Excellent location with marvelous sea view. Spa is quite luxuries and new. The sea is one of the best in Aegean sea with its crystal clear waters especially when it's smooth. The hotel charges extra fee for the Spa, which is not a common application in Turkey, especially while you are paying a reasonable price for the room. They also charge for all the drinks at dinner including the soft drinks. We tried to play tennis; we had our own rackets and only requested balls, where the hotel informed that they will charge EUR 10 to use 3 balls for 1 hour. The indoor pool area has a quite poor decoration and quite noisy.
It was a clean hotel. For a resort hotel, not much to do. Little activity you had to do, they charge you a high rate for things like playing pool or ping pong or bowling and the equipment is old and used. Dinners were ok, a lot of the same food, no beverages are included, not even water ??? they charge you 7$ for a can of coke or tea, its a rip off and scam, they basically try to nickel and dime you.
Brand new hotel with a very good location and a very large and luxuries Spa. The breakfast can be a bit crowded in the morning; you may have some trouble if you want to find a quite place to eat.
extra charge for swimming pool & sauna
The beach and the sea was perfect. Rooms are clean and they offer king king size bed. Also the breakfast open buffet was delicious. The parking are is too limited. We have to wait 10 -15 min to get the car
clean, and staff were especially friendly and helpful
Everything! We all wanted to stay for the whole holidays. Barely anything!
Excellent Spa, nice room, free Internet access Beach was not clean, it deserves more attention
Yes, my room was in a corner after a door that seems a kitchen cousine. Moreover, I think that it is not acceptable for a 5 stars hotel to have rooms in a floor without elevator and with stairs until reach it.
Everything was perfect.
nice room, nice view, professional staff.
The hotel, as well as the staff were outstanding and offerred excellent value for money.
First we were given a smoking twin, after specifically asking for non-smoking double. After a huge fuss, they swapped us to exactly what we asked for. It is tiring to have such poor service - I would grade the hotel as 3 stars.
Food is good. Security in the hotel is very poor, you enter the hotel and go up the room without encountering any security. On top they charge even the bottle of water in the dinners which does not fit with the reputation of the hotel. The beach is not so good and you have to walk to another location to go to the bach of the hotel. I recommend you to stay in a chain hotel by the beach in Cesme.
The location was really good and the price I paid through booking.com was reasonable. The buffet was also quite good, although the services at the table was really poor. The staff does not speak english, which is unconceivable for a "5-star" hotel. The room are not tied up properly. We had to pay at our arrival at the hotel. We had a boy coming at 10:30am in the sunday morning to check what he had drink out of the mini-bar. There are only two elevators and you often have to walk for ages before getting to your room. There was human shit in the changing room of the indoor pool which will probably remain the "best" memory of my stay at Altin Yunus. The general design of the hotel could also be improved. Many things to improve, I would not have pay more for such a joke.
Very relaxing and pleasant week Tried to email the hotel on two ocassions to enquire about taxi colection from Izmir airport but no response
Location is very good (the beach is nearby) and the seaside view rooms offer a very pleasant panorama. Hotel rooms are very small. Really, not a 5 star hotel room! Moreover, even we had a hb booking we had to pay for all the drinks we had (and not from the minibar). Even for a bottle of water. Not to mention Efes beer. 5 euro for a can of beer?!? We have never stayed in a 5 star hotel with so small rooms and having to pay even for a bottle of water with hb reservation.
Awesome thermal spa!
beach, strong breeze even on the hottest days along with clean sea. The rooms have great view of the sea and the marina. Wide variety of food for breakfast and supper.
Two days at the hotel represent the worst time we spent in two weeks in the beautiful Turkey. Bad rooms, bad management (only interested to sell room without no one interest to the quality of the stay). Keep away from it!!!
I liked the facilities, especially the swimming pools.
Friendly staff, English speaking, always ready to assist and help. Very clean place with nice interior design and 2 perfect swimming pools. Not enough places on the beach; too small beach for such a hotel.
This is a hotel to go back to. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. A better WiFi reception in the rooms.
The view to the Marina and the swimming pool are excelent
Modern design, friendly staff not at the reception, pool, beach, people in town, cute village Snobbish staff at the reception, small rooms for 5 stars hotel except semi suites or suites, speeding shuttle drivers and shuttle in a very poor condition, not adequate hotel rating - more a weak 4 star hotel, high prices (mini bar, bar etc) in comparison to the region and service at the hotel. Very dirty floors in some rooms.
It's a beautifully designed property with kind staff and excellent facilities. Excellent turkish breakfast served in a lovely setting. The only problem perhaps the location. In the area that is still under development and therefore not really atractive from the aesthetical point of view.
very clean, classy, modern, stylized hotel. Turkish Baths in the Spa were definitely the best part of our experience. This is more of a spa hotel for locals I think. The breakfast is huge. We wanted to travel and enjoy the beach. The hotel is set up more for people who want to do spa things and not leave the vacinity. I would recommend this to people taking a different kind of trip than us The prices of this hotel and almost everything in Cesme were extremely inflated compared to Efes, Istanbul and Bodrum. The beach shuttle only takes you to a specific beach club, not a real beach and its very expensive. The hotel also felt like a ghost town and seemed like noone else was in it. This hotel was very nice but maybe too nice for what we needed. And we paid for it.
The pool was good and clean .. Decoration was interesting .. The Stuff especially Reception was very rude..
Nice building, comfortable room at the end (we had to change it, because we got average room instead of Superior at the beginning, but than they gave us Junior Suite instead) and beautiful view, nice hotel stuff. Although the stuff was very nice, better knowledge of foreign languages would be welcome.
The fact that this is a very modern hotel, as far as its design is concerned. There is a difficulty with the communication, as the staff doesn't really speak english! Also, the hotel isn't soundproof at all! You can hear almost everything from the lobby to the third floor, (where my room was).
general atmosphere of the hotel, location and hospitality
Staff were very helpful, very clean, excellent breakfast and dinner buffet - glad I stayed there.
The hotel has a nice swimming pool and a free access to a beach nearby (Aya Yorgi). Good breakfast buffet. I got a room on the ground floor near the lift, it was really noisy and not very pleasant. I asked to change the room but it was not possible. The cleanliness of the room was not good (small flies in the room, dirty curtains...)
The service quality of the hotel can only be seen when there are limited number of customers in low season. Without any loss, we got excellent service eventhough there are a few people in the hotel. Food was delicious, excellent nature right across Island Chios... You may have a real fishing village experience in Ciftlik Village in a walking distance... Nothing is bad.. We enjoyed a lot... Definitely recommended for nature lovers for a peaceful holiday..
The staff were exellent/ the veiws from the hotel./ & the food was very good. Nothing wrong with hotel.
friendliness and courteousness of staff no tea or coffee making facilities in room...also the extortionate fee charged for transfer to and from airport...130 EUROS
Big and nice corner room. Wonderful view on seaside. Nice blue flag sandy beach. Good dinner. Reseption staff is kind and helpfull. Staff on restaurant is not kind.
The big swimming pool, very useful in case of windy days.
The breakfast and dinner buffets offered a great selection of food. The view of the sea was excellent and the environment was very conducive for a getaway from the busyness of city life. Hotel staff were polite and helpful. For the same price, I was served different portions of drinks in the restaurant (coke came once in a glass and once in a can). This felt a little inconsistent. In addition, mini bar prices in the room were not updated and I was charged different compared to what was stated on the list when I checked out. The staff explained to me that the list I had in the room reflected the old rate.
Perfectly located above a bay just outside of Cesme with a beatutiful private beach on the Aegean. The hotel has a nice mix of local (Turkish) and foreign guests.
we found it very relaxing we got no free water and the tap water was not drinkable
Nice view. Bar was expensive and had limited choice.
this was our second stay at the hotel and we were not disapointed. the staff at the hotel is very friendly and helpfull. every room has wonderfull seaview. animation team is very nice, our child was very happy at mini-disco. location is perfect if you travel by car. the beach is good for children- sandy and the sea is not very deep so that children can play in the water. we liked Babaylon and I have no douts that we'll come here again.
