good localization and useful room design Poor breakfast, low speed wifi, hotel door which locked at night,
Location (close from TGV station and center)
The staff was committed but not always efficient. Checkin was fast and friendyl, but it tok 15 minutes to get a receipt on checking out. and the breakfast is not buffet, you get served individually so when there are a few people in the restaurant room it takes time.
The room is very clean and there is a free wifi at the hotel. Also, there are a lot of cafes and restaurants near the hotel. The hotel is a bit far from the tram station which is the best way to go anywhere in the town. Another thing is the breakfast, it costs euros but they have only bread, coffee, tea, orange juice and fruit for everyday.
The buffet breakfast was excellent and the 24 hour reception was a big plus. Wi-Fi may have been available, but I couldn't access it. Some English TV stations would have been nice, but I enjoyed engaging with the French ones anyway.
Comfortable, clean hotel in an ideal location for sightseeing in Nantes.
Clean shower which worked well. Good clear television set. Steep staircase. Appearance that there was lower value accomodation provided for "backpackers" in same building.
very pretty rooms, the hotel is situated in the city center and close to the station
proximity to city centre breakfast should have been included in daily price
Very nice staff, hotel in a good central location. The room was excellent. The breakfast was poor.
Location could not be better for the centre of Nantes yet quiet. Close to to station and tram stop and to the main shopping and restaurants areas. All the staff were charming, welcoming and professional. The room(50) looked out over the Chateau and was modern, clean with very comfortable bed. Lovely continental breakfast. We will certainly stay again any time we visit Nantes. 10/10. Nothing.
Good package, close to city centre right in front of the castle, comfortable double bed room and very friendly and flexible staff, we had our breakfast late and we left our luggages for the whole day. very nice breakfast but not included in the price (€ 10 per person).
smell of room freshener was overwhelming
Rooms were quiet, clean, comfortable and well fitted. Breakfast was good quality and with lots of choice (continental style). The location is very convenient for the old town in Nantes without being in the bustle.
extremely friendly & helpful staff. Everything was done efficiently.Recommendation of a nearby restaurant was excellent. I had a lovely room, everything was dark brown which was fine during the day. In the evening or dark in the am, the lights in the room were inadequate. A bright central light is needed.Because I left in the dark, I didnt realise I left something behind (it was small & unimportant, but useful to me).
very good location, very good staff, fair price view to the castle
Very close to the castle and the railway station. They have only a shower. No bath.
room was small but tastefully furnished with a great view although I suspect we had the best room there with the best view over the castle
The Hotel was modern, decor good, reception very helpful, secure parking, good breakfast. lacking in lounge facilities, perhaps not a hotel for young children Storage facilities in room were limited, short stay not aproblem
Air conditioing was great. Clean, tidy and comfortable. Good location
Professional staff and very helpful. Comfortable room and very clean. It was right next to the train station and met all ou needs. Nothing
The breakfast was the best sofar in France. The staff was very frienly
Clean, large room, and even though next to railway station I had a good, quiet stay. Parking was a problem
Convenience of the location; opposite railway station
The hotel was very comfortable and ideally situated for the reasons for my visit to Nantes.
tt was a good value for the money with nice bedding, clean and spacious bathroom. I wanted to stay 3 nights but had to leave after 2, because the hotel was sold out. I was referred to the Comfort Inn Astoria, which was a dump.
Proximity to sites of interest and restaurants. Parking at the railway station across a very busy street may be a problem for some people (older or with young children).
good location, cleanliness. temperature of the room is centrally controlled.
it was very central to train station and to the main attractions in the city.bus and tram service was very convienent. Breakfast was good value at 10 euro.
Close to everything. Ten minute walk to castle and cathedral and restaurant/shopping quarter. Clean room but hallways had a musty smell. Late checkout is nice for those who aren't morning people. Especially when you have 4 in your party with only one bathroom. Breakfast good. Eggs and bacon too!! No private parking. Had to park in an alley behind hotel. Hotel reception said it was at no charge and we realized the next morning it was paid parking. Web site said room was a suite. I expected a little more than just a big room with 4 beds and a fridge. You get what you pay for.
Close to town and railway station. Calm. Sympatical crew. Breakfast OK Equipment of the room
This is my second review of this hotel and I am pleased to give as glowing a report as the first one. It is an excellent place to stay, friendly efficient staff, comfortable clean rooms, copious breakfasts and very convenient for trams, trains, city centre. This hotel will always be our first choice when visiting Nantes. Nothing!
The helpfulness of staff, particularly when we needed to get our car off the street for a short time. The hotel suited our needs at the time.
Very helpful staff. Central but quiet location. Good value, clean comfortable room, for the price.
The location is excellent - just a few steps from the tram stop and the Castle, and just a short walk to the Cathedral and city centre. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable, perhaps rather small but to be expected for a 2 star city centre hotel. We reported a broken bulb and it was replaced immediately. Breakfast was fine, you could eat and drink as much as you wanted. I could park in the secure garage and the staff did not mind us leaving it there until the afternoon of the day of departure. The room was quiet, considering its location (and we were there on St Patricks night!). I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for a city break, provided you're not looking for something "plush". Nothing at all, considering this was a 2 star city centre hotel.
The best hotel i have seen!!!!!! City center, transport (railway station, airport shuttle, tram), wifi etc. here you can get all information aroun the city and you needn't to look for tourist office.
good nice small hotel quite close to central train station and city centre only bath room is very small and part time recption at the weekend.as i am travelling on my bussiness trip expecting some calls from pakistan sometime recption closed and some time the receptionast not understand english so difficult for the peoples calling me from pakistan
free wifi access
the location is good, near the train station. a little expensive
the location was great for a sightseeing trip that arrived and departed by train
Good location, friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Nothing really!
Excellent hotel in a central location. Great breakfast and newly refurbished rooms.
Hotel is within walking distance to city centre. Comfy room. There are alot of steps to go up to the upper floors (no lift). The room did have a tv, but only had french channels. Would be helpful to have BBC World or CNN to get information in relation to airport closures due to Iceland volcano.
I did like the price for one night. Breakfast was superb. Even though the personel did not speak English, they were very polite, and patient with me. Everything went smoothly. I wish to thank them, for everything. As mentioned before. The hotel personel do not speak English.
Everything is good, but they don't speak English!!!!!
it has a good location for access to the city for tourists. Staff not welcoming, room to small for 2 adults and one child, wash basin had a crack in it,not enough towels provided, hotel interior dark and worn(carpets threadbare).
Staff were very welcoming and one spoke English. Room, bathroom and breakfast room were immaculate and the continental breakfast provided was more than adequate. The hotel is situated in a very convenient location for the main attractions of Nantes being just a 3 minute walk from the Cathedral This is a 1 star hotel so had no facilities other than those needed for bed and breakfast - as you would expect. Comfortable sitting chairs in our room would have been appreciated after a days sightseeing.
There was a sign in the room that said they offered cold drinks at reception. This is not true. My room was on the top floor (4 flights of stairs) and there is no elevator. You can hear the noise of the rooms below, in my case a baby that was crying. A lot of noise from the street as well.
Quiet street, room was spacey and decorated with simple furniture, and was clean and fresh. Bathroom in very good condition. Cosy breakfastroom, pretty atmosphere. Very close to trainstation. There was no elevator, and alas my suitcase was heavy.
Very good. Room was very clean, and well cleaned every day. Nice and quite. Good location. Menu could have English description in addition to French. I was assigned a smoking room even thought I had asked for a non-smoking room but it was not a problem since I could not detect any smoke. The bed was a little hard for my taste.
excellent room - no noise from station No tea/coffee facilities in room
I do not like much. Bottom of the hotel's restaurant and as soon as the train station. Very small rooms, cramped. And nenaravitsya when shower goes straight to bed. Humidity feels misted window of the room.
Location Smell of smoke in the hall by our room
Convenient to train station was great and the convenience to the old town. The staff were friendly. I was upgraded and had a beautiful big room. Breakfast was great ... loved the pancakes!
Well located, clean rooms, good value for money. No internet access
Very good room. Great staff-really helpfu land good humoured. Food excellent. Breakfast -top class No-Would love to go there again
Very clean and comfortable rooms, just next to the station and rental car offices.
The staff were extremely helpful. The fact that the hotel is literally attached to the station (windows are double glazed so no noise!) makes up for the fact that it is about 10 minutes walk away from the main tourist attractions in the old town. When we were there, complimentary hot beverages and biscuits were available 24 hours at the lobby - nice touch. Breakfast was pretty standard and breakfast is free to guests aged 55 and above.
Good restaurant attached to the hotel. Room was a good size, clean and up to date with all necessities. Near the railway station. Secure hotel parking. Walking distance to chateau. Staff were excellent
Downtown Location This was a "mercy booking" and the only place available on short notice. This is not a 3-star hotel. My room did come with a 3-Star price... This is 1 to 2 Star establishment tops.
it was cheap, close to train station, had free Wi-fi and had a faded glamour about the place. For what we paid you can't complain
Central location opposite the railway station, city centre, major attractions and Airport Bus. Friendly and very helpfull staff. Clean comfortable rooms Old hotel which was dated
We don't have any hot water this day, no excuse and discount to give !
IT was very central to the places which we needed to visit and just across the road from the station
Very friendly staff, excellent free wireless access, decent breakfast the bathroom in the room was smelling of drains, which made the whole room smell. the door between the bathroom and bathroom would not close so could not shut the smell out. room got very hot (although cold outside), old carpet everywhere, including on the walls! this eminated stale smells. no draws or kettle in room. wardrobe was in the bathroom. walls are very thin so can here people in the adjacent rooms
close to sncf station
it's well located, near to the historical places and trainstation. it's close on sunday evening, thas bad...
Ideally suited for conferences at the Congress Centre - just 6 minutes away. Breakfasts were basic and quite expensive, would personally prefer more variety and fruit or fruit salad to be available.
The staff were very nice. The senior lady on the hotel desk was charming.
