Fordeler: "After almost completely adapting to the spartan amenities of US domestic airlines, my recent SWISS flight had a too-good-to-be-true quality that rendered my travel companion and I giddy with delight. My dinner (one of three food services) consisted of chicken, potatoes, steamed broccoli, salad, a dinner roll with butter, gruyere, and a strawberry tart... included cream and sugar signaled an inevitable coffee service. This was accompanied by complimentary wine and sparkling water, and heavy-weight stainless cutlery. The seat reclination was good, and the in-flight entertainment was a cut above. Coming off many Frontier flights with pay-for-beverage service, no leg-room, and un-reclining seats, it was about as good as coach can get. I'm actually looking at SWISS routes first before I plan my next vacation."

Fordeler: "Easy, quiet boarding and flight, USB port available, audio and sound were working, nice movie selection. Friendly and helpful crew, assisted with cough crisis"
Ulemper: "Seats from JFK to Zurich were a little bit squeezed."

Ulemper: "I ordered a kosher meal and did not get it. The seats are very uncofmfortable. When the one in front puts their seat back it goes almost in to the face of the one behind."

Fordeler: "I really liked the "About my flight" application on the viewing screens because it always gave me an idea of what we were flying over and how much longer we woulld be in the air. The food was excellent and I was pleasantly surprised that I could have wine with dinner or any time the attendants offered beveragess. The attendants were always professional and helpful. They all were fluent in English as well as several other languages. It was a nice touch when the attendant wore white gloves when he or she was collecting passengers' trash after meals and/or beverage service. I loved the cheese that was served at dinner. The warm croissants served at breakfast were a very nice touch."
Ulemper: "Due to turbulence, I could not get out of my seat as much on the return flight, so I did have some swelling in my feet."

Fordeler: "The fights themselves were nice, the crew was pleasant and the dinner itself was a very nice surprise"
Ulemper: "Wow what a cramped space- the minute the person leaned their seat back I had no room and I'm a fairly small pElson. The seat in front of me was almost literally in my lap I couldn't open my tray on their seat back unless they sat up to eat"

Fordeler: "We had never flown Lufthansa, or in a A380. Upstairs in economy with 2 seats on the right side, it was very quiet and felt roomy. Service was on-par with other European carriers, so quite good."

Ulemper: "The first flight was cancelled after we sat on the plane for over an hour. We all had to wait in line at the transfer desk. Then our second flight attempt- boarding was awful, total chaos. The flight was delayed because boarding was so long. Then once we landed late, there was an issue deboarding the flight with the stairs and we were stuck for 40 mins for this process."

Ulemper: "Once again, my flight was late. Four out of the last five trips to Barcelona Swiss had a significant delay (longer than the duration of the trip itself) on at least one of the segments. It's getting a bit hard to believe actually."

Fordeler: "Crew and overall service was great. Crew was attentive and friendly."
Ulemper: "Food wasn't the usual Swiss quality this time. Are seats getting smaller? Very cramped, no leg room (I am a 164 cm, 53 kg female). I had some black metal box in my legroom area on top of everything. It would be absolutely impossible to take the "crash position" highlighted in the safety video."

Ulemper: "Make a rule that people cannot put their seats back. People in front of us were rude and kept their seats back the entire flight, even after we nicely asked them to not have the seats back so far. Would prefer that seats did not move at all. I would never recline my seat in consideration for the person behind me. On an 11 hour flight, this is a big deal."

Ulemper: "Only reason I chose Lufthansa was that I was informed that 23kg of checked in luggage was included. It was NOT. I don't care whose fault it is. Lufthansa still says that this is included on their website. I demand reimbursement."

Ulemper: "The arm rests on either side of my seat where closed so I had limited mobility in my seat (by closed I mean they didn’t move and had no open space between where your arm sits and the top of the chair)"

Fordeler: "Nothing really of note. The plane was pretty basic and unexxceptional, but that was expected for the price."

Ulemper: "Giving economy seats with the middle seat empty does not make it business class. Very uncomfortable seats. No recline and very hard."

Ulemper: "Missed my flight by 2 minutes and couldn’t find any representatives to help me determine my options. Was left to figure it out in my own."

Ulemper: "The flight was delayed several times and we were kept waiting at the gate without knowing when exactly we will leave."

Ulemper: "The rows were so close together it was hard to get in and out of your row. If the seat in front of you reclined, the t.v. was 9 inches in front of your face."

Couldn't make my connecting flight or the flight after that because they were over booked. Then was sent to Brussels with a 4 hour layover, and missed my Saturday interview at 4 pm. Then the Brussels Airlines flight was delayed. Never again."

Ulemper: "My bag did not make the connection. Had to make a claim and was told it would be on the next flight arriving at 12:30 PM. I did not receive it until 10:00 PM at our lodging."

Ulemper: "We couldn't check in for the next flight when we departed from Oslo. Disappointed we had to wait until arriving in Frankfurt. Something about not being partner airlines."

Fordeler: "On a flight from Oslo to Germany to Charlotte, we only had 55 minutes to connect in Germany. Lufthansa held our plane due to their error in some runway and docking issues and we, as well as 25 other were escorted to our connection by Lufthansa staff. Excellent customer service even though it was their fault. They just did the right thing and did it well."
Ulemper: "I would have expected that there be much more time for gate connections. If you have ever been in the Munich airport, it is very large and navigation takes time.."

Fordeler: "Our flight from Frankfort to Munich was late. Luftansa sent a representative to our flight to make sure we and others from our flight got on to the flight to Charlotte. How awesome! Plane needs more leg room."

Ulemper: "Plane transfer and customs at Frankfort were the worst I have ever encountered. Had to go so far between the two gates that had the flight from Seattle not been 30 minutes early and the plane to Barcelona posted as 10 minutes later than originally stated, we would have missed the connecting flight."

Fordeler: "After so many domestic flights of being shuffled around and interacting with flight attendants that seem to not like their jobs much and passenger's are just an annoyance, flying abroad on Luftansa was quite a different experience! The flight attendants were polished, professional, and actually wanted to provide a service. Their interactions made me feel like I was cared about and that they wanted my unique needs to be met. This made a 10 hour flight an enjoyable experience which I certainly didn't anticipate."

One bag eventually arrived - took 3 hours second bag did not arrive and apparently did not get transferred in Frankfurt Told they would deliver bag - next day and would text and call - called at 4am !!! I just had come off 20hrs of travel. Phone on mute. No e mail. Now they say will deliver this evening - but no time slot so another wasted vacation day waiting for them to get their act together. Why can't they call/text me with a 30 minute window."

Fordeler: "Lost my tablet and it was returned to me! Great staff."
Ulemper: "The seat design at exit rows. The pouch is too far away. Made me leave my tablet behind bc it was too far. Nothing of significance to complain about. It was overall, a great flight and safety was put ahead of everything. Well done."

Ulemper: "Booked a ticket with luggage and got email saying I am at economy class. When got to check in told me I have economy light and I had to pay again for luggage. Dissaster. Contacted priceline- did not care."

Fordeler: "Nothing, we never got to go on our flight to Vienna. The only good thing is the manager, Servando, found us an alternative route after some delay. Even then, we had to haggle and really fight for fair treatment for a mistake that was 100% the airline's fault."
Ulemper: "Our seats were involuntarily given away by the airport staff. We were never notified until we were scanning our tickets to board in. At that time, we had already checked in and received our boarding passes, as well as checking in 3 bags while we were traveling with a large group. There was no way we wanted to volunteer our seats, especially since we had a transfer flight to catch. We clearly stated we did NOT want to volunteer our seats at the ticket counter. No staff notified us until we were about to get on the plane to board. The flight supervisor was very rude and unprofessional, offering us no alternative solutions. I was really disappointed with such a grievous mistake by the airline, and I would not recommend flying Austrian Airlines unless it was absolutely the only airline available. They need to fix their processes for authorizing when they volunteer a passenger's seat. This caused our group a lot of stress and almost became a logistical nightmare."

Fordeler: "Flight attendants were extremely friendly and considerate of passenger needs. In flight Wi-Fi is free in economy. Good leg space between the rows. Overall it's rare to find such good service now a days."

Ulemper: "Entertainment options are limited. Austrian flight attendants were quite grumpy on this flight."

Ulemper: "That they charge you for luggage when international flight accepts one bag per person!!! this is Nickle and diming people."

No option to pay for a second luggage; the company website very unclear about the luggage policy; no contact information as well as no web payment service; days before my flight, spent a lot of time and efforts to know that I could pay for a second luggage at the airport on my departure; 2. Paid $120 or so for the second luggage!!!??? After decades flying Austrian I will try switching to your competitors."

Fordeler: "Snacks in board included in the price. Super nice crew team. Unlike British airways where prices are higher, on longer flights there is no free refreshments and crew staff were unpleasant."

Ulemper: "Boarding in Vienna was completely unorganized. Received zero instruction from crew on new boarding information."

Ulemper: "Maybe I should ask for vegetarian meal, because the meal I got was not tasty at all."

I also was not aware of the type of a ticket I booked, e.g. Economy light and what it meant for luggage fees."

Ulemper: "I paid a premium to book a direct flight (ages ago) and then had to rerouted last minute (same day) with no reason given other than "it's our fault". I inquired about paying to change destination city and or seat to a premium seat (for the 9+ hour flight) when I recvd the reservations for the new flights that were made at the airport around 8am for flights that left at around noon and 3pm. I was told no better seat(s) was available. However, a half hour before the flight was boarded several announcements were made regarding all the upgrades that were available. Liars annoy me."

Ulemper: "The seat comfort and closeness of the passengers is terrible. And makes for a stressful and painful flight."

Fordeler: "The crew worked so hard and were always ready to do more for any problem that arose, be it, mothers with babies, the elderly and infirm, the less than gracious occasional passenger, or younger children. The entertaining things on the individual screens also helped make the long periods of sitting more manageable for young and old."
Ulemper: "I didn't like how the passengers in general, left the cabin of the plane in such a mess! The crew came through several times for refuse, so I couldn't understand. Leaving pillows and blankets should be the only thing to clear out. Maybe a note on the TV screen could say, "a tidy plane helps flights be on time :-)""

Ulemper: "Flight cancelled morning of the flight and our direct flight on Austrian Air turned into a flight on Lufthansa with a layover in Munich. Not pleased with their handling of the situation and their very blasé customer service"

Ulemper: "Our baggage did not make it to our final destination"

Fordeler: "Baggage in Riga was available the moment we got to the carousel."
Ulemper: "Passport control in Vienna was completely disorganized. This is not an Austrian Air issue. Look to Disney World for how to line up large groups of people. Yes, I know Air Baltic is low fare. I have never paid for water on a flight. At least the WC was included in the fare."

Ulemper: "Flight was canceled and I was rebooked to another airline. Terrible customer service too, polite and sorry, but only repeating their statements over and over again."

Ulemper: "It was advertised as Austrian Airlines but when the details came through afterwards only then did it state that it was a United Airlines flight. So, I can't rate this flight because it had nothing to do with Austrian Airlines. You need to update your site so that it clearly states "Operated by..." when people are booking."

Ulemper: "Cabin was crowded. Leg room was scarce, short seating space. Almost no room for sleeping if you're not a frequent economy traveler."

Ulemper: "I booked tickets via Delta, operated by KLM. They lost both of my check in bags in September, and it happened again today for the same scheduled flights. Had 4 hours of layover and KLM still wasn’t able to manage it."

Fordeler: "Friendly and efficient crew. I travel KLM often and always enjoy the flights."
Ulemper: "There were several flight delays and gates were changes a few times."

Ulemper: "None of our 4 checked bags arrived with us. This was despite ample connection time (2+ hours) in Amsterdam."

Ulemper: "Flight was delayed, landing at vce took an additional 10 minutes due to no one at the jet way. Luggage service was very slow"

Fordeler: "Seat 39A did not recline. The gentleman next to me spread his arms out a bit as he typed on his computer the entire way. So I did not get ANY sleep. Plus he got up at least four times."
Ulemper: "Except for the man next to me - great!"

Ulemper: "Nothing good to say about this flight. The plane was old with no entertainment. The sits where very compact and not comfortable at all. The food was a sweet bread and water. The flight attendants were rushing and will take a while if you needed anything. I felt like I was taking a bus with graffiti all over the place."

Fordeler: "The attendants took great care of us. Super smooth flight."

Ulemper: "Our two hour connection in Paris became 30 minutes because Air France was late in leaving Washington. So our luggage didn't make to to KLM to Amsterdam. My poor rating was because the luggage handling was really poor. Lots of flights from Paris to Amsterdam (almost hourly), but my bag showed up 12 hours later. My wife's bag took 36 hours. And yes, we checked in together. There were lots of confusing messages"

Ulemper: "Boarding was very confusing. There was an area where they were checking people's bags or something near the gate and you didn't know if you needed to stop at it or continue. They didn't collect garbage before landing. Not only did we have to take our bags off the plane, we had to carry our garbage (drink cups/food served) to the front of the plane to throw out."

Fordeler: "We got a meal for a 1h flight only"
Ulemper: "No entertainment but normal for this type of flight"

Ulemper: "... ear plugs, masks, good food or even picking seats? I remember when it was all complementary and standard on overnight flights. Oh, and the vegetarian breakfast was unfortunately poor as well. I know you can do better, because you used to."

Fordeler: "Friendly staff, good service and on time departure/arrival."

Ulemper: "After more than two hours of delay... Initially the flight takes off was at 8:35... Then 21:20... Then 21:50... Then 22:10. Finally we took off at 22:40... Refund our money klm..."

Ulemper: "The Guy who had an accident when boarding causing a delay. Also I didn’t like the wait fir checking as passengers with children went before business class and should be after."

Fordeler: "The pilot kept us informed periodically during our journey. I liked that we could choose our seating online. The entertainment was good."
Ulemper: "The plane was dirty, all seats did not have pillows and blankets. Seating was not very comfortable, particularly as there was a box attached to one of the legs of the seat in front of me, making it necessary to move my legs to an uncomfortable angle."

Fordeler: "Arriving more or less on time"
Ulemper: "Crew is awful. Disrespectful desinterested in customers find themselves very important. No service mentality whatsoever. No respectful airline would hire such arrogant self centered personalities in a service role"

Fordeler: "The crew were really helpful since I am a short person in putting my luggage away in the overhead compartment and attentive to everyone's needs. I am a fussy eater and don't really like airplane food but the food was actually really nice. We was given plenty of snacks and drinks in between meals as well. There was plenty of programmes to choose from to keep me entertained."
Ulemper: "The seats in economy were a little too small for a 12 hour flight"

Fordeler: "Overall, my trip to Cardiff via Amsterdam was smooth and delightful. I've flown a few short trips this summer and I was pleasantly surprised to find KLM still offered complimentary snacks. What a refreshing change!"
Ulemper: "There was no entertainment which is why I assigned that category only one star. The boarding process in Amsterdam could have been a bit smoother. Announcements were no clear."

Ulemper: "Small plane. not a lot of leg room"

Ulemper: "the plane was delayed. no reason giving. when boarding, it was a white plane with no markings. inside it had Norwegian signs, but probably the plane was a substitute. Once in the air, the flight was fine."

Fordeler: "Friendly crew serving my side."
Ulemper: "We were unable to have choose seat option at booking and also check in and they split us up and weren’t able to put us together at the gate. A bit light on the perks for “premium”."

Fordeler: "Crew was ok. Seat was fairly comfortable."
Ulemper: "There was no in flight service and nothing was offered. Smaller plane but our flight from London to Bergen was in a smaller plane and we were offered something to drink."

Fordeler: "Boarding"
Ulemper: "The crew very impressed and not give a good safety at the plane"

Ulemper: "Eemployees were extremely rude, the experience will make me reconsider using the airline as well as going to this particular airport in Spain. I was upset and disgusted with the service."

Fordeler: "More legroom than expected. Seats are thin though but comfortable enough for a 2 hour flight. WiFi has movies although the selection was pretty slim and they cost 5 euros! Also, the app seemed to have an issue that the titles of the movies didn’t appear anywhere so you had to guess what the movies were based on one screenshot."
Ulemper: "They claimed they had WiFi but I would hardly call it that. It was very slow and kept disconnecting. Also, had to pay for movies and even regular drinks like orange juice. I know it’s budget airline but still bothers me especially since they charge 2-3 times regular price for the food."

Fordeler: "For Copenhagen to JFK flight only: Excellent crew, satisfactory food service, very good drink service, great plane, comfortable seat in Premium comparable to old business class seats before lie flat became standard."
Ulemper: "Extremely understaffed check-in desk in Lisbon with extremely long lines took over thirty minutes of waiting to reach the desk. No separate check-in lines for Premium, since they have no Premium service from there to Copenhagen. No Premium seating or services available from Lisbon to Copenhagen. No staff or facility at Copenhagen airport to print boarding pass for transfer passengers until gate agents finally arrived."

Fordeler: "Flight home had an open middle seat"
Ulemper: "Flight over was too crowded"

Ulemper: "The hot meal was awful! Even the stewardess wasn't sure what some of it was!"

Fordeler: "Very intuitive self drop-off service, helpful and friendly staff"

Fordeler: "I have liked Norwegian ever since I first flew with them. So my meal was something I ordered and looked forward too on a long 8.5 hour flight. I actually tell everyone that it is my favorite airline"
Ulemper: "Even though I paid the fifty pounds for extra bag and "nice and tasty" food they didn't bring it as they said it was not on my ticket. When I asked where my food was, long after everyone had been fed, they brought me what was left over. A spaghetti and chicken which was warm and not "tasty" and I do not normally eat chicken. It was the only thing left. For the breakfast snack they also forget me until I asked again. The the "nice and tasty" meal was very sad and disappointing. And when I have travelled with Norwegian before the meal and entertainment were excellent. Also when I arrived in Barcelona "transit" to Newark there was no one advising up where to go! They dropped us en mass at the immigration which was huge and packed with long, long lines. When I asked people in uniform where transit was they told me I had to go through immigration! An hour later when I went to the immigration booth, the officer took me directly upstairs to another security check and then I was told to wait in an area and my flight would be called. Nothing. And when I went to the flight they said my bags were unloaded! All the Norwegian offices and checkin were closed for the night. My phone would not work there and finally I found wifi and called Norwegian in London, They gave me numbers and company names to call. But there no one to be found or connected to. At seven o'clock the next morning when Norwegian opened I was able to be put on the next flight on Sunday, two days later. A terrible transit like I have never experienced before."

Fordeler: "We were delayed. Did good time still.... nice and polite flight crew.."

Fordeler: "The flight attendants were very rude. One didn't want to asssit my 8 year old when she couldn't open the door. They kept waking me up to put on my damn seat belt."
Ulemper: "The flight attendant yelled at my 8 year old . They didn't want to help my daughter get out of the bathroom. They stood there rolling their eyes. Don't think I'll be back on that air line"

Fordeler: "Comfortable seats"
Ulemper: "They didn't load enough food for the flight so didn't receive a hot meal"

Fordeler: "Everything"

Fordeler: "flights were on time."
Ulemper: "loud passengers and at least water could be for free... its a 3 hour flight!!!"

Fordeler: "It was a fairly quick boarding, even though we left 20 minutes later than expected. The wifi on board did not work. The flight was comfortable and went by quite fast."
Ulemper: "I didn't enjoy the fact that 30 minutes before boarding there was already a tremendous queue. Even though this queue had formed, they somehow managed to take long enough to leave late."

Fordeler: "Easy, on time, cheap"
Ulemper: "No food or drinks for free (even water), but you get what you pay for! Was super cheap. Bunch of drunk Germans didn't help - but not their fault"

Fordeler: "1 hour flight. Good magazine with interesting articles."
Ulemper: "Boarding was a bus gate."

Fordeler: "The seat, bathrooms, videos."
Ulemper: "After boarding we waited an hour in the plane to begin our flight and once we landed it took three more hours to find an open gate. In those three hours most of it the lights were off and the pilot/crew just didn't explain to anyone why we were waiting and when they finally told us how much longer we would have to wait (after an hour had past) we were told twenty minutes only to wait an hour for another updated time of ten minutes only to wait another fifty. Then once off the plane I found out they sent my checked bag with all my clothing in it to Norway instead of NYC."

Fordeler: "Free wifi, friendly staff, clean modern aeroplanes"
Ulemper: "Late as usual."

Fordeler: "Nothing"
Ulemper: "They CANCELLED the flight 2 minutes BEFORE TAKEOFF (yes, takeoff... we were already on the tarmac). They did NOT give us vouchers for food or hotel. They placed us on a different flight more than 12 hours after the departure time of the original flight. The service was deplorable. The flight attendants (inside the plane) were LAUGHING AT US because the flight got cancelled. I am not joking. I am NEVER using this airline a again."

Fordeler: "Nothing. Norwegian Air didn't even give us the chance to like anything about them."
Ulemper: "We arrived at the airport running a bit late due to a holiday change in public transportation schedules. No problem, though, we were keeping a close eye on the time and were confident we could still get through security and to the gate before they closed the doors. We'll never know now, because we weren't allowed the chance. The automated kiosks would not print boarding passes because it was too close to flight time, and when we attempted to approach the service desk, the attendant in front of the line would not let us approach. Yes, they actually had a "bouncer" on their service desk line. We were instead directed to "flight services," where the employees apparently receive special training in not caring about the travellers' issues that are brought to them. We were informed in a very bored tone that our money would.not be refunded or credited toward rebooking a later flight, and we were offered the "opportunity" to book a later flight at about two and a half times the original price we had paid, plus a mountain of fees on top of that. We opted instead to take the train for a fraction of the price with an arrival time similar to tyat of the new booking we were offered. Suffice it to say, this company will never see another cent from me. I'd advise you not to throw your money away on them, either. If anything at all goes wrong with your travel plans, they won't hesitate to rake you over the coals."

Fordeler: "We had a great experience with Norwegian. The aircraft was comfortable and clean. The crew was very friendly. I thought the entertainment selections were great- they had a good number of movies (new and old) along with some games. Purchasing our tickets through Kayak, we had an e-ticket which included meals and check-in luggage. A great deal all around. We only brought carry-ons and there was enough overhead space to accommodate everyone on board-something that is becoming increasingly rare as people try to avoid checked baggage fees. The meals were tasty enough."
Ulemper: "We couldn't check-in online for some reason so we had to check-in at the airport. There were some longer lines and we didn't need to check any baggage so it felt a bit like wasted time."

Fordeler: "Clean plane"
Ulemper: "Lack of organization with boarding"

Fordeler: "Business class was great! On time flight!"
Ulemper: "Random turbulence"

Ulemper: "We were unable to check in online. Had to arrive earlier for check in. We had a connecting flight and the check in person wasn't able to print the boarding passes for the connecting flight so we had to stand and wait in line in London again. We were told that there was a free wifi but we e didn't good a good enough signal. No USB outlet to charge the phone. No entertainment. You have to pay extra even for a glass of water"

Fordeler: "New plane, free movies & good food"
Ulemper: "Loud rock type music for 20 minutes before take off."

Fordeler: "Baggage claim"
Ulemper: "Entertainment"

Fordeler: "Service is amazing, check in to departing to arriving ALL amazing - also your onboard magazine has such awesome material to read Norwegian you are amazing thanks soo much...WE shall book you many many times again. wowwwwww"

Ulemper: "The women working the check in counter at JFK were some of the most unhelpful customer service representatives I've ever dealt with. Upon arriving at the counter I was told I would have to pay $130 for my 21in bag to fly one way. When I asked why that was the woman just stated that I did not pre-check my bags and this was Norwegian's policy. Being that I had a 2 HOUR layover with the same airline I had to pay for my bag to be checked into 2 seperate flights. I asked if it would be the same policy for me to return home and the woman simply stated that she did not know, she does not work for Norwegian. Why on Earth would you have people that do not work for Norwegian answering questions at the Norwegian check in counter?! I asked how much the bag would be to come back, once again "I don't know but you can look it up online". So then I asked if I'm expected to pay around $200 for a 21 inch bag that would be considered a carry-on on any other airline and she just stared at me - I guess she knew the answer to that question huh? My suggestion would be to hire people to work the check in counters that actually know how to answer questions customers are asking because there is nothing more frustrating than having a representative dumbly stare back at you or tell you to look it up for yourself."

Ulemper: "As per the way in to Madrid the flight was again late of 45min - Took Norwegian Air 4x times in the past 2months and every arrived with at least +25 min late"

Ulemper: "Announcements were only in Spanish"
