British guests who decided to have a Glee in their room with singing, chanting and poetry recitals until the small hours. Not great when you have to get up early to catch a flight! On another note I would ask when the hotel is going to do something about getting luggage in and out as those steps at the front are murder with 2 full suitcases!
