Excellent stay, we very much enjoyed our short holiday - 3 nights at H Kaliakra. We had a standard room which had a double bed and a single bed for our child, plus a coach to sit comfortably while watching TV. They had 2 Romanian stations which was a nice surprise for us. 2 cups and an electric boiler for making coffee or tea in the room, plus the minibar with a few basic items offered within the all-inclusive package. Great food variety, very good drinks, even international ones, plus very polite and friendly staff. And not to forget to mention the evening shows which were quite entertaining, it started each evening at 9.30 pm.We would recommend this hotel to anyone, especially tourists looking to more family oriented hotel. yes, we were disappointed they do not have a sauna/jacuzzi facility.
Hotel well located, very close to the beach, good food, nice atmosphere. Not very spacy rooms (double ones), service not always friendly, no indoor pool.
We went there in May, right before the peak season. It was all-inclusive. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was all good, plenty of choices. Really value for money. Right at the beach, kids loved the kids pool with the slide. 1. The bathroom was a little smelly. 2. While the children were having a dart contest(game) with the animators(3 boys). When a young girl walked by, they asked the girl to join the game and ever since then they just kept flirting with her. Which I think they are unprofessional and shouldn't be doing in front of kids!
All the rooms have sea view and the food is very good and diverse. Great family hotel. Low quality drinks
1.food 2.atmosphere reception desk personnel was not too eager to help
Ultra all inclusive.
Very good ralitsa hotel we hope will return. it was very nice and many facilitis, the poor was great .go ahead!!!!!!!!!
the location near the beach is excellent and the enterteinment program for children was ok
Great value for money, close to the beach, the food was ok . Sun beds and umbrellas (2/1/room) at the swimming pool and beach - included in the room rate.
The location is perfect, very close to the beach, ideal for young families They have a problem with cleanness of the hotel as well as with the plates, cutleries and cups. Sometimes it was really very bad and you had to really watch for a clean one. As a bonus me and my husband caught some virus (eating only in the hotel all inclusive) and we had a big stomach problems and based on the info from the Doctor which we had to call we were not the only ones…
checking in after 2 pm;more fair would be 12:00, with lunch also in the arrival day
Excellent location, very close to the beach and the center of the resort, great animation program for children and entertainment for adults, nice pool, good food. Could not drink the beer or the wine. Poor cleanliness of rooms and restaurant. Weird smell in the lobby.
Close to the sea, quite place, comfortable for children It would be better to state some rules in the hotel restaurant, .e.g. not to permit wet swimming costumes and beach towels as a clothing there. As well as children under 12 years shold be accompanied with the adults while taking food.
that is close to the beach, although the beach is not in front of the hotel dishes were not washed carefully and the food is not so varied
The hotel is near the beach.Beach was clean and ok, but the hotel it was a nightmare Very old furniture, teribil hard smell,at bathroom the trickling was not working At the reception the pos was not working I have to wait 30 min to pay with the card.
The view of the sea, and the space of the room. lack of air conditioning
Albena is a nice place. It needs a restauration.
The city ( albena) is very clean, the beach is good. The hotel was bad, not clean, very hard to find parking, the room very small and ugly.....
The hotel staff were very helpful. It was a great location near the beach and near restaurants and shops. When the toilet broke, they send someone to repair it right away. No complaints
location, the staff did the best to compensate the problems very old everything (hotel itself, furniture, bathroom facilities, elevator...); they badly need redecoration
The good point was the breckfast, plenty of choices. Unhelpfull staff, except the manager, who tried to be nice. But fot the little money we paid, it was ok.
Near the Beach, Staff polite I live 30 mins from the resort. The hotel is old and of poor standard needs refurbishment, I guess this reflects in the price.
Beach Hotel Small rooms
I liked the view and the resort. The bathroom was very smelly, the rooms are old, 90's like, the food was bad.
Clean pools with more trees around Not much diversity on food
I liked the pool, the animation program for the tourists and the ratio money-quality was quite good. I enjoyed the bulgarian food. The beatch is rather far from the hotel.
Sport activities, overall design of the facility and the restourant, daily entertainment. Extreme noise until early morning 4-5am by people allowed to dring outside of the lobby, below ouroom. We were told all rooms are noisy. Food in the restourant blant, our kids got sick as many other kids, might be related to the food. Room was not cleaned one of the days. Two double beds were actually one single and one double. The extra bed was a foldable armchair, not comfortable.
The swiming pools and the nature The food was poor, the room was not cleaned during our four days stay and the staff was very unkind
Great value, good food and drinks (all inclusive). Excellent entertainment team!
Very comfortable. Good food, good beach, perfect for family.
Location which is optimal for a family with children. Too bad it has a lot bad points. I would not recommend it unless significant improvement is proven. Arabela is a 2 star hotel in terms of staff and utilities. Location is very good for a family but too bad that the services are so poor. No value for money at all. I recommend a quick and significant improvement of staff behaiviour and services like room cleaning, hospitality, etc.
Close to the sea, the pool Staff could be more friendly and shoul speak better english (it's hard to communicate with some of them)
The location was excellent, close both to the beach and the center of Albena. The food was very good, every day was something different to choose from, the pool was very clean, the beach is excellent with fine sand. The rooms are cleaned daily, the sheets every 3-4 days (only once per stay), the towels daily if used. The hotel is pretty old, the bath tub was rusty, the towels are pretty used (they need same new ones), the bath amenities are basics (no body lotion). There is no all inclusive bar on the beach, so if you want a beer you have to go back to the hotel. They could really place a bar on the beach.
The location and the breakfast are really great! If you wanna really enjoy your vacation at the sea side, then this hotel will not be the right place to stay... Not clean (cockcroaches!), bad smells. The stuff let you feel, that your problems with the hotel are yours, not their... This hotel needs a renovation in every meaning.
It's a quiet hotel but this and the cleaning of the rooms are the only advantages.. the breakfast is not very good with many types of food but not with a very good quality. hotel staff is not enough educated , they are impolite and their behavior should be modified. my advice for all of you is to go at hotel dobruja which has a better quality
Close to the seashore. Very clean. The prices did not match the booking (although they were close). The staff was totally unaware of anything. They didn't know the prices (we've been given at least 5 different numbers), let alone exchange rates. The hotel does not accept credit cards of any kind, even though they do have marks stating that! I was amazed that the fridge was at extra cost!
Cleanliness of the room. Lack of AC n the room & breakfast may only be served in another hotel, also w/o AC which was necessary when outside was over 35 Celsius degree.
Friendliness, Cleanliness, Situation.
staff were greatalos bar staff no
I only liked it is close to the beach, in rest..... nightmare! Mi-a placut numai faptul ca hotelul era aproape de plaja, in rest...un cosmar! I did not like anything, absolutely anything! A filthy hotel, when I mean filthy, I mean it stinks like piss both in the room and the holway! The hoteh has nothing to do with 3 star clasification, not even with 2 stars! I do not recomand to stay there! Nu mi-a placut nimic, absolut nimic!
-the reservation was correctly followed, the hotel is very close to the beach and to the center of Albena, it was not crowded, it was quite inside, furniture is relatively new, staff was very kind, the atmosphere was very relaxing and pleasant The breakfast: Coffee was a disaster, food was predominantly "ready to eat" or "microwaved" type of food, which is not typical for Bulgaria. And cleanliness of the room.
Nice looking rooms, quiet Bad food. From 8 people in our group, 6 were suffering from food poisoning (very severe diarrhea, vomiting). Most of the vegetables had at least strange taste (sour). Very little variations of food type, and general impression of bad food.Glasses were always smelling like they were not so well washed. Parking is a nightmare. I spent 30 minutes driving in circles, so I can find a spot where I can leave my car for unloading the luggage. Then I had 2 spend 2h in the evening, literally hunting for a parking place. And parking is paid! TV stations selection is poor. It did not cover my needs at all. Mostly Bulgarian and German stations, that are dubbing most of their broadcast. If you do not speak those languages, then there is nothing much left.
Good food, free access to sunbeds Dinner time was too early (17.30 - 19.00). The room and bathroom were very small. No room cleaning in 3 days. No free alchoolic drinks on All Inclusive. Hard to find parking space.
I stayed at this hotel with my husband and my 3,6 years old boy,and for sure we will go back for another vacantion. The location is excellent, right on the beach, the pool quite large and clean, was plenty of food and very good, lots of fruits and cakes. The room was ok,little small, but clean. It worth the money we payed and even more. We'll comeback for sure.
It is a very good hotel, located on the beach, very close to the natural reservation Baltata. As it is the last resort on the southern part of Albena, it is a quiet place. The services are high quality and there is a lot of good food to eat. Each day there are new dishes so the food is not boring. If you look for a quiet place with good food and service this is what you are looking for.
worth the money
Great pools for a 3 stars hotel and also good food. Little and dark room, at the first floor, lots of flies and there was a problem with the cold water which was not available at certain morning hours.
The room was ok, but the bathroom was not renovated and you get the feeling that is not igienic. The restaurant was to crowded and sometimes no tables were available and olso it was very difficult to find cakes or some sortiments of food because they run out of this products very quickly. But if you can ignore the bathroom and the problems in the restaurant, you can have a pleasant stay for 3 or 4 nights. The bathroom and the restaurant.
The swimming pool looks better than in the images on the site. It is very nice and large.Rooms look pretty comfortable with one matrimonial bed and one single, so a couple with a kid will fit very nicely. There were fruits you could eat. Ice cream at the pool. Food quality was not too high and it definitely had a low variety from one day to another. Soups or impossible to be eaten, as they did not have any taste. Snacks at the pool were very poor, and very litle quantity for the capacity and the occupancy they have. It is not a big deal, however, it would be preferable to state that payments at the hotel reception are done in local currency and at an unfavorable exchange rate. You could at least not change you currency into Eur but directly into their currency.
Acceptable condition offered by this hotel, nice water pools, air condition doesn’t work in my room (only on ventilation). Please verify air condition status before check-in in the room!
A very good price/quality ratio. We want to come again this year, is quite a good deal to come to this hotel with kids. There is an wide offer of food at the restaurant, a very pleasant set of pools and a lot of very entertaining animators. You won’t regret for sure. None
very low quality of food, nothing was fresh ;you can eat the same dish every time of the day,no fruits at all;we paid a different price than our reservation
Nice hotel, friendly staff, excellent price for all inclusive at a 3 star hotel. There was a sanitation problem in one of the rooms.
I was also there last year, I liked it, I returned,.
Great animation team, good and diverse food, great price/quality. I'll be back next year. Great for children.
Great location on the beach. Good and tasty food. The room could be much cleaner.
Food has been excellent.Location is spot on.
I like the position, the seaview,
located near the sea corresponds to three stars. in the bar a small variety of beverages are included in the All include
good breakfast staff unpolite (mainly cleaning services)
Very good value for the money, the hotel have a good and relaxing location, the staff was frendly and they haeve diversified food
The bathroom was too small and the shower was attached by an incredible small sink so everything in the bathroom gets wet while showering, even the toilet paper and your clothes. More than that, the water comes into the room so the carpet gets wet also, I found this very uncomfortable. Stuff at the reception desk find very difficult to use our Visa card so they suggested us to pay by cash instead
Clean air, green scenery, nice and quiet. The staff does not speak English. There is no air conditioning and no WiFi or at least it wasn't working then, and it's not free anyway. The lobby gets a water cleaning every hour or so from the cleaning staff, but without air conditioning the humidity stays at 100% all day long, and with an average temperature of 30C it's a risky business to wait in that area for more than 5 minutes.
The silence at the hotel... perfect for relaxing. The all inclusive package (bar included) no air conditioned, bad elevator, that's all ;)
Good breakfast! Cleaning personnel is unpolite. Then on website check-in is 14:00 but I had to wait mar than 1h and half to check-in.
This hotel is completely outdated and need a big face lift. The breakfast menu wasn't geared towards Irish or English people. Only went once during our stay. We had booked in for 6 nights but only stayed for 3 because there was no air conditioning which in this day and age is totally unaccepable in such a warn county and it was very noisy early in the mornings with young children crying. We didn't get one nights sleep due to the heat and the crying children. There wasnt even a fan available from receiption to hire.
A comfortable hotel with good although basic facilities and friendly staff. All-inclusive deal is excellent value for money, food is very good, big choice, well cooked, always plenty available and lots of fresh fruit. Room was good size with small balcony, very clean, with air con. very pleasant park surroundind hotel, good sized swimming pool for swimmers (depths from 1.70 to 2.00 metres) plus great childrens pool. Excellent sandy beach. Perfect place for family holiday The distance to the beach was about 400 metres as described in hotel info but what was not mentioned that this included 165 steps back up from the beach to the hotel. Good exercise but not good for physically challenged.
it's in the quiet part of the resort; the pool was ok; overall it was ok for the money we gave the food could have been much better and I didn't like the the queus during lunch and dinner
i liked the swimming pool, i liked that it was a quiet place where you can enjoy the sun the hotel stuff don't speak english very well, the room was dirty
Swiming pool ,barbeque ,animation, bus to and from beach and location wich was in the middle of a natural garden. Yes,when i was in Golden Sands i paid in euro exactly the price from booking and here i paid in leva with 30 euro more than price from booking.
Enough parking spaces, good food, clean swimingpool Lack of air conditioning
I liked the vegetation around the hotel, the amability of the staff and the meals at the restaurant. No
The trees and the pool makes a pleasant stay.
I like everything. There was ants in the room.
I like that it was quiet. The pool was great. The TV calbe included two of our romanian channels. They never canged the sheets althouh we asked for this. The food wasn't that great. The hotel staff, the ones from the reception, didn't know english that well...The communications was a little difficult.
I loved the fact we had mini bar open from morning untill 2 am beside the so free drinks(quality drinks)all day... There are two things I hated 1-thotel is far from beach 950m and the food was dirty ,they served us dirty vegetables ,unwashed by earth...etc so I could imagine how clean was the kitchen.....so I would say not for the people who look at details as miself...
Everythink, the reception making the exception The reception- no organisation for receiving the guestes.
The fact that food and drinks were included in the price of the room was quite advantageous.
I liked the pool
The main lobby is clean and recently renovated, the reception staff is fluent in English and helpful. 1.The cleaning ladies should do their job better and should deffinitely use antiperspirant deo-stick or at least water & soap. 2. We stayed in similar hotels in Albena in the past 2 years and the room services were superior. In Hotel Panorama during our 7 days holliday the bed linens haven't been changed ever. 3. The meals ar served at Kompass Hotel and the quality is rather poor. I don't reccomend this hotel, but Hotel Orhideea (3 stars as well) where we have stayed in tha past 2 years and felt much comfortable (rooms, services, sport facilities, food)
The thing I liked the best about the hotel is the fact that it is close to the beach. It's a 2 minute walk there in a straight line. The fact that it was close to the bazaar did not bother us at all. There were parties by the pool in the evenings but they didn't last past 11PM. The music was loud so it probably would have been disturbing past that time. The food was very diversified and plenty, so we had a wide choice of meat, salads, juices, deserts and so on. We stayed there for 3 nights and they cleaned the room once. I'd say that our stay there was satisfying and pleasant. It's hard to make an objective point here. Although it did not bother us, the air conditioning was not working (in both rooms - we were 2 couples). We could easily sleep with the window open since they had double sliding doors pointing to the balcony - one of the doors being a mosquito net. We disliked the meat they served, most of the salads and the fact that you could only get "local beverages" as included in the all inclusive. I believe that this might not be that relevant, since other people seemed to enjoy both the meat and salads. The snack bar in-between the meals was poor. The pool is rather small and cannot be used after 6PM because they are cleaning it with chemicals (which might in fact be seen as a good thing).
Was all perfect. 5start for the hotel. I recomand it for all. All inclusive was the best choise, everiting was great. nothing to say
The room is big and the location is near to the beach. The food must be more diversified.
Near to the beach and Albena is nice. The food was not good. My kids even became stomach problems. Only the bulgarian jogurt was always nice.
The relaxing felling and the coffe bar and cleaning off the room and the location. The food was good but if stay 10 days or longer it was always the same main corses at lunch and dinner.
it was the best raport price/accomodation. good and plenty of food. clean rooms. the free orange juice is too sweet. the animation had a poor activity.
It was very nice. Its a pity the staff at reception had such poor english. We paid 30lev for a fridge that did not work we made this known to staff and they changed it for another one but it would not work so we gave up.That was not nice.
We liked the food and that the hotel position was in the center of Albena.
Very good location, close to the sea and city center. Great variety of cuisine. Very good food, also Bulgarian. Very good air conditioning in a room. Small but clean swimming pool. Check in took foe ever. No parking, even that on the booking.com there is an information about "private parking". You have to find yourself a place on the street. Not all hotel staff speaks English. Some renovation would be nice in public areas.Hotel do not accept Euro (only a local money or credit cards)
from the beggining until the end, all the staff persons had offered all support for achieving a good accomodation and services, according with the package which I had choose.
Very good positioned, with immediate access to the beach. The restaurant needs to be tidier. A new furniture and ventilation system (air conditioner) are required.
great location, exceptional price, good views from room. Older facility, Incredibly family-oriented (not the right demographic for us)...
Location, staff was nice Small rooms, bad smell, many rooms above restaurant's ventillation system
We have been here for the second time (first time in 2008) for a 7 nights ”all inclusive” holiday. We have had 2 rooms (4 adults + 1 kid + 1 teenager) with link door between. Everything was excellent. In my opinion this is the best all inclusive hotel in Albena in the 3 stars category. It is also a French Club (”Plein Vent” tour operator) with very nice French speaking Animation Team. Accommodation is standard in the category with minibar and air conditioning. For the food my mark is: over excellent (all types of meet including fresh fish and sea fruits, plenty of salads and vegetables, local specialities and international cuisine). Sun beds and umbrellas (2/1/room) at the swimming pool and beach. Very kind and customer oriented staff.
Imediatly acces to the beach; friendly and peaceful atmosphere; good cuisine; entertainment team ok. In Booking.com presentation all rooms have sea view because the orientation of the hotel; in fact many rooms are without sea view because the ambient ( buildings or vegetation ) ; I lived this experience; the staff was inflexible.
we enjoyed the location, the hotel is located directly on the beach and we were also able tu use the big pool of hotel gergana food wasn't really good, seeing other guests almost fight over it, didn't make it better either. sheets and towels were poorly changed. staff was rather unfriendly. we had to call the reception and go personally there 4 times in one day just to have our towels and bedsheets changed, which was then made around 11.30 pm. we were there for one week; three nights during this week, from 11 pm til 5 am we did not have any running water. there was also no running water during two afternoons. i don't think that there's anyone who can enjoy that, thinking you can't even use the toilet because you can't flush afterwards, not to speak about taking a shower when you come back from the beach or a walk later in the evening.
The food was very good, the hotel was very clean, the animation team did some nice games. The hotell staff are treating romanians badly.
The location of the hotel is very good, directly on the beach. The beach and the water are very clean. Rooms are spacious and they are clean. Food is enough and it is good and fresh. Sometimes the reception is crowded and you have to wait a little bit to make the check-in and the chek-out.
