The hotel was absolutely lovely; exceptionally nice for the money; quiet with luxurious details. This hotel is extremely far from tourist attractions. It is catered more to business travelers.
Staff were friendly and helpfull , everything was exeptionaly clean We found it a little expensive in relation to the facilities available , but I suppose it was bank holiday and maybe it just that it normal for rome ( city) or infact the outskirts costing around 60euro per day in taxi fare!!!!! For two return trips
Staff is friendly. The Internet in my room didn't work.
Excellent choice for events taking place on Stadio Olimpico (location, room, comfort). Reception services.
Big & clean room, hotel service are good, in area of good restaurants. The room was underground \in feel al little claustrophobic, the room decoration was old .
The staff and service
Got two adjoining rooms for a family of four (but really for a single room rate) which was unexpected and worked out really well. Room was very luxurious and pretty good size by European standards. A little far from the city center and hard to find (even for the local taxi drivers)
Nice and quiet hotell in a safe area. Beautifully furnished. Clean room and bathroom. Polite personell. Don't write in the description of the hotell that it is close to the city center. You still need to take a bus.
Friendly staff, excellent amenities in the rooms and very clean hotel. At night, the area also became very lively (with mainly an Italian crowd) due to the nearby restaurants and bars even though the location is not in the city centre.
It is very nice garden in hotel but they dont make breakfest there and is not coffe to take from afternoon
The rooms were clean and air-conditioned. For a 4 star hotel you would expect to be able to get a drink during the day but was told the bar didn't open till 5pm. We arrived at 9.45pm at night and were unable to get either a drink (the bar had closed) or something to eat and there are no restaurants nearby.
Very beutiful place around, very silent, clean air.The room clean. Wi-fi very expensive.
The staff was very friendly. They help us in everything we need. A little bbit far from center but a stop bus is just outsise the hotel, so, you just have to take bus 911 till the end and then bus 910 till train station if you want (that was what we did).
Internet access was very expensive at 15 euros/day especially for a tourist who is always out on his tours. It could be ok for business travellers though.
nice room, friendly staff, clean. it has it's own parking and a lot of places to walk.. private connection to the city center, or at least to the nearest metro station. it is far away from the city center and you need 2 busses to reach the center. i personaly changed hotel before the reservation period ends.
The room cleaner was amazing, leaving the room spotlessly made up every day! Very attentive. The hotel was nice, clean, and in a quiet location, with a relatively decent breakfast. Getting from the hotel to the city is difficult and time-consuming. There is only one bus that comes about 2-3 times per hour, and goes to Piazza Mancini in about 10 minutes. From there, you must then take another tram or bus to go anywhere in the center of Rome. This was our main complaint with the hotel.
Facilities are perfect for this price. Big room, nice bathroom. 5km away from city center inside garden with plenty of trees, fresh air. Very poor breakfast for 4* hotel. Definitely needs car, otherwise with buses (2 buses at least) it will take like 1hr. to reach the center.
The room was comfortable and the garden was nice. I would recommend this hotel only for business trips. If you're looking for visiting it is very far from the monuments. Hotel staff was very unfriendly. It was difficult to get to the historical city - I had to change 3 buses to get to Vatican, for instance. The restaurant was not up to the 4 stars standard of the hotel. You could easily hear the guests in the other rooms. The shower tub was plugged, the water drained very slowly. There were only 12/15 channels on TV. Almost all of them were in Italian, only CNN was in English. The TV was very small. The choice of food for breakfast was very unsatisfying.
The hotel is great and worths the money. The double bed consisted of 2 beds put near that was moving easily one from another.
The design of the lobby, the decoration and staff attitude. a little too far from the center but in area with good connections
Position is convenient if you're by car Quite oldy
We loved the staff, they were very nice. They really need a restaurant in the hotel, it was very difficult walking or driving for meals.
although the hotel is located outside the historical and center of Rome, but it is very easy to find transportation to the historical places, esp with the assistance of the hotel staff who never hesitated to assist me. a worm thanks to all the employees and staff of the hotel
Outstanding service by the staff. They were helpfull and very polite. Too far away from Rome downtown, so late at night, the taxis are not willing to take you back.
Cheap. Parking available. Very helpful staff.
Helpful receptionist. Good broadband connection. A good location if you do not mind using public transport. There were a few things that were broken and needed fixing in the room but there was no one to do the repairs. The room needed some tlc to bring it up to standard. Cost 20€ per day to park.
Professional stuff... nothing
Safebox didn't function. Batteries for the remote control for TV were flat. Carpets in the lower plans were dirty
Aircon. Balcony. Helpful staff. Location. No bar, no room service, even for drinks. Minibar with only one small bottle of water.
Very nice hotel with excellent view from breakfast floor
As it was my first trip to rome ifound that having a comfertable hotel near to shops and restaurants near by was good. No everthing was fine very pleasent
Courteous staff, everything went smothly. The room was nicely decorated and well furnished. The minibar prices weren't too bad. Internet wasn't wireless. The room was a bit small...it felt a little bit crowded.
The Happy Village is located just outside Rome, only half an hour from Ciampino Airport. We were welcomed with english speaking staff who were very friendly. Our little bungalow was very sweet with only a 2 minute walk to the stylish and well priced restaurant and delightful pool. The food was the best we had in our whole weeks stay in Rome. I recommend the 1/4 jug of prosecco and scrumptious bucatini pasta dish! The other guests were from all over the world and the whole place had a lovely relaxed atmosphere. No need for a car at all - the shuttle bus was regular and the trains were cheap and quick. An ideal stay for a relaxed visit to the busy city of Rome. Perfect for romantic couples, families and the retired. N/A
The huts were real value for money and the little gardens were perfect for relaxing with a drink in the evening Although the site states that the shuttle bus leaves every hr this is not the case in the evenings, so we had to wait 1 1/2 hrs with our luggage at prima porta train station on the first night. (Phone to check bus times before you arrive)
Good bus service and friendly bus driver Food market: It's not a market, it was very poor and prices was even higher than in centre of Rome. Restaurant/bar: Prices is same like in Rome centre but they don't know nothing about good food. Lasagne was horrible (worst lasagne in the world). And they added table fee and bread (I not ordered bread and I not touched bread too but still they ask money for bread). This service and food was not worth for table fee (no service fee = good service & good food. service fee means always bad food and bad service and this restaurant confirmed it again). Room: no toilet paper, bathroom radiator was cold (it was horrible cold in bathroom, and there was no place to dry your clothes), and room was dirty and of course nothing matched with pictures. :)
The peace and quite in the lovely surroundings
Happy village was the second camping villlage that we stayed in italy, and definitely more comfortable and cleaner than the first one. We liked the village. Only disadvantage is its location, if you want to spend more time in Rome nights it is not the right choice.
the food for breakfast was worth the money and was great!
rural taxi fares too expensive when shuttle bus was full
We loved the environment and the hospitabillity, very friendly and helpfull staff. The bungallow where we stayed was very warmy. The only thing that we think could be improved is the schedule of the shuttle (from happy village to prima porta station), that would be great to be extended after 22 o'clock.
The bungalow was too close to a noisy generator or wash room. We booked bungalow with air-conditioning, this we were told was communal & therefore not able to be adjusted to our individual preference. it was tuned on to a heating rather then cooling system, so we could not have it cold.
The staff was very kind and helpful. The only thing I could mention here is: as the village is located far from the city centre there are a lot of people who want to take the village's own bus to get to the city, but it is very small, and the people have to wait an one hour if they miss due to not enough space. You should use a bigger bus to have all of your guests satisfied.
The hotel met or exceeded our expectations; however, the hotel restaurant did not. While the food was good, the staff ignored us and waited on local customers that arrivrd after us. Do not eat here!
Excellent location. Easy access by metro.
Very clean (a very efficient and nice housekeeper); we felt secure; the free breakfast was satisfying; the proximity to train station was excellent (across the street); it only took 20 minutes to get to Rome; quiet; free internet that was very reliable. There was no elevator so carrying suitcases up to our room was difficult; the room television had no english speaking channels.
calm, peacefull stay, easy bus route to town no facility for coffee or tea making in room, everything else was what i wanted from my break
It is hard to find the hotel, there is no sign at the door. Entry and exit is not comfortable. Religious symbols everywhere. Poor breakfast.
it's a nice feeling to go to a hotel run by nuns in the city of 900 churches, Rome :-)
Rooms are very clean, stuff is friendly and helpful. Location is poor, difficult to reach from the city center.
It was a quiet environement, good for relaxation. Clean rooms and nice staff, though only 1 staff spoke english. The nuns that managed the vila were nice to people. Not necessarily very important, but the breakfast was very very light, not enough to start the day. Ok for me though.
