the hotel is very good, ancient style, clean rooms, exotic environment.. the position of the hotel is bad. The maps.google.com does NOT show it properly, it is a symetric image mistake. You may have difficulties when tryig to find the hotel by yourself. you may NOT reach it if driving and trying many languages but not Turkish or Arabic.
Their Turkish balcony and the wonderful stone architecture and the helpful attitude of the staff İ booked a double room for 2 and got 3 single beds! Pushing 2 single beds together is not a double bed!
Conversion of the old house was very well done, wonderful terrace overlooking Mesopotamian Plain (although too hot to sit out and enjoy the spectacular view), our room had vaulted ceiling and windows on three sides, and was very comfortable. Convenient location. All the ingredients were there for this to be a memorable stay in a fabulous hotel, but it didn't quite come together to give this experience, it was lacking atmosphere and people. Location was good, but it was hard to find, luckily a couple of youngsters took us there through the market. Communication was a problem, the staff were not friendly or helpful, and for three days the breakfast was very poor. Only on the last day, when there were more guests, was the breakfast of a standard that I expect from a hotel of this calibre.
Great views across the plains and up to the castle. Room was large and comfortable. Staff were very helpful without swarming all over you. Not easy to find or get to ,or park, if touring with a rental car.
Great location, great facilities, friendly staff Staff do not speak basic English skills
