Overall good experience, staff is attentive, food in hotel is pretty good Interior is getting a bit dated and quite dark. They need more mosquito repellant incense in the area!
Wonderfully attentive staff, who were genuinely friendly without being intrusive, large spacious suites, beautiful grounds, not over-developed, and amazing breakfasts. None whatsoever
The staff were outstanding: in 35 years of travel I have never come across such helpfulness , politeness in the face of problems - we were there during the volcanic ash crisis of April 2010 and needed to communicate with family, insurance company, airline and friends and the staff were just brilliant. When my credit card failed to validate on arrival I was of course beside myself with worry but they were not at all bothered - it was probably the atmospherics, they said, and would soon be OK when the weather got back in balance. Internationa lHerald Tribune each morning; clean sheets and duvet cover and pillow cases each day. When we departed for the airport little did we know that on our arrival there there was a member of the hotel staff Nothing
The atmosphere of the hotel was luxury and relaxing. Some of parts in the room were bit old,it should be refurbished.
The Legian is simply a dream. All is fantastic, the location, the rooms, the service, the food. It is a top top top experience.
My husband and I enjoyed every aspect of this beautiful hotel. The ambience, the friendliness of all the staff and the attention to detail was appreciated. The location is great too, close to shops and good restaurants.
Staff were unfailingly polite and knowledgeable. Hotel was maintainted and cleaned to a high standard. The spa and gym were first class. The dining menu has to be improved. No bar in the hotel (they only have the beach bar).
The spacious and private rooms, the complimentary upgrade of the room, and the very good service nothing
I loved the rooms in particular, large and comfortable. The services were excellent, smiling people and ready to attend to any needs. We travel and stay in hotels often. I would rate The Legian the best hotel we ever saw.
Nice pool and breakfast Very big hotel, rooms need refurbishment, when you book ask for the new ones.
The staff were all fantastic, especially Pandi who worked at the pool/activities desk. The free scuba diving lesson available at the pool were a lot of fun. No
Pool area was nice and tropical. Lobby area had nice gift shops. Breakfast buffet was good. Room was worn and outdated. Twin beds were better suited for a dormitory. Called to have refrigerator unlocked and no one ever came for the two days we were there.
The upgraded room was excellent - access to the Club Room was a terrific feature. Excellent gym. The pool was a good configuration although they had to clean off the green bacteria almost every day [perhaps chlorine levels were a little low?]. Some of the reviews I read about the hotel were either wildly positive or the complete opposite. we were a little concerned about our stay prior to arriving as a result of these reviews. However, the hotel was well set out and we had a terrific stay. The service time from ordering to receiving a meal in the cafe was quite slow - but it is Bali!
Foods is very good.Nice ambient.Personal services it's ok.Long distance to the beach. Don't use taxi service from the hotel
Great atmosphere, very competent and friendly staff, good food. Location away from beach compensated by free shuttle bus. Internet speed next to nothing and very high priced
The staff is very friendly, they really made us feel at home. Excellent breakfast buffet, fast and proper laundry service. Good restaurants, Sanur Harum and Komodo. Enjoyed the live musicians. Free transfer to Sanur center and private beach of the hotel. Free internet connection via cable (UTP; RJ45) in Pool Side View room. Good wireless reception in whole hotel area. Tourism desk. Good security. We recommend the Pool Side View room, the easy access to the swimming pool is very nice. Excellent adjustable airconditioning. No free internet in Superior Rooms. The bathroom is fine and clean, but can use some renewal.
Calm and not noisy Wifi was not free
Great staff! Fine on information and efficiency. Friendly and knowledgable. Good internet connection (free). The hotel is a bit 'jaded', 'tired', 'old'. The rooms need renovation, especially the bathroom, with many fixtures not quite in working order.
roomservise is very quick and good. the staff in loungebar very nice but didnt see when our glass was empty and when we order take a long time when we get the drink.
The room that was booked had no view to the outside, it had a view looking into the center of the hotel. Very depressing. Not a place I would ever stay again
Rooftop was nice, it is just next to the beach, central. The toilet has a smell in the room i think because of the pipes, we always stayed close the toilet door, a part of the hotel is still is underconstruction, so it is usual to find yourself in a weird place. stuff smiles always, but for a high standart hotel it is not fair that they try to charge customers as soon as possible as they arrive to the hotel, it should be at the end of the stay, i had a problem with the agency, and the stuff tried to charge me 3times to ensure their payment, the high quality hotels dont care about money, they care about customers. But the stuff just wanted payment as soon as possible in this hotel.
Near the airport , local shops and restaurants and a good place to relax. None
Cleanliness of the hotel.Very helpful staff team. The location.
swimming pool and the spa very good better than outside spa,the spa price also not expensive... location poor.....nothing can shop after nite life......
Hotel is very close to the airport for an arrival/ departure night and offers simple, clean, 'good value' accommodation and facilities.
Comofortable destinantion close to the airport for next connection, not so far form shopping mall, service level was pretty good.
Good for surfers not good for families beach club is a joke they have 6 sunbeds!!' Really noisy no soundproofing
Clean, lovely breakfast area and buffet, pool recliners always available, no towels left on chairs for hours so no-one else could use like at some hotels. not met at entrance when first arrived.
Location is very central, close to the beach,2 min with Vespa and 5 min walking distance.Shopping, restaurants, and night out places are all nearby as well.Very friendly staff, nice modern decoration, large hotel(was impressed, thought it was smaller).Breakfast is also complete, very international.Nice swimming pools, relaxing. We had to stay 3 days in a Suite before we moved into a standard room and there we had just one problem:the bathroom.Suite was large, nice, quiet, but the bathroom had poor light and the bath tub was clogged(we asked to be fixed, but apparently it didnt help whatever they did). The Standard room was better.Had a large shower and the light was good.
location and atmoshpere No king size bed avaialble although already put my preference.
The hotel was very clean and well maintained We booked a king bed and on check in were told they didnt have any - no room for compromise
The hotel staff were courteous. The breakfast - very oily food and not much choice. A lot of flies and coffee hosue is just in front of main road so very noisy.
All staffs are GST! Greet, smile and thank you! Best resort in Bali. We booked our stay via kayak and when check in, was told by receptionist that breakfast is not included in my package which have been confirmed by agent kayak. I showed them that my booking is inclusive of breakfast, I then emailed to kayak but no response from them till date. Rimba is really nice, after check in, receptionist called and said that the resort will extend breakfast to us for the our stay in Rimba. The staffs at Rimba ensure that whatever request you have will be fulfilled at their best possible. Not that I can think of..
The hotel is absolutely stunning, with modern, tasteful and luxurious finishes. It is connected by frequent tram to its sister resort (Ayana) and to a private beach. It's a little out of the way from Jimbaran itself, and requires an inexpensive taxi ride to and from town. Food at the resort is good but expensive. The spa is astronomically expensive by Bali standards, although it is in line with Western high end resorts. The Rock Bar at the Ayana (for which Rimba guests get priority access) is a lifelong memory (although VERY expensive). The staff are extremely friendly and willing to help. The beach is beautiful. Location is quite convenient to the airport. In the early morning, it was only about a 10-15 ride. Honestly think it was our one-time bad luck, as opposed to a constant problem, but the air conditioning in our room could not be adjusted, even after we called for technicians to come and "fix" it. The temperature in our room hovered between hockey arena and cold-freezer. Made for poor sleep in an otherwise very comfortable room. Also, despite all the attention, the hotel managed to forget about giving us a promised wake up call. Fortunately, I set my own alarm just in case. But if I hadn't, we would have missed our early morning flight. The beach is very beautiful, but it's not for swimming. There are lots of big waves and big rocks, and the red flag is probably out 99% of the time. All in all, despite the shortcomings, I still believe this to be an outstanding hotel. Well worth the money (and priced much cheaper than many hotels that are likely comparable in quality).
Spacious room and meticulously manicured property
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Intercontinental Bali for my honeymoon. We had a club room and it was worth the extra expense. The service for club guests is taken to another level with the private pool, free non-alcoholic beverages all day, evening cocktails and a number of complimentary meals throughout the day. The quality of the breakfast, afternoon tea and canapes was a bit of a let down given the high standards of everything else at the resort.
