Fordeler: Nice, comfortable, decent-sized room with good air conditioning. The courtyard/pool area is really nice and breakfast was excellent. The staff were really nice too. Good location around 5 minutes walk from the centre of town, about 15-20 minutes from the nearest beaches.
Ulemper: The rooms all face into the interior courtyard and have shutters but no glass so there's not much sound insulation if people are making noise out there, though that was only a problem for us on one night of our stay.

Fordeler: This hotel was really well prepared to host families, having strollers, a special room to change babies and kids, as well as provide milk and some fruits for them. There was also constaint entertainment special for kids and a room for them to play with a dedicated person from the hotel staff. The quality of the food was really good compared to other all inclusive. Coffee was also really good. Alcohol options were also good although there is room for improvement here. There were swimming pools in different areas of the hotel, which were continously maintained. Each of them had their own bar, in case you want to have a drink. There were also different open spaces for kids to play which were really cool. Regarding the rooms, we were given an upgrade, getting a much bigger place which was really nice. Air conditioning worked really well (it was really refreshing when getting back there) The beach is great, and the hotel has a lot of vegetation which brings a really nice atmosphere. The staff is super friendly, always with a smile on their face, ready to help. The trip from the airport to the hotel was around 20-30 min by car, which is pretty convenient.
Ulemper: The WiFi was not good in some areas, specially in the rooms that were far away from most amenities (like the ones in Villa Resort). The restaurant "a la carte" was good, but could be much better to make it special compared to regular buffet restaurant. I also got just 1 dinner there in 8 nights, when in other all inclusive you get more dinners in those kind of restaurants "a la carte". Also, to get to the beach you need to cross a street, which is secure as there is a person taking care of managing traffic, but would be nice if you do not need to do that. Seems this is the situation for all the hotels around that area in Porto Seguro. In terms of the room, the TV we had was pretty small compared to other hotels, and also the quality of the image was bad, seemed an issue on the Cable box.

Fordeler: The bars near to the swimming pool were very nice and the areas for kids were also very good. The staff concerned to kid's recreation were very kind and funny. The variety of swimming pools were, in fact, a plus! The family suite was very good, with plenty of space for the whole family (2 adults + 3 kids). The beach in front of the resort was clean, with calm waves and the bar was also a plus. Very good for long holidays.
Ulemper: The Spa-services were poor. The first things I asked was for a massage and the person in charge was on holidays... how is that possible? I mean, it must have someone available all the time in case of guests wants to relax with a massage (paying for it!). I tried to book a boat travel but there was a very limited possibility of days/time. I also missed a better explanation about the activities offered by the resort, it took some time until we found the kid's clube. The bars next to the swimming pools could have appetizers or snacks too, only the pool next to the main restaurante has food nearby.

Fordeler: This all inclusive resort is perfect for people who want to really relax, enjoy very good food, pool, beach and gym. Everything is well set out, built with style and tastefully decorated. Our room was large and had good quality furniture. The pool is large, and very clean. There is a games room with billiards which is good quality. The food was exceptional... great variety, always fresh, delicious flavours. Between the pool bar, the snack bar and the restaurant, there was always something to eat or drink... right up till 10 pm. Cocktails available all day were very well made and served with a smile. (included in the price too.) The entertainment staff were great with our teenagers, and made them feel at home. The beach is plenty long enough for a good walk every day, and very clean, and not at all crowded. We even got to see baby turtles hatching and waddling out to sea! Temperature of the water was very nice for swimming, and the lifeguard was out keeping an eye on us. I would definitely return... a perfect place to unwind and relax.
Ulemper: the only thing that was not good was that the internet didn't work all week... now for relaxing and getting away from it all, that was actually a good thing, but not when we wanted to quickly translate a Portuguese word! However, they did give us access to the administration internet, which worked in one office area of the hotel, so we could keep up with necessary communications.

Fordeler: Very new rooms (or recently refurbished)... very clean. Small but nice pool. Kids area good for children. Comfortable beds. Excellent location near the beach and many restaurants. Breakfast had good coffee, delicious light, fresh bread rolls each day and very tasty bananas. Their own restaurant was also good quality food served with a smile, and surprisingly good value for money. Reception staff were always very helpful, giving us advice, booking a tour to the reef for us, and patient when we didn't understand their Portuguese.
Ulemper: Breakfast could have had spreads for bread such as strawberry jam etc. Toilet paper wasn't very good quality. Didn't have any shampoo/conditioner provided.

Fordeler: This hotel is wonderful. It's a short walk (less than 5 minutes) from the beach and there are a bunch of bars and restaurants on the beach nearby. The beach nearby is beautiful by the way! Everything about the hotel was perfect, the staff, the comfy bed, the amazing pools, the breakfast, etc. I would definetely come back to this hotel.

Ulemper: Too close to Arena Axe-moi which has quite loud concerts and parties that may be an issue depending on which apartment you’re located at and when is your stay.

Fordeler: We were looking forward to staying in Pousada Beijo do Vento since we booked the trip 6 months ago and we were delighted with what we encountered. Like most of you, I have seen the pictures and read the comments on Trip Advisor before going and I can tell you all, the photos do not do justice to the beauty of the place. It was the first time ever I was more impressed with the reality than the photos. It is absolutely gorgeous. We booked room 1, the best room in this 10 room Pousada and it was worth every penny. What a view!! The varanda blends with the natural reserve around seamlessly and the fact that there are no barriers to protect the edges just adds to the charm (not a room for kids). From the start, the whole week was very impressive. Check-in was easy, staff lovely and helpful, the grounds were spotless and the gardens were manicured, which for Brazilian standards, is very impressive indeed as it is a wild nature country. Big shout to Marcio and Nathan for the reception and the always present smiles. The room was just perfect for the two of us. Simple, clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. The bed was excellent, with orthopaedic mattress as posted in a recent review. And to make it even better, a mosquito net all around the bed in perfect condition which allowed us to sleep most nights with windows open and forget the very good AC in the room and just feel the night breeze. The shower was great, even though the shower head could have been bigger, the water pressure was very strong and the bathroom was beautiful. The large sink in wood was a bonus as it had more than enough space for all our toiletries. The place is safe, protected and secure. (My husband is Brazilian so we can tell you... We have been to hotels in Spain where we felt less secure.) We could have slept with the door open if we wanted. The swimming pool area is a lovely space and again, provides exceptional views of the sea below. Nice sun-loungers, with mats, and a great deck.

Ulemper: We booked a sea view but the busy street is between the hotel and the ocean. We would have liked to have stayed on a higher floor to actually enjoy the sea view and not the traffic.

Fordeler: Free parking with security, nice pool. All the staff is super nice (except from a lady receptionist who did our check-in. Never a smile in the 4 days we stayed). The staff speaks good English, the hotel is the place to go for foreign tourists.
Ulemper: Value for money. The hotel is nice, but doesn't justify the price to be double of so many other nice hotels in the area. Breakfast is OK, but I would expect more if comparing with similar hotels. Had only one option of fresh juice (other two from the machine) and should be mixed sometimes to avoid letting just water in the bottom. Omelets had to be paid separately. Could have more variety of fruits, cakes, cold cuts.

Asked for a glass at around 10pm and was told to call the hotel's restaurant to ask for the glass. Restaurant was closed by 10pm and no one in the reception was able to provide a glass. Simple things that could be sorted easily.
