the location was amazing, the room was lovely, the garden was nice, the lobby and the lounge the food was not good at all, neither in the room or in any of the resturants. the staff was not qualified nor experienced. when we checked in they could not locate our booking!!
110% satisfied with everything at the hotel. Beautiful, relaxing, clean and amazing service. Would recommend and would definitely stay again.
Excellent views, sunsets, location ideal for airport and sights. Hotel restaurants very nice in particular Asian restaurant was excellent. Staff very helpful - not one complaint. Liked the whole thing.
Thé foot qualité was outstanding.
Treated very well. The views were fantastic. The whole hotel was lovely. The food and drink prices were very expensive. Not many options outside of hotel to eat and drink.
Sunset view was nice. our daughter wanted to swim and that was the cause of choosing this spa and resort. however, swimming pool water was too cold so we didn't enjoy swimming at al. a staff member told me heating machine was out of order. Anyway it was very uncomfortable. Hotel staffs were not so very kind. They didn't smile at all. They look reluctant to work.
Having lived in Egypt for 4 years I believe the Hilton Luxor is the best hotel in Egypt without a doubt, for us it was just perfect. Location is slightly out of Luxor which again is great for a quiet time, The hotel does provide hourly luxor city shuttle buses. Breakfast and other meals were very good. The decor and staff are very welcoming, the swimming-pool is fantastic very relaxing. We will return No complaints what so ever
We wanted to have a romantic new year's eve by the nile especially that the moon was full at that night. Relaxing environment on the Nile - Landscape is ok and can be improved big deal. The hotel is trying hard to be a 5star hotel facilities wise, but speaking about 5star we speak about quality of service and not only about the availability of service. I would prefer them not to have a Zoo at all than having three or four poor animals sitting in a dirty cage. Reviews say the resort is the best; well, it might be comparing to other hotels in Egypt, but in 5star category we don't compare to average standard, we compare to perfection. Our room lacked some of the essential items in a 5star hotel (slippers, Bath robs, LCD TV, clear TV picture, etc...). The matress was torn and inside material was out. Open buffet is ok but food is not sophisticated enough for a 5star level. The new year's eve program was poor by all means including food.
the place was lovely- clean, manicured. super adorable cats all over the place :) the food was amazing- the buffet breakfast and dinner were great. everyone working there was very kind and considerate. two things i did not like at all 1) they spray some kind of toxic fumes every night to kill mosquitoes. it's horrible- when it gets sprayed a huge cloud overtakes the entire place and takes a good 20 minutes to settle. we would go in our room and put the towel on the floor to try to keep it out of our room but it would seep into the cracks. this is horrible and i wish they would not do it 2) the internet connection there was not good at all. we got it sometimes- but it was not reliable enough for anyone who has regular work to do that needs reliable internet.
Totally pleasant and relaxing, just what we wanted No
It is not a Hotel. These rooms are run down old motel units.
Nice swimming pools, great breakfast buffet, and the hotel is in a fantastic location adjacent to the Nile. Meal prices in the hotel are way too high for Egypt, as is the charge for use of the internet. The internet cafe outside the hotel entrance charges 15 Egyptian pounds per hour compared with the Sheraton's 80 pounds per hour.
Location Old premises, extremely dirty facilities,
Staff were mostly friendly, facilities were good On arrival they had no record of my booking, I had to wait almost 30 minutes to check in, they should solve their administrative problems in their own time, I had just come off a flight was tired and hot, I did not need to stand in reception when they solved their internal admin problems.
Good all round facsilities Waiters attentive if female!!
The swimming pool just near the Nile
Hagen og personalet. Beliggenheten. Skifte ut teppene på gulvene.
The service was good, nice staff We booked a room for 3 person, but Iberotel Luxor Hotel don't have standard room for 3 pax, so we got a military bed extra. We complain and they solved it with a normail bed.
Location near the Winter Palace is excellent, great Swimming Pool Private Wifi insanely expensive but one old computer at reception provided free for 15 min., Rooms were worn out, carpets quite dirty, prices of food and drinks very high. Kind of anonymous treatment.
We honestly didn't know what to expect but the hotel was really great! friendly staff and clean big rooms. The hotel is really very well run and I highly recommend it,I can say that our favourite city in Egypt was Luxor because of our stay at this hotel and also the day tours and nile cruise holiday we booked online with Beauty of Egypt tour company which was excellent in every way. no thing really!
reception safe were very friendly. The grounds were kept extremely clean and tidy.
We were at the same hotel last year. The hotel is set amongst beautiful gardens that are immaculately kept and a peaceful haven from the outside turmoil. 99% of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, however, sadly this was offset by three members who seriously need some training in how to deal with the public.
wonderful hotel, full of character. ..Great food,in particular breakfast was simply superb.the confectionery unbeatable..Confortable room kept very clean. The sunset from the room balcony overlooking the tropical garden unforgettable!
I like the pool Nothing to think of
very calm good located beautiful swimming pool and garden. Staff very kind. The swimmingpoll was closed too early in the afternoon
Spacious room over looking lawn area, great pool - suitable for laps or lounging about. House keeping tried to access our room (barge in) at 6:30am on our last day, lucky the chain was attached. Price of internet ridiculious, it's free at a cafe just up the road!
This hotel is a beautiful Oasis of rest and relaxation inside the dirt, noise, crime, and poverty of Egypt. Its beautiful large gardens and pool allowed us to walk outside by ourselves without being accosted or needing a guide and guard. It was really wonderful.
Great location next to Luxor Temple. Beautiful pool and gardens. Not enough dining options - especially for lunch. Furniture was outdated as well as carpets.
Absolutely stunning grounds created an oasis of tranquility and beauty. Vendors assail you almost immediately at the hotel exit. This was the experience in Luxor but repeated throughout many of Egypt's tourist areas. luxor
Visit temples and tombs Would like tea and coffee facilities in the rooms - makes a big difference to relaxation
They have an large pool and an extensive grounds right on the Nile. There are shops with a variety of products. (It seemed like a great facility for kids too.) The food in the restaurants was okay but not great. It is a bit out of the way in relation to the main areas (but they have a good shuttle service bus and boat).
the ation of the hotel and the hotel them
Peaceful retreat away from the madness of Luxor. Convenient shuttle bus to town, close to Luxor temple. Fantastic pool area, right next to the river.
Hotel layout, gardens swimming pool, was extremely good. A bit slow serice response
The hotel is located just few kilometers away from Luxor. It has nice garden and swimming pool. Me and my wife enjoined staying few days there. Probably the food can be better
Good garden direct on the nile. The staff is so slow!!! Takes years to check in and check out, it is impossible. every time since the first time I was here!
Garden surrounded your room Bad welcoming, no Turkish coffee at room, minibar was not available at my room,
Actually nothing. Hotel should be considered s 3* at maximum. Eventhough I have booked and pay for Superior room, we have been provided with Classic and poor room.
Excellent hotel. Beautifull rooms. The food is for Egyptian standards very good. Nice swimmingpool with a greatl view on the NIle. Good atmosphere, perfect way of relaxing after a busy trip in Luxor and the beautifull surroundings of Luxor. One kilometres from Luxor Temple and cenrum Luxor. I can't think of anything.
Location and room.
location in the city ratio quality/price
The room was clean, modern and large. There are many restaurants. Location is central. Pool and gym are in good condition. Staff are disinterested in helping individual (non group tour) customers. There's a hauteur and indeifference among front desk staff. Door to terrace of hotel room was broken and would not lock. That's a safety hazard. I asekd twice to either have it fixed or be moved. I was told I could only move rooms if I paid a $40 supplement. No one ever fixed the lock. Also, I was overbilled for minibar.
Location of the Hotel is excellent, it was noce to relax next to Nile river. Room was not very clean, and hotel staff were not very profesional. But it was simillar in other hotels in Egypt.
Nothing we paid for 4 days and only stayed for 3. We left early. For the rate you charged it was not value for money. Nescafe for breakfast and if you wanted decent coffee you had to pay? The spa was disgraceful as even of you had a massage you had to pay for use of the sauna and steam. Massages where far too expensive. I thought the hotel was overpriced and did not deserve it's 5 star status. A real 80's package deal hotel.I have stayed in hotels all over the world and was very disappointed. No free wi fi access which is essential to businessmen. I will not stay in your hotel again. I left the hotel a day early and went to stay at the Al Moudira which was amaziung. We had free wifi access and three of us had massages and use of the hammam for 2 hours and only paid 800 egyptian pounds in total.
Good hotel, central, on the Nile and staff is professional. All works, all is clean.
not much. the registration staff acted like they could have cared less. they were not very helpful. the room was dingy, carpeting along the walls especially. The Italian restaurant did not make us feel very welcomed. see above
Very nice hotel. Like most hotels in Egypt, the pools close at sunset.
Location wise was good Yes, the thing is that I have stayed at the first floor in to a city side it was very noisy people using car horn all the time.
The hotel has a great location, friendly staff, good view from the roof & swiming pool. Roof is closed after 11, and there is no place available spend time or for meals or drinks in evening & night.
spacious rooms, ac, rooftop pool, great views from the rooftop
Staff were friendly and helpful - arranged hot air balloon journey at very short notice for us.
Pool area opened at 9am dept of pool 4ft 6 approx traffic stopped at 1am
Cost performance. Room was clean. The hotel is located in a relatively quiet area. Bank is not available in the hotel.
Style Water factory very noisy near the hotel
I loved the amenities that the hotel offered. The pool was beautiful and relaxing. The movie screen set up at night was wonderful. The food was delicious. The staff was very attentive. The variety of shops were plentiful. No.
Veldig fint ute omeråde. Synes ikke rommet var noe fint til å være 5 stjernes superio.
Nice room with view, Pool, Breakfast ok, Good value for money Restaurants on the hotel area were expensive, Could sometimes notice on service that this was "tourist machine"
Sentral beliggenhet. Utmerket service. Lett tilgang til faciliteter av alle slag. Utmerket utgangspunkt for utflukter til severdigheter. Det var denne tipsinga da..... Men det har jo ikke med hotellet som sådan å gjøre.
Very good location in Luxor, just a walk away from the city center and very quiet for Egyptian standards. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was cleaned and refreshed everyday. All rooms have a small balcony with a nice view over the Nile and the Theban hills on the west bank that were fantastic. I cannot stress enough that this place is great value for money. However, it is certainly not a luxus resort. Decoration is outdated and not so much welcoming although rooms are resonably clean. They have some engines constantly working at the back of the building on the sixth floor (I believe for the swimming pool that is located on the seventh floor). This engine room is not insolated at all. Do not forget your ear plugs if you are staying in this area of the building (but do not let this discourage you from choosing this hotel, you will need to use them in most of hotels all over Egypt anyway). The breakfast buffet is varied and food is generally nice (also the one offered on the 7th floor terrace). Again it is great value for money!
The Nile view from de room and from the top terrace is lovely. When we got in the restaurant for breakfast there was nothing left and it was only 9am. (a group just entered before us). anyway we waited 15 minutes and they filled again
hospitality of the staff, the location and the budget
The hotel staff is good and are ready to help in all respects
The pool, was great after a long day. We asked for a room with a veiw of the Nile, which we received. The traffic noise during the night, was unbearable, I resorted to earplugs. I would stay there again but I would ask for a room further away from the front of the building.
i found that the staff were pleasant , helpful & the building was of sound structure .
Nice size room and clean and decent facilities compare to other Egypt accomodation. Excellent location. ( near to train station (~10 min), market (~5 min), Luxor (~ 5min) and Karnak temple (~ 15min), Luxor Museum (~ 7min), heart of Luxor city etc.) Toilet bath: hot water was not hot enough.Far too many tourist hunters waiting around hotel. e.g taxi drivers, horse carrage, cruise tour etc. They fight for the tourist, cheat and lies to get more money off from the tourist and hotel does not help to get around these nuisance people, but often shows ignorance. Also items such as shapoo was not new (it was something that left over from previous user)
the staff very friendly, clean and tidy room, clean bathroom, beautiful view on Nile, close to Luxor and Karnak temples, close to airline office.. the food was acceptable, but it should be improved in quality and variety.
the location is good. in front of a ferry, with very beautiful scenery in the evening
The hotel needs some renuvation
friendly staff, near to the city and the temple, big room we had to pay for internet
Excellent staff, they change the room when I complained. Good breakfast. Also kept my luggage after I checked out. No shower space and curtain, you have to stand over the toilet to get shower. No elevator.
The roof top terrace views and the restaurant food really make the hotel. Without them the place would not be the same. The location is great too.
The Hotel is well maintained and cleaned. Nice to spent the Holiday and having Good caring staff and a well maintained resturant. The Hotel is a four story building with out an Elevator. If there is a Lift its more valuble specially for elders.
Very good location in town
we organised a pick up didnt happen although admitly there was confusion on dates by the hotel... there was teatowels for towels, our pillow didnt come with a pillow case and the sheets didnt cover the beds.... other than that the place was clean, had fantastic view from the roof top, the breakfasts were average however i didnt manage to get a good breakfast the whole time i was egypt so i guess it increases it to fair. i would only recommend this hotel to the backpacker as it is good price and good location.
Great location! We were very glad that we asked upon arrival for a room overlooking the Nile's West Bank, the view from the 5th floor was breathtaking- it was well worth the some US$15 extra. We walked from the train station; it was easy to find. Our room was extremely clean and well equipped, with comfortable beds. The restaurant was very good and very reasonably priced- the Continental breakfast provided was better than anywhere I've stayed in the Middle East- and it offered a great range of Egyptian and "international" food. Great for those looking for the security of home and a retreat from the Midday Heat (or hassling street vendors and taxi and horse carriage drivers). On the same token, a tad sterile if you are looking for an authentic Egyptian experience, but even we didn't begrudge it's creature comforts once touched by a a dose of Egypt-Belly each (from the food and/or water on the train from Cairo).
You are in de middle of the eastbank of Luxor, Luxor Temple in front with sight on the Nile, Valley of the Kings and the rest of the westbank and at the back the souq and the rest of the towncentre. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is ok. The staff is willing to help you with whatever you ask.
Susanna Hotel is a great hotel. Location is great (directly beside Luxor temple), the rooms are good (new furniture, good A/C, nice bathrooms) and the hotel is especially nice on hot days. Staff is friendly and very helpful as well. They will help to arrange tours and provide you with directions. I was very please with the Susanna Hotel.
Amazing location, overlooking Luxor temple and The Nile (ask for a room from second floor up to see The Nile.)
Wonderful wonderful staff!!! Helpful and sooooooo friendly!! In our early in the morning arrival (8am),they gave us our room! The second day we were the only tourists there, all the rest were Arabs/Egyptians, but they took special care about us!! We thank you and do not forget you!!!! You are amazing humans! Manto and Maria from Greece! Renovations at the time we spent there (no noise). Funny elevator, once worked, twice not! Breakfast was not what it could be. But anyway,it was an unforgetable experience! If you like some adventure but also authen tic human contact, this is a very good place for you!!
