Breakfast is disappointing

Location is very good and connection by bus/metro is very convenient. Sauna is good.

I usually come here for business trips because of the location but I'm always very annoyed with staff. Staff speaks English well but they do it with indifference and even rudeness. I've never seen a single smile from the staff in this hotel. In summary, staff is not properly trained for a 5 star hotel and looks like hotel doesn't even care about it. In Spain this hotel service would be 3 stars maximum. Breakfast altough it is a buffet and there is plenty of options is too expensive. It will only pay off if you want to eat a super breakfast.

GREAT LOCATION

Rooms a bit dated

Rooms are quiet and clean and bed comfortable. located near to Hengshen subway and easy enough access to the city. function / meeting rooms basic but adequate.

I liked that it had a very extensive and fully equipped gym

The shampoo and conditioner could have been in bulk containers instead of small disposable plastics. Not cool.

Nice business hotel. Spacious rooms. Comfortable bed. Great staff. Nice location. Not walking distance to the main sites, but easy metro access.

Was a bit warm in the rooms and per Chinese law the AC only works in summer.

The View from my room was terrible, basically there was no view. Just another wall. Concierge refused to book a taxi for me for 8 am. He said it is rush hour. This is not acceptable.

The main reason I like to come back here is the excellent location, relatively comfortable rooms and reasonable price.

Like the first time I stayed, I specifically booked the room rate with breakfast included. Again, when I checked in, reception told me that breakfast wasn't included. The guy quickly changed his tune when he saw that I was angry and said that it was his "mistake". When this happens twice, you have to wonder ...! The hotel is showing signs of its age and could use a facelift in places. Breakfast is still low quality for RMB200 per person and the Western food is only just luke warm to cold despite promised improvements.

I have stayed here many times and I was very disappointed this time around I was given an older room and it was not as I would have liked Particularly the shower with drainage issues The bed was not comfortable and the mattress needs to be updated I usually find this hotel very good I will be making a comment to the Duty Manager tomorrow morning

Very good value for money. The concierge is available and polite and the surroundings (french area) is a nice neighborhood.

Facilities are not really what can be expected for leisure (e.g. swimming pool). The hotel is a bit far from the bund and the city centre (about 30 minutes by subway).

The thermostat in the room was controlled centrally, therefore my room was always too warm and I couldn’t adjust the room temperature at all. There was no purpose of having a thermostat in their rooms.

Amenities were unclear. Pool staff were unfriendly, and asked me to wear a bathing cap. There isn't an airport shuttle, although it is listed in their guide. Had to wait for a taxi, and should have been given other options.

This is quite a nice hotel. However, as commented in July, the interior is looking in need of refreshment. Rooms are really nice with a good bathroom. At the back of the hotel are some nice tennis courts. If I try to put breakfast out of my mind, then this is a comfortable, clean, well-located hotel. Overall, not bad Price/Quality for Shanghai.

The breakfast buffet food is only barely warm. In July, after my comment on Booking.com, the hotel manager replied that he would ensure the temperature of the food was monitored and kept at a proper temperature. This did not happen. I pointed this out to the restaurant manager and, to his credit, he brought properly heated food to my table and apologized, which saved the day.
