We were on a tour.Great hotel and location. The hotel broke one of my bags .I am still waiting to see if Hilton will fix or replace my bag
I had a business meeting arranged in the hotel so I chose also to stay there. I really liked the Executive Lounge with the view and the privacy for business discussion. Also, great service at the English Bar!
Very good central location, elegant classical lobby and entrance hall
I chose this hotel because of the brand and I have to say the service I received was above my expectations. You really get the feeling of all the history and tradition of the hotel, just by having a tea in Le Collonade, their somptuous hotel lobby. I would recommend this hotel for people who want to experience more than a hotel room.
great location, luxury, great staff and service. i will definitely return to this hotel none
I liked very much the facilities, the location, the decoration and the atmosphere. It took me sometime to make the chek out and teh problems to use VISA cards
extra costs for parking an internet
The staff was very helpfull and the food in the restaurant was excelent! The spa facilities were not so clean.
I found a special offer and wanted to try the product. I liked the bed very much (large and comfortable) and the breakfast (a lot of variety and good food).
I love this property, I travel every other month to Athenee Palace Hilton Bucharest and I really enjoy the welcome back home feeling I get right from the check-in, with a very nice smile, to the health club and of course the famous English Bar. And it's an easy way to top-up my Hhonors account! Definitely a keeper.
Great Value at $95 per night and amazing location. Great staff and super fast and reliable internet. I strongly recommend. The included breakfast is really good . Bucharest is totally worth a visit . It has its unique feeling one will not find anywhere else. The door keys lose their magnetic field easily. Otherwise not much.
location and character of the building.Definitely the best hotel in Bucharest Staff are not quite up to international standards but they try.
the room the fact that i asked for an iron and it took 1 hour to get it
Rooms were clean and we did not spot anything (and we tend to be messy about cleanness). The location was excellent with the historic centre and its popular bars and restaurants a mere 5 min walk away. Bathrooms were a bit funny. You had to walk around the room from the toilet to go to the shower room to wash up. Not quite helpful especially if you use the toilet during the night. Just thought to share this but it is not a problem
The nighttime staff was not empowered to make decisions and so was very deferral when asked for help
Location AC didn't cool enough
the novotel's location is great but the staff was so rude! There was also an extra 150euro (they blocked the money) in case you make any damage to the rooms!
Nice position in the city, really in the centre. Friendly staff, breakfast was great, a lot of things availible. The room was very nice and comfortable.
Good situation and staff is very helpful. I did not see any difference between Standard room & superior room.
big rooms, staff were very helpful, food was great.
I liked everything about the hotel. we had a junior suite which was fantastic. Only gripe - bar prices about twice local average..also book on b&b basis as they charge €26 for breakfast...to compare a big mac meal costs €2.50...rediculous
The breakfast is very nice and the free internet in lobby is very helpfull. The location is excellent
The staff remember your name. The rooms are fresh and clean. The buffet lunch is excellent. The efficiency of the staff in accomodating requests quickly. The location
Greitt nok, men kunne vært bedre.
Bedre internet forbindelse! Renhold mellom sengene...
Clean hotel, nice room and bathroom, new and modern, centrally located, good friendly staff. Would stay there again for sure Wifi was out on the first day of my stay
The staff are excellent. They gave me the prefect recommendations of where to go and what to do during my free time. They also sent me up with a tour based on my personal interest. The rooms are super clean. The wifi works better than my office. Also, the restaurant has amazing food! Got to try the Trout :) The location of the hotel is perfect. It is a short & scenic walk to old town and city center. You get to see many historic buildings and museums on your to Old Town. Big thanks to Ana & Alexandra!
The style, location, quality of the restaurants.
Great location, in the very center of the city, very good service, staff always helpful and polite. The breakfast was also good (the only meal I've had in the hotel).
New and modern, location perfect. Nice things for breakfast, nice staff.
More than 10 points is possible????is the best thxxx
centrally located. Helpfull staff. Bar closed at midnight. Comfortable room but little space for clothes. Bathroom space not optimal.
Great breakfast, rooms, location, lobby as well as value for money.
The ambiance of an old world feeling. Helpful courteous staff. Fabulous breakfast in a brick cave. Elegant lobby. Large well appointed room, comfortable bed with a modern well designed bathroom. Nothing
Everything was perfect. Nothing to contest. Very clean, friendly, central place. Perfect for business trip. I will book sure again this hotel. Thanks to all the staff.
I did't understand why this hotel is rated as a 4 star hotel. Because everything is like a 5 star. Everything!
Best position, good price, very nice hotel.
The entire experience was much more that you would expect from a hotel. All the details starting from the attentive and very personalized staff service to the exquisite style and quality of all the amenities in the hotel, to the atmosphere and cleanness was the best place I stayed at in years! Location was perfect, right there in the center of everything, very safe and secure. can't think of one thing...
Everything - right down to the last detail and helpfulness of the staff. Definately recommended.
amazing room in heart of the Bucharest... good breakfast
a good room for good money in safe location and friendly staff and helpful desk and good service
Very large room. When we arrived instead of the standard room we got the junior suite, which was very spacious.
This is a 4 star hotel in the same city area as the international chains giving the same facilities at half the price
it was very quietly and the personnal was very nice
good rooms, nice staff
very clean, quiet, good breakfast nothing
The location was ideal, providing access to the historic Bucharest and most of the sites and museums.
Staff was friendly. The location is nice and quiet while still near all amenities. My bed sheets never fit properly and kept coming off. I brought it to the attention of the staff, but nothing changed. When I left my towels on the floor to be replaced, they were not replaced. They were folded and put back on the rack. The door dampers on all the entry doors slam the doors shut so you will hear slamming all throughout the day and night.
Personnel were very kind, helpful and civilized.Room was big and spacious and equipped with a/C. Television screen was way too small.
great location, and very comfort hotel.
Great central location, very friendly staff Poorer breakfast
Location is good but noisy. Cockroaches inside and outside the rooms - dread to think about the kitchen. Breakfast was poorly collected group of mass-produced products. Staff were rude. Prices were not as advertised. I could go on - a dreadful hotel which utterly stained my stay in Bucharest.
staff very friendly and helpful,, allowed me to check in early after overnight flight, arranged taxi for airport when i left, good location indicates charge for tea/coffee in room although this was actually waived when i left
Location was great and staff was friendly. It seemed a little dirty to me but was not awful.
nothing. Its a very bad hotel it shouldnt have 4 stars. first they changed the price agreed on booking.com. the bathroom was leaking. you couldnt open the windows because of insecets. At checkout i had to go to the airport. They called one of their friends and he brought me to wrong airport and i had to pay 4 times the normal amount. Please stay away from this hotel!!! They rip you off if you will be nice to them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good location no parking at the hotel The hotel advertize parking but there is no parking at the hotel
Good location. Quiet room. Hotel is a little bit overpriced. Staff didn't have change when I arrived so that I could pay the taxi driver. Air conditioning, while functioning, was not very cool. And there were not a broad variety of TV channels
Nice balcony and location. Cute boutique design a few years past its prime, but much better than usual cheap traveler (me :) hotels/hostels I stay at. Staff sometimes indifferent if attentive.
The perfect location, very friendly staff, wonderful breakfast. The hotel needs some new equipment: the frigidaire, the bathroom , etc.
Its central situation is just perfect for a city-tour. Near a park and just a few minutes walk from the "revolution place".
interior decoration, the atmosphere I booked a superior room, however what a got was only a standard one - in comparison with my previous stay. This time I paid more and the room standard was the same, if not worse. It simply was not what it described as superior room.
1. Air-condition out of operation. Promised repair didn't take place. 2. Minibar not used, however 1 drink from minibar charged. Objections not accepted. 3. 20,-E for the (hotel?) taxi to the airport agreed on at the hotel reception, finally the driver charged 25,-E.
Near the center of the city. Wireless network system is preferable than lan network
This hotel is very clean and attractive.
Good, central location. Air conditioning! Slightly strange shaped rooms. Smallish breakfast.
Staff were very helpful and friendly; good position. noisy television
Wonderfully helpful and freindly staff - despite some language problems - this is very much a Romanian hotel rather than an 'international' (faceless and slick ) hotel run by real people. Its right in the centre - midaway between Calea Victorii and Cismugiu Park, just across the road from universty and Lipiscani district - and yet its on a quiet side street. Its an old building in a deco'ish style but modernised and very clean and (I was there in -8 weather) warm. The 'suite' I stayed in was huge and had two balconies and a big bath room (not just a shower) and exceptional value.
Welcoming staff and decor and has wifi mostly available. The hotel is close walking distance to most places of historical and cultural interest. The neighbourhood is an interesting mix of one ultra modern building, several elegant old buildings in need of maintenance, a charming park with pond, monuments, churches, art gallery, theatre, restaurants.
Bucharest isn't well served at this level of the market, while there are many high-end hotels, independent travellers might end up choosing between self-catering apartments and hostels, so Hotel Carpati is a good find. It has the feel of a family business, and the whole staff recognise guests from soon after check-in. Despite the brilliant central location, the hotel is in a small street with nothing picturesque beside it, so don't expect a view. Bucharest is gradually improving its appearance, but only slowly. However, get out there, and you'll find major streets, squares parks and sites a short walk away.
Becose is in central of Bucharest.
The hotel have lift. The room's price was 31 euro, but we didn't have 1 euro, therefore we would pay by 50 euro, but the hotel's front wouldn't receive. Finally we should pay by lei. Room's key was too old. There wasn't hot water in the common shower room.
most of the staff spoke english and were helpful, breakfast was simple but adequate. free wifi in the lobby, or if you're lucky you might pick it up in your room if you're on the first 2 floors. overall it was quite a charming place. there was a mosquito problem in my room. must have killed about 10 of them in 2 days. the hotel was also quite noisy. i also didn't think much of bucharest as a city.
well situated, near to a metro station but in a quiet road. the suite was very spacious and quite good value there is only 1 double room without being a suite, the other doubles are infact twin, or suites. the twin room I saw was very small and no bathroom. the breakfast was organised rather strangely - you have to chose from 4 menus: 2 with tea or 2 with coffee - the coffee menus have no jam, but either hot dogs or ham! the tea menus have jam and yogurt, they all have vegetables!. if you want coffee instead of tea, you must pay 5 leu extra! and the rather grumpy breakfast man will not let you leave without paying! we had a laugh but it was rather strange
Very, very Clean, price and location excellent value, just in the city centre.. you can walk everywhere. Public transport near. I stayed in single room. Sink in room, W.c and shower outside (in 5th floor 1 shower, 1 gents, 1 ladies toilet in floor). There are also suites with everything inside the room I think. I stayed in november 2009, I don´t know in peak seasons but for me everything was fine, clean and perfect for my stay, no ques at toilet. Breakfast: You have to choose among 4 fixed menus.. I found it perfect for a good morning start. Staff is ok. I think that regarding location and price, it´s an excellent choice if you want to keep on a budget. Finally I couldn´t pay with credit card, I don´t know really why.
