There was a bed, bathroom, small fridge and a tv. So if this is the bare minumum you are looking for, it is offered. However if you are looking for an experience, I would not reccomend. Cleaning staff regularly ignored the "do not disturb" sign and came in whenever they pleased. This was unacceptable. The "free breakfast" advertised was charged to my room at an exorbitant price ($50 for two meals) for the stale bread, cheese and ham that was offered. It is also a 40 minute walk from the Arc where I was led to believe it was close by to all the sites. Would not reccomend.
close to RER,METRO
Hotel is in a lovely location with 2 stops on the metro to the centre. Very small however we felt we had struck lucky with this one! Fresh towels daily. No english tv channels and no safety deposit box in you room however the hotel will put personal belongings in their main safe
The hotel was in an excellent location for my purposes as I was visiting to do business in Neuilly-sur-Seine. The staff were friendly, efficient, and very helpful. They helped me to change my Eurostar tickets after I had to stay on an extra day. The room was comfortable, clean and bright, and there was cable TV and a small fridge in the room. The price was excellent value. The buffet breakfast was a little expensive at EUR 12.
The location was excellent for a visit to Paris... just a few meters from the metro station Pont de Neuilly on line 1. Shops and bars directly next to the hotel but no noise problems. Room was rather small. Internet without wifi would have been useful.
very friendly staff
near by the metro station if you need a taxi, make the reservation by yourself. Do not trust if they say the taxi reservation is made and will be on time.
Perfect location: lots of small cafes and shops around and close to metro Neuilly Small rooms and poor isolation between them: I woke up by the buzz of my neighbour's mobile from the next-door room. Can imajine, how he felt when I was having sex with my girlfriend?
The location. Close to La Defence where we had our meeting and not to far from the city centre.
Close to the metro station and in a good area. the personnel was terrible, recepcionist was awfull.
Very clean room and bathroom, comfortable bed, pleasant staff, very good value for money Bathroom very small, and although the hotel itself was quiet, during a Saturday night stay the neighborhood noise was disturbing
Not bad, quite expensive, especially when you factor in that you have to pay €21 extra per day per computer (we're two people with two laptops) for internet, plus quite a bit more for taxes and breakfast and parking. Ultimately our €475 room came to about €750 per night with all the extras. Room service food is outrageously expensive - €36 for breakfast - plus tax, gratuity, room service fee, all comes to about €55 and that's if you don't tip the guys either. And, watch the bill, they have habit of charging for extra items that should be included in your breakfast set. The staff were mostly efficient but cold or indifferent and the maid's service was either dumb or lazy or both. They'd always miss things or forget to clean our room or leave the breakfast tray in the room while cleaning everything else. I guess that's room service's job, not theirs?
The level of service of the Hilton Chain and its luxury
Service was excellent, and the Purple Bar was Fantastic.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Refreshing to get this kind of service...
central location in room tv very bad overall: choice of channels, image, etc air con would only heat and not cool-only way to sleep was to open window
Location great, friendly helpful staff, they had flowers, champagne and cake in room on arrival, beautiful touch.
I was pleasantly surprised that such comfortable and business-friendly property at the heart of Paris existed. Aside from the rate, I think the hotel was excellent in all aspects for a person travelling on business who has a little spare time for some leisure. As I stated, I thought the rate was a bit on the high side given it's location.
Pleasant and helpfull staff ,good atmosphere in hotel The hotel has a lovely bar however at 14 euros for a beer you won't stay long
The room and comfort of the bed and friendliness of the staff could not get selection of movie channels and had no confirmation from the engineer sent to the room as to when it would be operational again.
Utsikt romstandard noe enkel ift pris
Kun SKY tv for engelsktalende gjester.
The Training Centre (Gym) was not available during my stay.
Ingen kjøpsmuligheter for drikke & snacks.
Bor her gjerne igjen :) Vi opplevde flere ganger at resepsjonistene stod å kranglet åpenlyst. Ingen god opplevelse for gjestene, og virker svært uprofesjonellt.
Location and attention to detail by a superb staff
Location, style, very friendly and professional staff at front desk and concierge Room not very spacious, no gym/spa
Great atmosphere, helpful staff.
location & style
We loved the central location, across from the Louvre and the Gardens of Toulerie as well as the view of the Eiffel Tower. Sightseeing, shopping and all types of dining were within walking distance. There was nothing unpleasant about this hotel.
The staff was most courteous and helpful. The hotel was very convenient to the heart of Paris and many of its attractions. I recommend that reservations be re-confirmed prior to travelling to avoid any confusion.
The view from our room was beautiful, the location was close to everything. Appreciate the security since being down town elevators only worked with room key. For someone who does travel solo at times this was a nice peace of mind. Staff was wonderful and accommodating.
Clean large rooms, friendly staff Wifi was tough to navigate, but worked well.
Staff spoke English and French professionally. Hotel was clean and no non-sense. I don't like how city taxes are not included in the initial hotel price. This is more a problem with French regulation than with the particular hotel. All hotels in France seem to do this.
Loved the shower and bathroom. Bed was also good. No real free TV channels available
Old world style. Staff excellent. Very personal.
great location, good staff, large room, happy overall Quite expensive. The early morning noise mentioned by some reviewers is true & we experienced this on both days of our stay.
Hotel staff, services, Staff courtesy
The staff - everyone is very helpful wifi should be more accessable almost everywhere within the hotel
Very good location just few steps from Champs Elysees and metro station. prices
The Sofitel Hotel is well located and within walking distance of the Champ Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe as well as the Charles De Gaulle Metro. This allows for good connectivitey. There are also some good inexpensive eateries nearby. We mentioned that we were coming on the Honeymoon in our notes but we were treated as if I was the Sole occupier of the room. The Honeymoon touch was missing a bit especially since we read about another review who were treated specially for theri honeymoon.
Hospitality of hoel staff At 29 euros per person, breakfast is quite expensive.
The location is just fantastic - the hotel is located in 2 minutes walk from the Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysees, with nice shops and restaurants all around! Hotel staff is nice. Breakfast was very nice with a good variety, a bit expensive though (31 euros per person, free for kids). Free internet in room (luxury room). Variety of tv channels was very poor.
Severly understaffed and any service requested takes quite a while. Rooms were not cleaned on on time, until we requested specifically to clean them in the evening. Turndown service was done on 1 day of 4. Used glasses from the minibar were not replaced for 3 days. Waited 1 hour for check-in after arriving at 4pm on a Friday. etc.
Atendimento da recepção e concierge. Housekeepers should make less noise and be more gentle when closing the room doors. They should start working after nine o´clock and attend the customers requirements more acurately. Matress is too softy and unconfotable and unable to provide a good sleeping.
The rooms are great as are the staff.
Overal was good. Room service selection was limited in choices. I Bar only have French Menue and no English. No English Channel on TV only CNN. Mentioned above
airconditioning was not very effective despite my changing the room.
Hotel was under construction (and for quite some time apparently) so I'll spare you with the details of what that means when you are trying to catch up on some much needed sleep. Staff responded poorly to this situation that was not communicated ahead. Very dissapointing. One last thing, te hotel seems to be weel located because few hundred meters from champs Elysee but it is quite a dead area at night.
Great location, great hotel, great staff! They upgraded us to an awesome room with a spectacular view for free the attendant was very nice and helpful.
The staff is really nice, the facilities are modern and is very very close to all the good stuff and the Ecole Militaire Metro Station which let's you go basically anywhere. It a very good hotel and I would definitely recommend it at the right price(4 star hotel price) The hotel is good but definitely not a 5 star. This is a good 4 star hotel in my opinion. The facilities are modern but not fancy and the rooms are super small, I know, this is europe but my room in a 4 star hotel in downtown Bruges was much bigger then this one and cheaper. And my opinion is not based in just that, I'm also considering that I have stayed at other 5 star hotels(in Europe and other places) and they are definitely better. I wouldn't consider this a 5 star hotel. A very good 4 star hotel, FOR SURE, but NOT a 5 star.
