Localization and fair price per accomodations. Have complimentary breakfast. They could not identify my reservation when I arrived. The attendant told me the manager was going to contact booking.com to clarify this situation. I am affraid they could double charge my credit card, since I have payied that by booking.com site!
Hotel had everything I needed (decent free breakast, free internet, fridge, good shower, location 10 minutes easy walk from the Dogfish Alehouse - the reason I chose the hotel in the first place...).
the price was good, and thats about it. the motel was dirty and a bit ackward. the room itself was ditry, to include the towles and there was a few bugs that were pesent when we arrived. I would bring my own towels, and such.
Having an outdoor pool was nice for relaxing after a day of museums and walking. There were extra towels available at the pool also. The shower didn't have much water pressure.
Proximity to washington Hallways needed cleaning
Location to everything
We were glad to find a hotel close to the family that was reasonable and comfortable. People next to us were noisy until late at night (midnight) on both of the two nights we stayed.
staff are friendly and very helpful. It's very affordable compare to others in the area. n/a
the poorest services i ever had for a hotel, it was a dump, i check in and out the same day within minutes. i will never in a comfort inn ever.
It was a good price although cross to Washington D.C. It was'nt a refgirator in the room.
Great price for last minute booking. Place had a good pool, spa, workout room. It was all sufficient for our needs. The room was just a little small. We had a pack n play for our baby to sleep in so it made it a little cramped but for just one or two people it's perfect. It's not walking distance from anything but safe. The hotel wasn't "wow" but it was just enough and totally worth the inexpensive booking.
clean, attractive accommodations. free parking. great brunch buffet on weekend. swimming (indoor) pool was cold and an overbearing lifeguard. first night stayed on a floor with dozens of teenagers on a school trip, chaperones in the hall did a reasonable job with noise control but it was not zero.
Great location and well kept hotel. Staff was very friendly and there was ample complimentary parking. The room could have been equipped with a safe and a mini-fridge.
I was well located and they stay was relaxing. Close enough, but far enough away no free internet, couldn´t locate my Marriott info.
Great place to stay. Hotel was beautiful and staff was friendly and very professional. We got a Pure room which had a air purification system in the room which was wonderful. Would go back again.
The room was spacious and clean. The staff were friendly, and it was close to our conference. The price was good. This is the 2nd time I've stayed at a Marriott recently and woken up in pain. Apparently my neck can't handle their mattresses and pillows - both of which are dense. Maybe wouldn't be a problem for another person. Also, I found it REALLY strange and inconvenient that this location offered free WiFi ONLY in their lobby. They were happy for me to pay $15 to have it for one night in my room, but I would rather use my cell data at that rate. This would be my #1 complaint. For a "full service" hotel with room service and an in-house bar, it's very strange and awfully greedy to charge for a few hours of WiFi.
The staff, rooms, location, view, and everything else was absolutely wonderful. The beds were super comfortable, there was no noise at night, the other guests who stayed there were reserved, the hotel was clean..everything about this hotel is wonderful and I would definitely stay again.
Most ammenities were within walking distance, breakdast was very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A wider selection of beverages would have been nice; this was not a serious concern.
The staff was fantastic. The room was clean. Made for a wonderful weekend.
Front service/check in could be more friendly. Hotel is more a business hotel.
Good burger from room service. I requested an ice delivery because there was not a bucket I could find in the room. I had to call back twice and they brought me a bowl of ice which was cumbersome. Also the mini fridge didn't keep things cool and you could not turn the temp down. My room was unfortunately near a room with small children that were very loud very early in the morning.
I've stayed multiple times at this location. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean, and the hotel is in a great location. I will definitely be back
Remodeled with new furniture. Having to pay for parking. I've stayed here before and never had to pay for parking. Tv remote didn't work.
Everything I didn't like the shout and loud noises coming from the hall ways and neighboring family.
Good location and friendly staff clean room
Convenient to Tysons Corner Mall and many restaurants. Staff was very friendly. Pay for parking and Wifi during the week. Breakfast was too pricy. More of a business hotel than a family hotel.
The room was nice. The beds were clean and comfortable. The ppl in room 236 were extremely RUDE and loud. I banged on the adjoining door around 10 as their phone conversation was very loud. And then sometime after 1am, it was some girl erotically screaming for the next 5 hours!! My 16yr old and 13yr old daughters were with me and it woke up my oldest.
The bar and staff were great. We were misinformed about the shuttle had to take the public bus to get there. The hotel did not have our reservation from kayak when we got there, the was enormous cockroach in our room, we got locked inside our room and had to have engineering let us out and our toilet handle broke, so over all not a great experience.
Extremely comfortable beds. Great showers, including "rain-like" generating shower heads. Dual shower head system. Starbucks coffee in-suite. Limited parking in front of hotel.
Great deal on the room! No carts to help get your stuff from the car to the room! Crazy..
I liked the easy check-in. Checked in onlinel and was asked the expected time of arrival and desired room accomodations. Request for a quiet room was granted!! Upon our arrival, the front desk staff was very professional and helpful. My daughter and I absolutely loved it. Thank you, Maria Ortega Can't say anything negative about my stay.
I''m so glad, we where so lucky to find this place! across from the mall, is so close to take the train, that you can walk to it. but! no need for that, they have a shuttle that take you there, and pick you up. amazing! people working there. they are all very friendly. beautiful rooms that make you feel like you are in a home, beautiful terrace and pool. and the best! of course is the hot breakfast! one word. AMAZING! I have Nothing to complain about!
Affordable accommodation with good access to Washington DC
Room was beautiful; shower was luxurious Room too dark; should NOT try to charge for WIFI-- that is basic need today; when I complained, it was compted; breakfast buffet was delicious but should be included
This hotel is a great value. I was suprised to find a Hilton in the price range for my weekend trip. For longer stays I would pick a Hilton or Wyndham type place but for busy weekends I typically go for a cheaper chain (super 8 even). My room was a bit out dated, but personally that doesn't bother me, I'm in DC for other things not to judge my furniture. It was clean, the staff was helpful and nice. I'm not sure why it has gotten some low reviews. Hilton Honors is free SIGN UP!!! I got free wifi ($10/night) and free parking ($17/night) for taking 2 minutes of my time after I booked. If you expect freshly renovated high end rooms, this may be a little bit of a let down to you, but if you want room on a budget this is a perfect option. The only thing I was missing in my room was a microwave, if I was staying longer than 2 nights I probably would have missed that, but I never asked I may have been able to get one. There is a laundry service however there is no onsite do it yourself laundry.
Friendly staff Hallways smelled funny.
Close to metro and public parking, and a so-so mall is nearby. Internet not included with stay, extra fee for that. What is this, 2005? Bathroom ceiling was a mess and small, not really up to 3 star status.
I liked the bathroom and breakfast I got the executive suite with king size bed. The mattress was not comfortable , pillows were ok. the rug in my suite was old and the room didn't have life , I couldn't relax. You almost have to talk in whispers . You can hear people talking and walking.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location was convenient & allowed me to walk to my meetings daily.
Nice staff clean room. Privacy.
Friendly staff. Places within walking distance. Staff made great suggestions. Clearly they're well trained. No breakfast & no free wifi. I've certainly stayed places for less money that have offered both.
we stayed with our kids and it was very comfortable .The staff was also kind and helpful. no
The room was furnished beautifully and the location was very nice - there are a lot of places to visit around the hotel itself, and it's immediately above the Ballston metro stop so it's easy to get to the city. The front desk staff were rude and didn't listen to the simplest of requests; the two times we had to interact with them, it was apparent we were an inconvenience. We were woken up both mornings by housekeeping standing in the room connected to ours chatting away as well as in the hallway yelling to one another at 7:30am. After a very long drive to Arlington, we needed rest and certainly didn't get it. The room itself had trash from the previous guests still, and the faucet nozzles were broken, making it difficult to use the faucet itself.
Very clean Awesome staff Valet drove cars a little fast.
Love the pleasant, professional staff, cleanliness of the hotel from the front door throughout. I will return to Westin Arlington Gateway South Carolina visitor No complaints
Very clean. Quick check in process. The employees were great?
Nothing. They overbooked the hotel and I was moved to one much further away. I had a very bad experience. I arrived at around 6 PM and was told that due to their renovation, my room was damaged and so I would be moved to a hotel "15 minutes" away. The alternative hotel was 30 minutes away without traffic, and it took an hour in rush hour the next morning to get into DC. Plus, the alternative hotel was less expensive, but they didn't refund the difference. Really disappointed.
The staff was very professional and my room was veryclean and comfortable! Walls were a little thin and I wish the pool was open longer.
Staff was very helpful and friendly; liked the fact that hotel is pet friendly - even had a water bowl at the front entrance for pets waiting while cars were unloaded. Square "rainwater" shower looks nice, but gives too little water pressure. Valet parking service wasn't very fast retrieving cars - looked a little understaffed.
Pets were allowed ... Not cool!
The room was great, spacious and clean.
Amazing staff, very nice and extremely helpful. Anything I needed they were there to assist. Location had restaurants in walking distance and drive to DC to sight see was mere minutes away. The bar located down stairs was tasteful and quiet. Overall amazing stay.
Lovedthe room. Nice location. Loved the apple cider and free Starbucks in the lobby. Will stay again.
Very clean and nice room. Great customer service and the staff was very helpful with anything I needed. Would definitely stay there again!
Great location, friendly staff, comfortable beds. Air conditioner functioned very poorly, workout equipment was outdated, bathroom/shower was outdated. Way too expensive for such an outdated facility.
The hotel in a very nice location and the room very comfort. they give to me Room No 403 we can't sleep because of the noise of the air-condations from out side. and the hotel staff are not frindly
Service was excellent They changed me an extra 200 dollars when I checked into the hotel, despite prepaying on Kayak
Location. Easy walk to many attractions as well as to my business destination.
Courteous behaviour of the front office staff
The hotel was very clean and very conveniet. A close walk to the Matro. The Staff was wonderful and helpful. We also appreciated the continental breakfast. It was a great way to start off our day. When we return to dc, we will definatly be going back to the Econo Lodge.
Excellent location, very near the East Falls Church metro station which is convenient to visit DC, and is also 1 stop from the West Falls Church station which is a good location for taking the Flyer bus to the Dulles airport for $10 Breakfast is a pretty cheap one. You'll probably be better going to DC for breakfast
Close to metro station, easy to access. Peaceful. It has free Internet - that 's a big bonus!
Close to Washington D.C. and the Metro. The rooms were very clean. Plasma TV's on the wall. Price was right and the staff very friendly. And the bed was very comfortable
Good Price and Good Connectivity for Metro None
great location near the Metro and reasonable compared to other hotels in the D.C. area. room was clean. the continental breakfast included wasn't that exciting, plus there weren't really any other businesses nearby within walking distance
Very close to the Metro station, very nice people, nice neighborhood, clean and comfortable. All good, halls could use upgrade, be sure to specifiy if you can't do stairs. Breakfast plenty but limited.
The hotel staff was helpful and courteous.
Close to Metro (10 minute walk) and quiet (at least on the first floor) and had wi-fi. Breakfast was very minimal. Only one restaurant within walking distance (which was nice but very expensive.) Reserved a single king bed, but got two twins.
The Metro station was a fairly easily walked distance from the motel along a paved bike path. There was no elevator.
Stort, komfortabelt rom med herlige senger. Rent og ordentlig. Hyggelig og hjelpsomt resepsjons-personale. Fin beliggenhet.
the front desk staff was very helpful and courteous. The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was wonderful.
I loved the room and the cleanliness...the comfort of the bed..overall great... the fact that there was no tub mat in the bathroom. Tub very slippery. as a business traveler my flight was late and when I got to the hotel there was no restaurant or room service.. on my floor there were not even vending machines to purchase soft drinks..
Very warm and welcoming front desk staff. Great location. Well appointed rooms and spacious Nothing comes to mind.
Friendly, helpful staff; great location, spacious room, well appointed and comfy. Overall good pic! Room too hot, useless thermostat, too much light at night. Bring a sleep mask
The hotel is very clean and well maintained. It is an old building with character. There didn't seem to be any dress code for the staff so I couldn't tell for sure who was working there or hanging out. Staff couldn't easily tell me where local restaurants were. I had to find them on my own. The air blowing into the room from the HVAC vent was loud. I would have expected this from a cheap hotel but I paid over $350 per night.
Good location. Friendly stuff. Ice machine wasn't working so wasn't iron. Valet parking only. Room was really small.
Nice room - king size bed slept great. I was very disappointed that there were no coffee pots in the room or complimentary cups offered in the lobby. However, I was informed that I could purchase a cup in their restaurant for $4.00. For the amount of money that I spent on the room, I really feel something as simple as a "complimentary" cup of coffee should have been included.
Spacious room located across the street from our conference The heat in the room was stuck on and the thermostat didn't do anything. Had to leave the windows open to be bearable in the room.
Comfy beds, decent size room in the junior suite. Nice quality towels and linens. Staff was pretty rude when we came back from seeing monuments. Bar tender was very rude when I went to take a call from my sitter and acted as if I was running out on the tab and refused my drink when I returned for no reason. The manager, I assume was very rude when we came in laughing (mind you, it was a bday party and gathering of veterans) In serious need of vending machines or at least bottles of water. The night staff was nice enough to bring up a cup.
Great location and accommodation . Personable staff. If I had to find a weakness it would be too very small elevators
Comfortable bed. Great location good water pressure in the shower The coffee maker didn't work well- the blower dryer was cracked very small bathroom Complimentary coffee in the lobby would have been a nice touch and a complimentary happy hour would be a nice touch
The Churchill was a delightful respite for this harried traveller. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly, the decor very pleasing, the room quite comfortable . All in all, my stay - though short- was very pleasant. I have no complaints.
The location is excellent, close to metro station and to a shopping center. The hotel is somehow basic in the facilities it provides.
I liked the location to Clarendon shopping and the closeness to a Metro stop. I also liked the key-operated elevator for safety.
Helpful front desk staff. Vera took care of our needs and guided us during our stay. Prices were high.
My husband and I stayed here while visiting Washington, DC. Hotel offers a free shuttle to the metro and any of the great restaurants and bars nearby (all of which are within walking distance also). Washington, DC was 15-20 minute ride by train. The hotel was clean, had a personable staff and a great breakfast place. Highly recommend it!!
Bed and pillows very comfortable. Air conditioning seemed to keep resetting to very warm and humid. The cards we had to use for door and elevator frequently malfunctioned. The price quoted on Kayak wasn't accurate. They charged many different rates and the average was much more than the kayak rate. Also quite expensive to park in lot but there were no other options. And when we added two days to our stay it was much higher rate on kayak and at the desk in spite of the hotel being largely empty.
the facility and room was alright the 14 dollar parking fee and the 35 dollar stupid held charge in case of accidents made me angry. I have stayed before at the holyday inn at different locations and I never for once was charged parking or had put 35 in case of anything.
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful wiht local information. The shuttle service to local shopping was very useful. The decor is aging a bit. The in-room AC was noisy.
Clean, friendly, comfortable beds Nothing I didn't like
Vaery good value for price. Great location, near Metro, to explore/do business in DC.
Everything! Nice location and clean!
location furnishings worn, toiletries pretty low scale.
location, cleannes, net access
Great location. Room was sufficiently comfortable and clean - with great pillows! Staff was friendly.
The size and cleanliness of the room and friendliness of the staff. There was no safe in the room.
The hotel was well located to the subway, and for the USMC marathon worked very well.
The staff was uniformly very polite and helpful. The rooms were clean. The restaurant staff were outstanding. The food quality for dinner was okay, but not great. The heater made a lot of clicking noises when it turned off.
I would have like it a lot more but I got bits on my lower legs So I think they had fleas or the maids didn't change the bedding and something, was in the bed, enjoying biting my legs Something biting my legs just felt like something crawling on my legs
Good secure location near metro, shopping and dining. Everything was fine.
Great safe location, close to Metro. Large clean and comfortable rooms at a great price.
The hotel is nice and clean. It's less than a 10 min drive from the monuments and downtown DC without traffic. The rooms are very comfortable and we slept very well. They have onsite parking for $18/night. Only thing is breakfast is not included and cost $14.99/per person. When we checked in the lady at the reception desk couldn't find our reservation and basically told us she can't help us and to call the third party we booked with. Thank goodness a manager came and found our reservation in less than a minute. She didn't even apologize, just basically looked at us like it was our fault.
The staff were all really warm and welcoming, and the room was huge and very clean. I loved having a fridge and microwave in the room as well. Everything was comfortable, except the mattress was extremely soft. Location was excellent, and we plan to book there again next time we are in DC! Mattress!
Within a short walk of the Metro. Staff was very friendly. Comfortable room.
Helpful staff, quiet location, parking space. Within walking distance of a number of restaurants.
Location Room was hot and thermostat had no effect. Wanted to extend my stay but at same price, but the manager said no deal so I moved out.
The beds are comfortable and the pillows. We arrived to find that they had just installed new carpeting in the very long hallway which we had to navigate every time we came and went. I have a tendency to get asthma and we complained at the desk but no amelioration was offered. We didn't had time to find a new hotel or move so we stuck it out for four nights and by the end I was so sick I could hardly walk with sinus infection, sore throat, painful cough and couldn't sleep while we were there. I have never gotten so sick so fast. My doctor says that the carpet smell was the factor is why I got so sick. I think you should warn people and ask them if they have sensitivities at the very least and probably should close the hotel when you put in new carpets. I think a person could get into a life threatening situation breathing that stuff. This hotel is conveniently placed for us but we will not be staying there again.
I loved the rooms and fasilities, the view from the room, the atmosphere and the rooftop terrasse/pool/bar area 6 out of 7 nights the hotel had private arrangements on the rooftop terrasse/bar - which didnt allow the hotel guest to use the fascilities. I HATED THAT!!!! The rooftop terrasse/bar was one of the reasons for choosing this hotel, not being able to enjoy it was not very satisfactional. This should have been informed before arrival, or should have been given some alternatives to the guests that wanted to have a drink with a view.
Liked the interiur, design hotel. Nice rooms. Nice view. Great roof-top terrasse. Clean. Friendly staff. Good restaurant for dinner/sushi. No automatic refill of minibar, should get refilled every day! Rooftop bar closed all day for the guests who wanted to use the pool. Rooftop pool quite small - only for "cooling down" - not for swimming. Rooftop bar not avliable for guests... 8 out of 10 evenings the hotel had private arrangements on the rooftop not giving the guests of the hotel access to the terrasse. No information given on this. Did not recieve shampoo/condition/soap every day. Small breakfast in restaurant.
Hyggelig personale. Fin design - men med begynnende slitasje på rommene. Vil snart kreve oppussing. Fin beliggenhet. Positiv stemning.
cost was ok room was smelling really bad, it looks very very cheap ,well I don't think I will ever choose this one again
price, staff were excellent and helpful location wasn't great for public transportation. rooms were very basic
The staff was friendly and very helpful with directions for getting into DC, and the accomodations were quite nice for the price.
The lack of internet, service, and cleanliness made it hard to stay there happily.
The man at the front desk was nice. Non-smoking
The hotel staff were very polite, and welcoming. They were very helpful in directing my wife and I to where we could find delicious yet inexpensive dining options. The hotel was run down looking, and overpriced. The bed was uncomfortable, and the TV only had 20 channels. I was not able to access the internet via my room, as the router was located in the office. I would not advise anyone to stay here, as the experience has horrible.
Location was close to airport and cheap. None of the electrical outlets worked and there was like 3 channels on tv. Also there was a over powering "fabreez" type smell.
Quiet. Great location.
Good location. "Continental breakfast" was awful. WIFI was a joke. It was spotty at best, and didn't work for hours on end. We would head out to start our day early, then return to our room around 4-5pm to wash up for dinner and take a nap, only to discover that our room was STILL not cleaned!! The toilet in our room didnt work!! We complained numerous times, every day we were there. We would return later that day to be told the issue was resolved, only for us to find out for ourselves that it wasn't. Every time we went to the front desk it seems like we were just a nuisance. Needless to say we left a day early and were extremely disappointed.
They seem to have some sort of electric problem, when we were there, about 2/3 of the electrical plugs were broken! It made changing and doing other stuffs like making coffee extremely difficult! Location of the hotel was okay, expect if you planned to come here, watch out for they steepest driveway!!! It's really really hard to drive up there, can't really imagine what they will do when snow or icy weather occurs
Level of clealiness The breakfast had limited varieties
Comfortable beds! Super close to DC for the price!! Walls are super thin.... Breakfast felt like it came out of a vending machine.
Cleanliness Small room
The lady at the front desk was awesome. Gave us excellent information about public transportation and just very cheerful. Breakfast was pretty weak. Cookies, fruit and coffee with coffeemate.
Our room was clean, quiet, comfortable and easy to access. Breakfast wasn't bad for continental (I've had worse when staying cheap) and front desk staff was friendly and even gave us a walking map of DC and some recommendations. Room had a microwave, mini fridge and TV, all in working order :) Nothing really
The staff are all very helpful. I encountered the big snow and the orderred shutter bus did not show up. However, the front desk helps us a lot, especially consider that we are foreign guests.
Microwave, fridge Missed opening window
I stayed here for 6 nights. It was all good. Clean, well maintained, friendly staff, coffee in the lobby, bus stop right out front, shopping nearby, microwave and fridge in room, robust channel selection, comfy bed, good water pressure. They do things right- I would definitely stay again and recommend to friends. I can't think of a thing.
