The pool and location of the hotel
We had to cancel our honeymoon and travel back home because of weather. We stayed here on the drive back to get some rest after a long drive. The room and staff were amazing and very helpful. They made our stay memorable. We will be returning to this hotel again when traveling through town.
The place was very classy and the staff extremely friendly.
Excellent customer service, clean, comfortable, good room service, modern, over all a great experience. I do wish they had a trash can in the bathroom though. One trash can in the room. It was also split for recycle, which made the trash side even smaller. They need a second trashcan in the bathroom.
The staff were great and very helpful. The room that I booked was a king room and we were out in a regular 2 bed room. When the air came on it smelled like a dirty and mildewed filter. We also ordered in room breakfast. The food was great but it came 40 minutes later than asked.
The suite was very nice and I loved the two tvs. My husband was able to watch sports and I was able to watch movies and other shows. The warm chocolate chip walnut cookies was great.
location was best for our reason for being there. some of the staff entered our room and stole money and credit cards. staff didn't seem to care.
no soap in rooms or towels and new owner who dont allow dogs but desk person said ok as its new policy and security guard woke us up at 2am saying to get out as dogs were not allowed told him clerk said okand he was going to call police if not out but we
Hotel is gross
Good location. Comfortable bed. Good price. Late check in was difficult. Room only had 1 pillow. No breakfast.
The staff was very courteous and helpful. The room I booked (2 bedroom) was not available, they compensated me with 2 reg. rooms for the same price. One kitchen was fully stocked and one had nothing but a frying pan. The desk chair in one room was broken and shredded.
It was near the interstate. Yes! It looked great in the photos but when we go there it was run down and tattered. The sheets had holes in them the curtain were shredded, the bathroom was missing towels, no toilet tissue no phone in the room. And this was the second room i moved to.
Buildings were run-down, rooms were not clean, towels were dirty. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
location should be a one star hotel. can tell no effort is given towards cleaning
Nothing... It was nasty! TV didn't work...it was nasty!
Nothing front desk clerk was super evil...
Quiet and peaceful N/a
This hotel was so nasty, I didn't even sleep under the covers. They didn't have towels, I had to go out and buy them and they had bugs. Do not stay there.
Nothing. No other hotels were available due to Hurricane Matthew evacuation. Tried to find somewhere else immediately after checking in but didn't have any luck. Staff gave our room key to another guest and they entered while my family was in the room. The accommodations at this hotel were deplorable. I honestly felt bad that my two little girls had to see this place let alone sleep in it. Stained couches, stained sheets, no toilet paper, no towels, endless bugs, etc. it was disgusting. STAY AWAY
We had a wonderful stay. Clean comfortable rooms. Parking was a bit of a nightmare. We ended up having to pay for valet parking in order to get our car parked. Parking
The Hampton Inn Downtown Montgomery is an old hotels from the golden era that has been beautifully renovated and updated without doing away with the beauty and charm of a classic hotel. There is a double staircase in the lobby that leads to a balcony that surrounds the lobby on the second floor. The elevators still have the large dials over the doors with a needle that indicates the floor the elevator is on. Just a beautiful place to stay. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean and decorated very nicely. They also have a fantastic free breakfast bar with hot food. Nothing! Absolutely nothing to complain about.
The staff were very helpful and kind. We ended up having to request a roll-away bed and they were able to accommodate quickly and professionally. We had a corner room with a lot of windows. Our room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was free and had a decent selection of foods. They charge $10 for valet parking, but we were able to find free street parking close to the hotel. The hotel is around the corner from a number of interesting bars and restaurants.
Very friendly staff - big room - wonderful beds and the best free breakfast, with the friendliest person my wife and I have met in the morning on the many hotels we have stayed in.
This place was very nice. If you like history, staying in something more authentic, this is the place. It's an old building that used to be the Grayson and has been modernized with still some old touches on the inside. We had a great room with a view of the riverfront on one side and on the other a beautiful Greek Revival church. We were on the top floor and were able to sleep with the curtains open. However, there are a few you oughta knows: there was not a fridge in our room. Maybe we could have requested one, but it didn't become an issue until we came back to the room w/leftovers. Also, there's not a tub, only a shower. Wouldn't be an issue, but there was only two small shelves to put all my stuff (shampoo, conditioner, etc.) and no where to set my foot when shaving. This won't stop us from staying there again though if we decide to travel or are passing through Montgomery. Great place!
Spacious, well-appointed room Great free breakfast Downtown Historic property Nothing!
Nighttime staff were exceptional
Great place to stay
Comfy beds, kitchenette, sitting area, hot breakfast, near restaurants and shops, convenient to interstate. Can't beat it for the price. Only issue we had was the key cards didn't work and we have to go get them re-coded a few times. No big deal.
Good quality room, breakfast was very good. Clean facilities. Had to pay for parking. Ridiculous to pay that much for room and still have to pay additional fee's to park.
Great location and great breakfast. Staff handled complaints quickly.. Mold behind nightstand in our first room. Switched to another room, and it was still really humid. $10 to park. Glass shower with no door spray water all over the bathroom.
This is a great location on the river right next to the Entertainment district had to call for maintenance for AC to get fixed first night, it drips from the air return into the room leaving the carpet wet below. The carpet was worn and ragged in this spot. Paint was peeling in the bathroom ceiling, cleaning staff didn't touch room after first night or leave fresh towels. Front desk wa responsive with issues, but these are things that shouldn't happen
The room was spacious and comfortable. The lobby area very nice. I didn't like having to pay $10 or $15 extra to park. My reservation with Kayak said parking would cost only $5 a day. I don't think it should have cost anything. Also, the linen on one of the beds was stained.
RIGHT NEXT TO BALL PARK THE BUGS IN ROOM
The staff was incredibly friendly and sweet with my 2 year old son. The breakfast was fun and had tons of options, we loved it. Our room was dirty. I had to look for one of my son's toys and therefore I inspected it thoroughly...under the bed was gross as was in the couch cushions and there was grime on the floor. There were cigarette burns in the couch. The pool was freezing. The hot tub was not properly treated and smelled like body odor and sweat (honestly, it was gross. we got out after a couple minutes and went back to the room to take HOT showers, then spent the next few hours hoping we didn't get skin rashes). The parking lot was full and I had to park across the street in a scary lot a block away and then run back to the hotel at night. Luckily I was told this by another hotel guest who had just found this out on his own. Once I returned I had to get the money I paid for parking refunded...so stupid and the whole process took forever. Overall not run well, totally ruined my trust in Embassy Suites always being a safe bet when we travel.
Spacious rooms. Clean. Close proximity to all things Montgomery. Safe. Needed an iron that worked and never received a new one.
Nice room. Everything was very clean and the service was great. Had an enjoyable stay here.
Nice size rooms Staff wasn't very friendly at the front desk!!
Excellent staff! My room needed a new love seat.
breakfast closes too early, time should be extended
Large and delicious free breakfast, friendly and accommodate night staff. Nice indoor pool. A few ants and the water wasn't Crystal clear, but it felt clean and safe. Also had a nice hit tub. Room was very spacious with a wet bar. Room was very damp feeling. Bathroom was clean butworn.
My friend and I wanted to explore Montgomery and came back to the motel late Saturday night to find a man in the parking lot staring at us as we walked back into our room. A few minutes later, somebody was knocking at our door. We called the front desk and asked someone to come to our room. They said they would come and never showed up. They did call back a minute later asking what the person looked like...which was particularly problematic given that we were trying to keep quiet to make it appear as though the room was empty. Additionally the motel keeps the blinds open on all unoccu
the room was quite smelly. The overall cleanliness was ok. The Hotel is situated right next to the I-85 and some fast food restaurants, which might be convinient after a long drive. For one night its absolutely ok. room was smelly. But the staff helped us out with some room spray which somewhat helped
Value, fridge, microwave, staff Nothing
This hotel is a very good hotel, with the budget that we were on. The staff were phenomenal-especially the lady at the check in desk (sorry I forgot your name). However, it is a great location-which makes it easy to walk to other restaurants that are close-by. Also, the landscaping view by the pool is beautiful. The free breakfast was also delightful & good. The rooms were clean and the housekeeping staffing were wonderful as well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone & will definitely go back again! :)
This place was awful. Whoever tried to clean the room just literally poured bleach all over the floor. I could not stay in the room because my eyes and chest were burning.
nothing hotel toilet didn't flush - i had to take the lid off and flush the stopper myself; the staff had to move me from my first room becuase the first one was in such disarray; no soap, no shampoo -- the manager had to bring it herself after 2 phone calls. the building itself looks abandoned and run down. the place is surreal, it's actually hard to believe that the owners allow the hotel to deteriorate into such a decrepit state. the carpet was disgusting. no place to plug in your computer or phone - how is it possible that in 2015 a hotel does not visible electrical outlets that aren't hidden behind the headboard? towels were paper thin and incredibly rough. I left after the first night.
The cleanliness of the property as well as the choice of furnishings in the room. I was awakened twice by someone on their staff attempting to enter the room although the lock was on the door. The computer was down when we checked in so she said they had no way of knowing which rooms were occupied. The wifi still didn't work after their computer issues were resolved, so I didn't get much work done.
Lobby was under construction, window in the room was covered from the outside so you had no view, place wasn't real clean, wasn't worth the money
Room smelled like paint hallway smelled like weed The smell
It was quiet, easy to get to with plenty of options for food and gasoline. Nice breakfast. And staff were friendly. The elevator was a little creaky, but it went up and down.
The staff was super friendly. The beds were very comfortable, and there were enough outlets to plug in all electronics. Breakfast was very nicely presented and a very nice selection. Did not like the bathroom sink. Looked nice but being rectangular water splash all over and was forever mopping up water. Another item that was actually dangerous was the tile in the pool area. The tiles were so slipper that we saw two kids fall in teh short time we were there.
Great place to stay with or without kids. We stayed in a King Suite and had more than enough room for 5 people.
The Hotel is located in an area with great access to restaurants and shopping. My room was very clean and quite. The breakfast hostess was very friendly and personally thanked me for staying at their Hotel.
Poor experience at the Hampton East Chase According to the Hamptons staff much of Issue I had was kayak and Expedia's fault. Apparently when you put in all your information on kayak it does not transfer your phone number so the Hampton had no way to contact me to let me know the one room they had left was a smoking room.
The coffee packs on the room with filter machine were a nice touch and something that I appreciateed The room had a really really bad damp smell that permeated the bedding, carpets and everything. As a result all my luggage had that damp basement smell after only one night. The cleanliness left a lot to be improved on. The tracks on the carpet and the dead roach in my bedroom left me very unimpressed.
good location sub par breakfast, worse then none. multiple rooms not cleaned by housekeeping. felt like holliday inn wanabe with good advertizing but no money for implimintation.
The bed was comfortable Cracks in tiles, stains on the sink, cigarette burns, chipped bath, mould on bath, no floor mat, missing paintwork, broken shower rail meaning a wet floor. Room smelt of smoking, no main Light, chipped woodwork, loose wall power sockets, loud fridge, stained curtains, door missing wood, cigarette ashes, stained floor, stained ironing board. Minimalist breakfast with plastic plates and cutlery, one type of cereal and at most three types of pastry. In desperate need of refurbishment.
Friendly service Decor was tired, basins etc were cracked and needed to be replaced.
Wasn't please with my stay after 2days and moved to the Holiday Inn Express and stayed 6 more days To much to write
For the dollar, it was great.
I liked the price I paid. The girl at the counter was exceptional. This looks like a independent inn that was once part of a chain. At least our room was clean and comfortable. I did not like the location next to a pawn shop. The signage is different on the building than in the pictures. I did not like the breakfast, except for the bananas - which I liked.
Friendly staff, clean space, fridge and microwave included. Nothing fancy, but it was all that I needed. No smell of smoke or anything else strange. Bed was great, but not luxurious. Cracked tilein bathroom needed replacement. Complimentary breakfast was all we needed in this trip, but again nothing to brag about.
I decided to reserve a room with a jacuzzi in it to relax after 10 hours on the road. Unfortunately the tub was very dirty. Had body oil build up around jets and hair all over it. The tiles had mild on them. Moving to the bathroom, there was hair in the shower also and appeared to not have been cleaned in awhile. The toilet had urine all over the seat and the floor. Moving to the bed the comforter had a huge (burn) hole in the top! Pulling the sheets back they had stains all over them. All around the room was very gross and not worth my upgrade I paid for!!! Was very hot in the room and halls. My ac never worked. I travel quite a bit and will have to say I was far from impressed....
The room was clean, no odd smells. The staff was very friendly and helpful. For the money; it was everything we needed . The breakfast seemed lacking in diversity. Boring ,actually. It would be tough to have an extended stay & eat breakfast there.
Staff's friendliness Nothing
As expected...clean room, comfortable bed, breakfast vouchers,
Friendly staff. Coffee maker didn't work.
Location After telling front desk person and also the housekeeping person to clean our room, it was not cleaned. The night before we had chicken for dinner in the room. We also had used up all our towels, coffee, etc. When we got back to the room later in the even
Beautiful grounds, clean pool area, lobby well decorated. Room carpet seemed damp, not as clean as the lobby area.
Breakfast is substandard. Room is not fully stocked with shampoo and soap each day. Mold growing in shower.
The room was clean and spacious. Nothing
Free breakfast was nice. Pool area was great.
Easy check in, accommodation for late check out, comfortable bed walls paper-thin and could hear all our neighbors
I like the friendliness of the staff. I liked the lobby decor. I liked the parking. I liked the breakfast and the restaurant. I liked that this hotel has room service. I didn't like that the television in my room was less than 32'.
The breakfast buffet, just enough variety to please every palate. Beautifully decorated lobby. Extra nice staff, very pleasant and professional. Nice to the restaurant,Magnolias, I believe is the name, excellent food and al s o offers room service. Can't think of anything I didn't like. I've stayed at this location previously and plan to return.
The staff was super nice and helpfull, from the check inn desk to the breakfast area, everyone was great. No
We enjoyed our stay, and will return to Homewood Suites whenever visiting the Montgomery area. We were highly impressed when we overslept and missed breakfast, yet the staff accommodated us by gathering breakfast items for two hungry visitors! Can't think of one complaint...had a wonderful visit!
The 2 bed/bath suite was spacious and clean. Great for 2 couples with small children. The room was quiet and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was nice. And the shower was hot! Wish we could have stayed longer but will certainly stay here again!
