Nice quality linens. Front desk staff were all very customer oriented and professional. Breakfast was very nice and area large enough to not feel crowded.
There was not one thing I liked about this property. As a frequent users of this chain thus property was a disappointment. The staff was rude, the property was dirty. The staff complained about being overworked. My room was not acceptable and they refused a room change.
The hotel seemed pretty clean. The 24/7 cookies were pretty good. Location is convenient to hwy and many restaurants. Did not like the handicap bathroom. It was a lil odd. The hotel staff always seemed to be absent from the frontdesk or on the phone. Everything was fine, otherwise.
Housekeeping at 8 am! Can hear everything going on Disgusting rooms
Not too much - just that it was pet friendly and we could bring our cat into the room. Found sink drain plugged. Staff brought a toilet plunger to clean the sink where we brushed our teeth and washed our faces - UGH!!! Front desk clerk rattled of an obviously memorized "welcome" speech so fast that neither of us was able to really understand any of it. Another "guest" parked their truck with a refrigeration unit which ran all night right outside our window - noisy..
Location is good for the price. Someone got a key to my room and walked in to my room while I was in the shower. Ignored by staff
Great location right off 95. Took me forever to find a place to stay online that didn't have complaints of bed bugs and dirtiness. This place is perfect for a one night stay. No breakfast that I saw. A/C unit did not work in the room. Fortunately, it was 50F outside so I just turned the fan on but the room was a bit muggy so A/C would have been nice. For some reason the bathroom floor flooded while I was in the shower. I didn't see any leaks and the shower curtain didn't have any holes so I have no idea where all the water came from.
Friendly staff, spent a relaxing night. Felt secure. The in room fridge was loud, didn't notice until the TV was turned off. Not a deal breaker.
great pool, adequate breakfast, responsive and attentive staff they need to attend to cleanliness more carefully. Though the room looked clean, it was only on the surface. Bathroom baseboards were very dirty. There were creepy white stains on the seat and arm of the upholstered chair. We washed our hands a lot while in the room; fortunately, they provided lots of soap. The pool and deck area were very clean, as were the public restrooms and breakfast area.
very clean room, service was great, parking was a breeze location perfect
Candy and Bill at front desk very friendly. Room clean, functional and bed firm. Nothing of note
Great place to stay! Very clean room and friendly staff. I did not like that you can get the room cheaper if you don't book through an online site.
Very clean with comfortable beds.
Staff was pleasant, room was very clean Furniture was worn and scarred, decorating was dated. One lamp didn't work but front desk staff said they were alone so couldn't come to fix it - asked if I wanted to bring the light bulb to the front desk to check it!
I forgot a blanket there, called them an hour later and told them. I was later getting back by there to pick it up and they had gave me a reminder call. Got blanket and was on my way back to va.
Very nice manager! clean rooms! Big rooms! Comfortable beds!! Excellent breakfast! Loved the muffins! And fresh juice i think! Loved the small nutella packets! Free and fast wifi! They have a pool and a hot tub though i didnt use it. A bit on the expensive side. Room service would have been good since it was expensive already.
Some rooms had refrigerators some did not, yet this was not disclosed nor was there a discount for excluding this advertised amenity. Beds were uneven- not s comfortable sleep.
Rooms very clean. Best value for your money Nothing
A couple checked in at the same time without reservations and received a rate for the same room $15 less than Kayak by using either their AAA or AARP membership ID. I tried it the following week and obtained the lower rate!!!!!!!!!
Great location. Beach views and access are amazing The room was not ready on time, and after a 12 hour drive, that was a bit frustrating. They gave us a discount for the first night. The fellow patrons were constantly drunk and loud throughout the stay.
Easy access from I95. Very comfortable bed. Great breakfast. TV had a loose cable connection. I had to fiddle with it to get it to work- temporarily- before it quit altogether.
excellent breakfast menu clean breakfast area very nice helpful staff thank you for only having the weather on the TV and not the depressing news,,,,which is not always good for families with all the ugly topics no newspapers available
Great value clean and friendly staff.
Location and the staff were very professional.

Location & proximity to local restaurants N/A
Loved this hotel. Clean and quiet, it was everything we wanted! Nope, had a fantastic stay. Two thumbs up!

did not like that it is pet freindy and you can get the same room that might have had dogs or cats in it the nite before .If someone with bad allaig is staying there that mite be a problem they should keep the pet in all the same rooms
Comfortable bed, pillows, sheets; spacious and clean; great location near i95, and close to a good selection of restaurants and stores. Room AC unit was noiser than normal.
Townplace Suites is like a slightly scaled down version of Residence Inn. It was well appointed. The work desk area was one of the best designs I've seen. All the tech connections plus a roll-out desk to create more work space. The kitchenette was nice. No ramp in the curbing at the door for rolling luggage. Odd.
The only thing that made this hotel average was the staff member that worked around 1-130 the day of July 22(Friday). We were not pleased with the room we received & she called residence inn next door & they (Sparkle Cotton) accommodate us,Thanks to her The rooms were nothing like the pictures online, the lobby area smaller than advertised, & some of the staff members were not friendly... Just the one sweet lady that helped us July 22 around 1-130 Friday. Thanks to her we were accommodated.
Clean, new and comfortable! The expensive pet fee
Clean, new. Didn't like getting studio room, was cramped, even for two because of its design.
There were some reviews about the rooms being dirty. I didn't have that problem at all. Everything was clean and tidy. A breakfast in the lobby was convenient/appreciated I wish I could have gotta a little lower rate
BED BUGS!!! Management has taken over a week to process my room refund. Terrible service.
Pet friendly does not mean that smell of fur/pet is everywhere, especially from the carpet. Fitness room is not well managed: out of order, and noise from inappropriated setup.
It's clean, checkin and checkout are quick and easy, and it's pet-friendly! You'll see lots of pets around!
I love that this hotel chain offers rewards and allows guests up to 2 pets to stay free of charge! My husband and I always look for La Quinta because of its pet-friendly policy and have been quite happy with the cleanliness and convenience of these hotel amenities.
We love this place because of how pet friendly it is. Anybody who travels with their dogs should definitely consider this place.
Fairly clean and organized. Parking and keyless entry were good. Check in was good with someone waiting at the desk. Complimentary breakfast was horrible and just thrown out there with little care. Not sure the eggs were real and sausage was under cooked a bit and fairly greasy. Just a loss of personal touch. Donuts, bagels, and other stuff were on the stale side. Check out was slow as nobody at the counter for several minutes but could hear them chatting in the back. Elevator made funny noises like it was going to break down. No fan in the bathroom. Curtains would not close all the way to dim light and for privacy.
pet friendly; great breakfast spread; comfortable bed; friendly staff
A very good value compare to other hotels we have stayed in along I-95. Parts of the hotel such as the doors look like they are 40-50 years old but furniture, bathrooms, and other parts seem to be recently renovated. The whole place was very clean and well maintained.
very stylish decor up to date checkin was a bit of a hassle took awhile at desk then finally got up to everything all set parked the car only to have the key cards not work had to go thru the wait all over again to get the key cards fixed....
Everything. Felt like home away from home No
I consider myself to be an extremely ''picky'' hotel traveler. I want 5-star quality even if it's only in a 3-star hotel and I want it at a reasonable price. Well, I must say that this hotel has certainly lived up to my very high expectations. The facility was CLEAN, the staff was friendly and the furnishings were modern & aesthetically appealing. The full-size refrigerator & other kitchen essentials were great to have on our 3-night, weekend trip. Shopping, dining and entertainment options are within walking distance from the hotel's front door. Perhaps it was because the hotel is only a few weeks old or maybe it has something to do with the reputation of the Marriott name. Only time will tell. . . I definitely recommend this hotel to ANY traveler! ! !
Overall the room was very nice, spacious and comfortable. The front desk staff was very busy when i arrived and they handled the rush with efficiency and a smile. The room (#133) smelled vaguely of cigarette smoke - especially in the bathroom. I could not figure out exactly where it was coming from and it wasn't overwhelming so I didn't mention it when I was there. However, when I got home that night my husband commented that I smelled smoky so it managed to get into my hair/clothes during the 16 hours i was there.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Lobby and room was clean. Breakfast was much more than contenential. Pool was green - even though it was the second week of June. It took three days to get it clean.
Leaving The women who checked us in was beyond rude and expressed deep discuss that we booked outside of the hotel. The biscuits at breakfast tasted like menthol, there was no juice or coffee and the other food was covered in grease. Bathroom was dirty and remenescent of the 80's. Outside is dirty and slippery due to ancient air conditioning systems.
The location is close to the highway and having the breakfast available is nice when traveling The breakfast options weren't that great. The only fruit that was provided was unwashed apples. The room had layers of dust on the counters and had a smell of cheap air freshener. I just stayed at a hotel on the same road 2 weeks before that cost less and was a 3 star much cleaner and more updated
Breakfast was good Room smelled pleasantly, But it was strong enough so all we could think was it must have been a smokers room at some point
Right off 95. Breakfast was decent. Room smelled like a litter box. Bugs. The front desk person hung up on me 6 times when I called to inquire about an obscenely loud guest above me. Steer clear of this mess.
I checked in at 2:30am after traveling all day. When I got to my room I looked for a DND sign and could not find one. I said to myself "hmmm self, since there's no DND sign visible housekeeping must not come until you check out." At 7am the alarm clock went off. At 7:30am the front desk gave me a wake up call. I did not set the alarm or ask for a wake up call. Having driven 18 hours the day before and another 10 ahead of me, and having been TWICE disturbed I called the front desk to request a late check out. That was denied. I drifted back off to sleep only to have housekeeping come by about an hour later. At that point I called the front desk to ask what time check out was officially, why the alarm went off in my room, why I received a wake up call, and why housekeeping was banging on my door. I was told, quite snottily, that I was not the only guest in the hotel and needed to understand that they had a high turnover volume. As a paying guest I do not think my stay should be disturbed due to OTHER guests... I would not recommend anyone stay here, EVER. I expected to get 8 hours of sleep, not to be awakened repeatedly 4 hours after I checked in. I also did not appreciate how incredibly rude "Kitty" at the front desk was. Not once did I receive an apology or an acknowledgement that I had been disturbed. Also, I forgot to mention when I got to the room the heat was on high, even though it was 80* outside AND the cleaning solution housekeeping used permeated the air and literally made me dizzy from fumes. Again, DO NOT STAY HERE.
Secore building. Mold on shower curtain and a faint odor. A good carpet shampoo and new curtain would have made a big difference.
Nice staff and good price for a good enough stay over on the road. Adequate breakfast included. Newish paint. Smelled like perfume masking odors.
Right off I-95 Not in the best area. No phone in room, room clean but not the best, overpriced but expected during race weekend.
Clean & everone was very friendly. cheap, a good place to sleep & swim.
No wireless in the hotel room. But you can get a cable for internet for free. Wireless is available only in the lobby.
The fact that the appliances where clean and the staff was friendly and very helpful. The staff was more than willing to help me with whatever I needed. e.g DIRECTIONS... ;-) And I like the fact that I was able to access the internet so that I was able to stay connected during my travels. The noise that came from the neighbors and the fact that they where grilling above my head. I was a little nervous about going to sleep. Other than that, it was fine. I am thinking that it came about because it was the 4th of July, therefore, I do not think that it will stop me from staying again.
Rooms were clean Had to wait 45 min for to go dinner
Conveniently located near highway for travellers. Good value for the money. The strong detergent smell in the room that cannot go away eventhough I left the door open for several hours.
The bed was a horizontal surface. I checked in at 11:30 pm and just wanted to sleep. I had chosen this hotel because it was cheap and I just wanted to sleep! When I opened the door, I couldn't believe the smell! I was tired and just wanted to sleep so I didn't complain to staff. I should have. I woke up several times during the night and the smell kept me awake. I wad thinking all night ... "I'd gladly pay $20-30 more for a room I could actually sleep in!" The bar closed about 1 am and there was a lot of noise in the parking lot. Later I heard some guys come to the room next door, confirm the room number and called out someone's name. I think it might have been the police arresting someone. When I complained to the manager about the urine smell in the room, he said, "Oh, they sprayed for bugs a few days ago. That must be it. " No apology. No remedy. Sad. Suggest you pay more for a decent nights sleep elsewhere!
The room was VERY clean and set up beautifully. The dining room was fine and the menu covered everything and reasonable. I have a problem with a hard bed - the one I had was good for anyone who could handle it. I didn't ask them if they had any softer mattresses.
room was spacy , very clean , refrigerator , coffe m/c and microwave , free internet free parking were very convenient ...great value for the money none
Cheap. Friendly front desk staff. Comfortable enough to just sleep for the evening if you're passing through. A lot of weekly rental customers. They have a bar on site that doesn't attract the best of clientel. a lot of people wandering around outside before and after bar closed.
price versus quality. It didn't have the most amenities but the room was clean, had no foul odor, beds were comfortable, convenient to interstate, staff friendly/accomodating, and price was below others in the area with good reviews. The cost of having my dog in the room was less than all other hotels too. The best aspect - my daughter left some stuffed toys behind. The staff was kind when I called and located the toys, they held them for me so I could pick them up on my way back through the area after my vacation...and they did just that!
The room was very clean and the staff was helpful when we encountered a problem. The manager even came to check out the problem. There were some maintenance problems, not unexpected for an older facility. The non-smoking room was not really smoke-free, and our clothing picked up the odor.
