Staff very friendly and helpful food was excellent room was comfortable I would have liked a tea kettle in the room
great location, very comfortable the internet was inconsistent
The staff were friendly and were largely fluent in English. The location was great, only a 5-10 minute walk to restaurants and parks. The wifi was strong throughout the hotel, the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The rooftop bar was very nice but wasn't open on the weekend which was a disappointment. Really good quality for the price. The pool is in the basement which was a mistake on our end, some old/incorrect pictures showed it as a rooftop pool which made spending a day at the pool impossible. Water in the room is outrageously expensive, $10/bottle! The shower/tub combo was a bit uncomfortable - I'm very average size and it was too narrow to stand shoulder width. The room was starting to show some signs of age but still a very good value.
Very nice lobby layout. Nice breakfast. Classy rooms. Very polite and helpful staff. The hotel did not charge me for a late cancellation 1 night due to cancelled airline flight when they could have by their terms and conditions.. The City Tour they organised was terrific.Highly recommended Coffee concentrate is pretty poor compared to proper brewed coffee but this seems to be the standard in South America. Meals expensive compared to good restaurants close by. More complimentary water in vathroom would be appreciated as to purchase it is USD10.
this is a big hotel and near the center of the santiago... not bad
Location, location, location. I wish there were more restaurant choices.
Good location, very nice staff, nice comfortable rooms
After arriving from a long flight, I was delighted to find a very lovely room, with a very comfortable bed. Best of all, there is a supermarket located on the first floor of the building, so I was able to make great use of the kitchen. The furnishings were great, the staff was great, service personalized, and I felt like I had my own apartment half way around the world! I will recommend this hotel to all of my friends.
The staff -- several of whom spoke good English -- were very friendly and forgave us our poor Spanish. They were patient with us when we tried to pay with a Discover card (not accepted much in Chile) and had to use another. The manager (or at least the one on duty when we were there) also helped us with a suggestion about which bus to use to get to Valparaiso the day we checked out. Another gentleman kindly retrieved us from the lobby and told us as much as he was able in English about the area. We loved our loft room. The place was clean and comfortable, including and especially the bathroom. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to a friend. It was a bit confusing to find -- the address belongs to more than one operation, it seems, and the man behind the desk right inside the front door did not speak English and had to call someone else to come get us. (He was, at least, able to nod when we said "Amistar Apartments" and motioned for us to wait for someone to help us.)
The personal service provided by the manager was A+++ beyond the call of duty. The location was extremely convenient and central to all attractions. The pool area was fantastic and the room was very well furnished and decorated. The 2nd bedroom of the apartment was too small to be called a real bedroom. ie: the roll out bed provided could not even be fully extended and the room could not be entered at the same time as there was not enough room to even open the door. Unfortunately we were also located on a floor too low to take in the panormic views of the mountains advertised.
A practical, reasonably priced place to stay in a city with very high accommodation costs.
Location and facilities No aircon
The correspondence and help I received from Nicholas was the best customer service I had received while being away on holiday. The images on the web site make the apartment look a lot bigger than what it actually is.
The bed was comfortable despite being a box spring and mattress on the floor. The space worked for exploding bags and sleeping a couple of nights. The toilet seat wasn't connected to the toilet and there was no trash can in the kitchen. Also, the towels were ripped and old.
Location was good. We walked to most places It was very dirty; hair on the floor, garbage from the last tenant. Very dusty. We slept in our sleeping bag. It took awhile to check in despite the fact that there are three people working there. I will recommend a different place in Santiago.
It is very centric. It only has one bed and we asked for 2, they made the sofa a second bed, so one had a super big bed and the other one slept with a backache. On weekends they don't clean.
Big room with kingsize beds.Wifi in the room. English news channels bbc , cnn Shower with low water pressure
Bilingual staff, location, large rooms
Hotel staff was very helpful and the room is indeed clean. Hotel needs big makeover - very old facilities. Would be very doubtful whether to recommend the hotel.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, plus the rooms were very well serviced each day The restaurant was not open at all on twe occasions when we attempted to use it, even though it was advertised as being open (eg. in the lift poster)
Central location, internet and individual heating in rooms, fixed internet promptly when it stopped working, friendly staff, generous breakfast buffet.
The staff was very helpful when I needed some assistance. The room, particulary the bathroom, was dirty. Breakfast was a bit poor.
The location is close to a subway station, there is a breakfast buffet, however one guest tried to take a yogurt out of the breakfast room was stopped harshly by a staff member. The entrance of the hotel is kind of hidden, next to a little hill in a side street, this may be dangerous. The street next to the hotel is very noisy starting early in the morning. When we arrived the hook for the towel in the bathroom fell off when I touched the towel. It was not repaired during my stay. The shower head also was loose and when touched could fall down. Maintenance in that hotel is lacking...
Nothing. Dirty beds!!! Poorly kept all over.
large room. internet available breakfast was absolutely horrible. The worst breakfast while travelling four weeks in south america! The hotel personnel was charging to much for the taxi to the airport, which is not very service oriented.
Good position, in the center. Room quite large Restaurant with no permission for alcohol (so no beer, no wine...). Room cleanliness not sufficient
location 2 star
Good location. Requested a double bed but only got 2 single beds. A lot of traffic noise.
The location, price and the hotel staff. The breakfast could be better.
Location. Excelente! Breakfast included.
Fast and reliable internet. Very near the downtown sights. Good food at a fair price. Large safe in the room. The window coverings were flimsy blinds which did little to keep out the light from outside - chiefly the hotel's neon sign...
I really liked the location, although the first impression was not that great. I arrived at night and found the hotel across the street from two adult-themed night clubs. The shuttle driver even mentioned it was "dangerous" around there. However, in the morning I realized those two clubs were the exceptions. The hotel is actually in the financial district, also within feet of MetLife and a Starbucks, and walking distance to many of the locations you'd like to see in Santiago. I also thought the staff were helpful and welcoming. The apartment was not really that clean--the walls and sheets, especially. Also, for an Aparthotel, the cooking utencils were sub-par.
