Waffle house in walking distance. I've already reviewed this hotel on my last stay. I'll just repeat that if you want to check in at 2:59pm, be ready to pay $25 early check in fee. Check in is at 3pm, not a second earlier.
I HAD TO RE CLEAN MY BATHROOM AND THE AIR DID NOT WORK PROPERLY. I did not go to the front desk because for me it was OK. Not a fan of the air. But it was a hot night. The fan served its purpose
The location of the hotel! I loved that it was close to the interstate. Nothing!
Almost nothing. There is a Waffle House in walking distance. No check in early unless you want to pay $25 extra. Even if they have a clean room waiting for you, no check in early. My son and I got there at 1pm, no check in early. We slept on their couch until they let get our room. Would not recommend. Only reason I'm back is because I had already paid for the room along with my cruise. Too bad staff can only do what Mgr says. Makes no sense to have room ready sitting empty. I understand if they had housekeeping to clean a room for you, but I was told by the staff my room was already cleaned, but I couldn't get in until 3pm. They weren't kidding.
We appreciated the cleanliness, the staff, and the shuttle service to and from the airport. We will definitely book a room on our next flight. We have no complaints at all.
I liked the fish pond and fish food for the fish. My 6 year old loved seeing thefish
Location was very close to where I needed to be. The room was the smallest I have ever seen. The bed was full size instead of Queen. No closet in the room. It was a shelf in the wall with no hangers on it. Towels were filthy. Wanted to check in at 2:25 when I arrived in town, but was told there is a $25 early checking fee for anytime before 3pm. Asked for a larger room and said it was an additional fee for changing rooms.
Clean room friendly service
Very nice--Room Coffee Pot did not work--Plenty of coffee in Lobby.
Staff is pleasant and always clean.
While located near the jax airport, this hotel is located on what is a side road off the main road between I-95 and the airport. If you know where it is, the hotel is easily accessible but if you don't, it isn'T. Relative to other hotels in the area, it is reasonably priced, clean, safe, and convenient taking into account the above caveat. In summary, it's fine for an overnight stay before catching a flight or boarding a cruise but offer's little more. The "Continental" breakfast was acceptable. The low cost quoted by Booking.com did not clearly indicate an additional charge for services such as wifi though the charge was noted in what I would describe as a footnote. Taxes, however were about what they are everywhere...I.E., soak the tourist.
My boyfriend and I stayed Sunday night (9/4). The staff was awesome. The room was even better. But the bed. The bed was the best yet. The room we had is kind of separated by a half wall. The couch was comfortable enough for both of us to lounge and watch TV, something we never do in hotels. It was a really nice evening. We both slept like the dead all night which was great and breakfast was awesome. I've never been to Jacksonville but I'd go back for the stay alone.
The room was updated and very clean. I really appreciated the room design with the extra sitting area. The breakfast was beautiful prepared and the cooking staff was sweet and funny.. I was a very late arrival and the front desk lady greeted me and made me feel welcomed and safe That it was booked and I couldn't continued my stay
Clean, updated facilities. Staff members at check-in were too busy talking with each other to provide proper customer attention.
Me gusta lo cerca que está del aeropuerto No me gusta que estaba en construcción y no estaba notificado solo servía un ascensor el polvo en la habitación era demasiado tuve problemas para que la recepcionista entendiera que había prepagado mi estadía
i like that they take you to the shopping center and airport free and the breakfast was good and the rooms were very clean i thought that i would be paying 123 dollars for two nights but when i got their i was charged 178 dollars. each day i had to pay 9 dollars tax and 20 dollars per day hold. i got the 20 dollars per day back but i think they should tell you that when you book the room so you can be prepaired for the extra charges on your card.
Location was the best part of the hotel. It's located near lots of shopping and dining options. Security and cleanliness also rank very high on the list. Needed a tad bit more parking. The nights we stayed, the hotel was booked up because of a music festival in town so we had a hard time finding a parking spot when we got home from the concerts.
Wasn't as clean as we would like. I wouldn't rate this a 4 star hotel. Breakfast and staff were great. That would be the only reason to stay here again. Older then expected, small bathroom, loud AC unit, noisy area, broken pack n play and wasn't in our room like we asked.
location is perfect for early morning flight Decor is pleasant Roaches in the tub drain and the A/C made loud noises at 4 AM waking us up. Desk clerk told us renovation is just beginning, starting on our floor.
Dirty wash cloth hanging in shower Empty food containers under bed skirt
Staff was friendly and the rooms were very clean.
It served its purpose but there was nothing special about it. Breakfast was mediocre. Staff wasn't very knowledgeable and couldn't answer questions regarding transportation to the cruise port despite 90% of the people staying there were going on the cruise.
Beautiful and quality facility, receptionist was wonderful
My wife and I got quick confirmation and went right in at midnight. Once in, we only needed to be there 5 hours so due to the time, it wasn't worth calling for amenities that should have been there. We got a room that once we opened the door a roach ran across the bed. To make matters worse, When I showered, there were no towels and only a used bar of soap. I had to leave for a 6am flight, so it wasn't worth the effort to call the front desk. I just wanted to get out of there.
Price was OK for an overnight on our way south. Not as clean as I might like. Only 3 small pillows on a king bed.
Had to book last minute, rooms were available. Bed \was clean and comfy. Relatively cheap with free breakfast. Much like the Dec 7th traveler, second time staying here. The first time I went through the smoking room debacle. Plenty of empty NS rooms but you had to pay an additional $5 for one. Really? Second time around, I ponied up the $5 ahead of time only to find out the NS room smelled musty (worse than the smoking room). Carpet was very damp, no doubt contributing to the smell. You will not want to take your shoes off. After about 5 mins, your nose will get used to the smell, lol. Water smelled "weird" too but maybe that's a Florida thing? In any case, this will be the last time I stay at the Travelodge in Jax.
Value. Good location. Breakfast decent. Room mediocre. Needs updating badly. A lot of noise and people just hanging out. Electronic lock didn't work. Was near the ice maker which ran all night and very noisy people coming and going. Not enough outlets to plug in electronics. The wifi is hideous. So slow. Just dated. It's ok for the money but I've stayed in equally priced hotels with stellar facilities.
Comfy beds. Very nice staff. This is my second stay here. The first time was ok. This room left a lot to be desired. Dusty. Tile in bathroom broken. Toilet broke, but maintenance fixed quickly. I booked a smoking room due to it being on special. I asked for a change to a non smoking and they wanted to charge 5 extra dollars. I could see that over 3/4 of the rooms were vacant in this hotel, so why would it be an issue? I asked for a room in the back where I could have quiet. With 3/4 of the rooms empty, they put me next door to someone?? The wifi is simply terrible too. I think I'll be finding a new hotel to try for my subsequent trips to Jacksonville.
Location. The room had bedbugs. I noticed in the morning when I saw them on the pillow and the bed. I did not think I was bitten until a few hours after I left the hotel. I told the front desk when I was checking out and she told maintenance. Nothing else was done. Btw.. I showed pictures to the front desk woman.
staff/ owner is alway rude. this was my second time staying there.

The room exceeded expectations. Parking was horrible. Big trailers were crammed into the tiny lot.
Clean, comfortable bed, easy to find, large size room. Front desk clerk(female) didnt seem well trained or professional.
Room size and complimentary breakfast and parking
Room was quite spacious with two queen beds, a sofa and a full sized desk. Location was very close to the airport. Didn't make use of it but there was a free breakfast in the morning as well.
Location close to Jacksonville International Airport was main reason. Air conditioner/heater blower section was noisy.
It was close to the beach It stinks of mold and mildew. Made me sick.
Friendly staff and a pretty good breakfast. odor, pool was not open. Ice machine was broken apparently for some time.
Beds are so comfortable, pillows are awesome! Very good breakfast. Pool was small but clean and well maintained. Large rooms.
Their breakfast had a pretty good variety of things, bisquets and gravy, cereal, waffle maker, cereal. And when room service came in they didn't disturb my things. Huge beds, but possibly the hardest bed I've ever touched. Also, the road the hotel is located on is really weird. IF YOU WANT FAST FOOD, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DONT GET ON THE MAIN ROAD. You'll have to go all the way down to the airport to turn around.

Great staff, clean spacious room, near the airport! nothing.
internet service, long distance
It was very clean. The coffee and breakfast area was nice and close to our room. We didn't stay in the room long as we went to the game earlier to be assured of arriving with the heavy traffic expected. We basically enjoyed our stay, just wish it had been a little easier to find upon arrival. It was hard to locate even using a GPs. The entrance was bad for people who didn't know the area. We were told there was a shuttle to the FL/GA game but not that we would have to book our own. We expected a fee but not the confusion we encountered whne we were just handed some flyers. It would have been nice to at least have been given some insight on a good transicit. Luckily we called Greg and Eve with City Transportation and they were very nice and efficient. The cost was a little higher than planned because your desk person upon reserving the room had said we would have a shuttle. Also, we were told we whold have a suite but got a single. That turned out o.k. but wasn't what we were told upon reserving the room.
The room was nice but small. The staff was pretty nice. Yeah, they don't include soap in their rooms. There's a sign in the bathroom that says you have to call down for it. That is kind of disgusting.
With its problems it seems to have done a lot. It's staff is friendly and the food bar remained open during the power outage Last nights there I noticed the ware on the beds head board and than at night I noticed a coackroach. Might be due to the lights auto turning off every minute which as green as it is most pest are nocturnal.
online ane the pics suggest a hotel that is much nicer, the bed was very uncomfortable, wall paper was already coming up on the walls the room was rather small, didn't like the layout of the room, and the price I thought was way out of proportion to the hotel and location. I would never go back to another aloft hotel.
Nothing Upon checking in the first room we went to the beds were leaning up against the wall. The second room we went to it smelled musty in mildewy, the fridge where we were putting our daughters medicine was dirty and mold in the shows in the corners. The final room we rested in was also dirty and mold on the shower. I've been staying almost exclusively at Hilton properties for over 20 years. For most of the time I've been a diamond member and this is the worst property that Hilton has put their name on.
It was very clean and everyone was really nice The breakfast could've had been better
It was very conveinent and clean. I like the free wireless and breakfast. The room was as nice if not better than the high priced Westin I stayed the night before at the San Francisco airport. It was very comfortable. My experience was great and I travel and stay in alot of hotels for my occupation.
The beds were comfortable. Shortly after arriving to our room, another guest entered our room with a different key. Once we had our keys rekeyed we weren't able to enter our room. The only item in our bathroom was a bar of soap. Also, our coffee was lukewarm in the morning. This was the worst experience with Hampton Inn Hotels. I expect better of this usually higher quality chain.
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Rooms clean and comfortable!
I was lost on my way to the hotel, I called the hotel staff, Mrs. Letecia the hotel manager was so kind and patient to personally direct me to the hotel, otherwise I would have been lost in traffic.
quiet room ,most comfortable pillows ever, close proximity to UF Hospital N. and the cordiality of the lady at front desk
I give this 4 stars for its purpose: great location for catching an early flight, if you are just looking for a no-frills room to catch some sleep for a few hours. For any longer stay, I'd give 3 stars. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. I'm allergic to cigarette smoke and several of the non-smoking rooms smelled heavily of smoke residue. We eventually found one that was ok but if the hotel had had a busier night, we might not have been able to try out those extra rooms.
The Economy Lodge was convenient, clean, comfortable beds and great value for the money. The breakfast was not up to par with the rest of the facility. Not much there to chose from.
For the price it was a decent hotel, with good amenities, in a good area, close by restaurants. The staff was very nice. Twice I found vomit outside on the walkways that wasn't cleaned up for quite some time and there were men drinking in the pool. I felt uncomfortable taking my son for a swim around that. I'm not a fan of men when they are drunk. I wish there was a no alcohol at the pool policy.
I don't know what I liked about Days Inn because I was not able to stay there. They over booked and moved me to a Travl Lodge across the street. I didn't like being told I have a room and given a conformation number and when I arrived I was told they didn't have a room for me and moved me across the street to a Travel Lodge that had a lower rating than the days Inn. The room was not very nice. The receptionist said we give priority to people that book directly with them instead of those that book through someone else. Not by the order of when you registered, which seems the way it should be done. I don't know if it was Days Inn mistake or if it was KAYAK's mistake but usually if a business makes a mistake thay don't usally punish the customer. Who ever made the mistake should have booked us in a nicer hotel and pay the difference. Take a lesson from the airlines.
Considering it was by the airport it was very quiet. Breakfast was really good and the rooms were very comfortable. As I was travelling on this was a great place to rest and adjust to the different time zones before moving on.
Everything was perfect. I would definitely stay here again. Room was nice and clean. I normally don't eat the complimentary breakfast, so I hoped for restaurant options. Not much to choose from near this hotel. I can't blame the hotel for that.
Love the room it was nice and comfortable and very relaxing!! Didn't like that we had to check out so early and we checked in so late
I love the rooms so clean
Great location to restaurants and shopping centers Not the cleanest room I've stayed in
It was a bed and hot water for the price nothing extra. I asked the staff for towels towels and toilet paper and said they do not have access to these items. We are 4 adults that needed to take showers. The staff was rude but I'm the pepper that brings everything from home so if in the area and need a quick nap it's ok but don't stay for long.
The staff was friendly. Old and very dirty room
The rooms where overall clean. The hotel was close by a nice strip mall with eating and shopping. It is worth staying at for the price. The room had a slight smell to it when we arrived but it wasn't nothing to complain about. The outside of the hotel could use some serious updating and seem to have some perminent residents. But for what it's worth I would stay here again.
Great location right near the airport and no charge for pets. Room was comfortable. There were a bunch a people who seemed to be living at the hotel. They were a bit questionable. Also didn't like that the pool was closed.
Location. Broken down beds Ripped furniture, dirty bathroom, property not taken care of and so many more things that will never bring us back. Motel 6 a step up.
Big room, good price. Toilet kept running. Smoke detector began chirping at 5 am and front desk person told me there was nothing he could do. I had to climb on a chair at 530 and take the battery out. 0945 housekeeping banging on door to inquire if I was staying another night. Smelled horrible outside and so many people hanging out. Like a flop house. Manager apologized but no offer for a free night or any compensation. I will be calling corporate. I will not come back.
Bed was nice.
The proximity to the airport and price were great. Room was very nice and clean. Staff friendly. And who doesn't like a warm cookie on check in!? The only complaint is the pillows! Might as well not had any at all.
We stay here 4 times a year. Always clean. Staff very accomodating. Breakfast is good.
My family was together for a wedding, and we needed a room large enough to accomodate everyone. The price was reasonable, and the rooms were wonderful. The beds were comfortable, and little extras like feather pillows, a gas log fireplace, and a welcome basket made it more comfortable than most 5-star places I've stayed. The free breakfast buffet and dinners were great, and the staff was so kind and accomodating. They really went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable (and memorable). I would definitely stay here again!
we stayed here on the way to WDW/orlando. got one of the 2 bedroom units for our group of 5. great property; very friendly staff. we walked next door to longhorn for dinner, which was also quite good. the breakfast the next morning was much better than i expected it would be. we really enjoyed our stay here.
Great and clean hotel to stay in and relatively new. Friendly staff, good hot breakfast in a nice seatin area. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. However, the 'deluxe' bedding didn't quite measure up.
This hotel is very clean, nice room, great service. When I booked the room the price was better than surrounding hotels.
My stay here was an enjoyable experience. I especially liked the complimentary meals: a full hot/cold breakfast and early evening reception (actually dinner) with meat, salads, beer and wine. What a treat! The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean well equipped.
I would go back very soon. The people that work there were very nice and helpful. The women that take care of the breakfast is very polite.
This Residence Inn gave me the most enjoyable stay I have ever experienced in a hotel. The Manager gave us the most accommodated feeling I've ever had in a hotel. Also a special commendation for the hostess who served at the Breakfest Bar. The Room was excellent, the breakfest great, and the grill by the pool special.
All of the staff here were very friendly and helpful, especially the evening front desk ladies and the breakfast employees. The food was good and the room was very comfortable. We had the pool to ourselves most of the week and we really enjoyed sitting out by the firepit in the evenings and visiting with family. We will be back.
