The breakfast Resturant closed in the evenings. no tea/ coffee making facilities in romm
Great value, awesome breakfasts included. very accomodating hotel staff. Fantastic all around.
Great hotel, location, food, staff. Needs better e-mail access.
Friendly staff, a ten minute (uphill) walk to the town centre is easy. Hotel has a large free carpark and a very excellent breakfast. The larger rooms lokking towards the mountains are worth the extra cost
Charming hotel. We were offered a nicer room, when we decided we needed a larger bed. Very accomodating staff and great food.
just so so. it's about 10 minutes' walk from railway station, and it located at the cross of 3 roads, so it too noisy.
Hotel Bavaria was absolutely wonderful. the beds were comfortable, the staff was friendly, the food was out of this world, great location, free breakfast.. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. no
Very nice and friendly staff, room and service were very comfortable.
Yes, as in most German hotels, there is only one small glass (in bathroom) and only one waste basket... usually in bathroom.
Very welcoming, excellent room and location. Helpful host, easy access into centre of village on foot - great views.
Very pleasant staff. The lounge with the fireplace is charming, as is the dining room. It is tucked in behind a gas station, but it is not a big issue.
The hotel is very comfortable, friendly staff, excellent food and very good spa and swimming pool facilities
The hotel was well appointed. The room was large and very clean. The view from the balcony was lovely. The staff was less than expected of this class hotel. With the exception of the clerk Marcus, who was on duty when we arrived on Sunday. He was extremely helpful and answered all our questions as we checked in. The rest of the staff was indifferent and cool. On 2 occasions while I was talking to the desk personnel I was told, "one moment please", while they talked to another guest and answered their questions. If your non german speaking I would not recommend this hotel, if you are, I would recommend it.
Lovely little hotel a short walk from the Bahnhof. Perfect spa experience for a solo traveler. Staff were extremely friendly and always helpful. The hotel's decor was a very pretty modern alpine design. The spa and pool were very nice. My room had a lovely balcony looking out onto the hillside. I thoroughly enjoyed this hotel and plan to return.
Friendly staff water in the swimming pool was quite cold
The bus cards allowed us to travel all around the are without having to think about transportation. Staff was focused on making us comfortable. We travel a lot and this hotel was one of the very best we have stayed in. Nothing
Our stay at the Alpenhotel Fischer was very relaxing and confortable. The staff are very friendly and extremly helpful nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel itself is very well maintained, our room was very confortable, clean and the furniture and bathroom fixtures looked new. The food at this hotel is very good and reasonably priced. The breakfast selection is fanatastic, there was something for everyone. The spa and fitness facilities are very good. I had a massage there during my stay and the treatments and staff were excellant. Overall i cannot rate this hotel any higher. We have returned home relaxed, well fed and totally mesmerised by the town and surrounding areas of Berchtesgaden. The only small thing that i did not like was that the swimming pool was not heated.
The views were really nice from the balcony and the hotel looks also very nice from exterior and good interior too... It was too hot in the room, hotel is not air conditioned and we had to ask for a fan which was not very comfortable and noisy
Lett å finne.Kort veg med bil til serverdigheter.Bada var ok. Frukosten var ein positiv overrasking. Hotellet var gammelt, og ikkje renovert i særleg grad. Store, mørke og triste ganger og trapper. Hotellet virka heilt dødt når me kom kl 17. Ingen stad der gjestene kunne opphalda seg. Gamle møbler på romma. Me rømte ut og var ikkje tilbake før kl 23.30, slik at det berre var å legge seg til å sove med ein gong.
This was a lovely traditional hotel just on the outskirts of the town but within easy walking distance. Very reasonably priced.
Close (~500m) from the train/bus station. Good continental breakfast Room somewhat cramped, rustic furnishing.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Drinks were very cheap and readily available. The room was quite nice (just as expected for a Bavarian Guesthouse). Right by a busy road. Not loud, just that the sidewalk was across the street.
Lovely hotel, room clean and comfy. Got pass to use local bus service for free which was excellent. The guest house had beers and soft drinks that you could buy for a very reasonable price.
Big noise.Hotel is situated near noisy road and railway.Going to the hotel area you have to cross the very dangerous railway crossing.
clean and tidy Our room was separated from the main block. There are no checkout service in the early morning. Staff is only avaliable after 7:30 am. I don't known why they didn't charge my visa in advance, I need to pay in cash while checkout. Also there was no hot water for coffee or tea in the room.
The owner is really nice. The hotel build just by a railway. Every time a train came by, the driver need to sound the horn, even at 2300!! it's really special and....you know what I mean....
Friendly staff and a great price for a nice place near the train station. No dislikes
Very nice staff. Nice hotel and location. None
Warm hospitality Parking extremely cramped, must run across busy highway for any pedestrian access to nearby city
the view from balcony of mountains
Staff was mostly friendly, hotel was small and cowzy, size of the room was comfortable, clean, anonymous with a personal touch.
We liked the place we stayed. Unfortunately the lift we used in the night stopped when we were inside, probably because the light is automatically switching off in the public areas in the night. To do something with the lift.
being able to walk down to the city and have dinner and then enjoy a walk in the countryside afterwards
The Hotel was ok,The Family owner are very gentle. The parking area was little difficult,I had no problem, but it is little difficult.
Nice family sized room for the three of us and probably could have accomodated another person on the couch. All hotels in Europe were hard to find...this was no exception. One way street.
A pleasant hotel to stay as were staff. The room we stayed in was on the top floor and the ceiling slopped and in was very easy to bang your head. Parking is very limited. If hotel was over half full you would struggle to park anywhere nearby.
We enjoyed the view. For 12 days we would have liked to be on the mountain side with a sunny balcony. The breakfasts were excellent.
Difficult to find initially. No smoke detectors or fire protection noted. Good up hill walk from town. Spa pictures not realistic, very small and lack any real function. Hotel sits in a heavily developed area not on an open hill as the pictures show.
Location was very good for the views of the mountains and access to the town . The bed was to small for a six foot person.
The view of Berchtesgaden from the balcony is spectacular. Everyone can enjoy the same view from the breakfast terrace (if their balcony faces a different way). Excellent breakfast buffet. The walk from the railway station is long and steep and impossible after a day's sightseeing. A taxi ride is required as the bus only runs until 6.15 pm. (Summer season). We didn't mind as the views from the hotel more than made up for it but other guests should be aware.
Very Bavarian look to the hotel. It had recently been painted and updated. Beautiful view.
the staffs are willing to help the hotel is far from the transportation center (30 min by walk) and the town center (15 min by walk); the booking.com's price is higher than other guests check-in & check-out on the same day.
A very nice country style hotel with very good breakfast
The hotel is located on the edge of Berchtesgaden town. A train track runs right in front of the hotel (between the road and the hotel itself), but the trains are not too frequent and did not disturb us.
Simple guesthouse not that far from Berchtesgaden bahnhof/busbahnhof.Rather big room with balcony and private shower/toilet.Breakfast with cereal , cut ham/cheese and boiled egg.All guests are provided with Guestcard with which enable you to get free rides on any buses around Berchtesgaden. No shampoo nor soap provided .No elevator so be prepared to haul your luggage up & down the stairs.
Friendly staff, clean & homely feel No soaps were given out, Brechtesgaden card which is normally given out to all tourists was missed out as well - I wonder why?
Affordable guesthouse within easy reach of mountains and lake.
I like location of the Gastehaus Achental, place for parking, easy access from highway Salzburg-Munich, but on the first place very friendly staff none
Wonderful hotel & fantastic value. Friendly staff and good buffet breakfast. My single room was very clean and bed was comfy. Only 10 minute walk up to the beautiful old town with it's shops, restaurants and bars. I had a fab meal at Chinese restaurant Heng Heng. Their is a short cut walk to the old town between the train station and post office that the owner will tell you about. This hotel is excellent value. No wifi/internet access. No tea/cofee making facilities. Owner 'rented' me a kettle for 2 Euro a night. Difficult to see when dark even though my sat Nav took me to the exact spot! A lit up hotel sign by the road is required. If driving from town train station will be on right. Then drive exactly 200 metres and on the right you will see a 1 metre high white reflective X sign warning of the presence of train tracks. This is the exact spot where you turn into hotel just across the tracks which are still in use. Coming from the west the hotel will be 200 metres before the train station on the left. Again look for the X sign and turn in. So, one could say X marks the spot!
Close to the train station. Affordable. Very clean. Quiet. Friendly staff. We liked that you can buy water, drinks, beer using the honour system.
Friendly staff. A personal welcome by the proprietor on arrival. Cleanliness of establishment throughout. It is a small, attractive family-run guest house in lower Berchtesgaden on main road. Excellent value.
nice place, near train station and easy to go to the lake, nice breakfast and room a little bit difficult to find, and it will be good if it has an elevator
Nice and clea room with all necessary facilites, very helpful and sweet family staff, close to the central station and the town The only way to reach the hotel is crossing a road without traffic lights in front of the hotel, which I think is a bit dangerous.
God beliggenhet i forhold til sentrum. Helt standard, greit og ukomplisert hvis man ikke søker noe annet.
Koslige rom, fin beligenhet i en flott "alpe" landsby. nei.
Sentralt... Rommet hadde veldig dårlig belystning, mørkt og trist...:(
The drive to the hotel was amazing and the scenery extremely beautiful. I chose this particular hotel because they claimed to have a sauna and whirlpool. Neither of these were available for use. The bed also squeaked every time I moved which was irritating.
Berghotel Ines is located up the mountainside above Berchtesgaden. We stayed there due to its close proximity to the Eagles Nest and the Salt Mines. Due to the elevation, you are above the mist and fog in the morning, and it was quite beautiful. We got two rooms, one for the adults and one for the kids, although one room would have slept 3 comfortably. The staff speaks English and were good. The breakfast was tasty, but not as many options as we are used to in Germany. Only one type of roll was served, although they also had crackers and a dark bread.
Lovely high mountain location, friendly owner and staff, helpful ideas on places to visit, good wifi/internet.
nice and warm hostess, beautiful mountain landscape, comfort room too far away from train station of berchtesgaden, have to take the last bus at 18:15 back to the hotel, or take taxi around 15euro
Good Location and views
Excellent Hotel! Clean, great breakfast, friendly staff, nice rooms. Comfy beds. Really enjoyed our stay here. Would stay again! A little far out of town, not too bad though, regular buses & the hotel gives you a card to travel on the bus for free. Only 10 mins from train station on the bus. Worth it for the scenery! I`d stay again!
Hotel was in a central location with all tourist sites (need a car to get to all sites); staff very friendly Hotel did not take credit cards only cash
Very nice location, beatiful view at the mountains and valleys. Great little room with clean comfortable beds. The staff was great, with an amzing breakfast. Highly recommended! Everything was super!
friendly staff, clean place, very quite - nearby restaurants with good quality evening meals need of some investments - should be descriped as 10 min drive from city center! Shame our balcony view went onto the camp site but otherwise ok.
The rooms were very nice, breakfast was good, with very friendly staff. Being out in the country is nice. We had an exit inside and out to a porch that also gave access to the parking lot. It is a little ways out of main towns and without a GPS it would be fairly difficult to find your way to the hotel. It is definitely worth finding though.
