To be honest there wasn't much I liked about the hotel and I have stayed there before. This is my second stay at this hotel and I book it because it's fairly close to the Houston rodeo. You have to pay $9 for parking and I'm like you are really changing me for parking when I'm a guest at this hotel? No free continental breakfast really? Holiday Inn express has a great free breakfast. The sheets were seriously like 100 count plastic or something in case you wet the bed. The housekeeper entered my room 3 times starting at 7:30 to noon and we were trying to sleep. The front desk had gotten my reservations wrong and called my room at which time I explained to them we were staying 2 nights. Well I guess the front desk didnt believe me because they locked me out of my room. I had to go to the front desk and show them my reserverations. Terrible experience and quite frankly I dont think I'll be back.
I like the overall value in the cleanliness of the rooms I didn't like the 50 dollar deposit per room because I reserved three rooms so that was an extra hundred and fifty dollars taken out of my account
Nothing about this hotel That the rooms smelled awful so we switched rooms and there it was. The same smell. It smelled like heavy carpet smell. Turns out they were smoking in the room before we arrived. We were later told to heck out find a different hotel and leave. The staff weren't helpful at all since there was a big group checking in she didn't care about us
The room was comfortable. It was the first time we both stayed here. Out of all the places to stay in Houston we chose this place. What ruined our experience was that my new 2015 vehicle was vandalized in the self-parking garage. This ruined my whole experience and and impression of crown plaza. I reached out to a manager and she quickly pushed us to the valet staff. The manager was out of town so Eric just made me fill out an incident report. He stated the his manager Mr. Dillet would call me and till this day he still has not reached out to me. I had to call him consistently to get an answer. I've already spoken to him and I understand the outcome. It was just the way things were handled that makes never want to return to this place again.
I had a pleasant stay at Crowne Plaza River Oaks. The staff was very helpful considering that this is my first time in the US. The room was spacious and very clean, and you cant beat such price.
Beautiful spacious room. Front desk staff was wonderful Garage elevator broke and was out of order nearly two days during our stay.
STAFFS ARE ALL FRIENDLY & KIND. ROOM WAS CLEAN & COMFORTABLE TO STAY
the stay was very nice the service was good! I didn't like being next to nosiy neighbors!!
The hotel can use a renovation in the rooms.
Location is good, very convenient. The blanket is not soft at all
Elevators were extremely slow. Only 2 operating in peak hours. Smelled of unpleasant cleaning products.
Location, secure environment, large room, comfortable queen size beds, kitchennet area in room, beautiful accommadations, and extremely friendly staff. I did encounter one problem with no hot water in the shower. My parents were two doors down therefore my family used their bathroom. I immediately reported the plumbing problem. We were offered another room and given a credit for not receiveing full sevice in the room. The manager and staff accommdated my family quickly and graciously. For a family of three and my parents traveling with me there was no free complimentary breakfast available. I really think this should be included for the price of the rooms
Decent price. Good clean room. Noise from the highway kept me up. $18 for self-parking seems steep for Houston. Dining options at the hotel were mediocre.
Wifi is an extra cost
Staff were not always helpful. Shower was broken
It was close to downtown and other places we needed to go to. Clean hotel. Gave us clean towels on the second day. Quiet. No free breakfast and parking was $18 a night. No free wifi! Wifi was $13 a night.
Convenient location. Friendly staff Had some unclean smells about the place
the location of hotel is good. looks clean from outside. May be good staff..didn't interact much. ample parking available. the carpet was all wet near the AC and window area. we couldn't look out of the window and can't go near it because of all wet ness. bad smell in the room because of water getting soaked in the carpet. even after changing room the other one had same smell. elevator wasn't working. had to carry all our stuff plus kid in carseat through stairs. bathroom door was jammed. had to pull and push it very hard bathtub is too slippery.
Very friendly staff. Room was modern and clean. Would definitely stay there again!
The room and hotel facilities were as expected: clean and comfortable. The STAFF was amazing: attentive, helpful, and just outright friendly! I'm sold - I will definitely stay here again.
The staff at the front desk was very friendly, professional and courteous. The hotel location was perfect for us, close to Downtown, Galleria and Rice Village. The bed in Room 220 was old. The mattress was uneven, and it made sounds when you sat down. The carpet smelled musty.
Love the facility No microwave and freezer available and we have to pay parking fee per day.
It was nice, good beds, very good restaurant/ bar in the hotel. Staff was very professional. The price was a Lil high, but everything around was much higher so I guess it wasn't so bad.
Staff was nice and great location for our plans. Hotel and parking lot are under construction. We found out via comments after we booked and stay was not refundable. Bar and restaraunt were closed. Should've been informed and offered cancellation option.
I was double billed, once through the online booking and again by Sheraton. I still have not recovered the cost billed to me by Sheraton!!
Staff Price- having to pay to park-old worn out bathroom $14 BREAKFAST!!!!!!!
Front lobby staff were polite, helpful and professional. Service personnel greeted guests and readily provided directions. Wish breakfast was included but enjoyed stay overall.
Allowed late checkout of 2pm for us, comfy beds, clean feel overall, wifi, offers recycling The people who stayed in the room before us were testing the maids and did things like pour a little bit of water into the coffee cups without taking off the plastic cover. The maid didn't catch this so it felt a little off. The hotel seemed to be next to an adult store (possibly awkward if with family).
Room was clean Bed was comfortable Quiet Good proximity to freeway but has a side street that allows you to travel through a neighborhood away from the congested freeway and feeder roads. Small parking lot. Parking fee. No vending machines. Water in bath had a sulfur smell.
Noting, the hotel is in remodelation not have sufficient parking space, the door keys not working, very bad personal, no restaurant, bad bad bad. Noting, the hotel is in remodelation not have sufficient parking space, the door keys not working, very bad personal, no restaurant, bad bad bad.
good hotel claun not cost match not far from galarua 2mints by car
Reserved two deluxe rooms, but they onyl had one available. Management was not very on top of having rooms ready for the night and this was at 4:00 pm. Also, Candlewood has these energy saving cooling units, which don't immediately turn on or off when you adjust them. Plus they have motiont sensors, so if you are not in the room they turn off. That in itself was annoying enough for me not to want to stay there again.
The staff was friendly, the location convenient for our needs. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The rooms were a bit small and had an awkward recliner that was in the way.
Fire alarm went off from 1:30 to 2:44 in the morning, no one from Candlewood informed guests of what was going on, was it safe to return to rooms. Room wasn't clean when I went in and was informed it would not be serviced until after I left. Staff was clearly there for a paycheck only.
Facilities are ancient, haven't been updated in at least 20 years. Carpet, flooring, furnishings are all aged and show it. Bathtub is yellowed from age, and the floor is also coming up at the edges. The back side of the hotel looks like a divey cheap truckstop motel.
Location was great, rooms were big and clean. The hotel lobby and hallways are really outdated and need to be updated. Oddly enough when you get into the rooms they are pleasant and clean. The continental breakfast was just ok, but better than nothing,
Great location, close to almost everything. The staff were pleasant and competent. The room was clean and quiet -- although the A/C sometimes made a strange harmonic sound that was disturbing. Things started off with me getting a smoking room, they said there were no more non-smoking rooms available (even though that's what I reserved. The property is getting pretty long in the tooth and looks rather run down.
visible security in parking lot at night, friendliness at check in and check out, the hotel is on the interstate, but if your air conditioner fan is on, you don't hear the freeway noise tv only had 24 channels and half of them were sports and news channels. bathtub very small. towels very scratchy. hardware in kitchen and bathroom (faucets and handles) were loose. seemed outdated. i think it's maybe priced $20 too high per night.
I travel frequently and have been utilizing the services at Extended Stay! Houston Galleria was quiet, clean, comfortable and affordable. This stay was one of the best out of all my stays! I will choose them again and again! ~Merritte
It was an OK hotel
Great staff. Very friendly. Convenient location. The room was large and very clean.
