Eco Hotel Vila Galé Albacora

The ants nests in the room, the staff sprayed those they could see but it was ineffective, they need to destroy the nests. Offensive smells from the sewage tanks which were too close to our and nearby rooms.

I booked because usually there is a private boat to take you out to the beach.A Unique selling point for this hotel. It was out of service. a bus service was laid on but took ages and we still had to wait at public jetty for public ferry to access main beach. Hotel guests had to pay extra charge for use of indoor pool. This was not explained to us. Our room became infested with ants on second night.

The hotel is a former tuna factory which gives the buildings a nice historic touch. The hotel area, buildings and pool are great and the landscape surrounding the hotel is amazing.

The rooms could have been more comfortable and more soundproof.

We have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions over the last few years. The location/views from the river view rooms are beautiful.

When we first stayed at the hotel the boat trip to the beach was free it is now 2.20 euros return pp - and the boat takes you to a part of the beach that has only 1 snack bar and 1 set of sun loungers/shades etc.. the cost of hiring these facilites are far too expensive and the snack bar prices were a complete rip off - very greedy!
