This place has a great location on the beach. Other than the AC messing up the room was great. Bed was comfy, nice pillows. Parking was available. The A/C didn't stay on at night and it got hot and the cold, then hot again.
The Ac was nice & cold, short walk to the beach The receptionist said there were no other rooms available & gave us 2 queen beds even though we paid for a King bed room.We were supposed to get a King bed but didn't, the room was cleaned in the evening & was remade with Sandy sheets on the bed. The ice bucket was never cleaned or poured out.
Everything. The beach the people was so friendly. Super clean amazing place I will be back with my family. I don't have nothing bad to say thanks for be so friendly an professional. I will recomend this place..
Location, right on the beach. Service, we waited an hr to get checked in because there was a mix up with our reservations, even though we request a king bed and paid the upgrade to get a beach view, ended up with a standard room with 2 queen size beds (since there not any others available). Also not very clean, was once of the poorest looking Hiltons I have been too in a while.
Loved the beach front access, comfortable bedding, and the helpful staff. If you don't mind a short drive, check out Peg Leg Petes - amazing seafood. Native cafe breakfast was top notch and was a quick walk from the hotel. Great location Parking was a bit tricky as there was another event at the facility but we found a spot after a few laps of the lot.
Beach access, clean, good beds. Received, without requesting, a complementary room upgrade. Very pleased.
I like that they had a buffet style breakfast. I love you can walk to the beach and shopping areas all around .Great restaurant and bars live music was great. No complementary breakfast like it said. Sheets had holes carpet was dirty.
ALL Aspects However I need a receipt for my stay.
Location was great amenities were fine. The staff was very nice. The bed was not comfortable, price too high, I was locked out of my room several times due to the card box malfunctioning on my door. Had to wait outside one the hall several times for someone to let me in and had to go to the front desk to have the issue resolved which never got resolved. It was unacceptable.
The staff is great! The food quality is excellent for a hotel.. Of course the location...The views of the Ocean are wonderful.. everything is within walking distance. Bed was worn out , The linens were threadbare, and the pillows were so flat..no amount of fluffing could make them usable. The room was obviously worn and in need of painting and refreshing. .
We did like the convenience and location! The rooms were very outdated. Carpet was dirty in room. Probably will NOT STAY there again....
Our room was very clean. (And I am picky). Bed was perfect. Location was great. Staff was helpful. Will absolutely stay here again. Wish the out door pook was heated.
Clean, friendly , close to Navy base and shopping.location Location, friendly accessible to main streets
easy to find My first time in Pensacola i stopped to rest for the night me and my babe but unfortunately me being the housekeeping manager of a very large condo in Panama City Beach i am going to check to make sure i'm getting value for my $$, upon check in i was told by the front desk that in case i had any issues with the unit i can give them a call..... 1 - spots on pillows 2 - no pillow protectors, one of the pillows was very nasty 3 - sheets were dirty 4 - tried to call the front desk none of the buttons on the phone don't work dial tone is the only thing working 5 - towels weren't so bad i can give them a pass on that one ending.......i will never stay there again. REMEMBER FIRST IMPRESSIONS LAST!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good size room. Clean and comfortable Smelt like smoke
Clean room, comfortable beds, nice tv, nice bathroom, large parking space Door handle broken, toilet too long to flush, exhaust fan ineffective, trucks parked all over and attendant slow and not accomodating
the cost The room had a musty smell and you could hear a lot of noise from the other rooms.
Roof over our head's. Please do an inspection.
Super quiet, right off I-10, ajcent to a small mall with 8+ restraunts. Sheets were clean. Got the 79$ rate just a few hrs before arriving, so pretty cheap for two full beds. A/c was spot on for temp which was important to us. I chose this place bc it was close to our long day driving distance limit and because all the hotels nearby (150$) range were full. Great clean waffel house next door. Our room was grimy - tub, walls, carpet (i wore my flipflops). The faucet was loose, & toilet didnt flush without a couple tries. There were no xtras like a pool, or breakfast. It was older style with stairs at the ends and middle of the 4 long buildings. No elevators so the stairs could be a prob for less mobile folks.
Room was dirty smelling. Bathroom smelled of strong urine. Toilet was dirty as was the floor and baseboard. Light broken, ice machine broken. Yes free coffee but not coffee. More like brown water! We got in late after driving all day through terrible storms. We were too tired to move to another room. I didn't feel comfortable in the bed knowing how dirty the room was being a discount hotel should not mean amenities should be broken, dirty and lacking attention! I totally regret spending my money here!
Liked how close it is to Corry Station. Easy access for more time to spend with my spouse after I'm off work for the weekend. The bathroom was a kind of dirty you can't clean. The mirror was cracked, they only gave us a sheet and very thin "blanket" that was more like a decoration curtain they threw over the matress. The fitted sheet wouldn't stay on and was originally put on inside out.. Besides the floor sagging and us feeling like we could fall through at any time, the carpet felt dirty. Like years of spills gone ignored. The Ac unit worked and I'm thankful for that.. If you're planning on bringing your wife or kid here, don't. The area was close to base but very very sketchy. Many homeless approached us close to the hotel asking for money. One even had the audacity to ask me to go to an ATM with my wife to get 12.50 for him.. Some of the other patrons of the hotel were very loud and seemed to be dealing in some illegal matters (the smell of the smoke said enough) but the hotel did nothing. The staff was friendly enough. We will not be staying in this particular hotel again. AGAIN. Terrible area for a wife and kid or young family. I wouldn't ask my wife to stay there alone.
Location is beside a bar so it got a bit rowdy at times.
I loved all of it. For the low price per night, I got an immaculate, clean room with clean bed, sheets, bathroom, towels, AC and flat screen TV, and even a coin-operated laundry room, so that you can take clean clothes onward. If you complain, don't stay here. Go and pay more somewhere else, please. For the price I paid, under $60, I have nothing to complain about. Complainers should go stay at 5-star hotels and break their backs paying for a higher rate.
The entire staff, even employees you met in the halls went out of their way to make us feel welcome, comfortable, and assist us in every way possible. The suite was spacious, well-equipped and well serviced every day. Their breakfast buffet and happy hours Mon. through Thurs. eve. offered a wide variety of foods and drinks. Both my husband, myself and our granddaughters thoroughly enjoyed using the pool, which was very clean inside and on the decks and the equipment in the gym appeared to be in great condition. The location was fabulous; across the street from the bay yet within walking distance to downtown Pensacola with it's parks, museums and restaurants. This place is definitely a 'keeper'!
Hotel was clean and very nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was very good with large variety.
We have stayed at this hotel several times without any major complaints. The few issues we have had were always addressed in a timely manner. The breakfast buffet is good and the rooms are clean.
We enjoyed our room accommodations, the very friendly stafff, and the wonderful full breakfast buffet. We hope to return. Great place and location.
My family and I had the Best Experience her at the Residence Inn Downtown! We have already made plans to go back before the summer is over. Location/Breakfast/The Best Staff/Price..you can't go wrong-Home away from Home!
very friendly, courteous staff, good breakfasts, happy hours in evenings.
The best hotel experience ever! Staff were friendly, rooms were spacious, clean and quiet and service was great. A good central location too. Complimentary breakfasts were excellent: scrambled eggs, sausage, grits, doughnuts, bagels, toast, fruit, cereal, juice and more. Complimentary dinners were amazing and homemade: Red beans and rice, burgers and baked beans, meatball subs, beer, wine. These people take great pride in delivering a great service. I will definitely stay here when I visit Pensacola again next year.
Place was great will return here for sure.
The hotel is nicely located directly on the beachfront: you walk out the back, go about a hundred feet over a causeway, and you are on the beach, steps away from beautiful Bay water. Breakfast is nice--nothing exceptional, but as good or better than most mid-range hotels, with hot food that is fresh and not greasy. The rooms are clean and neat, and the hotel is laid out so that all of them have beachfront views and balconies. If you leave your balcony door open at night, you can nod off to the restful sound of the waves breaking on the shingle. A nice escape, and a taste of what it's like to live the life of the wealthy retiree... Alas, I had to come back to reality after only two days!
Location. Large room (412) great view!. What I did not like was the cleaning chemical smell of Pine-sol. Appreciate the cleaning but the smell was overpowering Location. Large room (412) great view!,
Great place nothing
We had a great young man that was working the desk when we checked in, Hugo. He gave us some wonderful ideas of places to eat. we would recommend this hotel. It is not far from the beach or downtown area.
We had to switch rooms because I found bugs in the bed and between the mattresses
Car alarm every 40 minutes all nightlong
It has a historical feel mixed with a hotel. It was very beautiful and clean in. however the room service forgot to put our breakfast in. We mainly went to this hotel for the room service and history and we did not get it. After two hours we called and they told us they forgot to put it
Loved the attention to detail.
Historic site with style with efficient caring staff. Nothing not like about the treatment or amenities, everything was fine.
Historic & Elegant hotel with a downhome feeling. Just the place for relaxing. Convenient to shopping and restaurants. I wish the windows on the revolving door were cleaner, and the windows overhead the inside breeze view were cleaner so you could enjoy the sun beaming through clean windows. But even with that it was beautiful.
This is a very nice property that is clean and comfortable.
We enjoyed our stay very much , the staff was very professional, and helpful, the rooms very nice !! I rate it a great place to stay AAAAAAA+++++++ I only wish they had a laundry room
Good location and clean rooms Price is little too much
Nothing They didn't clean my room, they didn't bring me fresh towels, it was extremely dirty. I'm not sure what the workers were trying to fix but they started banging and making a lot of noise around 5 AM and didn't stop til about 1.
Nothing. Disgusting place. Dirty. Fleas. Other bugs. Smoke smell. Horrible. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Buyer beware.
Everything was wonderful. The staff was very kind. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was very tasty. That I couldn't have stayed longer in florida! Seriously though, there was nothing I disliked about my stay.
I was double charged for my room. Called the hotel three times, they said call kayak. Called kayak they said call the hotel. Neither one fixed my issue. So my 100 dollar room went to 200. I will NEVER use kayak again or stay at this hotel. I was double charged at another hotel just last month and they took care of the issue within two days. This place refuses. I like the hotel and have stayed 5 times before to meet up with family while I am here training at NAS Pensacola. It was a good place. However, knowing they cannot resolve this means I will never go back. Please management, don't write a response either, just give me my money back.
The beds were great and the breakfast bar was ok but the carpet and hotel as an overall needs updating real bad I think they stopped shampooing the carpet and vacuuming the hallways the wallpaper is coming down in some places of the hotel. For the ones saying nicely redone carpets you must work there One staff member that was rude and unprofessional that worked at night, all I can say is if the door is left open to get coffee where the breakfast bar is or even get a bowl of dried cereal "don't" she will call you out in front of other guests hollering which is totally unprofessional not to be in the breakfast bar area. The manager I talked to the next day assured me she would never do that again but as for me ever going back I would not. There staff member just lost them buisness along with 3 other couples I know when I told them about my experience there
Friendly staff, clean comfortable room, free breakfast, LOCATION, LOCATION,LOCATION Congested parking, possibly due to construction. EWTN not available on TV
We stayed here 2 years ago and they have updated since then. The rooms are a lot nicer and updated now. The pool and lounge area were nice. The free breakfast was good. The floor needed to be mopped. The floor turned the bottoms of our feet black. We also had a weird issue with the card reader on the door not recognizing the cards. It would take several attempts before it would read the card.
friendly, helpful staff; clean room parking - had to park on a slope away from my room
Location. Within easy walking distance of downtown eating, bars, and shopping.
Staffs were very friendly and professional. Always greeted you with a smile. The king size bed was comfortable. The ice maker by our room didn't work so we had to go to the other building. And the pillows were very old and not comfy at all.
Perfectly located between beaches and where I needed to work. Construction was a small inconvenience but not bad.
The rooms were basic, but clean for what they were. Thanks for the help! It was currently under renovation which made getting around a little rough. The only real complaint I have is about the breakfast. It was worth every bit of free that I paid.
Staff was great, very polite and helpful. The pool was great, the room was clean, overall good value for money. The bath tub wasn't very clean, the bathroom smelled and didn't have an exhaust, the room felt humid.
Very friendly staff. Everyone greeted us with a "good morning" in the morning, which is rare for a hotel these days. We paid about $70/night for our weekend stay. I've paid $50/night in the same neighborhood for a similar quality hotel. So while this hotel was fine, I would choose a cheaper one next time (or ask if they could give us a discount to $55/night or so).
Our reservations were not there when we arrived. We were 50 miles away when I called to check our reservations when I was told we did not have one and that they had been booked for days before. A nice way to find out! Will not use this again! No rooms available in the area.
Good location on major highway. Clerk not welcoming or friendly. Outside doors were supposed to be locked 24 hours per day, never locked. We never could get shower to work; no phone or clock in room. No mini refrigerator in room, even though my confirmation said there was. Coffee maker in room; however, no coffee for it. Asked desk clerk, said does not supply.
Even though it said there was constructing going on we had no issues. Everyone was friendly. Very clean.

Clean roomGood breakfast Swimming pool close at night
It is a Hampton and consistency is always a plus no transportation to the Airport Cab fare too high.
The staff was very nice and friendly! Room was clean, quiet and very comfortable! Location was not what we expected but was convenient to restaurants. No vending options other than over priced drinks and snacks from the hotel.

Big suite, clean and great breakfast! Fitness room is small
It's convienient location
The hotel was a great location for us!Room was nice and roomy! The beds were very comfortable!
Very good service and staff was nice and friendly. We will consider this for our next trip. Asked to do a little extra cleaning and they did. Thank you
The location of the hotel was exactly what we wanted. The breakfast was fantastic! N/A
The rooms were very clean and felt so roomy due to the very high ceilings.
Not much Staff nowhere to be found, both at the front desk or on the phone. Staff refused to accommodate a simple request that someone check for a lost item in a room already vacated. I do not recommend anyone stay here.
VERY CLEAN!!! Very Friendly & Professional staff upon arrival. N/A
The hotel was a decent value, and it seemed clean and well managed. All staff members were kind and overall the experience was good. The hotel is right off the interstate; as in, you drive straight off the ramp into the parking lot. That was a little confusing and kind of a pain, but maybe not really their fault. Also, I had difficulty finding the laundry room.
Everything was great, from the breakfast, to the room and the staff was fantastic. We were on our honeymoon and the staff upgraded our room for free and they even gave us champagne and a card. The breakfast was awesome, you had tons of options. Even the staff in the hallway greeted you. We always stay at the Hampton inn but this one was by far the best. If I had to complain about something it would be the elevators. They kept breaking down but they were serviced in a timely manner and it wasn't anyone's fault.
Free breakfast, close walk to beach.
It is inexpensive and convenient. The property is run down and old.
friendly staff, closeness to highway, value for the money little too far from beach
Proximity to highway The price was ridiculous: $165.00 per night! The room was just okay and not the cleanest.
This place was $48/night so I wasn't expecting much - and I didn't get much. The room was clean but everything was showing its age with rust on the chrome lamps, the tissue box holder, the sink, faucet, etc. The shower curtain rail was sagging badly so I had to jam a facecloth in the ring to keep the curtain flush against the wall. But everything worked, tv, lights, clock and that's all I cared about. Breakfast was OK if you like cereal or waffles.
The location is good and it was easily accessible. The staff was friendly; they always said "hello" or "good morning" when we passed them. They are flexible; we needed to check in early and that wasn't a problem nor did they charge an extra fee. Also, the girl working the front desk had a difficult/demanding customer ahead of us and she handled him very professionally and kindly. That was very impressive, and immediately put me at ease knowing we were staying with very friendly people. Although our room was clean for the most part, the room and most of the lodge could use a little TLC. The interior is overdue for a paint job and some of the furniture needs replacing; our desk chair had huge stains and one of the drawers were broken (my dad tried to fix it even though we didn't break it, because it was bothering him and he's the handy type). The shower had a fairly large crack in the wall and it kind of needed a good scrubbing. The toilet in our room liked to run forever after flushing (but my dad fixed that too). None of this takes away from an overall pleasant stay, it's just things that I'd change to make it better.
