Really enjoyed our stay here. It's a quiet, simple, and cozy setup right off the main street in Bodrum. Mustafa and family were extremely nice and caring in making us feel at home and welcome to the pansiyon. I would highly recommend staying here for location, value, and a nice home atmosphere away from the noise of Bodrum. Nothing terrible about the stay. We wish there was clean towels and tissue paper more frequently, however.
Although their English was minimal, the staff were very friendly eager to please. And despite the language barrier, they were very helpful when we needed advice about how to get around! While the hotel's central location was convenient, the only downside to that was the noise from the street below our window (mostly the drone of mopeds flying around at all hours.)
Gonca and Erkan were gracious and attentive hosts who really looked after their guests. The hotel was a charming little place away from the noise of the beach and the room was very clean and comfortable. The ample breakfast in the sun by the pool was a good way to start the day and we really enjoyed our stay here.
The staff was excellent and it was a good value for the price. I was surprised at the shower being in the bathroom without walls. I didn't mind it but I was surprised.
Staff and swimming pool.
The staff was very very helpful. Maybe the breakfast could be diversified. All else was fine.
The Hotel is so ideal for whom like Family business hotels. Very central location, just minutes away to the Night Life district. The staff is very friendly and trying to make your stay experience nice. Its garden makes you feel at home. Because of being a small hotel, the amenities are limited.
great staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms are small but have everything you need and are very clean.Outdoor pool area is great and close walking distance to main town and beach. no- we loved our stay at Artunc!
The family that runs the hotel is really helpful and friendly. For me as single traveller the central location, only a few minutes from bus station, city centre, shopping street etc. was perfect. The pillow was quite hard.
Perfect location (very near the beach and bus station), good service, modest price! I think it's ideal variant for travellers, who don't want to have expensive "all inclusive". Strongly recommended! There are only Turkish channels on TV. It will be better to have also channels in English (or Russian :)
The family running the hotel is fantastic, they do everything they can to make sure your time in Bodrum is relaxing and fun!! They are helpful and nice, I would highly recommend this hotel.
The owners make you so welcome great swimming pool hard to belive you are so close to the centre of bodrum a great location a great place to stay
simple clean rooms, central position
Very good location, nice staff, beautiful hotel in a cave. Bad smell in the bathroom.
Central location, basic but inexpensive
A very warm hospitality! I reccomend this Hotel also for the good service offered from the staff. It is placed in a very good position close to the beaches and all the Bodrum night life. High recommended!!!
My companion and I stayed at Gulec for three nights at the end of the holiday season. The staff were great! The rooms are basic but after all it is a 'pension'. The Gulec is about 4 minutes casual walk from Bar Street. It is what it is! V good value for money in a very busy resort. The Turkish brekfast may not be to the liking of some Westerners but you can get hamburgers etc in the resort or try Curleys bar (only a few minutes walk from Gulec) for a genuine sausage and bacon brekfast. nothing!
very friendly and accomidating staff
The management and staff at Hotel Gulec were very friendly and helpful, offering to recommend and reserve restaurants, directing us towards places of interest, and organising a trustworthy taxi driver to take us to the airport very early in the morning. The hotel is in a great location, close to the bazaar and main harbour. It was perfect for what we were wanting. There was some loud music from a bar down the road, though not the hotel's fault, and probably only audible to rooms on one side of the hotel.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Need a hand rail for the stairs.
The traditional Turkish breakfast served on the small terrace/patio in the gardens. Beds are extremely hard - like all Turkish beds. Too small for a family of 4 in a quad room.
I lıke the garden wıth a lot of beautıful trees and almost breakfast ın the garden, people are really frıendly and especıaly the woman who cooks the breakfast ı wıll mıss her and the hotel ıs really quıet but ın good place of Bodrum
near centar old furniture in rooms
Foods are very good! My expectations not high, so we will like very much! They are very friendly! When we check out, try to pay extras but credit card machine is not working!
Friendly staff, excellent the quality / price
I really was sattisfied with choosing and staying in Atrium hotel, not only because of its very nice staff, but also the location of the hotel and viscinity to the city center, castel, beach, etc. everything was good
dinner and breakfast were good, also location.
good hotel not enough facilities open for use during our stay
location although central v peaceful food needs improving and swimming pool didn't seem that brill to me .... hotel didn't make me want to hang around....very shabby in parts, cots, guests towels all over the place maybe a spruce up will do the trick
Gardens and courtyards were lovely. Generous size of rooms Obvious long term leak in pipes running within wall - Probably from upstairs bathroom - causing mould stains on wall and puddles on floor
Very conveniently located with shops, market and restaurants, nightlife within 5 min. Walking distance. -
There were plenty of sunbeds and quite a few terraces to sunbathe on away from the pool. The pool was clean and large enough to swim in. The staff were pleasant. In our room there was a fridge kettle and hairdryer (not all had them though). The breakfast was self service. You could also bring in cereals for the children or for those who didn't like the Turkish breakfast. The rooms were cleaned daily, and the chambermaid was really nice. Even though we did not book with Thomas Cook, the rep Patrick came to see us and welcome us. The rooms were basic and small. They did not have a balcony that would accommodate a table and chairs, you could fit a stool on them only. A lot of the rooms were dark. We did not like our first room so we asked to be moved. The hotel has private appartments to the rear and the people in these can use the hotel facilities. There were a lot of complaimts about faulty showers, and we had to cover the floor with towels when we had a shower because the water was not draining away, even though we reported it to the hotel more than once.
The hotelpersonel try to help and they are kind, but they are not so prefessional that they say that they a question don't understand. So they give sometimes not good help. This hotel gives no value for your money. It is far to expensive for a hotel of this quality in Turkey. Further: On one day no hot water. The showerfacilities are not clean (mould).
The hotel is close to the bar street of Bodrum I was given a big room with tea maker and tea table. But unfortunately, the water pressure was too weak, the lights did not work and there was no wireless internet connection. The availability of wireless internet is not garanteed in every room, which seems to be in contraction with the booking.com site's description. Finally I changed to another room which was smaller but everything worked fine.
The central position of the hotel, the size of my room. It is a nice, good builded hotel. The room was dirty, the bed blankets especially :( but maybe because now it is out of season time and it was a last minute booking? Breakfast was very poor and....did not inspirate me. (maybe because not many customers in the Hotel)??
Friendly atmosphere and helpful staff; location;
The pool was nice and it's only a couple of minutes walk from the beach and the town centre. Food and drinks were very expensive. Food was very poor quality & often inedible. Half of our party of 36 were kicked out half way through the holiday because they had overbooked and wanted to give priority to the tour operators. We were moved to an even poorer quality hotel along the road that was dirty, smelly and in disrepair.
Location is great, the hotel is very good designed and kept. Wifi is quite poor
Breakfast was OK, for turkish standards. The room was really not too clean. The towels didn't smell like clean. It may be a detail, but it was enough for us to move away.
room is big enough and the bathroom is new and clean.the location is close to the center of the city and the sea is not far from there.
Very friendly staff, excellent location, clean rooms
Hotel staff is Not good at all and rooms Are dirty and poorly equipped! Everything's but the location. Surely does Not fit with the booking.com rating.
peaceful location. very near to the entertainment area weak wi-fi service
Nice room, nice swimming pool, good value for money
The facility is adequate, even includes clothes rack which is rare to find in Turkish hotels. Location is central, within walking distance to harbour as well as center of town. Breakfast was good too. The staff was a little cold but not unfriendly. I guess it's Bodrum style after all -- they see too many tourists come and go!
