Good reception, convenient location. Clean and well equipped rooms. Mind staying at the 1st floor as the constant sound of I guess the generator? in the garden may irritate you after a while.
All staff was very good attitude.
its central location, garage parking - very good for an over night stay and an opportunity to look around the city
location near to the city center and the railway station the two door entrance to the room and the carpet
Good location, kind and friendly staff, good room (roomsa re in renovation process, so some may still be old ones) The room was in corridor repair area with chemical smell, breakfast is not as good as cost it, hotel parking area is small and difficult to park.
Very pleasant staff. Good car parking arrangements. Within easy walking distance of the city centre and main attractions.
The room was totally renovated and very clean! Very spacious and comfortable! In addition, I switched our room dates a couple times and the staff was very, very nice about it! The maid tried to open our door at 8:00 a.m. and then let it slam shut. Also, another hotel worker was slamming the doors in the morning when he was looking in a closet that was directly across from our room. That woke me up and was really annoying. The maids should know before hand which rooms are taken and which need to be cleaned and are unattended without slamming doors! Breakfast not included and the hotel is not exactly in the center, more like 3 or 4 blocks. Also, the bathroom had no shower curtain, hence the water everywhere and the door was wierd. It was a frosted glass sliding door, which was nice but it generated a lot of light (which was not good since we had our kids and it lit up almost the whole room when in use).
Very nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good location convenient parking, but you have to book in advance
Close to Strasbourg old city. Rooms are clean but old fashioned. Breakfast room was hot as a sauna......crazy!
5 minutes walk to the centre of Straatsburg
The folks here are responsive and helpful. The hotel itself is within walking distance of all the sights of the old town. Nice modern rooms, great breakfast in a clean, well-kept environment. Parking in their garage was made much easier by the gentleman who knows how to handle the tight spaces. Cindy's (at the desk) recommendation for dinner was outstanding. I would definitely stay here again.
I like the different type of cheese present same breakfeast for 4 days. Pork sausages only ( muslim doesn't consume pork would suggest chicken sausages which can be consumed by everyone) more hot plats in breakfeast
Fin beliggenhet.
Great location, friendly staff, decent breakfast and the building is renewed. The rooms are way too small.
Great location, comfy bed, trendy, free drinks apples and candy, nice breakfast, friendly staff. Remodeled rooms but on the small side.
The location is great being so close to the old town. However, I booked 10 twins but when we turned up (only around 5 p.m,, not late at night) we were simply told "Sorry, we only have 6 twins. The rest you have to take double rooms!!" I think there should be some guarantee about getting what we book through booking.com.
Newly renovated, clean, good location. Very good 2 star hotel.
Very good location, very good buffet breakfast, small but comfortable room, free WIFI friendly personnel.
Clean, modern rooms and trendy atmosphere.
very close to the station, the price included breakfast the room was small
The staff was friendly, curteous and very helpful, The room, although very small, was clean with ample storage. The hotel is located on a side street and it would have been helpful if we had known that beforehand; even with a GPS, it was hard to find. The location, just across from the main train station, was central and it was easy to get around.
the room was very clean, hotel staffs are very kind. the room was small, but ok.
I liked the location of the hotel and the interior design of my room was truly stunning. I arrived at 1 pm and my room was not ready. I arrived again at 2 pm and my room was not ready. I had a meeting in Luxembourg and had to leave my belongings with the staff, which was not comforting for me. I also needed to take a shower but since my room was not ready I couldnt do so. When I arrived later at night, I had a different woman at the desk who was unpleasant and rude to me. I did not care for her tone with me and felt that she was very hostile. I do not know about you, but when I pay good money for a hotel room I do not appreciate being treated as an imbecile. If the people that work at Mercure hate people, perhaps they should not be working in customer service. I had problems with the Wi Fi as well.
A very comfortable location; a nice environment and neighbourhood. It would be good to have an electronic teapot in a room.
very convenience as hotel is located right in front of the station. we could hear the conversation in the next room! although there were a shower curtain, there were no bathtab nor separated from the floor so after using, the floor was soaked with water!
Location brilliant and staff very friendly and helpful. I was disappointed on the size of the room. For the price and the way it was shown in the photos online I thought it would be bigger than it was.
location very basic, no air-conditioning, no fridges in rooms
I am safisfied with the hotel. Everythings was OK, excluding the price. The rate was high.
That it is near the railway station The decor of the lobby.Looks sloppy.Reception staff was courteous but lacked warmth.
The location ! In front of the train station, close to the city center ... Perfect :)
The location was excellent. The room was too basic for the price and the TV channels wewr very limited. Breakfast could have been better as well.
Clean, good value - no particular frills but just the job for a short stay in Strasbourg
Everything was all set. A city book pass was provided that was very useful. Having WFI was very good - I needed to use i.
Good location, friendly staff. The drain in the basin is not working properly, very slow.
Nice, cosy and close to the railway station
Unfortunately, I came away with fleas which must have been hiding in the pillow of the bed and was badly attacked and discomforted by the experience.
The location is good and it is clean and tidy. No. Basically, everything is okay.
good location, nice staff, quiet rooms
Location Asked for a double bed was given 2 singles. Car park was 10 minutes walk away and Items in the room were not replaced daily
Location, location, location
The room was clea. There is a good, free access to Wi-Fi. Apart from that the loction is really convenient.
The location was pretty convenient because we could walk to everything we wanted to see and do. The rooms were extremely small. We brought our pack and play for our 1 year old, and had to switch rooms because the room was too small to fit the pack and play in it. They also say that parking is available, but the parking is 3 blocks away.
Sentralt i forhold til jernbanestasjonen. Dårlig standard på rom og bad. Lite rom, liten seng, dårlig oppusset bad. Skulle kun sove der en natt for så å reise videre, betydde derfor ikke så mye. Rommet var billig (uten frokost). Mulig at hotellet har bedre rom til en høyere pris?
This is an excellent family hotel with great service, nice people and a truly wonderful dining room. Top value for money. there was nothing that we did not ike.
The hotel was close to petit france area, so very convenient for visiting the christmas markets. Hotel staffs were very nice and welcoming. The building and the room needs a bit of renovation. They are so old and lack sense of clenliness although I could tell that the cleaning is done properly. Tough the price is not that expensive, I still thought it doesn't worth the money..
friendly staff, spacious room, good location the hotel-restaurant has no longer restaurant and that should be posted in the announce
wonderful staff, great English, very helpful. Stairs would make it impossible for handicapped, made carrying the bags a slight problem.
The restrautant was closed at dinner time.
Staff were pleasant. Good location
Comfortable and well managed hotel. Rooms a bit shabby but clean. Good location near train station and tram.
Convenient to both train station & sightseeing: adequent for stopover stay
It's a cosy place with a friendly personnel ,in avery convenient spot A little touch of rennovation in the interior (corridors etc) and a lot at exterior.
situation close to the main station the room is very small
The hotel is conveniently located closed to the railway station and the city centre. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
good location just outside the central station, big rooms internet was broken when we were there and they didn't do anything about it they just said " we don't know"
The hotel staff was very polite and excellent. Nothing
friendly welcome and location No
Location is very good. The staf in the reception is very kind. We didn't have any problem. The room was a little bit small and bathroom too.
very clean. Good location
Very nice, friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent. The mattress sagged. Also, street noise was constant. (Not the hotel's fault. Our windows were open.)
Close to city center and station. Good heating, hot water, clean. Nice receptionist. Parking discount (7Eur per day) Pretty small room and bathroom.
The hotel is very close to the train station and tram station, so it's quite convenient to go to downtown and sight spot!
It was clean. Old hotel, TV now working...
Location, very helpful and kind staff, price TV cahnnels all were in French
In front of Train station and hotel was clean. Receptionist is not always there.
The hotel is very close to the train station with reasonable prices.
Close to the station, good beds. Lots of low, wooden beams in my room, I kept hitting my head. Also, as soon as I closed my window, I would smell the smoke drifting up from the bar, even on the 5th floor. The bathroom was tiny and not very clean (and the toilet seat fell off on the first evening).
the internet they need somebody that speaks english well
Perfect Location ..just 4 mins walk from Gare de strasbourg station. Hotel is busy throught out day n night so no problem in check in as we arrived around 1:30 am in night. Room was very clean . all basic amenities provided. Nice bathroom . hotel staff spoke good english and were helpful. Breakfast could have been better. We payed 8 euros per head just for 2 croissants. No bread to toast also . may be its just french culture b/c we faced the same issue in Paris.
Cheap hotel near central station. Sometimes a little bit noisy because of other guests.
It is easy to access from the Rail Station and only 5 minutes from the centre of Strasbourg and Petite France and a huge variety of food shops and cafes and other shops in the vicinity The hotel is popular with young people and school groups and at times was quite noisy but this did not disturb my sleep. I could not access the free wireless with my Mac and the staff could not help with passwords or advice.
The location of hotel is excellent, the price is very good. A good place for accomodation for people, who are staying in the city for a short time, who arrive late night.
everything is OK
The location. The rooms were musty smelling. The sidewalks around the hotel were under construction. THe hallways were dark.
Hotel was classically old and once would have been a very grand place. Lift is beautiful and the view from Rm86 is fabulous. Staff very accommodating and friendly. Rm86 needs an overhaul. Still with, likely, the original tub bath and no shower although sink/basin are new. Other rooms appeared to have been upgraded. But very clean and view was worth it.
The hotel is conveniently near the station. We spent in comfort at an affordable price.
Excellent value and clean hotel opposite the train station, with a nice old fashion atmosphere but renovated rooms
Close proximity to the city center and railway station You cannot use any of your own electrical equipment (such as hairdryer or battery charger) as the network cannot take this wattage and switches off immediately...
The hotel staff was very helpful and most everyone spoke some English. The room was niced size and was well kept as it is an old hotel. They have tried to update. We had a wonderful room and the children had a room to themselves with twin beds and found it fine as well. Breakfast was a typical European style breakfast with bread, cereal, some fruit and jam. There could have been more of a selection however. The hotel was very quiet and very well placed. We did not drive and came from the train and it was so easy. Our train left very late in the evening of the day we checked out and they kept our luggage for us all day which was a great plus. We would stay here again if we were to visit Strasbourg.
decoration of rooms some problems due to non working things in the toilet.
Right across the street from the train station, within easy walking distance to the main tourist areas. No working electrical outlets, only one station on TV, walls are a bit thin.
The staff was family-like in greeting us like guests making sure we were comfortable. We will go back to this hotel the next time we're in Strasbourbg.
No Internet. To look your mail, you must buy an hour at least for 5 euros.
