I've heard a lot of positive review about Westin Nusa Dua, and now I know why. From the time you walked in, the staff will make you feel that you are the special guest. They were warm and hospitable. The idea of making the kids also a special guest made this hotel my prime destination for family vacation. The hotel it self was superb: the grand lobby, main pool, the beach, kids pool, kids club, sun loungers and cocoon everywhere, sport facilities etc. The room was good. It has a modern and destinctive design, although the balcony was too small. The buffet breakfast was great. Lots of varied food. The were two downsides I would say for this hotel ie.the depth of the pool. I mean, who wants the pool with more than two meters deep for leisure purpose? The other one was the kids activity program at the kids club. They set different activity in the different day. We were there on Saturday, but my son couldn't get the rock climbing and fishing activity because they were on the other day. Saw...
Good hotel. Royal Beach club is a good offer, but subject to ''hard sell'' from reception desk. Rooms are OK, not that big. Note: no Kingsize bed room with bath (shower only!).Excellent service. Food is good.
Neat, tidy, quiet beach area. Management did not understand that it's not acceptable to have a maintenance worker in a guest room for several hours. We had to beg and plead to be moved to another room where we could enjoy some privacy.
The best aspects of this stay was the location of the resort, the facilities were great although aging. This is certainly not a complaint although I believe the resort is aging, the room felt dusty and aged. and the sofa lounge certainly had a distinct musky smell which wasn't pleasurable to sit on.
The gardens, grounds and architecture were stunning and spectacular. The buffet dinner by the beach was very low quality despite being quite pricey. The service was also substandard and insincere; we were left to find the room ourselves after check in, there was no offer to make dinner reservations or to introduce the hotel's facilities, the beach activity desk was unoccupied and when we found the responsible person walking around, we got a sales pitch), we received our $16.50 mojito's minus the rum (they got replaced but without a sincere apology). Overall it seems the success of the hotel is based on the amazing architecture and setting, certainly not it's soft touches. It was not holiday ruining stuff, as we had a good time, but we did leave disappointed.

Grounds were downright gorgeous, place looks like a Balinese temple and gardens. Beach was great too. Buffet breakfast is outstanding. Staff very helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. A repairman showed up to fix a broken drain within 15 minutes of us reporting it. Glad we came, and we would certainly stay there again. Recommended. Restaurants are overpriced; we took the free shuttle to Bali Collection to eat at the many restaurants there. Rooms are nice but showing some wear; need an update. Cable TV had poor reception, but since we don't watch much we didn't mention it to the staff until we left... they may well have been able to fix it if we had told them earlier. To us these are minor problems; overall, the place rocks.

It was a great value for money, location and hotel are just fantastic and facilities, services and hotel staff deserve all compliments. Only one little thing - air condition at our room was too strong, impossible to regulate the temperature, so it was too cold during the night.
swimming pool and hotel area very nice. Kids liked the playground. Staff at playground very friendly. Beach is clean. My son needed doctor, they had (good) doctor in hotel. We appreciated that. Actually the food was very poor. Not worth 4 or 5 star. Old bread at breakfast. Bread at diner even had cockroaches! Selection at diner (buffet): very limited choice and very basic quality. The quality of the food will be the reason I will not come back to this hotel, since in Nusa Dua we have had much better hotel and much better quality of food.
1. very good and large territory - beautiful lake 2. excellent breakfast 1. to renovate rooms (garden view): paint walls and ceiling, change carpet, change old TV and solve problem with TV-cable (for example, room #2207) 2. announce to guests about fumigation and make it in less populate time (i think 10-11 am is more suitable than 6 pm) - to make a chance for guests to leave the hotel at this time 3. not to get 3 (!) amounts of your bill from credit card
The resort had a very good, welcoming feel to it. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. The location, next to the beach is very good. The resort itself is very nicely build and maintained impeccably. The toilet/bathroom was very cramped. We had a shower and a bath tub but the shower was placed very oddly. The shower head was very low and i feel the tub was not needed. Should replace the tub with a nice shower cubicle.
First class all the way. Fantastic architecture, landscaping and setting. The room and balcony were large and well decorated. The staff were friendly and helpful. I loved the beach, with the beach chairs on the grass and not in the sand. The beach seems to get a lot of trash washed in from the sea but the staff worked very hard to clean it up.
kind staff, luxury room & pool Never
The open design. Light and airy. Good sized rooms with a good sized balcony. loved the pool area and the live music in the evenings. breakfast was sumptuous and delicious. all staff encountered were friendly, courteous and helpful. The beach access. poor location with rocks in water. pity as everything else was excellent, including the shuttle service to and from the beach.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The pool is massive, allowing you to find a 'private' spot to cool off without the crowds. The Nusa Dua Hotel complex could be anywhere in the world. It is not a Balinese experience. The public areas are not air conditioned so the restaurant, the lobby, the bars are unpleasantly hot during the day.
My son was married at the hotel and I was most impressed with the service of the staff, their politeness and the facilities. I was most impressed with the young woman that checked me in for breakfast most mornings. As with all the staff she was polite and cheerfull. the remoteness from the action spots like kuta and legion but this could also be a good thing. Maybe a shuttle service to these places would be a good thing
It's a beautiful place! Great views and great swimming pools. Very romantic! 1. The seawater along the beach is actually quite dirty. After a few minutes in the sea, I couldn't stand it anymore and had to go back to the swimming pools which were very clean and comfortable, but hey we are at the beach and isn't it shame that you can't swim in it? 2. The internet service is not good. You need to pay a lot to have internet in your room. You can have wi-fi in the lobby area but it's really really slow and they cut it off at around 9pm, so not convenient at all. 3. The slippers are too fragile. My husband's and my slippers were both broken during the first day.

Great place for vacation with breath taking views, ocean, etc.. Food & drinks are very expensive in the hotel. Only one restaurant open during the day. NO other activities (like shows for kids, evening music, etc..) in the hotel other than swimming pool.
The pool and the thematic dinners The ladies at the front desk (reception) were not very helpful and had trouble understanding english. They didn't seem very aware of their duties and responsabilities. On the other hand, during check out, the staff was very high standard
Non-working room phone, ants in room, cockroaches in breakfast buffet area, no alcohol in in-room mini bar, leaky bathroom faucet, ineffective A/C, lack of organization and coordination amongst staff and departments, management attempts to backtrack on promises. Three star hotel at very best.
excellent, has good location on cliff
It was the perfect exclusive abode to continue our honeymoon experience. We honestly had a wonderful stay. The only thing we could fault is the limited breakfast but that was very minor in the scheme of things.
Brilliant location, right on the beach. Food was good and relatively inexpensive in comparison to the room rates.

Det var et flott hotell med svært vennlige og oppmerksom personale . Vi ble kjempe godt mottatt og fikk flott service hele tiden. Beliggenhet var utmerket med en liten spasertur til strand som var ren og ryddig, med utmerket service fra betjening på strandklubben. Vi var svært fornøyd med sikerheten ved hotellet. Liten vilje til å velge Blue Bird taxi, ville heller selge transporttjenester fra hotellet som er dobbelt så dyrt. Sitte stoler på terasse var svært dårlig og ikke gode å sitte i . Det var heller ikke gode sitteplasser inne i stue. Vi hadde dessverre vondt i ryggen nå vi reiste.
none, the staff was rude. They didnot honer my reservation. I was given what was there which was very low class very dirty. The towles were black from so many uses. incsects were every where. I had to put my shose on top shelve to make sure nothing gets in it. I had to leave
The rooms were very spacious and very comfortable beds.My Spa treatment was very good and very reasonable. The a la carte restuarant was very disappointing. We did not return after the first meal there. The hot water was only tepid all of the time. We noticed maintenance works going on but parts of the hotel did appear to be tired looking.
The staff were very friendly and the whole experience was relaxing and a great pamper! Some of the guests should learn how to be civil to the staff. The French were particularaly rude.
I stay alone in a seaview room, but in reality many palm leaves hide the sea. It is a spacious room with LCD TV and a good shower plus whirpool. This is quite expensive rate for such kind of room
The location, the beach, the room, the environment... No jacuzzi in the suite.

We thought it was a great location, the prices for drinks & dinners were too expensive compared to outside restaurants. Happy hour was not what was expected, not really discounted, our shower was not cleaned the whole time we were there, which was dissapointing. Activities were not advertised clearly within the hotel to express your options as to what was available to you.
Aston Bali is a reasonable hotel on a now rather overpriced island. The standards of accommodation have really gone up over the last 10 years, but then, so has the price. Keep your expectations low and you will be content. The pool is quite large and seems to be clean. There always seemed to be a sufficient number of deckchairs available. Breakfast was quite good albeit monotonous after a few days. There is a gym but we did not use it. The rooms are quite large and all seem to have balconies. Air conditioning worked well and the televisions are decent sized LCD. Rooms came with mosquito repellent bats but we did not find these particularly effective as we were still eaten to death on two occasions. Wear bug spray to bed! Aston has a dubious process for processing credit card statements. Upon arrival we were asked to write our credit card details on a piece of paper. A scan of the card was also taken. Unfortunately, Aston seem to have some less than trustworthy staff as by the end of our stay, our credit card had been canceled by the bank due to the appearance of $900 in online gambling charges. The card had not been used except for this hotel booking so it is safe to say the details were taken from the hotel and used fraudulently. Recording the card insecurely is unprofessional and the hotel should improve this process. Losing a card while traveling can completely ruin a perfectly good holiday! Additionally, bathrooms could be kept cleaner.
Dogs on the beach :) The hotel was nic but a little bit old. The bars and restaurants were closed before the set time. The staff was not alweys polite.
Right on the beach. Beautiful view from the rooftop. Comfortable beds. Staff was helpful, and friendly. Very noisy. Can hear your neighbors, and the streets below. Woke up to someone knocking on our door at 3 AM. Anyone has access to the rooftop so it was crowded with people not staying at the hotel.
Location is superb, just in front of Kuta beach The water smells awful! The manager told us it was because the contractor didn't install the right pipes for the plumbing!! The staff forgot to replenish the soap for our barhroom!!
Flott hotell, fint rom og bra bassengområde.
Vi fikk en suite etter 2 dager. Denne var bra men altfor dårlig aircondition. Kun rommene har aircon. Selv om hotellet har en åpen disign var det altfor dårlig gjennomtrekk, nesten umulig å puste. På nyttårsaften måtte vi gå på rommene for å kjøle oss ned. Klaget til direktøren uten respons Innstallere aircon i hele hotellet.
