The primary reasons we chose Amerian Buenos Aires Park Hotel were the cost was reasonable - compared to other Buenos Aires Hotels - and the location was great for being able to walk to most tourist locations. The registration desk seemed too busy at times - we didn't see a "concierge" easily visible and were told on one occasion to use the lobby computer to learn about details of a reservation for a show. The registration staff were helpful and did speak English - which we needed since we don't speak Spanish - but they sometimes seemed too busy.
good buffet breakfast good location to activities and bus tours. good for walking in pedestrian streets variety of restaurants restaurant ' ' only ok
The hotel is well located in the middle of the downtown. It is very easy to get a cab at that location. The staff was very helpful and pleasant, even when quite busy. The housekeeping staff was discrete and accommodating when asked to come back later. The room was comfortable. The gym is very small and a bit claustrophobic. One serious drawback for an English-speaking traveler is the lack of CNN in English, or any other news in English.
Location, value for price, friendly and helpful staff, breakfast. n/a
good bed Most of the staff here were rude and not willing to help in any way. Also, double room was booked and we were given a twin room
Cheap and. Well located Staff surly, view of walln gym decrepit
It was cheap, It was very cold in the room, even with the two extra blankets I had on the bed. The carpets were dirty and gross and the surfaces of all the tables were greasy, as well as the remote for the TV. The bathroom was extremely small, the wifi barely worked, and it wasn't located in the best part of town.
Great location ! Splendid good sized comfortable bedroom .Friendly staff.
The staff was extremely helpfull and storage of luggage is done safely. The hotel is conveniently located to many shops, bars and coffee shops and you can stroll around the area for hours! The hotel is also close to the domestic airport if you're travelling within Argentina. We ended up staying with this hotel a total of 5 nights as we stopped over from travelling to other South American countries. The bedding was not as fluffly and comfortable as I would have liked and the bathrooms are very small. But these are minor niggles.
we had a super room room was noisy , we were on the street front
In the center of Buenos Aires, next to Florida Street and Galerias Pacifico, we could also walk to Puerto Madero. Breakfast was good, except for the orange juice and coffee.
The staff were very obliging and the location is excellent for inner city Buenos Aires visit.
The staff There was any computer available to be used by the guests
Hotel staff were very nice and helpful and they are available 24 hours. Location was great, walking distance to a lot of attractions and shopping mall. The room was big and clean.Value for money...
Room space; location; staff; breakast
An excellent hotel - great for shopping situated in the microcentre business area. Standards of service were very good as was the excellent breakfasts.A very enjoyable stay. None
Very nice to stay, and very good location close to the shopping street, and the subway stations. the sequrity is also very good. It is only a little bit problem to talk with the staff's In the resutrant, not at the front desk in Spanish.
Large room, bathroom, and shower. Close to Retiro and Puerto Madera. Didn't like the location since we were on a pleasure trip. Liked the Palermo and Soho neighborhoods better.
The hotel is a great Boutique style in a great location and very friendly staff.
Fantastic in every way .Great boutique hotel. Will always go back there. Simply great in all aspects. Nothing at all.
Confortable, good value
I liked the hotel staff and that It´s downtown and very easy to go anyplace.
Location short time !
Well located near center. Because I was at second floor, at 9AM there was some noise outside. Another thing is that there is no foreign channel on TV.
Clean and new. Very good selections of breakfast with table-clothe and real china. Room is spacious. Flat screen TV has a lots of English channels to watch.
Very good location. Staff were very efficient, friendly and helpful. Internet access. Some people (including kids) constantly hogging computers. Either more computers or some control like I have seen it at other hotels might overcome this.
Very nice and helpful staffs and most of them speak perfect English. Also breakfast is good. Restaurant is also good. No remote control for the air-condition in the room a little bit hot in the first night, in my room a small refrigerator cover is kind of broken, hard to close, but not so important.
The hotel is in a good, safe neighborhood in a great location near Florida pedestrian street and Galleries Pacifico. The rooms are comfortable with an understated elegance. The staff is very helpful and the breakfast buffet is generous. I would stay there again when I visit Buenos Aires again.
location, The location is perfect for downtown shopping and activities. The staff were more than helpful and easy to deal with. The room was drab and the air conditioning was ineffecient. We could turn it on but there are no temp. controls. We had to open the windows to cool the room and you lose privacy and gain street noise.. the electronic room keys were a problem for ten days. They would work a day or one use, than would fail.
Location Not 4 star as advertised. Small, poorly furnished, old looking.
perfect location in city centre fitness room is very old fashioned and machines are defect not working properly. maintenance is needed
Todo muy bien, amable el staff Un problema con el control de temperatura en la ducha, no funciona bien!
The location was great
The hotel is located in the center of town, near by all the shops and night life. Very busy area during the day and on weekends the area is very very noisy. When you get in side the hotel from the "out life" you feel like you arriving "home" :) I loved it, defently will come back. The rooms are to small for my opinion, some of the acupment in side the room need to be fixed....
Hotel is in a great location to explore Buenos Aires. Rooms are clean and of sufficient size. We had a room in the back of the hotel and it was very quiet. We loved the window covers that blocked out any sunlight. The breakfast was abundant and delicious.
The location No view. The window gives to a close and sad patio
The location is the best possible, with easy access to the subway and close to most city attractions. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The double room we had booked was not available, so we had to stay in a twin room. The staff said the beds would be joined, what never happened, even though we asked again the next morning. Also, the linens for one of the beds were initially missing, which we were given a request, but we had to make the bed ourselves.
The hotel is right on the pedestrian street, Lavalle, in the heart of the micro-center of the city. Easy access to restaurants, tourist attractions, subway/taxis. The rooms we stayed in were the non-renovated rooms, so they were as clean as can be expected of pretty old furniture and bathroom fixtures. From the rooms that face the street, you can open the window and look down on some of the street entertainment taking place on the corner of Florida. The free wireless internet was available only in the lobby and you wait while the receptionist goes through a cumbersome process to get an access code, only to find out it's good for one hour. I didn't like that the beds were all twin-size, even if you have 3 people. When I asked for a double-size bed, there was nothing available unless I wanted to pay quite a bit more. I didn't like that the mini-fridge is locked and you have to ask to have it opened. Also, I would have preferred that the "included" breakfast be available until 11am or so. We didn't get going early enough in the mornings, after enjoying late evening dinners out on the town in Argentine fashion, to take advantage of it. The only reason I might not recommend this hotel is because there are so many to choose from in that area - you might get all the advantages without the disadvantages somewhere else.
Very good location, central There is no safe box in the room
The furnishing and decor of the room is modern and well maintained. The location of the hotel is excellent in the Microcentro. The breakfast buffet was rather basic and understocked on a busy weekend morning.
very central and convenient to theatres, shops and restaurants. helpful staff who spoke english
location in the center of historical city lot of noise the fridge was losing water. they ask you to pay in advance which is not noticed on booking.
nothing at all. this hotel is not four stars. the breakfast has only croissants, my room view is for vault where i can see other rooms. I paid extra for a better room and I didn't see this value at all. Mostly the staff are very very rude.
Convenient l;ocation to everything, good value for the money. Breakfast was very good! Staff at the Front Desk were not very friendly at times if you had questions. Coulbe be that I spoke English. Patricio was great!
the breakfast the bathroom
It was centrally located in the heart of Buenos Aires , was good value for money and the staff very helpful .
The location is awesome, it is right where you want to be and couldnt get much better. You are on the metro line as well as right at the main shopping street. Very nice lobby. We were expecting a '4 Star' property as it claims to be but received nothing even close. Our room did not have functioning AC and it was HOT, the room was tiny and seemed like it was rarely cleaned, the elevators were tiny and always full, the staff were extremely strict on the checkout time and ignored an attempt I made before arriving to adjust my reservation. For the money, there are far better hotels in BA and we will certinally be staying at them next time.
The staff were particularly helpful and friendly
Please write at least 15 words
the bed, the breakfast no view from the room
staff is good furnitures are old.breakfast is poor as in all buenos aires hotels.there is carsson hotel just 50 meters nearby which has better rooms with half price.
The helpful and polite staff Location didn't feel like the safest and best place in town but with taxis it's no problem
Location The street was a little noisy even during the night. As I was in the 2nd floor, I had some problems related to this.
Hotel team was very nice and helpful!
Our double bedroom was huge with a king size bed. Hotel is conveniently located near to famous calle florida, calle lavalle and corrientes. Generally speaking the place is a little old (very clean though). Bathroom in our room was particularly obsolete
the staff and localitation the city, too much trafic!!!
Rhe room size. Wi-fi did not work at all after repeated requests to review connections. No internet alternatives in room. Hopeless for business people.
The staff was hospitable and the location was good. The rooms were very old and dingy. Kitchen did not even have the basic stuff. Bathroom did not even have the mats. The whole set seemed to be very old and worn out. it is a very very small hotel. Even the linens and towels were very worn out.
Helpfulness of all the staff and we appreciated that the rooms were clean and tidy
very friendly and helpful staff; great location
This is an excellent budget/boutique hotel, with very comfortable, nicely-designed rooms. Breakfast is basic, a step or two up from continental, but good. Very helpful, friendly staff; there was almost always someone at the desk who spoke English. Definitely recommended. The location is double-edged: on the one hand it's a two block walk from every subway line; on the other, sidewalks are narrow and traffic (and pollution) heavy.
central location, and two rooms advertised as 2 bedroom but in fact the second bedroom was lounge room with sofa bed.
Good central location, excellent value, very friendly staff No
Very friendly and efficient staff. Suite was very roomy; decent-sized kitchen and good lounge/dining area. Kitchen contained the bare essentials and didn't have a sharp knife, but we managed fine with what was there. Excellent location; we found it very quiet despite being on a main city street. Standard breakfast was included in our rate; breakfast is provided for about 4 hours and the earlier you go, the more choice you have. Would definitely stay at Sarmiento Suites again.
The location was good. The breakfast had really good media lunas (croissants) and at least something decent to eat. The hotel advertised free wi-fi in the rooms, but this was not the case. The hotel wanted to charge for wi-fi, and I pointed out that I felt the description was false advertising. The woman I spoke to about this was completely rude about it. The worst part was the poor cleanliness of the hotel. When I arrived, I found that there was toilet paper in the toilet that had not been flushed. The entire room and living spaces did not appear clean at all so I left the next day. There are many other options in Buenos Aires for reasonably priced apart hotels or apartments that you can rent at a cheaper price than this one and they are much cleaner, better maintained, and more modern. I would look elsewhere for a place to stay.
Staff was friendly and very helpful. The lobby and extended communal space was modern and polished (we did not have breakfast here). Must pay for wifi in room (in our experience this is unheard of in BA). Interior of room was worn - rust stains, rip in sofa, etc. In a dingy part of town - hotel is on a side street with loads of garbage piled outside.
-Centrally located. -Well Kept Rooms. -Great breakfast. -VERY helpful staff. -Room had no view, but given that we were in the central district, our Room was very quiet, which was a big plus given the rallies outside. -No IN-ROOM Wifi. That is an extra addition that is not mentioned in the byline of this hotel. If there were to add that, I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel.
Hotel was centrally located for conference that I was attending. All staff was extraordinarily helpful. Having to pay for Wifi and refresh code every three days was a pain. Door to room would get stuck from outside and required extra effort to open.
The staff were friendly ready to help with a smile, speaking English and Portuguese fluently, apart from Spanish obviously. The breakfast were very good, better than any 5 star hotel in Australia or England. The location is simply perfect 20 meters from Lavalle and 2 blocks from the famous Florida. The lifts capacity are for 3 people only, or 2 if you are a McDonalds freak.
First floor to the street very noisy and dusty.
the extremely small size of the room. the air in the room was absolutely stuffed. the room had not natural light. the noise of the airconditioner that does not allow one to sleep.
The only thing I liked was the location but it ins´t a very safe area. The room was very small, nothing with what they offer in the Internet pictures, no place in the bathroom to put your personal belongings neat bad there's no place yo hang your clothes or towels, small desk is not functional, long and cold air enters through the windows because it does not close properly, the noise of the street is quite clear in the room. They do not make dollar change in the lobby, and so I did not like the service.
Friendly staff , good service , room reasonable . Room was a bit worn , need an update to drapes and some fixup of cracks in bathroom . Door did not seem very secure.
Location, very near of almost evrything in the downtown.
Two rates, one for locals and one for foreigners
Check-in too late, check-out too early.
Breakfast was very good. The bed were very comfortable. No noise at night. The amiability of the staff. Great location. The wifi at the room was very bad. They need to update the bathroom
