Amazing , need to be...
The location is just perfect to enjoy a great view on the Huangpu River, with an executive room it was just amazing! The room was large, comfortable with a scenic view , just perfect.
Comfort subject to time of...
Staff was friendly and professional.
I stayed in late January. There was no AC in the room, only heat and so the temperature in the room on a warm night went up to the high 20s making it nearly impossible to sleep. Called at 2am and no solution available. On the 2nd night of the issue the staff offered me a 16% discount, which was more offensive than generous.
Pay for the view, but...
The view was nice, I paid for a King View room. Was given room on 75th floor, which meant you could see the oriental pearl and the other high rise buildings. Breakfast also had a nice view.
Staff Before check in, I wrote asking for information on the spa (hoping for a leaflet with prices or explanations) but was told I could find out upon arrival. Upon arrival, the staff didn’t seem to care. When I arrived, I had to queue in a line for 10 minutes just to check in. They had an empty roped off club lounge, whilst all their guests were standing with luggage. The staff were not very helpful. During breakfast, the staff only reminded me that they close in half an hour, so I’d better be quick eating. I felt rushed and uncared for. Room In the room, there was paint cracking on the ceiling beside the lights. It felt a little bit unloved and in need of some TLC. Breakfast Breakfast was average. Mostly I felt disappointed that nobody explained the options. It was only when leaving that I realised there was a second hall offering Chinese style food.
The view was spectacular. Loved the pillow menu and the gorgeous marble bathtub. Our window faced the Shanghai Tower! Alex at the front desk was a delight.
I wish the pool could have been open, but it was understandably closed because of the virus. The staff were very patient and apologetic.

We came to the hotel to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday! 🥳 Thanks to Alex and Jenny we got a lovely corner room on the 66 floor with amazing view. Everything was clean and comfortable. We really liked the big bath and the big bathtub. The service was exceptional. The was as well very good, big and tasty. It was great stay!

Staff are focusing, responsible, nice view. .
the facilities are getting aged. Needed to tide up. such as bathroom door was stuck, has to squeeze into the room. The clothest storage is in the bathroom and not convenient.
I really liked the view of the second tallest building in the world, The property was convenient to local sites and good food.

Amazing hotel, very impressive! Comfortable, very clean, fantastic breakfast and a wide choice of good restaurants and places of entertainment!
A little miss-understanding that was immediately resolved by the manager Pablo Padilla.
Location location location.
Aging rooms, bathrooms. No value for money. Compared to other 5 star hotels the service and room quality is no longer up to the mark.
Great view on Level 79 with River view. We can see all attractions from our room. Very Comfy and firm bed. Bath Amenities are very classy.
At first the location! It’s different techno modern city in this area. Hotel’s interiors are the best. The skyline views from the lobby on the 54th floor and my room on the 74th were just out of this world!:) The variety of choices for breakfast and dinner was enormous out of the best quality food possible. Loved also the divided spa area for women and men, pool was also nice, not to gib though. The fitness area was a bit small, but with an outstanding view through floor-to-ceiling windows over the city and the Shanghai tower:)
Since the hotel is far from new, the pipeline is pretty tired, so you may experience unpleasant smell if you don’t close bath’s and sink’s drains after every usage.
breakfast location has really a great view.
First room had quite strong cigarette odor. Staff quality was really variable but in most cases not very attentive nor helpful upfront. We both didn't sleep well in the bed...strange.
Facilities for example Sauna & Fitness.
In the case of foreigners, it was not easy to communicate with the employee of the HOTEL in English. The food in the buffet restaurant and the room service were not good enough to say "Thank you"
I recomend fully
Nothing
The rest of the hotel including concierge and room service was above expectations. Loved their hospitality!
Breakfast could use more variety and flavor...it was only mediocre for a 5-star hotel and at such a prominent location. The cleanliness of the sheets (where there were stains) and the smoky scent in the toilet was a damper.
Location was the best
Too crowded
the variety of the breakfast for similar category of hotel is poor. langham hotel xin tien di has better food , intercontinental in hangzou has much better variety . Fresh fruite joice is important, lack of fresh Japanese shashimi and sushi.
1st floor lobby to have some chairs
The magnificent view from high floor. Breakfast was of excellent quality. The grand marble bathroom. The friendly front-desk staff. The cute robot who delivered items to my room.
Location was pretty good, considering about a 10mins walk to the train station, the breakfast was of quality and definitely the high floors.
The room was big and spacious, however the aircon was not working. They switched our room to a suite on the 3rd of 5 nights of our stay which in my opinion was a little slow considering they brought portable aircon to our rooms which did not help our situation.
The location and the reception staff was helpful and friendly especially MR Allen and Ms April , thank for all staff and sure i will stay there again
I like everything
the only thing that was good about this stay was the check in staff, really nice and friendly her name was Anna, I heard other staff calling her...
the showroom was a disaster, my feet were in about two inches of water, not sure what went wrong, room was small, not worth for what I paid for. When I told the staff about the problem with the showroom, no response, clearly nobody cares. Lousy experience, definitely won't come again, and this is not Grand Hyatt standard, for everything here. Shame on you.
Convenient, clean. Friendly staff. Will stay again next time in Shanghai
Nice high rise hotel with wonderfull view. Good comfort for reasonable price.
-
The room was nice, bathroom was great. Great views of the city overlooking the river, 2/4 walls were floor to ceiling glass. Close to subway station. Gym facilities added to our stay. The spa facilities were great, especially hot and cold plunge pools.
We were hoping that a 5* would be a special treat and had looked forward to the service and high-rise room. Unfortunately the service was, at best, of a 3* equivalent in our home country of Ireland. It detracted strongly from the excellent facilities. All restaurants in the hotel were closed between 2.30 and 5pm so we were forced to have to order room service. E.g., cold room service food (twice); difficulty in finding an unreserved seat due to no greeting staff at bar/restaurant doors (twice); coffee bar staff were cross-contaminating previous orders and spilling coffee on cups; breakfast was served across 3 bars - which was not explained to us, so we missed out 2/3 of the selection. €80 manicure had half cracked off before checkout the next morning.

Great location. Breakfast in lounge was nice, it gave a good start to your day. We also enjoyed evening cocktails at lounge. Room gave majestic view to Bund and surrounding areas.
Room was out of this world. View, bed comfort, service amazing.
Cloud 9 was such a disappointment. Close it down if you can't be bothered training your staff and improving your offering. Such a missed opportunity.
My room was on the 79th floor and the views were absolutely breathtaking!
Old and tired. Not worth a cent for the standards. Not a single person likes the place. Staff also incompetent. Sorry to say but overall very lousy.
Location
There was not much variety for breakfast. I was told to have hotel stay bill via email . I have not received final bill yet after checked out till midnight now.
Great location and view. Very clean and spacious room. Free breakfast buffet! We planned on heading out for breakfast so we didn’t book it but they offered at checkin for free! Very nice selection of continental and Chinese dishes.
Front desk was always so busy, both checkin and check out. Even with a long line of customers waiting, they only had 2 counters available. I’ve never been so stressed at a Hyatt location. The walls were thin. I could hear the neighbors chatting and laughing (maybe just loud people but still...).
Great location, stunning views, very clean, good service, great choice of F&B
Could be more efficient with the check in and check out process. There always seemed to be long queues
Beds snd bathrooms amazing. Views were superb
Nothing
Very good location to major points i was about to see
Wind! it is impossible to sleep during high wind. Metallic construction on the facade of the building is resonating with the wind and making loud noises in the room.
Fabulous location
Views. Helpfulness of staff
Bit far from traditional areas
The rooms are very clean The view is amazing The pool, gym, sauna etc. are very clean
First of all I have to say that we’ve been at this place over the Chinese national days, so maybe at a different time things would have gone differently. Nonetheless far from the 5 star service you should expect. For check in we got a number, even when we were called out we had to queue in a another line. Nobody was taking care of the luggage or showing us our room. No problem in a 3 star hotel but at a hotel in this price range I expect more. We went to bar at the 87th floor in the evening, a whole area was locked down because it was literally raining inside (not dripping). And for a Hotel that has around 500 rooms it was very disappointing to have such a small breakfast restaurant. We had to wait 15 minutes in the morning to even get seated. Once that happened we went to get food we came back to an already cleared table, so better stay seated. The lady making the Chinese pancakes was very rude to my girlfriend when asked what different choices she could have. All in all disappointing for the really not cheap price.
Amazing room and of course amazing view!

I’ve been on business trip to Shanghai over a month, and have stayed in three different five-star hotels around this area - Grand Hyatt tops all of them. What stands out is the staff service at Grand Hyatt, I’ve met many very friendly, courteous and helpful staff in every part of the hotel: reception staff who recognizes me and greets me every time I walks past the front desk, reception staff who helps me check the invoices properly and make sure I get discount for laundry services as a member, when i need help ordering food delivery (I am a foreigner, I can’t pay through the China app), a very helpful reception staff assisted me with it and the concierge brought it up to my room, etc. I can go on with many good examples, but this is the hotel that makes me feel like home. Excellent team with top notch service! PS: I love the gym room, it has the best equipments amongst the hotels I stayed.
Nothing.
The bed excellent
The cloud 89
Good location, great view
No coffee machine on my arrival
view on the Bund, staff, location
Pool
Good location in Pudong.
No outdoor view. No fine dining with romantic view. The music in 87 floor was inproperate play to the ambiance while dinning. Not a good place for honey moon.
Good location, staff friendly helpful
No have
Food is tailored to Asian tastes There is little choice in western food
Service at the reception can get better
Location is convenient and the view is amazing from the hotel rooms located in top floors and the bar
The price could be cheaper. It is quite expensive rate per night taking in account various alternatives in Shanghai.
Great location in the heart of Lu Jia Zui financial district. Room is very comfortable and clean, and I get a very good view of the city from high level. Gym facility is good, and I enjoyed the piano bar on level 56, as well as the tapas bar at the top of building. The note meets my expectation of a 5-star international hotel, excellent stay!
It was extremely busy during summer time, with a lot of local family travellers. The hotel reception on level 54 can be too crowded and noisy at times. Perhaps that would have Impaired the classiness / elegance of the hotel ambience, especially for me as a business traveller, as it felt as if I’m in a local street market.
Good location Friendly staff
Changing elevators every time we are in and out
Stunning riverside views from the room on the 76th floor. Great location in Jimao Tower landmark, convenient to get to many key business locations.
Everything perfect.
Location is perfect!
quite
Arrival at 1 pm , and waiting for check in 2 hrs by the reason of the clean not finished. Parking is free. The rewards can not be account due to not direct booking from Hyatt websit
The location and view is fantastic
Not willing to provide water. We ask for 2 bottle wait for 1 hr and call again and wait for another 30 min and call again. Only after 4 call with an angry tone are they willing to send 2 bottle to our room. Really unexpected.
Good location and the building and view are so cool.
Hotel is in a good location for the IFC and surroundings. Worth paying the upgrade to a club room
There was a smell of cigarettes in some areas (even thought the hotel is smoking free).
The receptionists were very impatient and rude... didn’t tell you how much she would charge for the deposit but just did it. So disappointed this time and won’t stay there anymore in the future.
No friendly reception
.
breakfast too expensive. the need a more cost effective breakfast option
Gym has a lovely view, good location close to the river, big room and very clean
Lobby is a bit cramped, some restaurants under renovation
Room large, comfortable and good view. No delays when trying to get a lift despite number of floors.
Layout around reception and particularly through breakfast restaurant creates bottleneck when busy. Number of staff on hand makes it worse. Don't hand out cards with hotel address in Chinese, to help foreigners with taxis.
The location is nice, but it's the building itself which is mindblowing. The atrium is like a giant space rocket and the views from the rooms are spectacular. The rooms are splendid. We were on floor 81, with peeks of the Bund and the Shanghai Tower. I forgot a couple of silver rings and got them back 2 days later. Also asked the conference center for equipment and got it.
The laundry rates are ridiculous. Paid more for a small laundry than for the room. Not that they lied about it, but it makes zero sense.
They upgraded my room to a junior suite for free. Very confortable indeed with all the amenities. Excellent and complete breakfast. Stupendous location. A pity I could not use the pool.
I found a bit difficult to get my way around the hotel, but that's probably just me.
The suite was very spacious and comfortable. Check in staff was helpful and attentive
Breakfast variety was lacking and food was not topped up
Room was small and bathroom an awkward shape
Restaurants selections limited and food quality mediocre
Great location Big room with a big bathroom as well
Amazing view of the city, room is extremely clean, bed is comfortable
Breakfast was average and poor value for money given so many good places to eat nearby The bar has a strange layout, very big but not so good vibes One of the rooms we had had an accident where the bathroom glass door completely collapsed! Luckily my husband was not in the room at that time. It was unclear why it happened. When we spoke to the hotel staff about this, they did apologise and offered an upgrade, free breakfast etc. However, it was only after we asked for some compensation and they didn’t offer any of it in the first place - which was disappointing given how dangerous this accident was and how it significantly impacted our stay.
Great tower, views and nice room. Great lounge with Cloud 9 bar.
Restaurant was ok only
Large room. Great view
The hotel promised to give us a room at a high floor, but actually we were only 5 or 6 up from lobby level. Disappointing
Nice view & Good location
The breakfast in the club lounge was excellent. Good variety and excellent service.
Nothing. Everything was great.
High quality. Both a tub and a shower. Great bed. Great view from 65th floor. Price was comparable to a tacky Shilo on the beach in Seaside, Oregon. Well worth the money. Great end to my trip which was mostly in hostels.
Cups, a pot to boil water, and tea bags in the room could have been provided.
Great staff, when you reached the checkin desk and onwards. Great location for a few days. Then you want to be on other side of Pu river.
45 minutes waiting time for checkin. Don't arrive at lunchtime.
This was high class, but price was comparable to a beat up old hotel on the Oregon coast that I stayed at. People were super friendly, meals were expensive but very good. Incredibly nice bathroom with shower and tub. Great pool, sauna, hot tub. Had a weight room open 24/7. Great location.
liked it all.
Sherry at reception was fabulous. Very friendly, helpful & personable.
Yes!! Fantástic!
Staff not really friendy!
Amazing views, great buffet breakfast
Reliant on taxi to get across the The Bund size of Shanghai - there is a metro close by but no way of walking
Beautiful hotel in a great location. Lovely well equipped rooms with incredible views of Shanghai! A must stay hotel in Shanghai!
Nothing
Great place in Shanghai. Not a cheap one, but it is a special place. The staff is doing miracle to handle the crowds of tourists and guests at one and the same time. My rooms were at the club level and they were perfect.
Internet - it is a real problem. Definitely not the hotel’s fault, but be prepared for the long download of any page.
Great location and staff in general were helpful. Breakfast was good with lots to choose from. The guest lounge was a nice place to unwind at the end of each day, well stocked and nice snacks.
Checkin was very late which is not acceptable when travelling long distances. Once we got into the room there was still dirty coffee cups within the bedroom area. Quality control of the clean was lacking.
Wonderful hotel in the new financial district of Shanghai. The staff are attentive and professional. The rooms are spacious and you can’t beat the view!
Good location
Very good Hotel, Very nice location.
The view from the room. The staff was friendly and well trained.
The bathroom was spacious enough. But it’d be good if the wash basin area was a little wider. I also didn’t like the wardrobe. The doors from the bathroom side was hard to open.
The bedroom is OK
Grill restaurant is very expensive. You pay a huge beef of 1000g without vegetables included... The sauces are not good, the scallops are not testy and the worst is the dessert absolutely out of this standing should be :-(( Finally except the view I will not recommend it at all. Knowing that Hyatt on the Bund is 10 times higher quality...
The view is everything. The breakfast was also fabulous - as well as the Grand Cafe where it's served. The location is fabulous - close to everything including the metro.
A disfunctioned hairdryer in a 5-stars hotel was realy disappointing. Also the girls at the reseption desk were super slow both at check-in and check-out. The coctails in the Cloud 9 were also so-so. 10000 RMB deposit is also a nonsence and groundless
Perfect location, great hotel
all fantasitic
