Great location in the Plateau, trendiest part of Montreal. Fairly accessible on-street parking.
The younger staff members were helpful and knowledgeable about the area. We used one of the open air parking spots and during the first night, we had some gear stolen out of our vehicle. After this experience, the hotel staff helped us into their indoor parking; however, they still decided to charge us for the parking. Obviously losing $1200.00 worth of gear was not enough for the hotel to give us $10.00 worth of parking. Thanks.
I like the room structure and the location. I also like the friendly front desk. The bath is quite small for my physique - I am 5'10" and weighs 220 lbs. There was one time that there were smudges in the bathroom tile left by the cleaner
the location was good and the staff friendly We had a room right near reception and it was very noisy. The room was rather run down. Also, the hotel runs a hostel so lots of backpackers are coming in and out at all hours.
The staff and location were really nice. The breakfast was good too.
Very comfortable and staff was very accomodating my wireless email did not work, but I think it's my pc..... Might be good to have a cable in the office somewhere for guest's use in case
Excellent breakfast, Friendly staff, Cosy atmosphere.
Small, local b&b. Quiet and quaint. Kitchen open for tea/coffee and snacks.
There was a very friendly, informal and welcoming atmosphere in the reception area and the staff went out of their way to look up details of car rentals, airport services etc for us. For the money and the 'superior' tag, I think the room was too small for two people and their luggage, and the decoration rather garish.
The staff were very helpful, the parc Lafontaine is across the road if you are looking for a quiet relaxing location.Shops and restaurants are close by, Metro is around 10 mins walk away for easy access to the city. A good place to use as a base for a Montreal visit no
Easy access and the location. Too many unnecessary items in the room, but some necessary items are missing. No elevator and corridor is too dark.
Staff was very helpful with our luggage and city travel arrangements
Good location in Latin Quarter and very close to the Sherbrooke Metro Station. Very helpful staff and good breakfast.
Nice ambiente, the Penthouse-Room is quite amazing
Vacation The hotel did not have an elevator. However the staff were zealous about carrying things up and down the stairs.
Excellent, friendly staff. Amazing rooms. Not to mention the great Ethiopian restaurant located in the building (available for room service).
Everything. The hotel was clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful, it was very comfortable, and for the price we paid it was unbelievable value.
Attentive staff, size of rooms. Stairs only - no lift
Nice room, well equipped Couldn't open a window, only french doors
The location is exceptional for MOntreal , the size: small is better for me . The service was attentive. I liked the food in their downstairs restaurant.
Our room was so lovely. The little kitchenette allowed us to have quick light breakfasts in the morning before going out to explore the area. When the weather was bad we were happy to hang out in our cozy room. Beautiful bathroom. The location was ideal for us. Great food and drink close by (including fabulous restaurant attached to the hotel). Easy access to museums, downtown, Mount Royal. My daughter had a knee injury so the hike up 4 flights was tough - not a deal breaker
Close to metro station; parking for car Breakfast served outside the auberge in a restaurant nearby (this seems to be temporary?)
The rooms were very nicely decorated and comfortable. The breakfast was very filling and delicious and we were able to have it in our room. The hotel is not right in downtown Montreal but is close to the metro and it's just a short ride away to the main attractions. The fridge in the room was a plus too. The terrace and hot tub were closed due to renovations :-(
location the room was not as clean as it could have been and many, many stairs to climb
The hotel was very nice, it was like being at a bed & breakfast
The staff in the hotel were very helpful. When they found out that it was our first time in Montreal, they highlighted the main places to visit and helped us to understand how to get there. the hotel was near the sherbrooke tube stop, so easy to move around the city. Breakfast was delivered in the night before, so could have breakfast in bed! There was some major building works going on, this did not impeed on our visit too much, however the whirl pool and terrace were unable to use.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable beds, quiet room Large breakfast. Close to everything. No elevator--very steep stairs with large suitcases. It was also in the micst of a large renovation which took away any charm. We could not access our room until 5pm
Very good location: near metro station and in a nice neighbourhoud
location was good lots of shops and restaurants in the area, we were visiting a child at McGill so it was close to the University. Services were good staff were friendly breakfast was ok room was small, and to many stairs no elevator, we had to use 3 different keys to get to our room so that was a pain
The room was beautiful, quiet and relaxing. The staff and amenities were excellent and the location was ideal. The next time we are in Montreal we will definitely return!
was ok, but there are better hotels on Rue St. Denis for smaller price and closer to downtown. Besides there were ants in the room. ants in the room!
The place was clean, comfortable, charming, and the staff went above and beyond. Recommended!
Great location. Friendly staff. Kitchenette. BALCONY! Murphy is OK for a night or two. Parking can be tricky.
Great for independent travellers. Breakfast delivered to your door suited well.
I didn't like old and greasy croissant hanging at the door knob for breakfast. It was very difficult to regulate temperature in the room: setting termostat high was a bad solution to compensate a cold air blowing from the ceiling.
Friendly and helpful staff. I had a quite spacious room (n°27) with a view of Saint-Denis street but without the noise. I also enjoy the morning croissant & orange juice. And of course, the hotel has a great location! An improvement could be a better bath kit, the paper (to read with the breakfast) and maybe a more copious breakfast...
The location is excellent, close to places of interest in Montreal and easy to find. The room was tiny and shabby. The bed was a "Murphy" and not a real bed.
Comfortable, spacious and tasteful room with fully-equipped kitchenette. Although our room faced a main street, it was nonetheless quite quiet. Fresh croissants in the morning are a nice touch. I've had better croissants in Montreal.
its well located and has nice staff and it is clean and well taken care of well, the breakfast is quite minimal; at one time, in one room the door wasnt closing/openning easily and well; the fact that in one of the rooms we stayed one could look in from the stairs at the back of the hotel
Staff were lovely and helpful; room was fairly small but microkitchen very well appointed and stocked; croissants on door every morning were excellent, along with juice and coffeemaker; location on Boul St. Denis fabulous and central to shops and bistros without being loud or crowded. Beds were extra-firm, a little too stiff. Watch out for high Canadian hotel taxes, on top of total room costs, which ran at least 15%.
