A lovely traditional hotel in the heart of the old town, superbly furnished, Persian rugs throughout, and comfortable spacious rooms. Great breakfast, and parking was available in a public garage a hundred meters away for 10 euros. The hotel was great, getting to it was tricky as streets were blocked for a festival. Be prepared to pay for parking. Restaurants in Linz are rare and full of smokers.
Location! We were in the Muehlveiertle room. The bed was so big that there was very little room to move around. The bed in this particular room was also very high (at least mid-hip high and I'm not a short person) so it was difficult to get in and out of.
The hotel closes at 10PM which in our causd caused difficulties as we arrived at 11PM, staff attitude was not ideal
The hotel in the perfect place. Public parking not far from the Hotel. Suggestion to make a shot time parking place (load on/in) in front on hotel. The rooms are small but nice.
Room was too dark.
Nice athmosfere and good food the church bells 6.00 am in the morning and after that every half hour
the hotel is located in the city center and is very convenient for the transportation and sightseeing. there are no curtains available in the room on the roof. the facilities are old. the breakfast place is relatively small and smells when somebody is frying eggs.
Central location. No parking facility, limited bar hours (10pm close) and very limited choice of drinks etc.
The staff was friendly, hospitable and helpful and our room was clean and pleasant. Beds were comfortable. Morning breakfast was included and tasty. Hotel location is ideal for exploring Linz. I enjoyed the historic site of the hotel and its antique decor. Lobby was small but serviceable and sometimes filled with smoke from people at the bar in the next room. Elevators start up 1/2 flight of stairs and require you to ascend another 1/2 flight to get to each level. This is only really a problem for people with excessive luggage or the handicapped.
