Fordeler: We really enjoyed our stay in Palacio das Especiarias! Friendly staff, clean beautiful room, great breakfast, stunning building, nice vibe and perfect location! Would definitely come back!

Ulemper: A bit loud in the morning, since we had a room under the breakfast area, we could hear people walking arround much.

Fordeler: Testy homemade cakes available for the guests + juice throughout the day (all for free) that was a surprise and a very nice touch/gesture, never seen before in any hotel. The staff was helpful and made us feel welcome. The hotel quite old and special, quirky. Location amazing, perfect really.

Ulemper: Nothing I disliked

Fordeler: Vakker pianomusikk til frokost får du ikke hvor som helst, det var et stort pluss. Ellers var dette en spesiell gammel bygning med mye historie i veggene. Hyggelig restaurant ved resepsjonen.

Ulemper: Stedet var godt markedsført, derfor hadde vi store forventninger som ikke ble helt innfridd. Frokosten var kaotisk, det krydde av mennesker og personalet virret rundt. Selv et drikkeglass var vanskelig å oppdrive. I "resepsjonen" krydde det alltid av mennesker som ventet på et eller annet - taxi, innsjekk..... Vi manglet håndklær på rommet og kontaktet resepsjonen. Det endte med at vi selv måtte hente håndklær. Vi har vært i Lisboa mange ganger og ville prøve hotell i et annet område i byen, noe vi angret litt på. Utrolig mye bråk om nettene og ikke de koseligste omgivelsene.

Ulemper: Our room very disappointing. In lower floor, very small, no light and strange smell. We advised that we drink decaf tea and coffee- not available

Fordeler: Den historiske atmosfæren. Personalet. Beliggenheten. Utsikten fra balkongen. Kakene.

Ulemper: Det luktet ufriskt på badet.

Fordeler: Massevis av sjarm og små overraskelser i detaljene. Rask endring og tilpasning til meny for vegetarianer. Flott beliggenhet midt i sentrum. Gode madrasser og veldig god kaffe.

Ulemper: Treg resepsjon og en del støy fra gata nattestid.

Fordeler: Fantastisk historisk sted. Følte at vi gikk i Vasco Da Gama´s fotspor. Meget flott service fra alle ansatte. Deilig morgenmat.

Fordeler: «Husets» atmosfære var god og personalet svært hjelpsomme. Spesielt og litt eksentrisk , men god frokost og stadig noe nytt å oppdage i hotellets forskjellige rom .

Fordeler: Exceptional service, extremely helpful staff, great breakfast included in price, fantastic location and they have a roman bath that you can use for free!

Ulemper: ---

Fordeler: Wow! What a delightful place to stay. The staff were all very pleasant and keen to help or fix any issue. Breakfast was excellent, and the juices and cakes were available to guests all day - fantastic to come back to after a day of exploring. We enjoyed the dinner with fado entertainment. Very special.

Fordeler: Location awesome, My room was not as good as I expected The service was not good

Ulemper: The service

Ulemper: Sent several mails but never received an invoice including breakfast and cleaning charge, result: trouble with my company.

Fordeler: The room had its own bathroom. Tgd room was clean and comfortable. There was a blow dryer. There was an elevator. Dora, at reception was very helpful.

Ulemper: The suites were not well marked from the street, especially at night and the number marking was confusing as there was an 89 and an 89A. I found locating it at night on my own very stressful. I took a taxi and would not have felt safe arriving on my own to check in.

Fordeler: The area is safe There is hot water There is room steward service daily. Automatic window shades

Ulemper: I had the feeling that the owners only care about money. Overpriced. We stayed there for 4 nights. No one asked how was our stay. Only they asked for money (city taxes) You need to climb a 100-150m hill (40% incline) to get there. Well, most of the city is like this. On the top floor of the building there are many apartments and all very small, even we were in the biggest room, still. The lighting is depressing and the bed sheets and linen need to be cleaner. There are multiple code locks to get into the building, into the floor and into your room, and up to the terrace which has no views are nothing there. This place needs maintenance.

Fordeler: Bra beliggenhet med 3-4 min gange til avenyen og metro. En liten matbutikk og kafé rett over gata. Betjeningen var veldig hyggelig og renholdet var topp. Gode madrasser. Vi brukte den fine takterrassen mye. Vi landet sent, og da var det fint å få tilsendt koder som gjorde at vi kunne komme etter betjent tid. Takk til personalet som lot oss låne håndklær og bruke takterrassen etter utsjekk.

Ulemper: Harde puter.

Fordeler: Location was excellent. Helpful and friendly staff.

Ulemper: Steps in the hallway and very small elavator (not suitable for a wheelchair - luckily I can still get up and do a few steps, but perhaps this could be indicated better ...)

Fordeler: Free upgrade!

Ulemper: The bed was really small, we are both 1.90m and could bearly fit.

Fordeler: New renovated room all accessories first class. Located at the top floor of an old building

Ulemper: The WIFI did not work in the room. Staff not helpful a little walk from the center and from transportation

Ulemper: We were not given with the code to open the building nor the room door, they did not answer the phone. We spent at least one hour to finally be able to get the room. It was around 10 pm, coming back from a long trip, we were very tired and were not able to get the room. The shower door does not close causing the bathroom to flood making it slippery.

Fordeler: Close to all amenities

Ulemper: Up a steep hill,area under development

Fordeler: The room was nice and had a pretty view and balcony.

Ulemper: The wifi didn’t reach the room

Fordeler: The host and all the staff were beyond kind and helpful. Always with a smile!!! The historic centre is in a walking distance and many useful busstops nearby.

Fordeler: Near everything good location safe walking distance of everything very friendly and helpful

Fordeler: Great value for money and perfect location for where I wanted to be.

Ulemper: Lights in the corridor, kitchen area having a kettle and some cutlery. Just putting some soap in the bathrooms for hand washing would be a massive improvement. Think of it more as a hostel. That said It was great value in a city that is getting more expensive by the week.

Fordeler: I like this place. The area is perfekt for me.

Ulemper: There is trouble getting in when you arrive. The front door is locked, no one hears the bell and no one answers the phone. I have lived here before many years ago and it was the same then. Even though I wrote and told about the time I would arrive. As soon as Im in...i like the place, but the panic when they don't answer the door is not fun.

Fordeler: Great location, super cheap.

Ulemper: Fair value for money. Could be a bit cleaner though :)

Fordeler: Broken wardrobe. Bathroom full of mug. Water temperature didn't Work well.

Fordeler: Sentralt, billig,men er ikke viktig hvis man blir spist i senga si om natta! Vi måtte flytte ut i midten av natta på grunn av det!

Ulemper: Ikke rent i det heletatt! BUGS inni seng. UAKSEPTABELT

Fordeler: The location was great and it did what t said in the tin.

Ulemper: The lock broke the first day and it took three days to fix. They didn’t hire a real locksmith just a guy who was evidently drunk so we had to keep coming back to the hotel to check on our stuff/get new keys. The lady charged us twice for city tax but we didn’t go back and change it because doing anything took far too long and we wanted to just get out of the hotel and enjoy our holiday.
