Staff were very helpful and attentive. Was very overpriced. Room was very small. Peeling paint and brokenb handles on wardrobe door. Only had twin beds rather than a double which is useless for couples. No hotel lounge only a bar. Inadequate ski boot room. It was not a double room but a twin with a third single bed thrown in. Big difference.
A good atmosphere in the bar and the young staff were excellent. Restored my faith in the younger generation Double room was a bit on the small side.
Lovely staff who tried very hard to help, the atmosphere was friendly, food very good, large portions and well cooked. Easy internet access. Good location. Staff needed pre-season training to know where basic things like the ski storage under the hotel were !!. Hotel seemed disorganized, but it was the start of the season though, sure they'll get it together. Cooked breakfast was available from 9am, a bit late for skiers, but at the time I stayed, no chef was available in the mornings to cook it. Shame as there were others who wanted it too !!
nice stuff, location in heart of city, perfect apres ski bar in the hotel poor breakfast, very small room
charming accomodation and surrondings .stunning scenery, peacefull and relaxing but adventure/sports available.very helpful staff.highly recommended.
Enjoyed the atmosphere of the hotel and foremost the room, especially the hide away bed in the top of the roof for my children. Perfect summer location. Breakfast was tasteful and staff friendly.
Stayed at a family room which was very clean and looked nice. Well maintained. There are a good jaccuzi and sauna at three star hotel! Restaurant was closed, so we should have been down to the center.
I enjoyed coming back from a day on the bike on the mountain and relaxing in the jacuzzi looking out over the bottom of the slopes and watching the paragliders fly around. The room and the rest of the hotel are beautifully decorated and the staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is expensive, so we instead had breakfast in the local cafes which are plentiful.
I am 50 and I stayed at the hotel with my 22 years old daughter for skiing. Nice cosy hotel, fine rooms (small but not tiny) with nice bathroom, well maintained, super staff, very helpfull and polite, speaks english very good - could not be better. The breakfast was ok and the dinner was superb. good ski room with boot heaters. 2 mn walk to the free skibus, wich also goes to the centre of Morzine.
Beautiful facility, quiet location and staff who were very considerate. No internet service in my room.
Good location, charming hotel, good cuisine (although somewhat experimental which is sometimes risky), staff/service in restaurent excellent. -Noisy nights/interruption of night sleep because of pub at basement floor: unacceptable for 3star hotel. Moreover the management did not really care about the situation. -Manager of the hotel very unfriendly, indifferent and not proactive in information sharing: very much surprising he did not care about his hosts and had a very arrogant attitude. -Fireplace only lit during the weekends? A pity since it took away much of the charm. -Sauna/jaccuzi/swimming pool: unpractical booking system, swimming pool not open in wintertime (whereas indicated it was) and not always extra towels available and bathrobes only available for suite room. -Restaurant: no sparkling water available during 4 days... No pragmatic solution available in the meantime, not in line with 3star hotel standards, to my opinion.
freedom to come and go, access to excellent walks, swim, view of mountains, access to town. Polite friendly staff. Quietness (Sept) minor :unable to make a warm drink in evening
Great chalet, unique rooms, clean fresh and great views over Morzine. Would definitely stay again and again!
The location was very good with a magnificent view as the hotel stands a bit higher than the rest. It was also very quiet and comfortable as well as very clean. Overall we had a nice stay as our room was very cosy and warm. There was no wi-fi and no lift.
Convenient, nice rooms, great breakfasts.
Everything was well run and all of the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
A well run, friendly and relaxed hotel with good amenities and fantastic setting. Madame Directrice was a little unfriendly when we pointed out that they had charged us for too many breakfasts.
Lovely hotel, short walk to main part of town. Staff were friendly and very forgiving of our not being able to speak the local language. The facilities were great and well maintained. The rooms were unbearably hot in the afternoon however we were experiencing a bit of a heat wave. The inside pool temp was too cold (the outside pool was lovely though). We were not able to take advantage of the great onsite restaurant as they didn't open until 7:30pm which was too late for our toddler.
Excellent staff and facilities. Well located for the bus stops and easy walk to town and the nearest telecabin. Would definitely stay there again. The beds were a bit small.
Hotel owner was the friendliest ever - he was so nice! Lovely outdoor pool, lovely view from room and breakfast room. Very friendly hotel - will definitely return and recommend to friends
Nice interior design. Friendly staff. No
The attention to detail, especially to the children
Front desk staff and owner could not have been more helpful, nice breakfast each morning (fresh apricots, fresh plums, eggs cooked to order, local cheeses, baked goods), beautiful location, owners have a yellow lab whom my child adored, room was rustic but very charming, clean, and nicely done, good bed, nice balcony for sitting and looking out. Internet service, while free, was spotty, so almost impossible to stay connected. Parking is tight (free but not enough available spaces for all guests). No air conditioning. Windows don't open in the two-story room, but the door to the balcony provided some relief. However, my son who slept upstairs with no opening windows or door, was very hot (in July), so we had to move his mattress downstairs on the second night.
Bed uncomfortable, pillows big, hard and not down or feather. Room not what we expected (very small, not what we call south facing except on balcony).
Excellent rooms - spacious and modern. Hotel was virtually closed down (for 2 months before ski season starts) Disappointed no restaraunt and bar open in the hotel. Continental breakfast in room ok but expensive for what we got.
All the staff we're very helpful and curtious on our arrival I wasn't as happy with our room allocation so they we're very happy to show me another which was the one I'd seen on the website and wanted so all resolved in the end. Our Food was exceptional in the Resturant! Even though I believe this hotel is a non-smoking hotel there was a smell of cigarette smoke up on the landing which of must of risen from the Reception area in the Hotel and my husband actually saw the lady owner of the hotel smoking at reception which was not good! Also beds were quite hard!
Location of this hotel was fantastic, right on the central square of the town. Very handy for the local bars and restaurants.
Friendly staff, central location. Excellent restaurant 'L'Atelier' with superb food in beautiful dining room. Comfortable room. Lack of a shower. I would have thought these days most people prefer to shower than take a bath.
practical. near the center. However the name is not very visible so we couldnt find the hotel easily.
Location Location Locaiton. Owners seemed nice. Fairly typical Morzine chalet style hotel, in a classic junior suite the decor was very dated, a hand held shower in the bath, very poor sound insulation between rooms. There was a wedding the night we stayed - I would have appreciate being told about this in advance - load music was paying until 1am which you could hear all throught the hotel
The breakfast and dinner were great value and the hotel staff were always helpful and responsive.
Good location. Very helpful staff. Clean facilities.
Food is first class, especially the cheeseboard. Renovated rooms are nice, the swimming pool and Jacuzzi are a welcome feature after a hard days skiing. The staff are extremely friendly , helpful, and speak good english. Highly recommended for a half board ski hotel, in a great location for the main ski lifts.
Hotel was fairly clean, room small and functional, in need of updating but fit for purpose. If taking a bike (especially a large downhill bike) there are curved steps to negotiate down to the bike room, so not easy to get in and out. Reasonable location, easy ride to lifts. Slightly limited breakfast. Nice swimming pool and garden. Would recommend as a good value hotel to stay when in Morzine. Could just do with a big of updating, slightly more choice for breakfast would be good. Easier access to a bike store.
Food and freiendly
In general everything very nice. Only the wifi was broken in large parts of the hotel, so I could not access it from my room. That was a bit of a hassle. According to the hotel manager (who was very nice) they had had a problem due to a storm a few days before my stay. Very good breakfast (for French standards) and excellent 4 course dinner.
I like the food which it was good ,i like to ski and the skiable domain.
We had to cancel the booking at short notice due to a cancelled flight. The hotel helped us rebook and did not charge us any cancellation fees. When we got to the hotel the staff where absolutely fantastic. The pool was great after a days mountain biking. Location is near to lifts, closer to the Super Morzine than the Pleney. I regularly visit the area and this was one of the best places I've stayed for location, value and facilities.
We didn't know what to expect from a chalet in Morzine; stars aren't reliable indicators because they're all around the 2/3 mark. We were there for the thrills of summer sports and mountain biking and in all honestly we expected a bed and a bit of grub. What we actually got was an absolutely lovely little chalet, with simply fantastic staff, and - I'm not a foodie by any stretch of the imagination - but the food was phenomenal. For half-board dinner, there wasn't one night that we thought about trying a little restaurant somewhere down the road. There was no point; dinner was - and I can't stress this enough - fantastic. Don't be daft. It was awesome.
Nothing. Unhelpful on reception.Beds very hard, uncomfortable. Very basic drab room, not as shown on website, as was the hallway. Certainly not a 3 star hotel.
Perfect for families with children, very good location, very good value for money, excellent team and services offered. They could improve the the amenities in the bed room.
Very good value, excellent food with interesting five course dinners and a great fondue Savoyarde on one evening. Lovely clean newly refurbished room under the eaves on third floor with beautiful wood ceiling and a fab walk in wet room type shower with loads of hot water. Comfortable beds too. Fantastic ski to the door location next to the Morzine lift and 'road train' stop for the Super Morzine / Avoriaz lift just outside the ski room. Free underground car parking a bonus in bad weather, especially if doing the Geneva ski weekend thing. And the pool was great to use after a days skiing as well. Perfect really. Breakfast was a bit chaotic, no spoons, machine made coffee, weak orange juice etc. but the hotel was such good value and the dinners so good it didn't matter. Not keen on TV's being on all the time in lobby, dining room and so on.
great location literally next to pleney ski lift , basic but very functional , all thats needed for skiing or summer sports.staff good owner very helpfull , we had a great time & would definatly stay their again
Relaxed, friendly service and very accommodating hosts. We extended our stay by around 7 nights and were able to keep the same room at the same rate. Fantastic. The weather has been fantastic and fresh air great. The lack of coffee/tea making services in the room.
Friendly, clean, helpful. None
Great location and the staff were very friendly.
Le Grand Tetras was an absolute find. Super nice staff, incredible food (and lots of it), and we would definitely come back. Very, very highly recommended.
Great staff who made it a pleasure to stay there. Good location, only a few minsutes walk into the town centre. The multi pass is excellent, saves you a fortune. Good clean room, basic but get what you pay for, lovely balcony overlooking the mountains. Will definately go back.
Staff were very attentive and helpful which made the stay much more enjoyable. Good reccomendations on local restaurants as well
Its a good, basic hotel - nothing too flash but it has a great location 5 mins from the main bubble lift and the centre of town. Very friendly staff, clean rooms. They could make the bar area a bit more comfortable
Hotel staff very helpful and friendly, facilities typical of a 2star hotel. Very convenient location with an excellent view from the small balcony.
We found the owners of the hotel to be welcoming, charming and helpful! The rooms were more than comfortable and the location is quite central without noise. The breakfasts are delicious as are the evening meals. Nice view of the mountains and slopes. If I would change anything, I would add a "shower wall" protection to the bathtub....but this is only a small detail!
Attentive, friendly staff. Very peaceful and relaxing stay. Excellent access to town and countryside. Lovely pool.
The location of the hotel is excellent. There is a pedestrian bridge right next to the hotel, which takes you over to the centre of the Morzine village. Also, the telecabins that take you directly up to the Avoriaz ski domain are on the other side of that bridge (five minutes from hotel). The hotel is in a calm area and there is plenty of parking. There is also a sauna and jacuzzi. Most of the rooms have balconies and wonderful views. The hotel is family run and there is a warm welcome. The buffet breakfast was good and generous. The sauna and jacuzzi are only open for two hours in the evening. Also, the sauna is not always switched on. The floor beside the jacuzzi is also very slippery (we witnessed a couple of falls!) There is also a bizarre system with the keys: they must be left at the hotel when you go out, but the key rack is on a wall in the lobby that anyone can have access to and it is not watched (there's not a real reception, and it's not staffed all the time). Anyone could walk into the hotel and grab a key at random. I wonder if they have ever had any thefts from the rooms. There is always someone from the owner's family on hand, but they are more behind the scenes (in a back office, in the kitchen). Hopefully they would notice something suspicious.
Close proximity to town center without being in the actual town. Breakfast choices limited. Hotel front doors closed relatively early (11.30pm) so whilst we were given a code to key in, all lobby and reception lights were out and not on any sort of sensor.
Staff were very helpful with good local knowledge. Friendly and accommodating. Swimming pool great. If you were staying there in the winter there is quite a walk to the bus stop or chair lift for skiing.
The staff were extremely helpful, made me feel very much at home. Felt like I was with a family.
