I have been travelling in 8 Olympic Games, 13 World Championship and a lot of other sportevents since 1988. I've been to 56 countries, but I have never, ever got surce service and enjoy out of a hotellstaying! We will bee back as soon as possible, and have already ordered for June 2009.Thank you, Leonardo! --------------------------------
the worst hotel, I have seen till now!
Hotel staff is very frendly and always at your service. Hotel is a walking distance from Skopje Fair. There are some minor things that should be looked after: bathtub stopper could not be remooved, tv programs are of a very bad picture quality.
Because I was driving at night in rental car from the airport, this hotel was the easiest to find. Free parking and wi-fi and within walking distance to the centre. Windows not soundproofed, so lots of noise from highway traffic and from construction site next door. Needs renovating outside, and rooms need decorating and updating...because of this I thought is was overpriced, which is unusual for Booking.com, their hotels are usually good value
I didnt liked anything, a poor hotel with poor staff, definetly I will not stay again in this hotel, and i dont recommend anybody elseto stay here. Definitly not a 4 star hotel, old, very old furniture, noisy rooms and most important poor staff, each evening at 6-7 PM the cleaning lady just entered the room withouth knocking, withouth nothing...same thing at 8 AM. Poor , very poor. Far from city center, you have to take a cab to reach it. Definetly you can find much better hotels in the city center.
Hotel is terrible; I will never go back to it. After 1st night I try to figure and found different hotel. The rooms are so dismasting that I ever did not take shower for 2 days, because the shower is so dirty. I will never come back to this hotel again and this hotel is just a mistake for this trip.
I stayed here twice, both at the beginning and end of my vacation in Macedonia, solely because it was easy to find by car, next to the highway to the airport. Free parking and wi-fi. Helpful, friendly staff. No soundproofing, noisy during the day and night...next to highway and construction site. Needs painting outside, old paint peeling off concrete! Rooms need decorating and updating. Over-priced because of this. If you are not driving, stay somewhere else!
this must be 3 star or lower and far from 4 star hotel
The staff was very helpfull on any information requested, taxi services etc It was very old building, no air condition, the window in the room did not close, no comfort at all
the location, easy to find, no problem parking, good restaurant, easy access to the city - taxi best solution, easy access to airport not cold, but not warm enough in the room
I booked the hotel because it has a swimming pool, it was not clear from the website that the pool was actually in the restaurant, with no loungers to use, only tables and chairs. In fact, it seemed the pool was only for decoration. With the exception of one, staff were generally unfriendly and unhelpful. The speaker blasting out music next to my room was also quite annoying. Price was exagerated for the quality of the hotel.
At the heart of the historical center of Skopje. The variety of the open buffet breakfast is good. The staff are helpfull. The hotel entrance is not suitable for handicaped people.
Excellent stuff. Good value for money. No restaurant.
The frendly staff; The accsses, surrounding
Good location, helpful & profesional staff. quality hotel with high standard accomodation & good facilities.
Nothing..... The reception staff would need a charm course, the air condition in our room where basically not working +30 in the room, the swimming pool out of order, the temporally breakfast room was horrible as well all the food and the fancy remote control for illumination in the room was rubbish. Too expensive for a crap hotel.
We were satisfied with the breakfasts. Also the location of the hotel was good to walk around both of the old and new city centers. There was no restaurant altough it was a 5 star hotel. The restaurant (hotel personal said it was a restaurant(!)) was only serving drinks in the evenings.Every time we get hungry we had to go out and tried to find a place to eat.
The staff were excellent-breakfasts were outstanding fruit/ choice of eggs cooked by chef etc.I liked being able to walk out to the turkish bazar and to the stone bridge . Kapan an really near for great evening meal just a couple of hundred yards. Hotel staff could not have been more helpful-even gave a takeaway brerakfast as we left early for flight on last day access from one side by taxi through market was rather shabby
room with view noisy air condition in room, not possible to sleep, thin walls between rooms
+ Central Location (5 min away by walk from center), Excellent Staff, Comfortable Room, Clean Bath, Affordable Price... - Old Building, Old Furnitures, Average Breakfast
nothing tv does not work ,internet does not work ,ac does not work lift nor proper they have not match the international facilities
Very good location. Near to park, stadium, city center. Over street very good chinese restorant. Rooms is litle dark.Furnishing, bath is litle old. I don't know. Location is very dificalt for building repair. May be only new bath and more light in rooms
Friendly personnel. Nice location. The hotel was a little shabby and stank of paint as they were painting the walls in the hall even during the weekend. The personal computer worked very slowly. They had put a cupboard in front of the window - otherwise the room could have been lighter.
Helpful staff, good breakfast, central but in a quiet side street promised internet connection in the room didn't work at any time
very friendly staff there is no parking I think
Reception staff friendly and helpful. Location was quite central. Internet in room (although probably not in all). Breakfast was good. The room was not value for money but there is little choice in the city. Room is very basic and small. Rude night porter. Bathroom and shower pretty poor. Room of average cleanliness.
- location, size of the room - the room was not clean, beware of hotel personel, that could try to cheat you by offering the airport transfer with double price and an old car, poor breakfasts
Air-conditioned rooms, all featuring a computer with free internet access. Reception staff very friendly and always willing to help. Shabby furniture.
Very good and central location. Very nice view of the central sqare from the little hotel café balcony. Crummy and dingy looking building, no real street entrance to the hotel.
Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location just beside the central square. Well functioning wireless Internet and working table. Good beds. Breakfast is had in a cafe around 50 meters from the hotel entrance; good breakfast. Some days the cleaning did not function properly - mainly because I was in the room working during the housekeeping period. The building is a bit run down but the hotel (top) floor is ok. The elevator is an experience... The hotel is a bit hard to find even for taxi drivers. Ask for McDonald and then it is located along the diagonal street towards the square. The sign is hard to find...
Excellent location and good value for money. Good breakfast too!
it's location is excellent,in the center of the city.it has an excellent view of the city. it was an old and historical building. it has some problems about cleanliness of the room.there wasn't liquid soap in the tiolet.the restourant that the hotel contracted for meals, wasn't good abuot the service.
Alas, no hot water for shower this morning. And voices all night long. ..youll want a white noise maker. See above.
Clean and basic accommodation, very close to the Turkish quarter. An excellent buffet breakfast and was very happy with our stay and the price. Would stay again if I ever visited the city again.
Very good location close to the old city; nice staff and good breakfast Problems in the bathroom with water seeping out on the floor
Great location. No Wi-fi.
The helpful and friendly staff made the stay very enjoyable
The location next to the old bizarre is fabulous. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable.
help of staff with day to day travels, excellent tv chioce of channels, good restaurant next door
Breakfast especially breakfast with burek (börek) was delicious...That was a 5 star breakfast that its not common in the hotels...All staffs were very helpful and kind...Gabriela, Volan,Boss, Şehrazad.(dunn her real name actually)..and the others .Highly recommended to the families, business travellers, single travellers etc... Nothing ! everything was great
Close to city center Room painting
staff in general were ok, but one person from Alaska (Valon) was perfect! help, information, taxi cheaper... he is a good person. It is very important when You are far of your house, to find a persone that you can trust (Steeve Canadian) internet not work
Probably location was the best part of it. Near to the city center Hotel is showing 4 stars grade on booking.com, and it is hardly 2 stars. Room without desk or chair
Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Room was spacious. They have a heater in the room, what looks like a picture on the wall, after turning the heating on you just realize, it is the heater itself... marvellous :-) Good value for the money. Didn`t have my reservation on arrival... but had free room, so it was sorted out straight away. Cold colours of the room, tiles on the floor, but nothing too bad really.
Freindly staff above all, free wireless internet and the services which you typically wouldnt find ina hotel with this price. Rooms are nto attended to on a daily basis, towels too tough.
The staff go out of their way to help you. They showed me a room first to make sure I am happy. Very friendly service team. It's located in a quiet area and has some good local restaurants not far from the hotel.
lovely and peacefully receptionists it could be more comfortably and it was too far to city center
Staff was polite and helpful. Good breakfast and quiet surroundings. The hotel's good for a stopover but maybe less so if you want to explore the city for a few days, as it is pretty far from the city centre. The room and its bathroom were a little cramped, but again not a problem for a short stay.
very peaceful no place for parking
Hotel Manager and staff very friendly and helpful.Spoke excellent English and nothing was too much trouble. Hard towels and the breakfast was very 'dry'. Fruit and yogurt would have been a very welcome site. Oh, and a toaster.
People want to change, on guest suggestion. WIFI free. Location is really poor, even with cheap taxi. Size of rooms are very different. This time I get the worst.
Excellent service,excellent hotel.
Hotel Vip definitely is worst experience ever.Room is big,but old furniture. The bathroom is old and not so clean.Breakfast is to poor with old bread. This is not good value for money.
The is located near major road, which took me directly to my city Sofia, it was easy to find it. Taxi to the city center was about 1 euro, so I didn't find any need to use my car. There is WiFi internet which was important to me, although with medium to poor signal, but it was good enough to read my emails and to do my work. Room was fine, but I didn't stay there longer than few hours during the day.
Breakfast was not disgusting We booked a double bed room and were offered a room with a single bed and something like a dog sleeping place,at the end we got a bed 1.4m wide for two, one pillow, towel etc. the lousiest place met till now. the position indicated on your map is wrong: we finished in a sort of casbah, maybe the right place for that hotel
I would give it 5 stars......very affordable, situated in a very nice and quiet area, yet at a close proximity to Skopje's downtown area. The hotel is immaculately clean, especially the rooms. It feels like they have a 24h cleaning crew working there. Nice for the business traveler as well as family oriented short term stay. The staff is very professional, friendly and helpful.
The Staff was Very friendly and helpful. They even let me borrow copies of the local tour guide books to help me find my way around. The breakfast was a variety of local flavors and was well stocked. The room was small but very comfortable. The bed was huge and made our stay very nice. I slept well. No complaints it was a wonderful weekend.
The hospitality of the staff is amazing. They not only helped with directions, but also informed me of local event (jazz concerts). Additionally they gave me a custom list of local Macedonian musicians that they recommended to my interests. nothing
Getting a taxi was easy Stairs to the top floor
hotel facilities were good value for money , shower was amazing
Clean and comfortable, near city centre Breakfast disappointing
The personel, the hotel at all To invest in renovation and to clean more the rooms
Short distance from downtown. Shower water pressure
kindness of the staff, nice breakfast, very good matrasses The room does not have curtains so you wake up early because of day light
The staff is hospitable, parking possibility, free access to the internet, quiet room (203), comfortable beds. Lights in bathroom were not repaired even after complaint, floor not vacumed for days, no hairdrier in bathroom, electrical fuses were jumping out when electr. heater in bathroom turned on, poor breakfast. Not a 3 star hotel and far from being luxurious as advertised.
They had no idea that we're coming, so if you're booking you should triple check before going. The hotel is extremely hard to find, Skopje has no gps map and all the street signs are written in slavic. No panoramic view as described. I'll never consider this hotel as an option.
Friendliness of staff, clean rooms, nice breakfast No
The facilities/room were great. The staff was very helpful.
Location was good, quiet and away from the city center. Breakfast was very poor. Good parking. Breakfast !
very friendly and helpful staff, cosy rooms, close to the city center but simultaneously in a residential area
service, hotel staff
The hotel is located up on a hill quiet away from the city centre. Of course the hotel staff could call a taxi for you or you could walk along the road and stop any passing taxi. If you have the time, walk to the city centre is not really that difficult nor is it that far.
It is very walkable to the centre of the city albeit uphill on the way back!! The staff were very nice and friendly. The sheets and pillowcases were made of a very rough material which were most uncomfortable. As the room is off the reception, there is a lot of noise with people coming in and out. I can imagine a late check-in keeping guests awake! There is also a mention of an airport shuttle - this sounds like it's free! It isn't! We paid 20 euro for a lift to the airport.
The woman at the reception was very kind. Breakfast not included even if it was written included. Too cold in the room and no additional blanket
It was comfortable and friendly. Nothing
location: dowtovn under the hill Vodno; verry quiet location; kindlly staff. should served breakfast in special room
The room and bathroom were both heated. There was a snow storm and it was very comfortable. Our taxi broke down and the staff came and picked us up during a snow storm. It was not easy to find
The rooms were clean and modern. Staff was good and spoke good English and were courteous. the walls were thin and you could hear when other guests were moving about especially during the night
great view, comfortable bed, clean and tidy. location slightly out of town but therefore quiet and taxi's very cheap. Nice garden and pool area for the hot days. No bar as such, however did serve drinks but choice very limited. Pool empty when arrived, filled after a couple of days. Lack of sunbeds, but don't suppose many people go to Skopje to sunbathe.
The atmosphere in this hotel is cosy and the dining/tv-room area is more like you are staying at home. The hotel was really quiet and gave us privacy. During our stay, there was almost no other guests. They also have fridge in the room (not a minibar stuff in it), which is nice. I think the breakfast was a bit poor, but instead they had a real filter coffee, what I liked.
The staff is composed of young people who are extremely kind and helpful. There's a small but nice swimming pool which can be certainly useful during the hot Macedonian summer. The hotel has opened fairly recently, which means that no taxi driver knows where it is located (though they eventually find it). And you must take a taxi because the hotel is pleasanrly locared on a hill looking over the city, but definitely far from the city center. Another little problem for those like me who cant easily sleep with light in the room: the window curtains are really too thin, and in summer this can mean a very early wake-up.
