Superb customer service Room was small for 3 people
Perfect B&B in best value for money. Good public transport being next to bus stop. Proper continental breakfast with a good warm english Breakfast.
The staff were lovely, would do anything to help while we were at the hotel or when we were going out. Room was small but lovely with great facilities and complimentary hot drinks and wine. It was a bit noisy as our room was downstairs next to the kitchen so we could hear them making breakfast early and tidying up late. However this was a good alarm and ensured we had a full day!
Staff were pleasant and helpful, room had everything that I required from a B & B.
Reception and atention.
Everything was nice - staff, english breakfast, rooms were clean. good value for the money.
All! Breakfast, cleanliness, roomy, thoughtfull staff
Friendly but private. Very clean and well appointed.
Our room was really comfortable, and the decoration in our room and the rest of the house was lovely. All staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful. This may seem a petty thing but all three of us were in agreement that the bread with breakfast could have been better. It would have been nice to have bread that was cut in the kitchen or a better quality pre cut bread. Other than that breakfast was great.
Sincerely, just liked everything.
Excellent service, particularly good breakfasts. Very comfortable rooms - and nice touch with the whisky nightcap! Stylish presentation throughout the B&B. Generally fine although heating is a small detail that could be ironed out. Opportunity for a few cherries on the top such as evening drinks hour - making the most of the excellent lounge! Great stay overall though.
locality & friendliness of staff
Trouble free and friendly atmosphere breakfast and checkout time a bit early. Suggest 945am and 1030am.
Location opposite a park and the friendly nature of the staff
Really friendly staff, made us welcome cost is greater than London prices
the review was just as it said friendly staff great breakfast did not need to eat all day wish they did evening meal as would loved to try out his wines can see why people keep going back we will if we are in the area
Convenient for visiting the Royal Yacht and Edinburgh City because it is on a bus route.
Friendly, helpful owner. Fantastic breakfasts.
Great breakfasts and very helpful owner lodge rooms are pretty small, but owner did tell us that up front
Very friendly people, internet access. Fish for breakfast took some getting used to :) Except for the morning, hot water took some time to reach the top floor where my room was during the rest of the day.
This was a great place to stay. The owner was so friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived and always took the time to make sure we were happy. The rooms were clean and comfortable and had all the facilities one needs. The breakfast was superb. We will definately be staying there again the next time we go to Edinburgh. None.
far enough out but close enough to the city. bus to and from on the doorstep almost. easy to get too and fro. all ok nothing to dislike
The owner was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The place had a lot of charm. Room was very tiny, bathroom was also tiny, toilet didn't flush well.
excellent breakfast. Helpful owner.
I thought the 2 guys who run the hotel were very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was effortless and very good. Bus stop right outside the door , quick 10 minutes to city centre. Secure parking. I thought the rooms were a bit old fashioned and dark.......only thing that put me off but only slightly. Apart from that the room offered everything you could need.
Friendliness of staff. Nothing
Friendly welcome & helpful staff. Very clean bathroom & bedroom. Great breakfast. Free on-street parking. Walking distance to city centre.
This was the perfect place to stay. Close enough to walk to the city center. Great food in this part of town as well. The owner is so great and offered suggestions for places to eat. She was very accommodating and hospitable. Breakfast was fantastic with eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, toast and jams, ect. Tea or coffee served. Would stay here again. The Stairs are challenging to navigate.
Paola [the owner] really went out of her way to make me feel comfortable ...
The room was really nice, comfortable and spacious. Tipical scotish breakfast, but not too many options if you aren´t into it. Location is fine, but not really centric. It´s my first time in a b&b, honestly I expected a more familiar relationship with the landlady. Quite cold
The friendly atmosphere of the host and the excellent breakfasts.
Having never been in a "guest house" before, I didn't know what to expect. But the Crioch House was so much better than what any hotel stay could have offered. The caretakers were very personal, and helped to ensure my stay on Edinburgh was based on what I wanted. Hotels can be nice and friendly, but at Crioch House you felt cared for. There were continual problems with the wi-fi. This may be more of a device issue, as the new Apple software may have caused to problems and not the houses router. They did work to try to fix this for me.
