Hotel needs to be re-done completely. Old and worn carpets, linen, ...I had a club sandwich on sundaynight which was not fresh at all, even to a point disgusting (did not eat it). Hotel gives a sad impression. Will definitely not stay there anymore. Felt repiied-off.
This hotel has some serious issues to sort out regarding overbooking rooms. After 22 hours of travel from Lisbon, I arrived at 1:30am to find they had completely disregarded my reservation and given away the last room. This, despite the fact that I rang them from Lisbon two days prior to let them know I would be arriving late. While the night desk man did his best to find alternate arrangements for me, it was a truly horrid start to my trip and I will never stay at a Novotel Hotel again. Very dowdy room with badly stained carpet and a wonky TV. Also, very frustrating to have to ask daily for a new internet username and password. Boo!!!
location, overall quality, best value-for-money in Porto Alegre. a bit old.
The condoms in the room, branded with the hotel logo, were an unusual touch! Made us wonder if we had booked into a `rent by the hour`place!
good location, nice little local bar next door, friendly staff in hotel and helpfull. happy to keep our luggage safe beyond our stay.
Perfect for our situation. Close to bus service and the marcado. Great staff, some English speakers. Free breakfast was outstanding, free reliable internet, 24 hour staff at door and desk and lovely public areas increased safety. Mostly business types. Good location for historic district daytime activities but not best location for malls or high end shopping. Great value for price.
The staff was very friendly, helpful, and accomodating. The breakfast area was beautiful, and the food was good. The room itself was rather basic, but it was clean.
The hotel is very well situated near the city center. Wireless internet connection free of charge is available in the whole hotel, including the rooms. Staff is very friendly and helpful. People with light sleep might be potentially disturbed by some noise (freezer, lift, outside noise), however this noise is not at all especially loud.
The staffs treat customs very well and nice, even their English are not good to communicate clearly. They didn't provide sampoo.
Localization, staff, The bathroon have smell , and the room have smell of fungi
Staff personel were very helpfull and nice
The staff are very professional and cheerful. the rate is high!
Central location very safe and a lot of restaurants in the neighborhood The place
Excellent location, next to a nice mall and many restaurants A bit pricey specially when they add a high surcharge to the published rate
Convienient to ap. Clean. Free shuttle from ap but you have no way to know. Paid for king, got queen sized bed. No coffee in room. If you didn't pay for breakfast they didn't want to give you coffee but another guest told us it was free. Stayed 2 days but had go back down the 2nd day as our keys wouldn't work. No free shuttle back to ap. Told us a snack was free between 4-6 am but when we arrived near 6, they said that they had already put it away and didn't even want to give us coffee. Would not stay here again.
The hotel was extremely well located and in a very safe neighborhood. The staff attempted to charge me a tax of 50,00 reais for a room for a couple because when I booked I clicked on "single occupancy" by accident even though when you book for a "couple" you don't pay any more money. Futhermore, I was without wifi for half of my trip which as an international traveler without a functioning cell phone is unacceptable since wifi is the only way i can communicate; also when the wifi was working it was EXTREMELY slow.
Once inside it is a beautiful hotel, very clean and well maintained. We didn't find the staff to be very tourist oriented, especially English speaking tourists. Due to the language barrier they were either unable or unwilling to be very accommodating. The location is in a run down area of the city, not a good area for pedestrians.
