Location and rooms are great, good service except reception on desk because not transfer the information Two issues on reception desk 1) somebody drop off a package for me Thursday I asked to receptionist about my package he sent me two another desk they don't have, Friday morning asked again and they not have my package, but when I called to sender say left my package in reception Friday night time ask again nobody know. So I comeback to NY and not sure if Monday Hotel Return THE Package To THE sender. I not receive my important package. Poor communication
Too close to the airport. You can hear the plane in your room. Some of the staff in the lobby are not friendly. The breakfast buffet was good but the service was poor.
Good helpful staff. Restaurant prices on high side. WiFi fee $ 10 an aberration.
The pool is heated to the perfect temperature. The spa and fitness rooms have many extra amenities. The beds were clean and comfortable. The staff was excellent and professional. McDonald's is nearby if you want an easy meal. The airport shuttle was a great benefit. I had a peaceful stay.
Everyone was friendly and helpful. It doesn't always include free WiFi. Last time I stayed it was $10 extral.
Some of the staff seemed to be very uptight and not as friendly as one who expect out of a Barcelo establishment.
Convenient to the airport. Beds were a bit firm.
It was in a good neighborhood, was safe and similar luxury, amenities and service as expensive business hotels. The general location is good, but it is a block or two from the retail and restaurant area.
Great weather and nice people.
Good customer services, restaurants are good, love the breakfast buffet. Recommend!
A very nice hotel but the highlight of everything was how friendly the staff is at all moments. Thanks for everything and continue with the great customer service. I think a few more signs in the parking lot directing you to the elevators of the hotel will help a bit but other than that everything was good.
I loved the room, the restaurants and the overall area. Staff was helpful and always providing more than enough information. Great, great service. I'm staying there again every time I travel to Guatemala. Getting there with traffic can be a hassle...
The rooms were spacious and the pool was huge. The location of the hotel is great! It is very central to shopping and restaurants. We will definitely return. The waiting time for us to check into our room was lengthy; but, there was a karate convention that weekend, which was held at or right next to the hotel, so they were quite busy. Our reservation was for our choice of either a king bed and sofa bed, or for two double beds. We chose two double beds but they did not have a room to accommodate us; instead we stayed in a room with a king and no sofa bed. We were upset but they did bring in a comfortable rollaway bed- so it turned out very well. For the price, I feel breakfast should have been included.
Really nice hotel! Customer service amazing!!
Grand Tikal Futura is a beautiful hotel, and though more expensive than most hotels in Guatemala, very worth it. I was treated well during my stay and offered assistance with anything I needed. The room was immaculately clean and the beds were firm, though comfortable. Thank you. We did dine in the restaurant on the second floor and were overcharged for a salad we didn't order or eat. When I brought it up with the server (in Spanish), he kept apologizing, but didn't seem to want to correct it until I persisted (we had accidentally already paid him in Quetzales). I do hope the managers allow for some human error, which all servers experience from time-to-time.
The food was good, the problem was I was on business trip and the kitchen isn't 24 hours. The hotel is in dire need of renovation.
Hotel was clean and quiet. Breakfast wasn't included with my reservation and it also wasn't worth the price. There's a way better and cheaper restaurant right next door.
The hotel rooms are excellent, very spacious. The hotel is very well located and the staff is very friendly.
great location, very Clean, great people, and service Gym needs a makeover. Restaurant is over price and the shuttle service should be free.
Very convenient. Close to the airport. Great shuttle service Beds. Could be a little cleaner.
Nice place. Close to the airpor. My bed was terrible.
The lobby, and bathroom was beautiful. I wasn't able to reach the front desk overnight.
Cleanliness and overall luxury and value.
After 9 days in the jungle heat and monsoon rains, arriving at the hotel was like heaven! Great staff, great showers, flush toilets. Pricey dining. Few bilingual staff in main restaurant.
Everyone was ready to help Weather, rain alot
Hotel conveniently located near airport after a long day of flying. Great restaurants nearby too! Hotel amenities great as well as their gym facilities. Breakfaat delicious with home made juices! Staff all very friendly and helpful. The concierge was very helpufl in finding us local transportation. I honestly cannot say anything negative. Way to go InterContinenetal Real Guatemala!
Newer rooms, such as those on the 18th floor with no carpet, great views and excellent beds. Plus the staff is very likable and helpful. Their complimentary airport shuttle is great, I accompanied my wife to her 1am flight and the driver returned after she was checked in to take me back to the hotel. I didn't even have to ask, he offered ti do as soon as he heard what our plans were. The rooms with carpeting (sorry, even newer carpeting is gross). They also have some rooms with no view at all, in fact we were initially given a room for an earlier stay that had all the exterior glass frosted, so you could see NOTHING. We asked for a different room (on 18) which they happily provided. - I suggest asking for the 18th floor when you make your reservation. They are currently remodeling, so I'm hoping that they upgrade all the rooms to the (simulated) wood flooring they have on 18 and get rid of the tired carpet.
It was not well kept, our room was outdated
very comfortable and clean. Very nice place to stay in Guate.
They claim the beds are queen, but I'm sure they are smaller.
The staff, specially Ingrid at the front desk, made sure my stay was very comfortable. Kudos to the management.
The costumer serviles is not good
Great value hotel at the Zona Viva Loud music around hotel on weekends
good hotel size so is comfortable good breakfast good bed good room service Noisy AC unit Too expensive internet, no too fast, not too stable No charging stations No interactive TV
Easy access and well located. Charge for Internet.....It should be included.
The staff was very courteous and polite. The hotel is going through a major remodeling which is not communicated. There is literally construction noise from 7am to 7PM. Additionally, there seems to be a problem with the showers where it goes from hot water to boiling hot water.
Very clean and quiet. Shuttle to airport leaves early and is very convienant. Hotel was under renovations. No snack shop. No vending machines. Swimming pool was closed. Unless you wanted to eat in the hotel restaurant everything you needed you have to leave the hotel. Leaving is ok in the daytime but most suggested that after dark it's safer to stay inside the hotel. If you go out don't have anything in your hands. ie phone, camera, purse. We were very disappointed that when we checked in as a couple we were given a room with two dbl beds instead of a room with one bed. Room was cramped and since we spent so much time in our room it would have been nice to sit and watch tv and not always have to sit on the bed. View from window was a nasty look at what must be the maintance area with hot water heaters. The hotel didn't seem anywhere near full so we were disappointed with our room with no view and two beds when I'm pretty sure nicer rooms were available.
Staff was excellent and very helpful. Rooms were very comfortable and kept clean. All appliances were working. Remodeling going and construction was being noisy in the morning. Other than that it was a great experience.
