We were extremely impressed with the decor and cleanliness of the hotel.
Very efficient reception staff, large comfortable room, spacious underground car park that was reasonably priced as is the hotel itself. Sadly only one member of staff on reception who although pleasant was unable to clear the queue of people trying to book in, and ask questions about where to eat as the hotels own cafeteria and restaurants were closed due to a private booking!! A very hot August night was hot made any more comfortable by the poor air con in the room which took several hours to reach a reasonable temperature.

Within walking distance of Plaza Mayor. Parking garage available and Wifi was very good. The detail to cleaning could have been better. It wasn't perfect but wasn't bad.
Really nice hotel, very comfortable & in an excellent location for the city's key sights. Would stay here again & definitely recommend it.
Great value. Modern, spacious rooms. Hard to find, even with gps as it had no door number listed on the website. I drove right past it the first time. The website should also tell you to park in the public parking under the hotel then take the elevator up to reception.
very near to the historic centre, literally a two minute walk. Staff very helpful and polite
--Nicely decorated --Clean rooms --Good facilities --Modern hotel --Convenient location --Friendly and helpful staff --No breakfast included with the hotel rate and the breakfast on site was expensive (12 euros). --We requested a queen bed and got two single beds pushed together.
The Plaza Mayor was inaccessible due to relaying of the entire surface of the square.
Modern, great family room, next to historic centre.
Caceres is a beautiful city and this new hotel is right near to the main medieval square..extremely comfortable and very new.
very smart modern hotel, on the edge of a most interesting old town; but difficult to find.
position no kettle
historical building parking
Room's Terrace was great for evening smoking. Very close to historic site. Good restaurants in close proximity. Nice bar and breakfast area. Quaint square at front door.
Central location great. Bathroom could have been of a better standard
nice quiet place in the old centre of Caceres ,with a lot of opportunities to sitesee or enjoy a good diner . we couldn,t reach the hotel by car due to building, and if we could have reached it, the tennent told us there wouldn,t be any parkingspace ! very anoying when you arrive late in the evening with two little children. No problem if you know in advance, so this should be on the website
Location absolute impossible parking possibilities and no valet parking
valet parking could improve the parking immensily
location and quality
Staff were excellent and advised us of a car park straight out the front (free) when it became available.
Close proximity to town centre. Breakfasts were great and varied to suit all tastes. Facilities were really clean and spacious. Love the historic touches throughout this ole palace. Possibly the heavy dense cigar smoke from some of the clients in the hotel bar which was a bit inhibitory to going in to use the facilities.
Very nice staff. Good location for walking around the city. No
Outstanding value. High quality rooms. Excellent buffet breakfast. Garage parking.
Pleasant Hotel, 10 mins. walk to Bus and Train stations and Caceres. Had good cafeteria attached
Excellent hotel with friendly helpful staff. Reasonable location for exploring the historic city. Teh restaurant and piano bar were closed when we stayed there. We were not told about this before hand and there weren't any nearby restaurants.
The breakfast, very extensive and good.
The breakfast buffet was excelent, always with a selection of fresh fruit, different kinds of bread and products from the region, from marmelades to sausages. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The hotel is excellently located, near the entrance of the city and at a 10 minutes walk from Plaza Mayor, the main town square. Most of the signs in the hotel are only written in Spanish, what makes it difficult to non-Spanish speakers to 'navigate' through the hotel.
Quite and Relaxing Modern Hotel with large room about 10 mins walk to the shops/sites. Good car park under the hotel but quite expensive.
yes, the cot for my baby were broken and very old.
The bar was extremely poor quality , the room was good and breakfast was good. Above
Close to city centre, rooms were tidy. It was quite in the room, no noises from other rooms or corridor
Easy to find from the motorway with good underground carpark. Large rooms and good breakfast. Outside pool area closed for the winter, although weather still sunny 26 degrees in early October.
Nothing in particular...ordinary chain hotel. But;staff cannot speak English...none of them! The swimming pool.....green alge all over.It does not fit the image of hotel
Staff spoke very little English.
free parking if you get there early hotels needs an update as soon as possible.
Luxurty spacious hotel room and excellent breakfast
Its a friendly very relaxing hotel, the rooms are very comfortable and the staff are very helpful.
Easy to find off the main road from Seville/Salamanca and plenty of parking. High standards at a reasonable price with large comfortable rooms A bit far from the old town but we knew it was not a city centre hotel. The walk down into town was further than we thought but a taxi back was very reasonable. Just a minor point
Very quiet hotel and area. Very good price for the its quality. The hotel should review its smoking policy in the lounge area.
Clean and comfortable, easy to find, easy to Park, staff is nice Distance from city center is the only thing I can point out.
Everything. The hotel is very good. Everything is good.
Location, big rooms and confortable beds, you will have a good night sleep for sure!
Its proximity to the old town and all its attractions and dining oportunities plus in house parking we were not advised that the premier dining room required reservations, which meant we had to go elsewhere.
The coffee served at breakfast was disgusting
We stayed at the AH Agora during a trip to see the ancient town of Caceres. The hotel is modern and in an excellent location between the modern new town and the old town. Staff were friendly and helpful and even parked and retrieved our car from the underground car-park (pay-parking). Breakfast was good. We didn't take any other meals in the hotel; lots of restaurants in the nearby Plaza Mayor. A couple of English language TV news channels would be a bonus.
It has a modern, spacious design and our room was large and comfortable. Location is good for the center of town and the more scenic parts are five minutes' walk away. There's a magnificent view of the town and surrounding countryside from the roof terrace. The hotel is on a narrow, shabby back street that's used as a high-speed short cut and whose pavements are intermittently blocked by scaffolding; but this will be temporary, as the neighborhood is clearly being renovated.
tidy, good service, large room. rooms nothing special - not bad but not amazing. average / acceptable for money.appears to have facilities for wheelchair which is very uncommon in southern spain. great town though.
nice hotel and room, overall walls between rooms are not soundproof (at all)
Location for old town, Secure parking for motorcycles, good size rooms.
Location and cleanleness Bar closed before 11PM
Close to old town Parking is tricky. Small room.
I was greeted by a very helpful and friendly receptionist, the room had all that was needed and the location is great for access to the centre. Good value, recommend it. Has indoor parking if you need it.
The room was clean, spatious and the staff were very helpful. Good that it has private parking as it not in a location where you can leave your car anywhere nearby. You need to reserve parking though as there are only 8 or 9 spaces! It was a bit hard to find
Great location in heart of old town, simple yet spacious and comfortable room, included a breakfast (choices of cereal, toast, coldcuts, yogurt) which provided extra value. No special view
Reception staff spoke fluent English and could not have been more helpful. Despite it's less than impressive exterior, next to a building site, the hotel was clean, comfortable and very safe Parking charged extra and very tight to get into basement or turn once in there
The credit card machine did not work and I had to pay cash for the room.
Very close to city center Pleasant neighbourhood No english speaking channels (or other foreign speaking languages), particularly CNN or Sky News
The courtesy if the staff. The room heating system used poor quality air which gave me a bronchial infection.
Friendly access to the old quarter of the city, friendly helpful staff, excellent cafeteria and affordable prices. no
Good location Bathroom was smelly
Rooms were bigger than others we stayed in. Hotel is easy walk to old/interesting part of town. Wifi was not working when we were there & there seemed to be no sense of urgency to get it fixed. This was one of the key reasons we booked & was a big disappointment. When we came back to Caceres later in the trip we stayed at the Hotel Don Carlos & it was much better.
Easy access to a range of shops, restaurants, and only a short walk from the old town. Very clean and modern hotel with everything in working order.
This is a very good place to stay. Close to shopping areas and the historic sites of the city. It is a little hard to find. The hotel sign says Alcantra, but the actual name is Husa Alcantra. Also the street Number in the address is 14, but the actual one is 12. Hotel does not have parking but free street parking is available.
Very freindly front desk staff on check in and departure. Organised taxi to train station early sunday morning.
Pleasant staff. Ample breakfast but limited choice Plaza Mayor is being dug up and is fenced off until 2016 so hotel's location has nothing to compensate for 5 minutes walk from 10 Euro per night car park
I will always return to this hotel when I am in Caceres.
The hotel's location is in the middle of the city. Considering the room prices, this makes it worthwhile. For those traveling by car, the hotel could be a bit of an incovenience, particularly if you have a lot of luggage, because you have to walk a brief distance down from the closest parking garage to the hotel.
There was perfect breakfast for only 1 euro, It takes 20-30 minutes to reach the city center.
For the price an excellent deal. A good location for visiting the city. Helpful and pleasant staff. Highly recommended as a budget hotel.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, despite our language barrier! The 1euro breakfast was amazing value. Unfortunately our room was very noisy due to inconsiderate neighbours playing tv till 6am so we got little sleep and had a long drive the next day. The walls appeared to be constructed only of boarding and so were very thin.
The shuttle to airport and return to vairpot excelent.
confortable beds too noisy
Staff were friendly and helpful. Perfect location. Nice bar next door (for coffee, wine). An English-language television station would be appreciated.
Excellent value for money and great location. Staff very helpful
The location is nearby the historical center. The carpark is a 5 minutes walk away from the hotel. We had to move a lot of luggage which was not a pleasant to do in the heat of the day.
a central clean hotel good value for money
The apartment was a good size and very close to Plaza mayor. It was very reasonably priced for a family of 4. The front room smelt musty but the rest of the apartment was fine.
only 100 metres from the plaza mayor. very comfortable.wonderful bathroom.well equpped for a mini apartment.Public car park opposite.
Great stay. The apartment was clean, modern, and lovely.
Stayed in their appartments- separate from the main hotel. Hote; difficutl to find and approachnwith a car. Appratments away from main hotel and we were given poor directions. locals were very helpful! Appratment next to parking so good in that way, access by car difficult
Central to the historical area of the city There was no on-site parking and we had to transfer our luggage from a carpark about 5 mins walk from the hotel. No parking allowed outside the hotel.
They did not open the door when we arrived at 10 pm. There was no sign outside, we knocked and rang the bell. NO ONE came.. We had to walk with our backpacks to find another hotel at midnight. I have called hotels .com and complained but they are not providing the refund that I am requesting. I need this refund because the hotel was incompetent in closing the doors for us.
Very clean and fresh, great location, wonderful 5th floor view w/elevator and lots of HOT water. Air conditioning very effective. The double bed had no mattress or even a foam pad so it was literally like sleeping on the floor.
Location was an easy walk to Plaza Mayor and the old city. The hotel has two parking spaces reserved on street in front of hotel and we were given one. Room was spacious and quiet - window on the interior court. Clerk was gracious and forthcoming - provided free coffee one afternoon while I was in the courtyard by myself. Despite my google map directions, we would have had a very hard time finding the hotel had we not asked at another hotel and then parked in a public garage and searched on foot. This problem exists for most smaller hotels not on the main streets in any city in Spain. While the two staff wanted to be helpful, their lack of English and our lack of Spanish was a bit of a problem.
It is a lovely hotel with lots of individual charm and character and I hope to stay there on my next trip to Caceres.
Good location. Friendly staff.
The hotel itself was charming, with an eclectic shabby chic design, and it was located very close to the Plaza Mayor and historical downtown.
Central location. Nice bathroom. Uncomfortable beds. No hot water in shower. No coffee or breakfast offered.
Very very nice employee and owner
The location was excellent. The room was large and bathroom facilities were nice. We had a room that opened out to a nice patio. The breakfast was inexpensive and good (coffee or tea, orange juice, and toast). There was wifi! The room had a very strong odor of cigarette smoke. At night and until slightly after 9 in the morning, there was no innkeeper, and therefore no way to check out early. The wifi is not on-you have to ask for them to turn it on. Breakfast is only between a little after 9-11.
We were greeted well and invited to come down for beakfast if we wished in the morning The description of how to get there was inadequate and the roads a maze of one ways
