A very friendly and well kept hotel. The rooms and common areas were immaculate. It does cater to a religious Muslim market, so there are tensions with secular and gentile guests. For instance the pool has hours set aside for women only. The other hours are supposed to be co-ed, but some men may object if women are in the pool with them. Overall, most people make the effort to accommodate everyone's needs. It's location near the U.S. Embassy requires a cab ride in order to reach the old city.
The Hotel staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help when we were stranded in Sarajevo by the dust cloud (so we stayed longer than a day). Ask them for taxis because they are better and cheaper. nothing wrong at all
It is hard to get any better value for money than Italia. Being a really cheap hotel the it had some similarities to top hotels. The room was huge (~80 m2+ three balconies), clean and silent. Everything worked excellent with booking, paying and service. Everyone is friendly. The walk to the city centre is not that far, ~20 min and otherwise taxi is ~€2.50. Compared to a standard business hotel, Italia is little bit worn out, the staff we met did not master english (at all) and the coffe wasn't that tasty. The paintings on the walls were terrible, but that can happen at any hotel.
Friendly and helpful staff. Safe car garaging. Smell of petrol from what they said was a new heating system.
nothing my car was damaged by soem vandals once parked at the Hotel parkign lot; General Manager did not speak English and the police neither
Good value hotel on edge of city (5 min drive to centre) with parking which I required as was travelling through Bosnia by car. The 1 night I stayed it was a quiet, fairly empty hotel so difficult to judge but staff helpful (& some spoke english but this is Bosnia!) and made me feel very welcome. Would certainly stay again.
kindness of stuff, good taxi service
Overall the stay in hotel was pleasant. It is a good accommodation for night or two. You can only pay by cash although there are stickers of major credit and debit cards at the entrance of the hotel.
Very basic, connected with a nice and interesting restaurant. Staff was friendly and the hotel+restaurant- concept differed quite much from "standard 2-3 star hotels". Mostly in a positive way. This was an experience. Nice terrace and garden. The room (apartment) was very basic. A bit long way to Sarajevo center (appx 2,5 km), but easy to go with a taxi (2-3 €).
Although far from the city center, cheap taxis are easily available. The receptionist Lejla, a charming person, very helpful.
The stuff we had experience with were really nice and hospitable I would appreciate if the room had been better ventilated.
The personal was nice and quite spontaneous. We arrived very early and got another room, which was not reserved for us. The windows were old and we paid a bit more than booking.com told us. (100 instead of 95 - not a problem at all).
The staff were very helpful and friendly. It was a 20 minute walk from the old town area but I liked this, and there is a small supermarket nearby which is convenient. I had one evening meal in the hotel which I found very expensive by Sarajevo standards. The food was very good though!
Restaurant and location Lighting very poor for reading.
The atmosfhere. The smell of room.
The staff were mostly friendly, very helpful and honest Many services were advertised, such as wireless internet connection in the rooms which did not exist. Nor was there a gym or pick up/drop off service as had been advertised. The night I arrived there was no one at reception and no buzzer system to alert anyone of my arrival so I waited 25 minutes wandering around the hotel looking for a staff member. The furniture in the room was broken and the electricity went out twice. The breakfast was also terribly unhealthy. I only continued to stay there because it was cheap and the staff were friendly.
staff friendly and location very good it is a little old typical from former Comunist countries
