Ulemper: Rooms could use a makeover. Minor details but the bathrooms are somewhat dated. Light switches are meters away from bedside and the dark wood floors give the decor a cold aspect. Again this is only a minor detail but the television in the room was barely 30cms across.

Fordeler: Pillows shower breakfast

Ulemper: Dogs barking near the pool from morning constantly meant you could not use it so we had to leave the hotel and use the beach. Very poor service from manager regarding this major issue with noise which was raised on first day, it was just passed off. Front desk staff actually cursed (f word) during conversation and basically just passed it off when we brought it up again when checking out. "Double bed" actually two single beds put together with a poor cover thus it never seemed like a double bed just 2 singles together. Lots of noise from cutlery and contstant juicing machine outside from 7.30 am woke me up due to proximity to rooms. Juice blender which sounded like a leaf blower at breakfast outside thus eating outside was impossible. Overall i would not recommend this hotel if you value good management and peace as a good hotel never mind a 5* should provide.

Fordeler: The hotel is located next to the city center, nicely beside a botanic garden. Restaurants and shops are easy to discover within 10 minutes by walking. The facilities of the Grand Mencey are really great - very nice gym, outside pool, inside pool (additional fee), garden and bars. Totally recommend the breakfast!!! Great selection of everything you can imagine.

Ulemper: Garden rooms are great - city view also ok, even if a little bit more noisy.

Ulemper: Room was clean but lacked some amentities (no robe and no slippers).

Fordeler: Hotel was comfortable good value for money. Breakfast was good and the staff very welcoming

Ulemper: I had a club room in what should have been a quiet part of the hotel. Unfortunately the promised club lounge access was essentially not available during my stay. Instead the area was given over to a film crew with some noise penetration. This also presumably meant that promised food items were not freshened. Part way through my key stopped working and needed to be reset. On final day there was early morning drilling and banging from above the room. Laundry item should have been charged at the 20 per cent discount rate appropriate to the grade of the room but this was not applied. Was offered free breakfast rather than any refund but had to get my plane so not much of an offer. The hotel itself seemed clean and well run and the staff pleasant so I may just have been unlucky. Sadly I do not feel I got what I paid for.

Fordeler: Always consistent, great hotel with great staff. Nothing is a problem here. Smoked salmon and cava every day for breakfast followed by fruits and pastries.

Ulemper: A couple of minor issues with the room, window not opening etc. Not a problem though.

Fordeler: The location was excellent and car parking on site was a bonus. The room was spacious, with a king size bed, excellent bathroom and modern lighting. Good quality bath robes and slippers were provided. Reception staff were very helpful and there is a taxi stop directly outside the hotel

Ulemper: There was some noise from the road in this room which overlooked the road. The breakfast service was chaotic and staff could not keep up with the demand. Furthermore the selection of food was poorer than most similar hotels.

Fordeler: Clean and location

Ulemper: Super noice room!! I couldn’t sleep all night because it was like somebody was moving furniture over me all night. Horrible stay and for sure I am not coming back.

Fordeler: Utmerket hotell mtp tidlig avreise fra Tenerife syd flyplass. Det er nemlig bare et par hundre meter til busstasjonen hvor det går busser hver halvtime. Rommet bra, og godt lydisolert mot trafikkert gate.

Fordeler: 10 poeng ! 1. Rask og vennlig service i 1 linje resepsjon (og velstelt hotellrom) inkl rettledning med å finne veien til inngang parkeringskjeller) 2. Lynklar rettledning om aktuell restaurant / restaurantområde med en rekke restauranter (inkl El lateral 27 i gamlebyen som ga oss en uforglemmelig middag med lokal fisk og rikelig med vann og vin !)

Ulemper: Heisen knirket litt (lengst nede mot 1 et ?)…….men fantastisk utsikt underveis opp og ned.

Fordeler: Sentral beliggenhet. God standard.

Ulemper: De kunne ha byttet ut kaker med litt større utvalg av pålegg på frokosten.

Fordeler: Big comfortable bed. Great breakfast. The restaurant had great food and friendly staff. Clean room. Nice views from the roof top terrace over the city and mountains.

Ulemper: The restaurant/ breakfast room was a bit loud and noisy.

Fordeler: The room was large, comfortable with a wonderful view. Cleanliness, space and comfort were of primary concern and was more than adequate. I would definitely stay here again.

Ulemper: Finding the garage for parking was difficult.

Fordeler: God frukost, vennlig personale, spansk stemning, parkering :) Alt du trenger hvis du ikke må ha direkte tilknytting til en strand. En fin by med tradisjon kan jo også by på noe spennende og overraske en.

Ulemper: Jeg kan ikke komme på noe ubehagelig, men croissanter kunne ha vært varme :) eventuelt. Du må rekne med litt støy fordi beliggenheten er sentralt. Men det kan også være til fordel.

Fordeler: The room whilst a little tired in the bathroom, was spotlessly clean the location was excellent and a short walk to the main park we were upgraded to a suite with a large lounge area and terrace the pool looked clean and seating was in good order the beds where very comfortable and rooms and everthing we needed unlike some hotel rooms where you need to ask for things,

Ulemper: The breakfast area smelt damp and ideally they should have opened a window to let in fresh air as the area is underground Areas of the hotel could do with painting

Fordeler: Very central and close to all attractions. We were upgraded from junior suite to full suite at no additional cost. Big room, nice balcony. Very friendly staff.

Ulemper: Must use their parking (quite expensive) as none available in the streets nearby. Breakfast OK but somewhat limited in choice and the same everyday.

Fordeler: All the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.

Ulemper: Det var bare en god stol på rommet

Fordeler: Kjempehyggelig resepsjonist. Stort ankomst area i underetasje. Flotte hvite skinnsofaer, men ikke lov å sitte i disse hvis du drakk eller spiste. Da henvist til den lille bakenforliggende baren bak glassveggen hvor det var enkel bar, 4 hvite bord med 12 stoler. Utenfor i smal korridor, plass for røykere i friluft. Kun enkel servering fra bar området, innbød ikke til å sitte der om kvelden. Pen hage med svømmebasseng ca 14-15 gr C. Sjokk å bade der. Solen kommer i hagen kl 14, blir borte kl 16 på denne tiden. Utrolig støy fra tilstøtende motorvei. Men soverommet hadde doble glass skyvedører så det hjalp. Pent soverom med pent bad, fin veranda oversikt mot bassenget men alt i skyggen. Nær vakkert parkområde. 10-15 minutter ned mot sentrum, bakker med svak helling. Romservice ankom veldig sent på dagen, men alt perfekt. Frokost utprøvd 2 ganger, den var utmerket.

Ulemper: Årstiden gjorde at det kun var sol i hagen mellom 1400 og 1600. Ordet Rambla burde gitt meg hint om at her var det voldsomt støy døgnet rundt. Snakker for øvrig spansk. Utrolig at man ikke kunne sitte med drink aller mat ved bordene i det fine ankomst området, vi klaget over dette.

Fordeler: The bed was very comfortable. We liked the terrace and the view!

Ulemper: Breakfast choice was a little poor. Coffee would have been better. We arrived and didnt have the change to order from room service as it opened 8 pm.

Fordeler: The rooms were lovely and clean and the shower was really good. All staff were friendly and efficient.

Ulemper: Although we thought the restaurant opened at 8.00pm, it was actually only a few tables by the bar area that were available to eat. The food however was good as was the service.

Fordeler: All the staff were super friendly and attentive. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. Would happily stay again in the future.

Ulemper: Located out of the centre, up a hill. Only 10 mins walk so not a massive problem. May not suit everyone.

Fordeler: After a couple weeks of hostels, was nice to have a comfy bed to sleep in. Place was clean, and well taken care of. No issues with staying here, I would recommend it if you want to stay in the city for a couple of days. City Tour bus stops a block away, made it really easy to see the interesting tourist sites in Santa Cruz.

Ulemper: There was no parking on site like I had read when booking. Had to drive around a while to find somewhere to leave the car for a few days. The showers work quite well, however, the design makes it so that water goes everywhere, essentially turning the bathroom floor into an ice rink. A door, or even a curtain would help.

Ulemper: False advertising//posted pictures of swim pool are dishonest portrayal of what is really a small bathtub.

Fordeler: Staff were friendly and welcoming. Willing to help with any queries.

Ulemper: The food at the cafeteria was of poor quality

Fordeler: Great hotel at a good location in Santa Cruz. Abian from the front desk went the extra mile and made our stay very enjoyable by helping in every way. Would recommend the hotel for both biz and holiday guests anytime

Fordeler: It's a beautiful hotel, with very friendly staff and very nice decoration, they take care about every single detail, mostly in the common areas. When I arrived I got a room upgrade so that I didn't have to wait for my room. That's a nice warm welcome :) The rooftop terrace is awesome and the location is perfect!

Ulemper: It's not something I didn't like, but I was a bit perplexed that during a rainy day basically the gym was used as storage room for sunbeds... And I actually chose this hotel because it has a gym as I'm doing rehabilitation. The mats could be also replaced... The rooms are not so nicely decorated like the common areas but this is really a detail! I find 12€ for breakfast are way too much, as I normally have just fruits and yoghurt...

Ulemper: Only one elevator for a six storey building.

Fordeler: Very comfortable hotel in the centre of Santa Cruz. Staff were very friendly and helped me with a garage for my bicycle. Close to restaurants and bars, yet silent during the nights.

Fordeler: The hotel is close to the port, right in the centre of Santa Cruz. The receptionists were very helpful, they recommended a good car hire nearby and provided all the other information we needed. The room was comfortable and clean. We really enjoyed the breakfast, including excellent coffee.

Ulemper: There was a bit too much noise in the street (partygoers). Closing the window did not help much.

Fordeler: Size of room, breakfast, location

Ulemper: I especially requested a queen size bed and it was confirmed by mail. I'm 1.90m and my wife 1.65m. When we arrived the bed was a small "cama de matrimonio" 1.20 or 1.35 I did not measure it. At least too small for my wife and myself. We have been in various NH hotels from Alicante, Valencia, San Sebastian etc and were always very happy with the room and the bed. This one did not fit our needs nor requirements and we had a bad night

Fordeler: We arrived with a car and it was surprisingly easy as the hotel had their own garage for parking just behind the building. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good, nothing special.

Ulemper: Rooms were nice and clean; the only minus was early traffic noice as my window faced to street (on the first floor) and the window didn't shut properly.

Fordeler: overall just a fabulous stay and staff were super nice

Fordeler: All perfect. Reception even gave us umbrellas to use! A lovely stay thank you.

Ulemper: Only the short walk to the outside lift to go down to our tango event when it rained.

Fordeler: Evening meal (Half board menu) superb! Lovely red wine choice from Canary islands, service was excellent! All staff very helpful, and smiling.

Fordeler: Pretty good location, in city center next to park. Many restaurants in surrounding. Cleaning room, every day. Good internet. Great place for cycling.

Ulemper: Strange behave of waiter during breakfast. Waiter taking my plate while walking to table to get some more food, then coming back to table, on which plate was already gone. Seemed to not like guests taking long breakfasts... Changing towels every day in spite of they were not laying on the floor as it is described in conditions. Wasting energy and time... Room with window on another apartments windows, very dark room- at 8:00 there was completely dark in spite of sun has been raising.

Fordeler: Very good breakfast. Central location near old town. The receptionist was very helpful and put himself out to provide information and make arrangements for us. room was quite big and clean. cleaning staff efficient. place was relatively expensive at around 70 euros a night but overall the price quality balance was quite reasonable.

Ulemper: all was good or very good. One minor suggestion would be to provide a kettle in the rooms

Fordeler: Have stayed at Principe Paz a few times now. Just love the location. Easy access to bars, shops and restaurants. We will be back and look forward to our next visit to Santa Cruz.

Fordeler: The hotel is located on a pedestrian mall right across from a beautiful little park. Handy walking distance to primary downtown Santa Cruz attractions and surrounded by eating places. Clean and quiet hotel. Wonderful breakfast.

Ulemper: As with most if not all hotels in Santa Cruz they have no parking. The hotel offered to give directions to nearby parking but since you can’t park out front and there is no available parking on streets nearby we couldn’t stop to get directions. After driving around the hotel six times I finally found a parking garage so we parked there and walked three minutes to the hotel. Be aware that most parking garages don’t have overnight rates. We ended up paying €35 for less than 24 hours.

Fordeler: The hotel was near to all. The staff were very helpful and kind.

Fordeler: I would say normal hotel with good location.

Fordeler: Very nice over all. Fab rooms with lots of marble, nice breakfast, basically in center next to restaurants etc.

Ulemper: You cannot physically drive by car to hotel entrance to park and to drop your things (it is inside a pedestrian only square)- which took me a while to realise, and cost me a lot of time needlessly. Park in public garage nearby (costly overnight) or on street if you are lucky (and brave) enough to find a space. or book parking with hotel but only 6 spaces.

Ulemper: there were hairs, not mine in the pilot and the bed did not look recently ironed. so I think they just thought this bed has not been messy and they did not change the sheets. The staff was nice and changed us to another room at 2,30 in the middle of the night. But f course it was very bad experience I would have expected a great discount for a greater apology from the hotel

Fordeler: Thus was my third time staying at Principe Paz. They’ve been very consistent in these two years I’ve visited. They maintain the hotel very clean. The staff is awesome. I needed a 42 page document printed and they graciously accommodated such request with no questions. Breakfast could improve variety, but the taste is great!!! Love that place!!!!!

Ulemper: I can’t say I don’t like it, but it could benefit from having different things for breakfast every other day

Fordeler: Beautiful room with comfortable bed and large, powerful shower. We got upgraded to superior room with balcony, which was a real treat, as there are few rooms with balcony. Room service was very good and indeed all staff - reception, bar, restaurant - were very nice and helpful. The location is also great. It's ca. 10-15 minutes walk into town and right beside the hotel is a beautiful park to relax and enjoy the sunshine (or shade) :)

Ulemper: TV had only Spanish stations. Seemingly there was supposed to be Chromecast (newly installed), but unfortunately this did not work for us. I guess it will be fixed for the next guest. We only slept here, i.e. had not breakfast/dinner booked, which I think was a good choice.

Fordeler: It is incredibly difficult to find a comfortable family room, but this hotel exceeded our expectations. The two rooms connected were fabulous and spacious. Really comfortable beds and pillows in a quiet area made a wonderful night sleep. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful with our queries and went the extra mile to give us a superb service. Bravo!

Fordeler: We have stayed in the hotel several times and always enjoy it. Superior room good value and very quiet. Good breakfast and quick walk to centre. Room very comfortable and good bathroom with shower nice and hot.

Fordeler: Everything was good. As pension or hostel should be. Location is ok and stuff was friendly and helpful.

Ulemper: Location from the city center was a little bit far. But if you are a walker than it's fun to walk down and up hill.

Fordeler: Good location with easy access to public transport into centre and to La Laguna. Basic coffee and toast breakfast for €2 available in ground floor café where lunch & dinner also available at very reasonable price.

Ulemper: Bedside lights both not working & reported to owner but not fixed. This is my only complaint.

Fordeler: Very warm welcome, host was very friendly with good English. My twin room was really spacious. Super location, close to bus and tram. Very clean. Cafe downstairs for breakfast through to dinner. Strong WiFi (once I had the right password, ask at reception). Three really good night's sleep, thanks for everything

Ulemper: Far from the main attractions but there is a bus and tram station near by.

Fordeler: 1. Friendly staff (cleaner ant hotel administrator). 2. Next to tramway, so its easy to travel around. 3. There is a coffee, shops near hotel. 4. Every day you get new towel, clean sheets and the whole room cleaned. Really good cleaner!

Ulemper: 1. You can hear everything in the street and what other people talking in next rooms. T.y sound insulation is the wors i ever experienced in hotel room. You wont get sleep till 23.00-24.00, after that its usually queit.

Fordeler: The bathroom was very spacious and clean. Also the beds were quite comfy

Ulemper: Walls are very thin, airco didn't work, a lot of noise from outside (as in airco rumbling noise) so yeah.. We didn't have a lot of night rest basically

Fordeler: Great location if you are coming in on a ferry or cruise boat.

Ulemper: Fekk rom som vendte inn i ein bakgård. Når eg tok bestillinga, stod det med utsikt. Romma var små og badeartiklane var ikkje av god kvalitet.

Fordeler: The location was easy to find. Beds, matress, towels, pillows, and closets in excelent conditios. Very pleased with the personnel and their wish to please. We are very happy with their attention and will to pease. We are certainly going to visit again and recomend to our friends.

Ulemper: There is nothing we can think of not liking, very pleased with everything.

Fordeler: Excellent location, stores, cafeterias and locales in close proximity! Staff helpful, reliable, friendly! Clean rooms, comfortable beds, clean linen and towels on a daily basis. Fordeler: Our stay in hotel Nautico was for 6 nights and we were satisfied with the comfort of the our room, with the hotel staff (with their basic knowledge of English language but they were very friendly and it was not a problem to make basic conversation) and with the distance to the city center (10-12 minutes by walk) and to the Playa Teresitas (7-10 minutes by bus). Highly recommended place.

Fordeler: The room was well equiped, with air conditioning, fridge and the bathroom was nice and clean.

Ulemper: It was a little bit noisy sometimes and there was a weird smell coming from air conditioning.

Fordeler: We only needed to stay one night and this hotel was perfect for that. Liked having a balcony. The beds were very comfortable and having a mini fridge in the room was a great! Everything was nice and clean in the room. The vending machine on the ground floor was just good value for money. There was a really well stocked supermarket nearby with fresh produce on offer. A little further down the road was an excellent bakery

Ulemper: The location was ok but I thought we would have easier access to the cruise terminal to board a P&O ship due to the pictures showing a ship docked close by. It cost 10 euros in a taxi to reach it - not the end of the world

Fordeler: Simple hotel, located on the first 2 floors of a massive condo (typical Spanish style), in a nice area just 5/10 minutes outside the city center. 24 hours reception with cordial staff. I got a backside room, which was quiet. Common spaces and room -even were nothing special- were clean, and furniture almost new. In general, this hotel is an "Ok" option for 1/2 days transit in Santa Cruz, not for holiday purpose. It is without any expectation but still it is a good value for money.

Ulemper: On my opinion the room is too small, and the toilet too. No window and no bidet in the toilet. There is no possibility to have breakfast in the hotel.

Fordeler: Easy parking and pleasant walk along the Rambla to the city centre.

Ulemper: Needs an iron and ironing board and tea and coffee making facilities.

Fordeler: Nice location, nice staff,

Ulemper: Sheets on first night were dirty, bottom sheet changed next day, top sheet with snot on it not changed until 3days later. No air conditioning. No fridge or kettle in room. Door entry looked as if it had been forced open and never repaired

Fordeler: Beds comfy...clean...friendly reception....location excellent

Ulemper: Cleaning ladies make alot of noise in corridors in mornin....

Fordeler: Beliggenhet midt i sentrum av Santa Cruz. Stor balkong. Jeg savnet leselampe, men det ordnet hotellet med.

Ulemper: Hadde rom i etasjen under frokostsalen. Forferdelig støy fra kl.5 om morgenen når de begynte tilberedning av frokost.

Fordeler: The staff were very friendly, I had a great vacation. Gracias.

Ulemper: Before I left the hotel there was a power cut so I was unable to charge my phone or get boarding passes printed. It happens. Not to worry.

Ulemper: It was ideal in every way.

Fordeler: Good place - nice people.

Ulemper: Very little!

Fordeler: Good place and it's close to the center. Nice and clean rooms with good service. Variable breakfast with good pastry. Good ratio between price and gain if you want to travel around and discover not only the city.

Ulemper: The personal was very bad, a man with the Glasses, whom name I had forgotten, was not helpful and I can say that he was even very rude. We asked for help and he was very cheeky, that this is not the service that they provide and we should go to tourist center. Beds are so small that multiple times we almost fell down from them during the sleep.

Fordeler: Nothing very outdated.

Ulemper: Lan Internet no wifi

Fordeler: The hotel is located in a walking distance to the downtown area. The reception personnel were extremely helpful and friendly. The room and the bathroom were spacious and clean!

Ulemper: There is no Wi-Fi in the room, only on the first floor sitting area. They offer you a cable to use for a dial-up connection, however it is very outdated and doesn't work with most laptops. The walls are extremely thin, if you are a light sleeper, like me, get a ear-plugs or you'll be a part of everything your next door neighbors are up to! You can hear every single snore or use of the bathroom, no joke! No coffee maker in the room.

Fordeler: Superb cleanliness. Rooms very comfortable. Extremely helpful staff. No food but excellent cafe 2 doors away. Taxis available within seconds to go anywhere in the city for about €3.50.

Ulemper: Couldn't find any fault.

Fordeler: Nothing was good at all. Certainly a place I will NOT be returning to

Ulemper: Hotel very dated, dark. Lacking basic essentials ( HOT water for shower, shower tray that didnt overflow).

Fordeler: Excellent location, great day time desk clerk.

Ulemper: Night desk clerk couldn't speak English. WiFi was OK but only available in 1st floor lounge. Nice little next door cafe for breakfast.

Fordeler: Very close to the bus station.

Ulemper: Generally ran down and in need of major refurbishment. The room stank of old people's house. There was also a lingering toilet smell near one of the beds, perhaps a draft from the room next door. Very noisy at night, you can hear everything they say outside or in the adjacent rooms. The bed wasn't particularly comfortable.

Fordeler: I had coffee next door/ It was fine/

Ulemper: The lights in the srairway

Fordeler: Breakfest! I really liked breakfest and breakfest location- 8th floor, the view was amazing! Location was nice- near to promenade, shops, cenrral walking streets. We stay here for one night before going to airport- perfect for this aim.

Ulemper: Problem with parking our car, closest free place was aprox 15 min away. There was one or two sockets- for tv and fridge, so it was not so comfortable to charge phone or pc. A bit noisy from street- but tipical for street like that.

Fordeler: roof terrace for breakfast and eveing relax good

Ulemper: This hotel is in a very poor condition. Breakfast awful.

Ulemper: Too basic breakfast, no selection, no cereals, musli, cheese or fruit option. Not possible to connect to the internet.

Fordeler: Simple hotel in the center of Santa Cruz, great value for money. Good breakfast included. Common facilities style is nice. Room was small but okay. Can get some noise from the walking way in the night, but can choose a room on the backside. Top floor terrace is very nice, and we enjoyed the breakfast time there

On the other hand, on the back side room I got noise from the top floor terrace Some rooms a a little bit too small and facilities looks a little dated. Anyhow, considering the location and the low rate, I think is one of the best option in Santa Cruz
