Location was not too far from the city center. Better deal than other 4 star hotels (offered on line) with breakfast The beds were comfortable and firm enough. I am very disappointed!. We were expecting a 4 star hotel but this is barley a 3 star hotel. 1) The smell or cigarette was all over our room and the staff were not very helpful !!! I went to the front desk and complained , the gentleman behind front desk was trying to help and maybe switch the room , but for some reason he is asking the lady (Emma) and she said there is nothing available and her solution was spraying the room to get rid of the smell of smoke!!!! Either they sprayed the room or not even didn't bother!!! since the smell existed until we checked out. We could not keep the door /window open at night since our room was facing the HWY and the noise was disturbing us. 2) We arrived at 9:25am for breakfast and the four trays of the warm food were gone!!! There was no staff in the restaurant and I told the front desk to send someone to the area. The fruits and other food items were also not fresh and not good quality. We were planning to stay a few more nights upon arrival but with our disappointment we decided to stay only one night. If Scandic wants to survive in Antwerp they must do something about this low quality service.

The hotel serves good breakfast. The rooms are large and clean enough.Though the hotel is situated on the outskirts of Antwerpen it is rather easy to get to the centre of the city. Just a 5-minute walk and 5 minutes by tram and you are near the Central Station. I didn't like the cheating price policy of the hotel and I would never recommend it to anybody. I booked 2 rooms, each of them was 333 euro according to booking.com confirmation. So I was very much surprised on seeing the bill comprising 888 euro. The reception did not even appologise. Just printed a new right bill which was paid. On coming home I realized that they have withdrawn 884 euro from my account on the date of our arrival. The sum of 216 euro disappeared. A friend of mine paid the room cash on arrival. The hotel asked for a 60 euro deposit that should have been given back on departure. It wasn't due to some mistake of the receptionist. These constant money problems practically spoilt the most favourable impressions of the city.
The location staff are unprofessional, breakfast is bad specially the egg and sausage choice. Rooms are dirty. Electric plug was broken and we complained three times but nothing was done.

Bathroom was excellent Guy on reception on Saturday 24th July at around 4pm was very miserable and uncomfortable to be around. We felt that we were bothering him to much when asking for drinks at the bar so we left for another place. Also, the airconditioning kept on cutting out and the room was far too hot to sleep in. At one point the whole power cut and the receptionist had to flick a switch outside for the room electric to come on again. This was not god as I had to drive to London the next morning very tired.
Rooms were quite big with air con. Bathroom facilities were good. It was difficult to find the entrance. The hotel was desetede not many people there. There were only three people in the bar and that was my family. Therer were no tea making facilities which you would expect from a 4* hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone especially not those with family.

The apartment rooms are great, plenty of space, adequate cooking and relaxing area. The double bed was 2 single beds pushed together.
The room was on two levels which was nice
the room was very good the breakfast and quick service was really good we liked the idea of having a seperate suite and was able to come and go as we pleased and the suite was fantastic. the only thing i could complain about was it was hard to explain things in english i think if you spoke flemish, dutch or german you would be beter off.
Television did not work properly (problem with aerial connection). Dead (squashed) mosquitos littered the ceiling near the window.
The staff were freindly and it was only a 5 minute walk into the town centre. Extra costs. 6 euros an hour for Internet, in my opinion is very excessive.
Little bit too far from city centre, and the kitchen facility was very poor. They did not have any cooking utensils apart from pans (not even a knife!), which made it very difficult to cook anything really.
Spacious suite; comfortable bed; good breakfast Cranky & temperamental elevators; light not working in one of the elevators; our beds weren't made 2 days running - although we received a gracious apology.
Well equipped room, kitchen with all necessary appliances. Good location in the city. Poor noise insulation, we could hear the water being flushed all the time from higher level apartments. Expensive parking (13euros/day) while it costs 3,50 in front of the building.
Reasonably easy to find from Central Station Poor amenities, no Coffee Tea making facilities, toilet constantly running and wasting water, floor wet. Room not as clean or as well maintained as expected. Concerned at paying via internet and then being asked to pay again on checkout, explanation being internet payment only a guarantee? will be checking accounts to ensure only one payment!!!! Concrned at hallway lights not functioning difficult to find room in dark and dangers associated with poor lighting!
