My girlfriend and I stayed at Tres Palmas for 1 night on a Friday in June. The location and staff at Tres Palmas were definitely its best assets. The staff was helpful and the room was clean. The hotel was right on the beach, and only about a 7-10 minute drive from Condado, an area full of restaurants and shopping. For the price, this hotel was definitely worth it.
Clean, pleasant staff, lovely facility. Only lack was breakfast offering, weak coffee...
The lace is on the beach , great part of town
Over all great stay and location Not much parking
Tres Palmas was extraordinarily comfortable, clean and friendly. Everything has been recently updated. The staff was wonderful and extremely helpful with knowledge of the area and the available tours, car rentals, etc. It has wonderful outdoor spaces which feel like an extension of your room. The room itself was large and airy with a full kitchen and very large shower and bathroom. Facilities were more than adequate for this small hotel. You never felt crowded or rushed. The ocean is literally steps away, with many people taking their morning coffee across the road to sit on the seawall. The road is local, small, with excellent, raised crosswalks. We never felt concerned about traffic crossing to the beach. A few steps down to the beach and you are in a crystal clear ocean. The water sports offered were terrific. You could even take wind surfing lessons. You need something to use to microwave your leftovers. The dishes are not microwave safe. It was a small thing, but buying some paper plates was all you needed to do.
Chef Jerome was amazing. The outdoor showers were different and an awesome experience. the zen music and overall vibes from the guest house were truly amazing and I couldn't have picked a better place to stay. The dreamcatcher was like an oasis. I feel recharged and better overall after staying there for a few nights. Truly it is a unique and life changing experience! The distance between our room and the bathroom was a bit far, especially in the middle of the night. You have to walk outside in the dark if you are staying in an artist room. But I guess bags apart of the whole experience.
This place is run by some buddhist (?) owners, so the atmosphere is very pleasant, peaceful and quiet. Guests have the possibility to take part in the community life (for example to join yoga lessons) but are not forced to anything. The only limitation is that if you want to use the kitchen, you are asked not to make meat as it is strictly vegetarian. The rooms are very well designed and very clean. The public spaces are also very nice and clean with a lot of trees, bushes, gekons and birds. As the house is in the gated community just one vlock from the beach, it is away from main traffic and therefore very quiet. We felt like in another world and did not mind at all that there are shared bathrooms only. I highly recommend to stay in this place if you want to rest.
I loved the helpful staff and community vibe. The best part though was how magical everything looked and felt - it seemed like a tropical secret garden!
I like that hotel was right on the beach and we got chairs. The room was nice and clean. I didnt like breakfast, because we couldnt choose anything else, just from eggs and bacon.
The restaurant views, the entrance and the location, ocean front! Room was not a pictured! Very small, old furniture, old doors, old bathroom cabinet, the room smell with humidity, you could hear outside noises. Will not recommend or stay again.
It was peacefull it was hard to drive up to it
The staff was very friendly and helpful--some of the best I've ever encountered in my travels. Beautiful location right on the beach, but not convenient for travelers without a car as the buses are neither frequent or reliable. Also- the hotel sits adjacent to an area that is not just unsafe, it's dangerous. Three short blocks from the hotel are gates that are closed to vehicular traffic and pedestrian traffic at dark. We were told by many that it was very unsafe to walk, even in the early evening, and were also advised not to be on the beach after dark other than directly in front of the hotel. A taxi or car is necessary to go just about anywhere. The hotel is rustic at best and looks like it hasn't seen much upkeep. The absolutely superb staff makes up for some of this, but overall the place is lacking.
nothing room was not made up by the time I was to check in, air conditioner was not working & I was told I would have 2 twin beds only had 1 queen. Horrible-will never stay at your facility again & will tell my friends & family not to ever stay there too
The proximity to the water. We like to walk on the beach. The restaurant overlooking the ocean. Bed was firm. The windows of our room overlooked a storage room and the window treatment were the cheapest plastic louvers you can buy = employees are in your room.
Staff were freindly but slow getting drinks or requests about room- Hotel had lost my initial reservation and gave me an "upgraded room". Hot water for shower was minimal No hot water, drinks are pricey as is the food from the restaurant, "scarey" location for whites!
The food was very good. The location on the beach was perfect. The proximity to old town Puerto Rico was good (short bus or taxi ride). The menu/carte was often inaccurate, with several choices unavailable. This extended to the cocktails at times. However the food and drinks that were available were very good.
Great on the beach location. Food from restaurant was excellent. Access to hotel and hotel area is via gated entry which can cause problems especially during high traffic periods on weekends and such. We had difficulty getting our taxi into the property when we needed to go to the airport. Rooms are a bit dated and worn.
