Good, quiet, hostel
Quiet - generally wasn't full of people looking to party and drink. Also, out of town, in the mountains so not as much city noise. Distance from town. Not a problem for us, but others may not like the distance from town, or the walk up the hill from the train station Car friendly. On street parking and an overflow parking lot. Good initiative. Staffed by physically and mentally disabled staff.
Getting a bit run down: - Beds weren't that comfortable. - There was a problem with the bathroom in our dormitory. I think one of the U-bends is draining so it smelt like sewage! Tiny, uncomfortable guest kitchen. Long, uncovered walk to get between our dormitory and the kitchen (or the reception/TV room/place where this is working WiFi). This means if its raining, prepared to get soaked!
breakfast ok, no traffic around and good beds.
The 956 steps (i counted) uphills were hard. Unprofessional staff talking, screaming and keeping noise in the restaurant and when cleaning.
24Hr Check in
how easy it was to get to downtown even though the strike was going on!!!! I loved the nature around. Incredible value for all the great services and facilities.
Great hostel with swimming pool and good facilities. Any problems were sorted quickly. Free WI FI. The employment of people with disabilities is also a big plus.
The location can make difficult to have a big night out in the city center (last train at mid night except on Sat) but it is the perfect location for those with a car (free parking) and public transport nearby.
Only the price I'm afraid. Which actually wasn't worth it due to having to take an expensive taxi back from Barcelona as Trains stop at 23:30
The location is just not worth it. If you want to go into the Mountains and have a little stay in somewhere nice and lock yourself away from the city, this is your place. If you want to see Barcelona, DON'T!
Price, generally better than UK Hostels.
Inconsiderate noisey guests
the living areas, location in the park, great idea of employing people with special talents
I was moved 3 times from room to room - that was disturbing - but in the end it worked out
The hostel is on the edge of zone1 in a quite neighborhood. Excellent price, peaceful environment, easy access with FGC. Best value for money ever.
It's a very special hotel. It is run by people with disabilities, which makes it a unique enterprise. It is located 20 minutes for Barcelona's city center by train and yet it is in the middle of nature. It is quiet, great for rest. Facilities are new, spacious, 10 bed rooms are divided into 4 bed units, which gives more privacy that you'd expect, they have huge lockers, you can put anything that you can carry in them. The internet is available 24 hours. The bathrooms are spacious and clean. All the facilities look new and well kept. It is very quiet. You don't hear the ususal Barcelona noise so it's actually possible to sleep. And it is only 12 euros! The best value for money in Barcelona.
The kitchen should definitely be larger and it should be open all the time. Right now it is only open a couple of hours during the day. And they should have cerial for breakfast!
Some working people of the hotel
Strange atitiute of the staff, during the handeling of breakfast / "not everyone is equally treathed"
