Loved the view from the main hotel or Lodge. Stayed in a cabin. Run down and dilapidated. Mouldy shower curtain and smell in room. No soap or shampoo when arrived. Coffee maker broken. Staff apologized on our departure but the culture was one of 'don't care' as you are a captive audience. Price was outrageous. Been to 58 countrides and this was the worst value for money ever.
Location. Birds are comfy. Way overpriced. Rooms are big, but walls are thin. Food is not great, service is worse.
Although we were far out in a rural area, we had all the comforts of home including two flat screen tvs and free wifi. Only downgrade on the room decor/cleanliness was for the condition of the carpet. It was past due for a cleaning/replacement. I enjoy being barefoot but could not in this cabin.
privately located in the deep woods. It was quiet. The cabins are complete with a kitchenette. Deer roamed around our porch and a serene pond with a field of wildflowers was directly behind the cabin, making a morning walk with coffee extraordinary! gravel road make the coming and going of fellow lodgers loud.
cozy with great staff and good restaurant Moran is not a town and isn't close to anything. The hotel is by itself in the middle of nowhere
Very clean. Helpful staff Very remote
This was the last leg of our trip to the Yellowstone / grand Teton area, so perhaps altitude was affecting us at this point, but NO AIR CONDITIONING in our room (after their website states guest room amenities include AC) made our night absolutely miserable. Even with the window wide open (and temps dropping into the 40s at night) we were unable to get any air moving thru our room. We were scheduled to stay one more night, but simply could not face the prospect of coming back to that hot, stuffy room again.
We enjoyed staying at the Togwotee Mt.Lodge in early September, '09. The staff is very helpful and helps make your stay even more pleasant. Ask them for directions to special roads for views of the Grand Tetons just across the road. The rooms are comfortable. Though the restaurant menu is limited for dinner, it's adequate. We found the bar menu served in the adjoining room by the fireplace, with other guests, to be a nice change. A computer is available for guests. The location makes for an easy drive to the Grand Teton Park.
Location Expensive for no amenities -as a motel would have. Breakfast included, microwave and fridge, for example
Friendly and helpful front desk. Very economical compared to the lodges within the Teton Park. Highly recommended. Note that breakfast is an extra charge.
Great hotel and cabins. Very friendly staff. We stayed in a log cabin in the woods behind the main hotel building. It was so quite and pleasant, loved this NO SMOKING facility. Cabin was very clean, beds were comfortable and soap/shampoo dispensers were on the walls. Small kitchen area was very nice. Were told internet was spotty in cabins, but we did not have this problem. Breakfast in hotel resturant was very good. Just not a place for late sleepers or late snackers as meal hours seemed to be set for certain times. Some snacks are available in the hotel lobby. Laundry facilities were adequate. We did not take advantage of any offered activities as we had our days booked. Location of property is remote, but if you want to stay in a remote area then this is what you are looking for.
Togwotee Lodge is a great place to stay when visiting Yellowstone, Jackson Hole, and Grand Teton National Park. The lodge has a western casual feel and rooms were very clean. The staff is awesome- very quick to help you in any way. The restaurant is casual but still has enough choices for most tastes and the food is very good. The hot breakfast buffet was good- loved the pumpkin French toast!! But felt the cost of $12 was a little much- maybe a regular hot breakfast menu would be nice- they do have a cold breakfast buffet for $6.The distance to Yellowstone Park entrance was about an hour- 30 min to Grand Tetons- 45 min to Jackson Hole but somehow the ride seemed to go fast because of the beautiful scenery. The beds are very comfy too. I would definitely recommend Togwotee!
This is a pretty isolated location, far east of the Tetons. But the rooms and cabins are very nice, and the restaurant off the lobby (the only place to eat anywhere nearby) has good food, large portions, and a friendly staff
In the woods, close to animals, Found two deers looking at me thru the window when i firstly came into the room lot of bugs outside
confortable, clean, quiet. price was a little higher than expected for only to sleep in.
the location is really perfect where right in the Grand Teton and close to the Yellow Stone National Park. It takes only 3mins by car to get to the south entrance of the Yellow Stone. It looks like living in the forest, with the quiet circumstance, we well recharged our energy for the next day's exploring.
The cabins at Colter Bay are an amazing experience. Each cabin is a historic building, brought in from within the area. The history of these quaint little cabins is amazing. Don't expect 5 star. They are old cabins with basic necessities (no TV, wifi or even a radio). We had a wonderful stay and will return soon.
We stayed in a cabin and it was awesome. Located in the woods with the Grand Teton mountain range as a backdrop. Beautiful. Nope.
I booked these cabins for my daughter, husband, and 2 young children. My husband and I were in a separate cabin directly across from them. The cabins, though rustic, wears very large, very clean and comfortable. The view surrounding the cabins was stunning and breathtaking. The restaurants were kid friendly and very good food.
