The spa was great. I didn't know that the water was salted and it was a great experience. They offer full-service spa facilities and they are in good condition.
I booked a room with sea view and although I could see the sea from the bedroom, it wasn't situated immediately on the seafront but in an additional building the hotel has behind the main building. I was expecting a quitter room because I actually could hear what the people in the next door bedroom said as they spoke, and the traffic from the road as well. Cleaners were very noisy when doing the job.

I stayed here on my birthday trip and it was a wonderful experience. I had an ocean view, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the spa was relaxing and well managed. The location is AMAZING! I felt so lucky having picked this great place for my actual birthday as it was my first visit to the region and I travel around by car each day or so to different towns. I appreciated how the spa has some basic courtesy policies to ensure all guest enjoy themselves. Policies like limited time windows, bathing caps for keeping water clear, hanging towels up so people don't "save" chairs all day, etc. These are little things, but as a frequent traveler and spa-goer they add up to a much nicer overall experience. My dinner at the restaurant was also excellent. Very happy, I would visit again, highly recommend.
The facial I had at the spa was average, not terrible, just not as good as everything else. Next time I would just get a massage. I was "admonished" for wearing flip-flops to dinner, but had walked 20 miles completing the El Camino de Santiago that same day and so my feet were in pain. They accommodated me, and I do understand the desire for a bit of formality for a nice experience, but I was otherwise in a relatively nice outfit. (It really wasn't that big of a deal, but know there is a dress code) Finally, I do NOT recommend the $18 breakfast, there are better options nearby and this was overpriced for what it was... I think they make it overpriced so there are fewer people.
