Room was clean enough, bathroom worked, all the basics were there. I ran the fan all night and thus the room was quiet enough to sleep in. Its main business seems to be weddings and other big parties, so bar and restaurant VERY crowded and not available to guests who want to have a quiet drink. Door to hotel does not have automatic open button -- crucial not only to those with mobility issues, but anyone with a lot of luggage. How is that even legal in 2016? Breakfast included but there's not enough seating, so it gets loud and crowded. They use styrofoam cups for coffee. Again, I must remind the hotel, it's 2016. The decor is **very** outdated. Forest green carpet in the room, vertical strip wallpaper -- from the 80s or 90s. Was fooled by high reviews into thinking this was a nice place to stay when it in fact it is just adequate.
I really appreciated the attentive service. Front-desk staff were incredibly nice.
The hotel was perfectly located for us, near the train to head to Manhattan and near universities. We were on the back side and our window looked down upon the trash.
Front desk not accommodating
The rooms are comfortable and clearn and there is a really bar and restaurant connected to the hotel. It's in a subburb and has a completely different feel than the "big box" hotels. Love the nice breakfast spread they put ou the morning which is included in the room price. There's also a very nice pool and courtyard.
We like the room, continental breakfast & convenience of train to the city. Train is a plus. Sr.'s can buy a SENIOR train ticket at the TRAIN STATION, otherwise buy train ticket at hotel & walk approx. 1/2 block to train. VERY nice older hotel. It is an older hotel but everything is very nice. We like the continental breakfast. Parking. Train to the city is great, can walk 1/2 block & get on the train to the city. We have stayed at this hotel numerous times.
Very impressed, felt luxurious not outdated! Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, loved it!
It is a great location, just a block away from the train station. Went here to get away from distractions and focus on work. Got a nice size room, all the amenities that I need and with room service, I never had to leave my room for anything. Perfect place to get quiet and work done. Not that it bothered me but the decor is a little outdated. But a desk still worked as a desk and furniture didn't break on me. If I was going to the hotel for an actual leisure trip, the tv might need to be upgraded.
Front desk was very friendly at check in. We attended a wedding here and staff were less friendly after the event (less we had been drinking but not belligerent). Walls are thin. We were woken up at 9am by housekeeping knocking on other peoples doors. There appeared to be water damage in the ceiling and bathroom needed some maintenance.
Staff, parking validation Room key was glitchy- didn't always work on first try
The room was HUGE, even with two beds in it. The usable desk/workspace pretty much ran the full length of the window wall, allowing me to spread out some presentations I was working on among the conference materials I had collected. Spacious bathroom...that then goes to the negative category. They do have a white noise machine in the room, which came in handy. I was able to check in an hour early, so that was nice after 14 hours of travel. Validated parking for the underground garage was a plus, too. There was a lot of disappointment. I was on the 11th floor, right near the elevator. While I didn't really hear too many people in the hallway (mostly cleaning staff), the late night ruckus from the street could be heard well into 3 or 4 AM (where the white noise machine comes in handy). Every emergency vehicle going by could be heard loud and clear. To put it mildly, the windows are not sound proof by any means. The bathroom is beyond dated. Old tub, clunky showerhead that sprays everywhere except on you, and shower curtains that leave a gap on one side or the other because they are not wide enough. LOUD flush on the toilet lets everyone on your floor know you just took a poo. My first night I realized that I was missing a mini-fridge, which the front desk though was odd (I think they thought I was lying). They put in a request, but I never saw anyone, so I had to make another request the next afternoon while I was attending a conference. It was there when I came back that evening. The lighting is a miss-match of fluorescent, LED, and halogen bulbs. Some dim properly, others are all or nothing, making it difficult to find a happy medium once the sun goes down. For the price, I might have expected a little more, especially with a Hyatt Regency name on the door in downtown Morristown. I think that a Hyatt House would have been cleaner and more elegant of a stay, which is sad. I would stay here again, but only if my conference is there.
Hotel had no record of booking.com booking. Checking took half an hour. In the end they honored the reservation but I need assurance this won't happen again if I use booking.com
Scents and cleanliness. I am a new mother and was severely disappointed that after a long day of travel and late arrival, the refrigerator in my room was broken and resolved not by changing my room to one where it was operational so I could store breast milk- instead I was brought a warm one from storage.
I absolutely loved the Heavenly Bed!!!!
I stayed there as I was attending a wedding nearby. It was very convenient and the accomodations were top rate location is very good everything is nearby
The staff was great. Helpfull, attentative and very frindly Training of the resturant staff needs improveiments. The bartender reached into the reserve bottle of bar nuts with his bare hands and refilled a guests serving plate. A waiter at breakfast handled bagles to be toasted with his bare hands - in and out of the toaster. Most of the chairs in the bar were soiled and badly in need of cleaning. In the room the cover was falling of the HVAC unit and the window frame fell apart when I opened the window for fresh air
Luxury great size room. Easy parking. Quiet area. Very comfortable bed. The bathroom was a bit to the small size.
Can't give much of a review. Was there on business for one night. Location was convenient. Exterior was impressive. Room was nice. I was not expecting much, so it met my needs. Would stay again.
Everything, services and everything they did to make us happy The bed a little be, it was like not what I was spected i Think they can have a better mattress
Breakfast was horrible tv was broke and I set the alarm clock for 8:00 am and bring they cut the power off for a min the alarm didn't go off getaway was awful
Good location. Reasonably clean Hotel needs to be updated. Bathroom was small and cramped. The hotel is in need of repair. The restaurant closes too early.
I was very dissatisfied with our stay. I planned a last minute staycation with my daughter. The weather was menacing so I looked for a place in the area with a nice indoor pool. What they don't tell you in any of the descriptions on the Sheraton Paraippany is that the pool is part of the Atlantis Health Club and, evidently, anyone can go for the day (I imagine there's a small fee). We were swimming in the already cramped single lane of the indoor pool. I was already dismayed that, even though there were many little ones swimming with their parents, they still excluded us from the other two roped off lanes--one was reserved for lap swimming, and the other for kiddy swimming lessons (with MANY kiddies, one of them screaming at the top of his lungs for the entirely of his lesson). I noticed pieces of food, cereal and other garbage, laying around the pool, while the life guard sat there, allowing kids to balance themselves on the divider ropes, despite someone trying to swim laps right next to them. What sent me (and my ten year old) over the edge was when an entire group of young children arrived from outside the hotel. A day camp I think. There were now an additional 15 or so kids, plus 3 or 4 adult supervisors. For the first half hour they were there, the outdoor pool was still closed due to bad weather--why they did not open up another of lane to accommodate this group is beyond me. They expected 30+ people to swim comfortably in one lane of a NOT Olympic sized pool?! It was ridiculous so we left and went back to our not very clean room (pubic hair in the bathtub, stains on the carpet and on the bed-skirt) and ordered over priced hamburgers that were hard as hockey pucks and ridiculously over-priced. It was just an all-around very disappointing experience. I will not be returning there.
cleanliness, friendly hotel staff Women's bathroom above my room. You could hear high heels and high power toilet flushing from the 6th floor bathroom every few minutes.
When I order a superior king don't change it to double bed room and tell me that's what I ordered
I loved how quiet it was even though there were families with small children at this location. It was very peaceful and relaxing. The room was a bit cold even though we adjusted the thermostat. It was fine we just used the extra blanket in the room... It's still a nice place to stay!
Nothing I booked my stay thru my mobile app and realized I had the wrong city .. I picked Morristown and I needed Moorestown .. I called no later than a second and explained my error only to be told I had a non refundable reservation . I asked if I could at least get a discounted rate or lateral transfer to the correct city. They refused.. I ended up getting screwed..
Rooms are generously sized and comfortable. Included a nice breakfast. had a 2br suite and the TV in each bedroom worked, but the tv in the main suite area didn't.
We go to concerts often and stay overnight. Of all the places we have stayed, the Best Western Inn at Morristown rates far above the rest. I dislike LARGE chain hotels and we were thrilled with this smaller and cozy setting, which was within walking distance to our venue. The customer service was outstanding, the room was clean and beautiful, and the price was perfect. The Front desk people were genuinely friendly and helpful, and the woman serving the breakfast on February 20th deserves a medal for excellence. These folks don't want you to drive home hungry! A full breakfast with all that one can imagine was offered at no extra cost; the made to order omelette was outstanding. We work for a resort and spa in New York, which strives for legendary service and couldn't be happier to find the same quality of service at this Best Western at Morristown. Thank you so much for a memorable stay. We will surely be back again soon. We couldn't stay longer!
Clean and cozy Early check in is not a problem Free breakfast and night gatherings with soup and salad I wish they have better ventilation. The room next to us cooks a lot all day everyday. And thr smell was just a bit too overwhelming
Literally Everything. Great little room, full kitchen and bath. I have NO complaints. Would recommend to 10/10 people
The room was was absolutely the best I've ever stayed in. I would pick this hotel before any of the others.
Very nice attractive place. Comfortable. Super clean. Really great staff. A bit far from the main interstate for me -- I was passing by on way from Virginia to Boston. Also, wish there were more dinner/meal options in the freezers in the commissary. It was a pretty bare bones selection. And some frozen veggies would have been nice!
Convenient affordable extremely clean and brand-new facility
Wonderful studio suite with a kitchenette. Upscale carpeting, wall coverings and furniture. Easy access to all major roadways from a pleasant neighborhood. Queen bed instead of King.
Everything! Great location, free breakfast with real eggs, very nice room with a kitchenette. All for $106 for a family of four! Nothing
Everything was great. Great price and great value. I especially like the shared amenities with the adjoining Hilton.
perfect complimentary breakfast
We were provided a room prepared for a handicapped guest but it worked out because it had extra safety precautions and I felt safe that my fiancé would be ok. I only felt guilty that I could not take advantage of the pool because I was trying to finish a project. However, he did! It was noisy on friday night and you could hear the neighbors coughing throughout the night.
The breakfast is very good and the lobby is beautiful The pool is dirty. There was hair in my room coffee maker. No linens for the pull out bed. Soap scum throughout the bathroom.
location, room size and layout, atrium and the grounds One bed was sinking in the middle and the nobs were coming off the chest. Also the coffee maker stopped working and called the front desk twice. They said engineering would come but never came. After 2 hours and multiple times unplugging, replugging and resetting,it finally started but was leaking from the second side.
Really bad hotel. Room didnt even come with a coffee machine u had to go downstairs the desk to get it? are you kidding me the breakfast is absolutely nothing i eneded up going out to get my own food. The room was not clean it was well kept.
Everything was nice. no complaints.
Courteous staff. Clean room. Convenient.
This hotel was very clean and comfortable, and the included breakfast was far better than we expected. Our stay was comfortable, and we wish all our hotel stays could be this good. There was nothing negative about our stay.
The hotel was set up nicely for people traveling for business. The hotel is advertised as having a hot tub and pool which is why I selected it for a girls night out but the pool room was "out of order". We were not told about this ahead of time or even at check in. The shower in the room is run down and looks dirty. The toilet wouldn't stop running until you play with the handle.
The furnishing in the room was top notch, as was
Everything was great the service was amazing and the rooms were great. The room service needed some more options.
The room quality. Nothing I can't complain
Staff was pleasant upon check in and the room was what we expected. The price was just right for us and we had a great trip.
-Bed/sheets/pillow were clean, and didn't give me any rashes. -Room was quiet, and air conditioner was well maintained. -Very good location, hop on and off 287. -Decent amount of places to eat close by. -Flatscreen TV with lots of channels. -Every towel in the place the first day had someone else's hair on it. Threw them all in the sink room service got the hint and it wasn't a problem again. -This hotel will demand $100 deposit or an imprint of your credit card or you won't be allowed to stay there reservations or not. This is a VERY annoying practice that should be communicated in advance of you showing up to the hotel. Most ahem "classier" hotels I've ever stayed at do not do this, for whatever reason. -The showerhead and faucet were cheap pieces of junk 25 years ago...I didn't even know that Sunbeam made showerheads. Went from scalding to freezing with a 2 degree turn...you guys should really think about something from this century. -There was only one outlet on the entire front half of the wall, so your choices are use your laptop on battery or don't watch TV. Both can't be plugged in at the same time at the desk. All that being said for what the rate is...all you should expect is a place to crash that doesn't give you fleas. This here place succeeds there.
The room and bed were very comfortable. There was a (quiet-running) refrigerator and microwave. The staff was also very friendly. The light in our bathroom buzzed, and our room was situated right outside the outside entrance to the lobby, so there were lights outside the window and a little bit of noise outside in the morning. However, the amount of light coming in the window from the lobby entrance was really no more than any other hotel would have, and the noise was not bothersome.
Bed was comfortable and clean, bathroom was clean. Decent breakfast. Staff was helpful and pleasant. They ran out of hot water in the morning because a tour was staying there and everyone showered at the same time. Also, they need more obvious signage on route 46 for drivers coming from the west. I drove past it twice.
Location was good. Room was clean.Bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly. Facility and decor was outdated. Lobby was not welcoming and did not present a good first impression.
The bed was comfortable. 1. We could not park in the front of the hotel, otherwise we would get towed; 2. we were in another building; 3. the room smelled upon entry but the smell went away after some spray; 4. The stay, while convenient, was not worth the $100.
Had a Terrible experience at this hotel. Stayed for one night with my teen son. The floor of the bathroom was covered with bugs. The comforters had large how's from cigarettes. The sheets were torn and filled with holes. My son refused to Take off his shoes!!
At a minimum, I expect a hotel to wash the sheets in between visitors, and maybe run a vacuum once a year. This hotel did not do that. The staff did give us sheets out of the laundry room when we asked, but they were not very helpful considering our very minimal request.
Easy to find, quick check in process, comfortable beds Rooms are small and old
Staff was VERY unprofessional, especially the manager.
Staff were helpful It was old and a bit musty. Location was not very convenient from the point of accessing food outlets by vehicle.
The room was clean. Location was good. I reserved a non smoking room, but the room reaked of smoke.
Room was clean and had all necessary amenities Nothing
The TV in my room only received 5 stations. I wanted to watch the baseball all-star game, but I didn't even get the basic networks. I asked the staff and they laughed at me.
There is nothing that I can think of that I like about this hotel accept its low price Its not a good place to be in specialy if you're with a family and kids
Speedy check in and out, bus to NYC, friendly manager, relatively clean rooms, Apart from manager, staff was unfriendly, found a small insects flying around. Staff need to smile.
I will never return there
The hotel's service was good. For example, one Monday (holiday) my friend and I arrived late to the restaurant and we were so hungry, the waitress and the person of the front desk were so friendly with us and they gave to us something to eat. On the other hand, we had very good support through the receptionist about the transportation and the best way to go to NY. When I made the reservation by Internet I requested a non smoking room, so then when we arrived to the asigned room we got a smoking room and its smell was deeply terrible and my things stilled smelling very bad.
room, breakfast I requested a room near other family staying at the hotel & was told there were none of the size I rented. That was fine, I understand. Then he asked if room 2xx was ok with me. I said I don't know anything about it but sounds fine. The room was fine but was the handicap room which I didn't need. I saw no more than 15 guests at this hotel during my stay including breakfast. I'm skeptical of this handicap room on the second floor in a building COMPLETELY on the other side of the hotel campus from where I asked to be placed being truly the closest, best he could provide. I did not go back to complain but clearly I hold a grudge.
Just the location Very dirty, needs to be shut down and remodel. So unhealthy.
The room was clean and comfortable The entryway hallways were left unlocked 24/7; the ceiling had water damage and it was stained all the way down the entryway walls, pretty unwelcoming. The plants were dead and left out in pots, better off with imitation plants. I actually moved a fake plant for the view and hid the real one off to the side...no chi. But it worked for our short stay. Oh, it was very close to the highway and so it was noisy all night with passing trucks, etc.
The building and furnishings are old and worn. The continental breakfast was minimal and there was a cockroach in the bathroom!
Rooms were very old. Bathrooms looked dirty. Was not pleasant to walk into. Not recommended at all. Cheap price equals no good room.
