Close to restaurants, nightlife, and transportation. Very easy to get to from the Chengdu East train station. Nice pool. 25m, not too crowded, good for swimming laps. Good views from the rooms. All the rooms smell like cigarette smoke. Doesn't matter if they are smoking or non-smoking. Went there with a group of friends and we all experienced the same problem. Standard for China, but I figured the staff would be more on top of neutralizing the odor. They were very accommodating in changing my room because my first one was too smoky. 9 Kwai per page to print at the business center is a gouge in my book.
The hotel is well located on a main street in TianFu. It is a block from the metro station. Opened less than a year ago, it is very well designed and very luxurious. My room was large and comfortable with a good bed, good wifi, and an excellent stall shower. I used the Executive Lounge and the gym, and both were high quality. The staff was excellent as well, especially the guest relations concierge, Allen Li, who remembered me (even my name) from a prior visit and was very attentive to all of my needs. The service in the third floor restaurant was very slow. The waiter should have advised us when we ordered that it would take 30 minutes for the food to arrive.
