Ok, we are talking middle east accomodations here people, not US. This place is a fantastic value for Jerusalem, and I researched quite a bit. It is quite basic, but the room was surprisingly spotless and comfortable. The staff was so helpful and courteous. I am a US female solo traveler and I felt secure there. There are a few small stores and food places within the same block. It's a killer walking back up the steep hill, but you can walk down to the Old City in about 20+ min. I needed to keep window cracked for hint of breeze, and the traffic and people on the street were quite noisy. I live in a city so it didn't prevent me from sleeping. A fan moves air around a bit, but it can get pretty hot. I would not recommend wandering the area after dark, but I'd probably say the same about most neighborhoods there.
Nothing filthy, no A/C, disgusting breakfast, Water was either cold or extremely hot, no in between. Terrible experience. I hope this helps others avoid it unless it's given away.
It was OK, but cannot say very good. We stayed as per the booking from 08th Oct to 11th October. We continued staying further from 11th Oct to 14th October and we checked out on 14th due to revised plan.
The hotel is rather basic but the staff was friendly and helpful. It is convenient located and albeit the area is not the best, we managed to find a nice local restaurant hidden just 50 yards from the hotel. On some night you can have dinner at the hotel. Good atmosphere also between guess staying here. Bit noisy especially if you have a room towards the street
Good breakfast, nice to have 24hour tea and coffee service, good location and internet access. Extremely noisy. Didn't serve dinner in the evening, which was a problem for a woman travelling on her own. Didn't serve beer!
One of our rooms ( we had two between us) had been recently refurbished. This was excellent, although no air-conditioning. The other room was still comfortable. The hotel staff were very friendly and very helpful in all the requests that we posed to them. In all a very friendly family hotel, with relaxed atmosphere for those on a lower budget.
We had a nice time ,happy to meet an other culture and to realize hospitality from staff as well as guests. We appreciated also the short distant to the old city and our trips with lokal busses. no
Everything, lovely room with wide screen TV, constant hot water, very clean, nice staff, free internet, free tea/ coffee, good breakfast, village atmosphere in a big city, good price Nothing I did not like though I can understand that the area is far from perfect for a solo female traveller
Beutifull place and view, friendly staff Noisy a little bit
Very helpful staff, great location for mt of Olives and East Jerusalem No aircon - we were there on very hot days and sleeping was difficult despite the little fan provided.
