Location Pool was cold little pricey
The staff was very friendly. No exception there. Found out the shower didn't switch well between a shower and bath tub. The toilet bowel had a crack that split 3 ways and was ready to leak water everywhere.
I loved the one lady, I think her name is Katy! She was so friendly and hospitable. She always worked hard and had a smile on her face. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest...let's just leave it there.
one of the best complimentary breakfasts I have ever seen tv didn't work needed tech to fix it should have worked
Enjoyed my stay there, the staff was pretty nice. They handled any questions or problems we had. Nothing
Not a lot. The staff seemed like zombies. Furniture was beat up and old. Visible stains from God knows what on bedding and carpet. Housekeeping came knocking around 8am which seemed early and annoying for an extended stay. Thin walls, could here everything. Fire alarm was set off twice in one night which made for a sleepless night and was called a malfunction. I've paid more money at a shittier place and at least was able to sleep.
price Older hotel not in the best district
Pool, bed Door stuck...had to kick it to get in room...shower head leaked when you turned on spigot. Very old looking and feeling.
Staff very accommodating and friendly. No elevator to second floor. We arrived late at night with 2 children under two and a lot of luggage. Had to ask for different room on ground floor. Biscuits at breakfast were extremely hard. Did not have automatic door openers and difficult to get thru doors with a baby and luggage.
Cleanliness of the hotel. Good design and decoration of the hotel. Private and secure multistory parking. Availabiluty of PCs, internet, and printers free of charge. No
The location and parking was easy to get to and from. The staff was polite. The hotel was clean. The bed was terrible. It was rock hard and worn out. We have sore backs now and probably will for a few days. The only other complaint was the loud bathroom, we're not sure if it was the room next door's heating/cooling but it was loud and had to be shut during the night.
Quick stay and very friendly
Staff was great. Rooms were very clean and nice. It was a really nice stay.
The clean room and front lobby. The bed was as hard as a rock. The staff never gave us a parking voucher so when we left we had to pay 10$.
Fitness room was clean and the equipment was well kept. The air conditioner was a little noise and the room climate was hard to control.
The room was a lot of fun! We didn't know what we were getting going in, which made stepping into the Egyptian Palace room all the better. The hot tub and bed were extremely comfortable. Room was clean and well put together, and the staff were very accomodating. The bathtub had a persistent drip and, due to full bookings, we were not able to move to another room. However, we received a complimentary breakfast and the staff made sure that the water was relatively unobtrusive.
Nice room, clean hotel, friendly staff!
The room was spacious. Comfortable bed with nice lighting all around. Nicely decorated. Very quiet. I think they must use a carpet freshener, because it really smelled nice, even the hallways. Hot breakfast was a very nice treat. Toilet bowl had toothpick in it, so I was leary of how clean it really was. Sink had black residue around the silver drain disk. That shouldn't be there. Could be cleaned with a Q tip. Front desk clerk could have been more welcoming.
This Days Inn is offered a really good room - comfortable beds, great lighting, quiet cooling, frig + microwave. The staff is friendly and responsive to needs (our room lacked enough towels -- which were quickly supplied). The breakfast was adequate, but suggest adding an easy protein source -- boiled eggs, for example -- and a slightly wider number of options in the "breads" category. Otherwise the options for cereal, yogurt, fruit, biscuits, juice and coffee is fine.
The waterpark was great. Friendly people working there. I would recommend the water park, but not the hotel. But, you have to stay at the hotel to use the water park. I would tell them to clean the place up. Too dirty for how expensive it is to stay there Room was NOT clean. Urine all over the toilet, broken lampshade, wet and used hand towels, slow draining sink, shower faucet dripped, bathroom floor not swept, dusty ledge. Too expensive of a place to be that dirty.

close to legend, alot of restaurants, nebrasska furniture, cabellos sporting shop & kansas speedway alot to do close to hotel not really hotels falt but on new years not any good taxi cab service
It was close to our intended shopping places. Easily accesible. The rooms were not very noise proof. We could hear all the noise from other rooms, like them opening and shutting doors, running water, walking across the floor.
I like how nice the hotel looked and it had a fridge and ice maker. The television did not work, you had sound but no picture. The hotel staff was not that friendly and the price we had for the hotel on here was 81 and we were charged 103 and it was never fixed. I will never stay there again.
the room was spacious and well equipped, I especially liked the bathroom area, shower and counters. The breakfast was very good and always stocked well, we stayed two days and ate at different times, but it always seemed to been well stocked and fresh. the lady at the desk was very helpful and helped us with the computer on some issues. we could not get our room key to work most of the time, even had housekeeping try. The ac unit was awfully loud, but seemed to wrk good.
Location of hotel . close to food and shopping. We parked the car and walked to everything we wanted to go to. There was shopping for men not just the women. A good variety of food choices near by. Target and same within driving distance.
Staff was very friendly and willing to work with us, even though we had small children and it was a business hotel.
We felt very welcome and had a wonderful, peaceful night. Enjoyed our visit.
The staff was very friendly one of the best staffs and i stay at alot of hotels
This hotel is in a good location to the Legends shopping area on the west side of KC. It's clean and pretty basic. Good value for the money.
it's really clean, the staff was nice and the breakfast was really good.
WE stayed here after going to a concert at Verizon and it was perfect, be sure and mapquest the directions to Verizon and check avoid highways, you can get right in to the parking the 'back way'. The place was much nicer than many hotels I have stayed at that cost $40 more a night. Very clean room, I am a smoker, but I like that they don't allow smoking in the building as it keeps everything smelling so much nicer. I don't mind going outside to smoke to keep things nice.
Stayed 1 night. Rooms were clean and the staff was nice and helpful. Breadfast area was clean. Close to shopping Mall and Speedway.
This hotel is brand new. We stayed during the Nascar race weekend. Very nice, the staff was excellent, very friendly. This is non smoking but that worked out well, we just went outside. Would like to be able to book the room for next year instead of having to wait to see if the teams sign up again.
We booked this last minute so we were worried about location since we wanted to be by legends. It was not far away, taxis were not that expensive, and the bed as well as the couch were so comfortable. Oh and it was super clean, except the entire time we were there the elevator was full of crumbs, but the room was perfectly clean
I'll stay here again. Clean hotel. Looked new. Quiet. Nice staff.
The room was filled with smoke stench and they refused to change our room. We didn't smoke. They were rude. Would never stay there again. Good for smokers who don't ask for anything.
We wanted to beat the winter blues and took our grandkids to stay and swim. The pool was wonderful, the rooms were clean, and the staff was friendly and accomodating. The only slight problem we had was the room key, but the staff was helpful.

it was close to our destination and it had a seven eleven right below it
The hot breakfast was a wonderful start to the day. The amenities were well maintained, as well as the whole facility. N/A
Awesome location, right next to KU. The rooms were very modern and stocked with all of the essentials. Continental breakfast was one of the best I've had. They also had a weight bench with legit dumbbells (no pink 5 pounders) in the exercise room. There was construction going on somewhere near the hotel which was pretty disruptive.
The staff was extremely polite when I approached the desk. She gave me all the specifics about where I could park and made sure I knew about the complimentary breakfast and times of operations.
Excellent bed and very clean with nice decor. Easy to find just off I-35 and very handy to KU Med Ctr, Excellent breakfast & staff Shower spray head way to high to reach unless your 6'5' and spray adjuster broke or stuck. Nearly impossible to use and not get head wet, which I had to keep dry due head bandages from post surgery. No vent noted in bathroom to remove odors and steam

Friendly staff, clean room, nice location I liked everything
Hotel Employee in the breakfast area was awesome! Great food and welcoming hospitality. She is a super star!!! No cups or coffee for the in room coffee maker. The bathroom sink was stopped up but the staff promptly got it fixed.
Very nice new hotel, conveniently located (across the street from KU Med Ctr). Clean spacious room. Clean, nicely functioning bathroom. Nice, complementary, hot breakfast. Free coffee in room. Fridge & microwave in room. Free WiFi. Good value for money. Would definitely stay again should need arise.
It was close to Village West, and the entry was beautifully decorated for Christmas! Also, the clerk was so kind, and I was placed on the ground floor thankfully because I would have had trouble carrying my luggage up the stairs. Great to have WiFi. There was a spider on the bathroom floor. The refrigerator froze my Coke. :-( Waaaa. :-)
The location Yes bed frame was broken and slanted, the stairwell had trash in it even a rotten banana. I booked a nonsmoking room and got a room with ashtray and smell of smoke on the third floor I was told it was the only one left too much more to list terrible.
The location was good, was close to our venue. The room was dirty the bath room had a leak so the floor was wet, the hotel and room looked worn down and out of date. Will never stay there again!
Horrible Experience! Air conditioner did not work in the room. Microwave dirty news told we could check in at 2pm but had to wait until after 4 to get a room.
The location and front desk was nice. When we got to our room the bed was nasty dirty and the maintance man just wanted to change the fitted sheet instead of the hole bed. I told him to change the hole bed and he was put out, not good for you're hotel. One bad review = 20 people hearing about
Every thing No
Front desk girl was polite Manager of the hotel threated my kids who she incorrectly thought were not guests of the hotel. They were at the pool without wrist bands. Front desk never mention them needing them nor did the pool regs in the hotel guide. Threated to call the cops
The location, it was a short drive away from where we spent our honeymoon First, we got a NON-smoking room, but as soon as we walked in we could smell smoke, there was a cockroach on the floor, no plugins, and the TV shorted out so we were stuck in the dark. I should've paid an extra $20 and stayed at the comfort inn.
Not enough supplies for breakfast
I could use iron to dry my washed clothing. I could not connect to the wireless internet because the internet was limited or not available.
good staf,good location,
Oh my goodness! From the moment we stepped out of the car and walked through the beautiful secluded garden patio, to the moment we stepped in the door and were greeted and invited to enjoy free margaritas - the staff did everything to ensure our stay was wonderful. Upgraded room for free- plus we returned from dinner to find a bottle of champagne chilling with a note from the staff wishing us a Happy Anniversary. Wonderful breakfast- close walking distance to the Art Museum and The Plaza. We will be coming back here again!
Staff Shabby, shower leaked all over
The location is fantastic. Close proximity to restaurants and Bars. The new tram is close by and connects you to Union Station. Is a historic hotel with a well preserve interior and exterior lobbies. There is construction everywhere at the hotel. They start at 8am drilling loudly all over the place. if you expect to sleep in, you will be out of luck.
The location was nice, in the middle of downtown. Hotel Phillips was rated as a four star hotel, so our expectations were high. Instead our room was not vacuumed, the carpeting was clearly damaged, and the wall paper was literally peeling from the walls. It was worse than the 2/3 hotels we've stayed in.
Staff were very accommodating!! Great Art Deco vibe! Close to many amenities! No
This hotel is beautiful and well located. Very comfortable bed and nice bathroom products. Wish the room had fridge and microwave and room service was open later. Would also be nice if there were a pool.
The hotel location was exactly where we needed The hotel is under construction which is understandable if managed properly. This was not. The water was turned off all day before we checked in and was being turned off again the next day so we couldnt even shower. We were woken up at 7:30 am by noise.
Nothing Shower,no refrigerator. Construction mess. Beds and pillows.
The location was kind of centralized so it was close to just about everything we wanted to do, and the room itself was pretty awesome...:)
The hotel was close to the venue we were attending. The construction in the front of the hotel and lack of parking.
The price was great for the location we needed Hotel construction going on
Location and style No
I loved the history wrapped up in this hotel! What a great location! Cheap parking, great staff, and even though there is currently a huge renovation project going on, it was as clean as it could be and very quiet in our room.
Has the potential to be charming - was under construction. Had a lighted mirror in the bathroom - don't find those very often. No restaurant & no room service. Wallpaper is starting to peel from the wall in the bathroom. Microwave on top of the desk - took up much of the available space.
Front desk gave us all vouchers for free cover to get into the Power and Light district (worth $10 each) and vouchers for free cover for two of the bars within it. No refrigerator or microwave in room. Expensive parking.
It was very close to point of interest. It also had a great bathroom! The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The room was a smaller than I expected.
great breakfast! plumbing in the rooms needs an update. Makes lots of noise.
The staff was nice and things looked clean. Breakfast was great. While we were there, some kids over flowed the orange juice drip tray and the staff was on it to clean it up. You could tell they were a little upset but they worked together to get it cleaned up. It cost $5 for a fridge so I could keep my breast milk. I realize $5 is not that much but that's food for my kid. $5 adds up.
The rooms where very nice and cleane Need more parking
The hotel was great. The staff was pleasant and eager to please. When we arrived, there was no record of our reservation. If I hadn't brought along my printed receipt I don't know that we would have gotten a room at all. Not the best start to our stay, but after the issue was resolved we truly enjoyed ourselves.
Great for ease in seeing Kansas City Royals play Over $200 per room, very poor value considering a lumpy bed, a missing mini fridge and tiny bathroom. Air conditioning was marginal.
After a bad storm and no power there were 350 people all trying to check in at 4 pm. The Staff was amazing in the service they provided to many irate guest. Michelle and staff did an amazing job during a stressful time. The Hotel as a whole needs to be torn down and re built. The rooms were extremely outdated, mold on the ceiling tiles in the room, no hot water, bugs in the blinds, NO air conditioning at all, very poor over all quality for spending $250 for one night because of a concert being in town.
Love how beautiful the hotel was an how relaxing the room was an Denys was right across the way so I smacked all night lol love this place plus it has a water park .
The hotel appearance upon arrival was nice and clean. The gentlemen there when we arrived was kind and helpful. The beds were the WORST! As were the pillows. Was supposed to have a microwave but didn't. The rooms were so warm - even with the air down to 60. Indoor pool door was jammed shut so we couldn't swim. However, the man at the counter gave us tickets to the water park - which was okay but super warm and heavy - but suppose it's supposed to be? Had to get ice from the market because the 2 floors I was sent to to get ice, the machines weren't working. A few more petty things.. Not a fan of the hotel :(
clean room and was quiet hot tub was cold and heavy on the chlorine
Nothing Front desk was rude. Notified them of no heat in our room, they told us to pretty much deal with it.
The location and setting were excellent. Not family friendly. An indoor or outdoor pool needed.
My girlfriend and I stayed here last weekend for a friend's wedding, and we loved the hotel. The location is great, a block away from all the fun bars/restaurants in Westport, and the hotel itself is beautiful, very modern and elegant. We will definitely be staying here again when we come back to KC. The only complaint I had (a small one) is that the Hotel bar was closed Saturday afternoon during some of the games, so I couldn't pop in for a drink.
Very nice, clean hotel in the Westport neighborhood, a relaxed area filled with bars, shops, and restaurants. Did not get a chance to use all of the services (was attending a conference), but I definitely enjoyed the happy hour and hot breakfasts in the morning. The staff was very friendly and attentive despite a full hotel. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable, and I appreciated the hotel's efforts at being as green as possible. All in all, a good stay.
